Excellent Restaurant, good food, good services

We ordered a platter, three of us ate and left full.. the hookah was convenient, they have an area-comfortable place.

The fact that I didn’t even eat at this restaurant and I’m already giving it a 1 star review. Today is Orthodox Easter and this restaurant has planned a special event where it’s $55 a person for live entertainment. Literally a half hour BEFORE my reservation they text me saying the entertainment group cancelled but we can still eat there with the regular menu. I was a little bummed but it was whatever for us (a big group of 6-7 ppl) because we still were excited to go eat. We get there and we see them preparing for a whole WEDDING PARTY and closed the entire restaurant for a private event, after telling me the entertainment is cancelled and we can “still eat there.” The restaurant was empty with no single person and only the waiters. The waiters ended up telling us it’s completely closed but they can open up the outside patio (which by the way it was raining today and we would’ve been their only customer which is never a restaurant setting). They were extremely rude with the way they spoke to us and we immediately left and went to another restaurant in the area. Please never go to Mazaj if you see any of their events posted online. They are extremely unorganized, unfriendly, and worst of all liars. Please take your appetite and money elsewhere.

Great restaurant! I had an absolutely incredible experience at Mazaj! The service staff were friendly, kind, and attentive.The quality of every dish was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Amazing lemon mint beverage along with the mixed platter with kofta, lamb, and chicken was one of my favorites! They have good hookah and an outdoor seating too, and the DJ was also great. I can honestly recommend everything on the menu as we all tried different things and they came out amazing! Definitely will be coming back

I can't say enough good things about Mazaj!!!!My friend and I make a diner reservation on Wednesday night, and it was a delightful experience. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. And the food... oh, the food is simply amazing! Each dish is bursting with flavor and made with care. Mazaj has truly become our favorite spot in town

This was my first time visiting the place on Palm Sunday and I can’t wait to go back . Loved it ,food is fresh, i enjoyed the hookah and, the arabic vibe going on! Excellent atmosphere and very good service. 10 out of 10.

Went today for Palm Sunday. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Everything was good service quality of food and prices. Will definitely go again to this place. Highly recommended.

I would have give them a five star but they took the grilled chicken breast off the menu. Otherwise, our food was great our waiter was phenomenal. Highly recommend the frozen lemonade with mint.

They use way too much plastic! Plastic cups for every sauce. All the bread comes in plastic bags. And they give you plastic water bottles. That’s so much waste! For what?!?! Why are your business practices so unethical towards the health of our planet? The Quran says we are protectors of the earth. Think about how much plastic it would save to just give people glasses of water instead…. The food was okay.

Crazy expensive. Just for the fact of going they already charge you a lot of money, for a meal that is pre-selected by them, you can't even choose what you want to eat or how much to pay. They charge you for the animation okay, but a show of 15 minutes maximum?? it's not worth it, besides the show we saw seemed like we were in a strip club, seriously?? Not to mention that one of my companions had something weird on her plate, I don't know exactly what it was but I heard when she told the waiter that there was something on her plate and that it WAS MOVING, disgusting. Don't waste your time or money in this place, it's not worth it.

Had an amazing time! This is the second party we have had here (30 people) and it was a great experience! The staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs…they make you feel welcome and comfortable. Joyce helped to plan the party and was very accommodating! Food was phenomenal…hot and cooked to perfection! Highly , highly recommended!!! Look forward to our next time there!!

Mazaj Restaurant is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants you can find in New Jersey. I highly recommend you to visit Mazaj. Whether is for a dinner night or if you plan to book a party for any event they also hook it up for you. The customer service is on point. The food is phenomenal, the hookah is really good, worth it. It is a nice clean and spotless place to go eat. I would like to thank Joyce for helping me and being so kind making sure my bf’s dinner surprise was planned as needed. She was amazing and so was the rest of the stuff. I have been to Mazaj plenty of times and it never disappoints. Thank you again Mazaj.

My family and I had an AMAZING TIME HERE celebrating my moms birthday! They really treated her like a Queen🥰 The food was 🤤 delicious! The appetizers were my favorite! Asked for Medium T-bone. Sent back the steak for being over cooked and came back over cooked. Not worth $35 for this. Worst tasting steak I’ve ever had. 👎

This place is an absolute scam. I came with my family of 4, we ended up paying more than $200 for the worst experience. The food isn't good and way overpriced.

It could be anything but not Lebanese. The chawarmas meet and chicken are not the reel chawarmas they are made on the spot not from the rotisserie

The perfect experience for having Mediterranean food and hookah 💨. Their combo Kabab is awesome with both rice or fries oh and garlic sauce on the side 🤤 Don’t miss on their awesome humus and make sure to finish your meal with their juicy baklava and hot mint tea 🫖 😋

Honestly I really like this place ! They have ADALYA LOVE 66 (so hard to find in America) the owners are soooo nice and hookah are good. The only problem is the waitress.. I went 2 times in this restaurant and she is still sooo rude. No smile, she seems to be fed up, she's constantly annoyed and blows in front of customers Everything is perfect but service is not great cause to her. You should change your waitress

It was my first time in this restaurant. The server included 18% gratuity for a 1 person table without asking. The appetizer was good, the shawarma was overpriced, you can find much better food for half price everywhere else.

Dj and vibes were good until we started seeing like 3 mothers with 3 different babies with them. The place is full of people, smoke and alcohol definitely not a place for 3 years old, management should not allow this. Mix grill was good, appetizers were not. There was 5 of us and each had to pay $83 and some change and we only got 1 plate of mixed grill. Thats a rip off with all due respect to the place.

Grilled items you'll find around. All tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. I've been here many times and have never been let down. It is a must try if you are in the area. Look forward to going back again as always. Mixed grill is my preferred dish.

Disrespectful staff I went in for a birthday party and the security guard at the front door started touching one of the girls and when I spoke to a manager he said sorry he’s drunk. I guess your allowed to be drunk while working there. Stay away from that place specially if your a girl.

Been coming here since 2010 and not once has the quality of food dropped; it can get pricey but overall worth it.

this place is ridiculous and scams people!!! (coming from an Arab here…) we had a big group of 23 for a birthday. we were told that the total cost of everything was going to be $35 with cash without any fees or taxes, which was a lot to being with. first of all, the food wasn’t even all that for $35 each. I had $5 meals that were better than this.THEN they were like ohh now there’s fees, so they told us we now have pay $41. oh no but that’s not all. right before leaving, they said we had to pay taxes even though from the start, we were told there weren’t going to be any because it’s cash, not card. so in the end we had to pay $56 each!!!! for WHAT. We payed around $1,000 for all of us. It was literally the dish below and some dips on the side. that wasn’t a “3 course meal.” this is insanity. do not come here. MY ARAB MOM MAKES FOOD BETTER THAN THIS COME EAT FOR FREE. And please read all the other 1 star reviews because they all say the same things i mentioned.

Mazaj is my favorite place to relax, and enjoy the food and hookah. My friends and I drive 2 hours every week to enjoy the amazing environment it’s always provided from customer service to food and hookah. Highly recommended.

3 stars out of 5 because there is a 45$ minimum charge per person plus we were surprised by the 15$ entrances fee on the bill which nobody mentioned anything about it when we arrived, otherwise everything was good.

This was my first time at Mazaj and it definitely won't be my last!! Rola, the manager, is the kindest and sweetest person you'll come across! Literally a sweetheart and checked on us throughout our time. Our server, Jennifer, was running around in the pouring rain and assisted us with everything we needed at all times. Besides being served with amazing hospitality, you'll enjoy the fresh and delicious food!! The hookah was definitely a great touch to it all. Can't wait to be back soon ☺☺

ROLA IS YOUR GIRL—SUCH A COOL GIRL!!! Had such an amazing time and the service was TOP tier. The food was fresh, the drinks were amazing, and the staff is amazing. Everyone was super nice and gave us more than expected. Will definitely be coming back again. We came when it was raining yet the service was unmatched. They went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed.

This place is great food hookah and performances of the dancer and DJ. I was just disappointed of the hospitality. I felt like it was forever for the waitress to come to my table. I do recommend going here on a Friday or Saturday night with friends.

I went there for party of 36 ppl. We were welcomed by Malika who was our server. First she informed us about safety and health if all guest keep our mask on when we are not eating or drinking. Then Malika was joined by server name Rola who was an amazing server and a host. She greeted all the customers with respect and made us feel home. We were started with amazing appetizers and then amazing dinner. We had few guest with special requests and Rola was on top of everything and honor all request. She even gave me a special dessert personally to me and that was icing on the cake. THE BEST THING CAME WHEN I WAS OFFERED FRESHLY SQUEEZED JUICE and great send off by Rola, Malika, Mohammad. Went there yesterday with some friends. It was a very nice atmosphere. Service could have been better but they did seem under staffed. The food however made up for it. It was fantastic food everyone enjoyed it.

Excellent food! The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavors in every dish were amazing! The ambience in the outdoor seating area was also great, with lots of plants and fun music.
