If I could give more stars I would! What a beautiful place! So much fun! I had a hard time deciding what to order but settled on the eggplant tacos. They were completely amazing and delicious! My granddaughter and I had lunch and we had hot tea to drink. It was served in the cutest little flowered cups with tiny gold spoons. So many beautiful details in the atmosphere, presentation and food. Too many good things to mention! Highly recommended! You will love it!❤️

I bought the Maya Latte with an extra shot of espresso and it was amazing! I've tried coffee everywhere, this is some great stuff.

First time visiting this place. And already planning our second visit soon. Very unique place. We asked for the smash tacos that were off the chain and the brisket tacos were to die for!! The Martina drink was a must try and the maya coffee was a very good choice. Kelly was very nice and very attentive to our needs.

Went today to try the coffee out, place was really cute inside and everyone was super sweet. Coffee unfortunately came out burnt (ordered a dbl shot latte), took one sip and deff couldn’t drink. They did offer to make me another one but I declined. I did get charged full price for a coffee that clearly (in my opinion) wasn’t drinkable. Prob won’t come back here for coffee.

An unique lounge/coffee bar/restaurant! Cool art pieces decorate the entire place and the food and beverages were delicious! A fun date spot or a place to just lounge solo. Also, Dayan, my server was welcoming and friendly! A must go!

I went with my family on Wednesday last week at happy hour. We ate the cheese and jam board and the prosciutto bites. The coffee is delicious banana and brownie. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, the attention of our waitress was impeccable. Kelly was her name, always with a smile, and she recommended amazing dishes to us. We will definitely return to Maya Cafe

This is a cool place to visit. It's like a little independent owned coffee house that can sit maybe 30-50 people. Our server was okay, she wasn't very friendly but she made sure our drinks were full. Food came out in a timely manner, but I wonder how fresh it was when I could see a microwave in the kitchen. In all fairness, it looks like a very tiny kitchen. It's worth definitely checking out at least once.

Food's alright. Nothing too special, but it's plated nicely. Atmosphere is great, on the walls at least. It is a maximal look, but not uncomfortable. It's the main reason to visit! With that being said, there's fake plants in vases full of algae. Not exactly the best hygiene for a restaurant. The coffee is where this place surprised me the most. I've been here 5 times and the espresso has never been consistent. Very disappointed in the cappuccino, cortadito, and latte. Prices are laughable. $8.50 base price for a latte and $1.00 extra for a different kind of milk. $15-$17 salads. Nothing comparable to other cafes in the area. Definitely not sensitive to allergens; don't bring a vegan friend or anyone with a dairy allergy.

This is an amazing little date night/lunch spot. It exudes charm and atmosphere, yet is very laid back. Highly recommended!

I was excited to go to this café due to the high reviews and the artsy ambiance. In that aspect, you will not be disappointed, from the moment you walk through their doors, you are met with art and music to match the vibe. It took a moment for us to be seated with multiple employees seated nearby on their phones, discussing who was going to serve us. Even our server at points was sitting down on his phone. The menu needs to be updated for accuracy. Some of the food wasn't as advertised. We ordered a cheese sandwich, which was ok. A Maya Burger that had fries on the menu picture, but they don't serve fries apparently (per the server). Then, the empanadas, I ordered a chicken, which was good and a guava & cheese emapanda, to be met with a pastry of blueberry and cheese. Not guava and cheese or an empanada. When I told the server about the false information, I was told that it has always been like that. He just served me what they gave him from the kitchen. The pastry itself wasn't bad, I still ate it, but I was disappointed because it wasn't what I ordered and to be met with "that is what we always served for the guava & cheese empanada." The temperature was hot. It could have been that the AC was down. It not that big of a deal, just something else noted.

A fantastic local gem, hidden in plain sight! Location is easy to find thanks to the custom painted building full flamingoes and colorful jungle plants; This establishment is a multigenerational Venezuelan family-owned, sit-down with service to the table. The food was incredible and quick!

This place was so cute, I absolutely loved this place would definitely recommend people to check it out.

If you haven’t stopped in here, you are truly missing out on a one-of-a kind experience. It’s the details! Every time you visit, you will notice something new. The owners (a completely inspirational blend of family members if you get to hear their story) have put their hearts and souls into their food. The atmosphere is exquisite, from the decor to the French background music. You won’t find this blend of originality, artwork, and delicious food anywhere else.

Where do I start?… The service was impeccable, Our server Kelly was profesional and very entertaining, She gave us excellent recommendations. The fried chicken tacos, Do yourself a favor if you like tacos do not share, chicken was so flavorful and tender. The Cuban sandwich was excellent. You will not be disappointed when you go here. Love, love, love this place! My daughter and I stopped by for Sunday brunch after hearing about this place on Facebook. Wow - great ambiance😍 Since this was our first visit, we asked our amazing server, Adam, for suggestions. His knowledge of the menu was spot on. I highly recommend the eggplant dip. We are already planning our next visit 😋

Really adorable little spot with a cool arty vibe. Had the chicken tacos and in general they were very good except at the very bottom there was very hot and well cooked avocado, not my favorite flavor or texture. Next time I'll order on the side because I think it'd be great on top cold and chunked. The corn salsa stuff...to die for. Service was great, music was way too loud but over all a solid lunch spot.

My food and drink were DELICIOUS and the ambiance was just so cool and chill. My friends food was a little cold in the middle but I still ate it for her haha. I was a little upset that the servers were (while not talking bad), talking about me in Spanish right in front of my table. I think it's pretty b@llsy to speak about ANYONE in Spanish considering this is Orlando and there's a big Spanish speaking population, myself included! They also didn't have change for my $5 in cash and felt forced to tip more than 20% because of it, which would've been okay if I didn't hear them talking about me in my language. Will be coming back for the food and I want to try out more of their drinks. Please though, if you have to talk about a customer for some reason, do it somewhere private or a spot where there are no customers at that moment.

Seriously my new favorite place. The whole vibe is just amazing. And the food is good and reasonably priced. Get the banana caramel coffee next time you go! It's soooo good!! Can't wait to go back.

Amazing food, coffee, and dessert! You can't go wrong with anything here. We had the Cuban sandwich, banana caramel coffee, and coffee flan. All made in house! We'll be back soon!

The food was good and the ambiance was definitely a selling point. The place is pretty small though. The staff was very friendly and kind, but there's only a few people running the store. We were unfortunate in being seated just before a big table/big order so we ended up waiting around 40-50 minutes for some decadent tacos. Would recommend if you're patient, not in a rush, and don't mind a small space where you can chill in the artsy vibes with some good food.

The vegetarian ramen is horrible, it tastes like hot water! DON'T ASK FOR IT! The rest we ordered was good. Today the service lasted 1 and a half hours for an order to come out of the kitchen. Today according to the waitress they were having problems. We ordered a dio de cob and the tortilla chips they served us were the leftovers of a package, tiny. We asked for change and they arrived 20 minutes later. Someday I will give them another chance. Very delicious burger!

We came to give this cafe a try for lunch on a Saturday. The service was pretty slow because they had a lot of customers. They did make us aware that there would be a wait. We tried the caramel hazelnut coffee and banana caramel coffee. Both were tasty! For lunch, we tried the Cuban sandwich and steak sandwich. The presentation was very nice. I’m not a fan of macaroni and cheese but theirs was delicious and very cheesy! I would get it again in a minute! Overall, we had a great visit. Lots of items to look at and games on the table to pass the time while waiting for the ordered items. We will come back again!

My better half found this gem while looking for unique places in town to eat. We visited Friday afternoon for brunch and definitely not disappointed in this gem. Google maps directed me to enter through a driveway before the actual entrance to the restaurant and took me on an adventure through an office plaza. I'm not sure what it was thinking but be aware Maps is wonky. From the moment we stepped in and were greeted, we knew it was going to be great. The restaurant wasn't too busy at that hour (1pm'ish) so it's not surprising for that hour. The menu was varied with many choices and almost overwhelmed is from the perspective that we wanted to try everything because it all was so interesting. Our server was probably one of the best we have had hands down. We are used to having servers that just seem like they are burned out and going through the motions but this was the total opposite. We ordered the Mayas Special and Prosciutto Bites as appetizers, empanadas, and the Street Corn Tacos, with the coffee flan for dessert and Dalgona coffee. I can't pick a favorite over the two appetizers they were both delicious. The two complement each other well. The two empanadas were crispy, not soggy bottomed or greasy like some that I've had before. We ordered one chicken and a spinach & cheese. The spinach & cheese was our favorite as it's not typical where you mostly find meat filled. They do have a guava & cheese that sounded good as well. With just the right amount of filling so it's a good accompaniment to the two tacos which we shared. And there's a really tasty dipping sauce, similar to a green goddess sauce for those familiar with that The chicken tacos though were amazing. It's an outer layer of delicious fried cheese over a soft shell with a generous amount of meat and cheese. I've had a lot of tacos but this was up there on my list of to 10. For dessert, the coffee flan was delicious. A very authentic style flan, springy and not too dense, but also not too overly on the custard side that makes it jiggly. The hint of coffee is not overpowering and gives it a good flavor. The consistency and texture reminded me of my mom's flan which I absolutely loved. Finished off the dessert with the Dalgona coffee which was well made, not too heavy on the coffee side and topped over iced milk which is how I make it at home. Our server was very attentive and checked up on us to see how everything tasted, and made sure we had refills without having to run out which is too common at most places. If I have to ask for a refill after it sits empty too long, that's a minus. The owner(?) stopped my a few times to check on us as well. Overall a great dining experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. We are sure to visit again because it's a really nice ambience with excellent service and food to match. The restaurant itself is eclectic with walls adorned with artwork, painted floors and recycled furniture which added to the uniqueness of the place. It was fun to look around after we finished our meal. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a meal and talk without that feeling of being in a stuffy restaurant and being pressured to get moving so they can cycle through the next guests. This one is a hidden but not so hidden gem we definitely recommend!

I saw this cool and unusual place on TikTok and thought I’d check it out.. We met some friends for dinner. They got an amazing appetizer with hot tomatoes, cheese and bread, and the food we ordered was ok, but their side dishes were delicious. Unfortunately the service was less than. I paid $4.50 for one small glass of unsweetened iced tea. The waitress was so confused when I asked for artificial sweetener. I explained what it was (fake sugar?) and i finally gave up. My friend explained it again and she finally showed up with something. Very frustrating since this is known as a coffee house, I didn’t think it was that hard of a request. Also all the pictures offer fries as a side dish. We asked for fries and again the waitresses was very confused like she had no idea what we were talking about. There were only a hand full of people there and I never did get a refill and left thirsty and disappointed. We were also surprised when this cool vibe music turned off and horrible profanity started spewing out of the radio. I’m glad I went once but doubt I’d ever go back.

Beautiful place, clear that the owners poured love into it. Unfortunately, service and food not up to par. As an example, my black coffee was somehow served cold.

We drove 2 hrs to come here specifically, and our server Dayan was so hospitable & friendly. He made us feel like we were at home. The food was AMAZING, as was the coffee & sangria, I recommend the Maya Latte!! Don't sleep on this cute little place as they are gourmet at great prices! Would ABSOLUTELY come back again!

Amazing little hidden gem in Orlando you must check it out

This place is genuinely incredible in all departments, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and so are all of the staff. A must visit.

Went on a Sunday early afternoon and didn't have any trouble getting a table. Love the atmosphere. Some tables had small games like Connect Four and tic-tac-toe. Great for pictures. The food was only okay. I got the vegetarian eggplant tacos, which I didn't realize was cooked with cheese. The menu just says avocado and street corn. The server asked me if I wanted cheese, and I was confused why she asked, so I just said the way it says it on the menu, which doesn't say anything about cheese. I'm not opposed to cheese, but I also didn't want it at the time. Just seems the menu is a bit misleading. I also got the cardiovascular juice, which I love the ingredients of beet juice, lemon and ginger. I told them to hold the garlic but I feel like I just got straight up beet juice. I did not taste any lemon or Ginger. My favorite was the banana caramel coffee because it actually had pieces of banana blended in it, not just a boring banana flavored syrup. I would go back for the coffee and to try their Maya burger and Cuban sandwich since apparently those are the best things on the menu.

Friends and I visited this place for the first time after seeing all the positive reviews. And sure enough, we loved the place - ambiance was great, food and drinks were excellent! Server was exceptional. The only negative thing I would say is the tips being included in our bills without our knowledge. So when I signed the pad it defaulted to 20% (on top of what was already included in my total but I had no way of knowing at that time since a breakdown of the bill was not provided), so I ended up tipping 40%! Does not seem right but they need to let customers know if they’re going to include tips in the bill already! Transparency is more valued than sneakiness. My drink was $12, Cuban sandwich $13. So my bill should be $25, but I ended up paying $37 as a result of this “double tipping scheme”.

Very nice cozy place with pretty good food. Customer service was great. Will be even and better when they get a fryer to serve french fries with there sandwiches. Will visit again

The place was a great surprise on the inside! Art everywhere and a great vibe in the room. I had the eggplant tacos and my wife had the spicy shrimp tacos. They both were amazing!! 100% would recommend this to anyone.

The food was exceptional! The Maya burger and fried Chicken tacos are a favorite. Atmosphere was very hip and cool with games on the table to play with while you wait. Staff was excellent.

I cannot comment on the food, however the coffee is terrible. The atmosphere is nice, service is ok, coffee is horrible. I paid $19.10 before the tip for 3 cappuccino’s and we all agreed it was the worst coffee ever. Tasted like cardboard. Apparently the owner has me confused with someone else. Nobody ever offered to exchange our drinks, we NEVER got anything for free. I was trying to be nice, however the owner seems to have some sarcasm. I am an avid coffee drinker and I know great coffee from poor coffee. Please be honest in your response and don't pretend we were given free drinks.

My first time and my last time. The place is beautiful inside but unfortunately the service was really bad. I waited 2 hours just for a beer. I had to left the place and find another place to eat something. It’s a shame because have a good parking lot and the decoration for the place is cool. But definitely need improve the service

This place is amazing. We went for breakfast and the food was delicious. They have several options of Mexican and American food. The decor is cozy, creative, and inviting The best was the service; I do not know if this is a family owned and operated restaurant, but we were certainly treated as if the owner with a great attitude was serving us.

Today I passed by The location for the first time, I asked my friend if she ever tried the food she stated no, but she passes by all the time and wanted to try it. So after our errands we made a visit to the restaurant. First impressions was that the place is beautiful. Filled with self made artwork and had an overall artsy vibe. The owners were kind enough to let us know that a lot of the food was homemade and focused on scratch kitchen concept. The service was immaculate and the food even better. Everything looked so good that I ordered multiple things even though I was not able to eat everything. I highly recommend maya burger, the eggplant dip, any of the iced coffees, and of course, the empanadas. I will definitely be back next weekend.

Absolutely love this spot, sooo unique and fun!! Heart shaped straws, adorable coffee cups, the attention to detail is immaculate!! Everyone was so kind. And the food is good!! We went there on Mother’s Day and they did gift card raffles hourly for all the moms. I adore these hole-in-the-wall type spots. 10/10 !!!

This place is so cute and fun. Driven by a 1000 times and never went in so glad I finally did. The coffee was so good and is actual espresso. The bread pudding cake we had was magical tasting I don't even understand what it was but I loved it. The burger was hands down one of the best I ever had. Would def recommend stopping in for brunch.

I went to visit this restaurant due to some of the positive feedback. I was highly disappointed in every aspect of this establishment. This is a very artsy but very grungy, and yes very dirty place. It looks like an abandoned building that was decorated with items picked up from the dump and then just painted. It's almost as if they drove around picking up items from the streets of Orlando, placing them in the restaurant and then painting pretty pictures on them. There was no rhyme or reason and definitely no cleanliness. Everything from the chair I was sitting in, to the table I was eating on, to the menu I was handed was dirty. I ordered a cafe latte and the waiter had no clue what I was talking about. So I ordered an espresso and was serve something that tasted like dirty water which I sent back and then requested a canned drink. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which actually was pretty good but I didn't enjoy it. It felt so dirty in my surroundings, I kept thinking how dirty the kitchen must be if this is how they present the public areas. I have written almost 200 reviews on TripAdvisor, in over 10 countries and very few of them are negative. I'm very glad that this 'resturant' is not listed on TripAdvisor. I think this would be an embarrassment to Orlando. I'm sure the owner will now reply contesting my experience and bringing up all the positive reviews. However, in my experience, those reviews are probably from friends and family, or people who have a vested interest in this establishment. Orlando and the surrounding areas has a million and one excellent restaurants, many of them small family owned, that are clean and actually make an effort to stay clean. Please skip this one...

This place is beautifully unique! I loved the inside. I had The Maya latte, the empanadas and the vegetarian eggplan tacos and I recommend them all. The anti-inflammatory juice was delicious as well. I give it a 5 🌟 I can't wait to go again.

After an excellent movie “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” we chose this place for lunch. From the moment you enter, the decoration is incredible and the comfortable furniture is delicious. 100% recommended.

I've been here a few times and I've always had great food. The service was good the first time I was there. The next time I was a bit surprised when I asked for a gift card for a friend's birthday. I was told they don't have gift cards. The young lady working said she could give me a receipt for the gift card and she would print out an extra receipt. She would then be able to take the extra receipt to the office and customize it, print it out, and then laminate it for me. I was very happy that she offered to do this for me. I sat at the counter, and sat, and sat! I had been waiting for 20 minutes and I asked if she had any luck creating the gift card. She came out with the gift card printed on a piece of paper and said she just needed to cut it out and then laminate it. To my surprise, the other employee asked her to make a cocktail for a customer who had been there for a few minutes. She placed my printed gift card on the counter and started making the drink for the other customer. I asked if she was going to make that drink before she finished my gift card. She said, yes. I then asked for a refund for the gift card, since I'd been waiting now almost 30 minutes for a $25 gift card. I explained to her that I had no problem waiting, until my business was not as important as the other customer who had been there for only a few minutes.

Family owned and run! Very friendly service, amazing creative atmosphere, and support for local artists. Great place to sit for a while and work on your art or writing. One of those cafes where you are welcome to relax and enjoy the space after you eat, or sip slow on your coffee. Excellent coffee and espresso options, food is delicious and adorable in presentation!

Had an amazing first time at Maya cafè! Took my mom for a birthday lunch for our first times & everything was incredible!! The space is beautiful with lots of art to look at. The menu is wonderful & everything was fresh. I ordered the Steak tacos & they were fabulous! Make sure to ask for a side of the cilantro dip, it was my favorite! & the corn dip 😍😍😍😍 the owner gave my mom a slice of key lime pie & it was easily the best key lime pie i’ve ever had! I told them I would be back to buy an entire pie & i wasn’t kidding!! Don’t think twice, visit today!

Wow, what a gem. I was looking for a place to have coffee and do some work, and Google took me to Maya Café in Winter Park. I got a whole lot more than I expected! The service is outstanding. The waiter I had was Dayan from Cuba and has customer service dialed in. They have authentic international food, check out the menu. As I was working on my laptop, a couple came in and the first thing out of her mouth was “oh this place is so cute”. I laughed because my wife would’ve said the same thing. The coffee was EXCELLENT, and the food DELICIOUS. I’ve not seen anything like this place the way they designed it. They have art, books, albums, it’s very nostalgic. It’s a very quaint and cute place to eat and relax. I highly recommend Maia café. Your eyes will be taking everything in before you even walk in the door.

I’m giving this place a 5 star by the feel and look of this place and the friendliness of the staff. Well, on the way home I was craving a cup of coffee and decided to try this new spot. I see it often coming to and from work and didn’t even consider it as a coffee spot. It’s a tiny little building. I believe it was once a bank or something with the drive-through because it’s got the teller lanes in the back. What they have done to this place is really neat and different, it’s almost like a museum or a collage of different trinkets and original artwork. They have old car style booths which was cool. I do have to admit, however that my coffee was not that good, but I believe the gentleman who made it does not have a lot of experience with making cappuccinos. Also, a little pricey, but that’s probably because I opt for almond milk which always turns a $5 cup of coffee into $7. With the warmth and friendliness I felt here, I would definitely give it another shot, and maybe even try some of their food. You can tell it’s family owned and operated. Give it a shot! You’ll see I had a blast taking pictures!! lots to see!!

This place is such a hidden gem! Did a quick search for cafes on my way home from church and found Maya Cafe and got so much more than I expected. The food here was delicious. I had a hot Maya latte (sweetened condensed milk and caramel) and the steak sandwich which was super flavorful and tender! Gabby and Andrea were both lovely and gave amazing service. The vibe and decor was so cute. Great for a cute lunch date with the girls or your significant other. The art in the cafe is all mostly the creations of the owner. They also have a little book exchange library in the back. I will definetly be back here!

I had my eye on this place for a while. If you have EVER been thinking about coming here all i can say is PLEASE DO. It was nothing like you expected and better than you can ever imagine. This place is better than any corporate restaurant. The life and love put into this place is felt and seen in everything. The furniture and glassware to the plates are all so cute and unique that i can’t begin to describe how much i loved it here! ANDREA was the SWEETEST and NICEST server i have ever had. She was so nice and i ordered all of her recomendaciones and was blown away. She was so nice and kind and i absolutely loved her service. Please know how amazing this place is from the views to the staff to the chef in the back.

The most amazing cafe in Maitland. I brought my drawing meetup group and the service was impeccable. The food and drinks were amazing and they were so friendly. The atmosphere of the Cafe is best of all, with all of the beautiful art work up on the walls. Easily the best hidden gem in Maitland.

Maya Cafe has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a delightful staff. Andrea was our server and she was so much fun. She made recommendations when we were torn on which items to choose, and she was spot on. We had 2 specialty coffees (Maya Latte and Banana Caramel, both cold), the Burrata, Spicy Shrimp Tacos on corn tortillas with the street corn side, and the Maya burger (Andrea’s recommendation) with Mac n cheese side. Everything was fantastic, we especially loved the freshness and flavors of the burrata plate. We opted to order dessert and anticipated bringing most of it home. We ordered the Maya cheesecake and the Passion fruit Mousse. Holy cow, the passion fruit mousse was so light and flavorful. The Maya cheesecake was a HUGE piece and delicious. Both were unique items, and Andrea let us know they are house made items. This is a place absolutely worth stopping into, but it’s possible to not see it while driving by. Comfortable, wecloming, good food, and family owned/operated. It’s always nice to feel sincerely welcomed into someone’s passion/adventure and see them genuinely enjoy sharing what they’ve created for you as their guest. The food was great, the smiles were real, and the tummies are happy. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is delightful and Gaby was very friendly! Im surprised I have never seen a single advertisement about this place! Very very cool and alternative. My only recommendation would be to froth the milk just as baristas do as youre serving espressos It’s worth the visit! Loved it

My writing group has been meeting at Maya Cafe Lounge & Gallery weekly for a few months now and I can say it feels wonderful to have this space. Dayan, one of the standout employees, has been welcoming since Day 1 and provides friendly and outstanding service on a consistent basis. The space itself is welcoming and conducive to a balance of focused working time and social time. The menu is varied, but not overwhelming, and has many great options of food, drink, and desserts. Easily my favorite coffee shop in the Orlando area and certainly exceeds the chains like Foxtail and Starbucks.
