First visit, I went for breakfast but was too late. They stop serving breakfast at 11:30 AM. So I had a nice lunch. A big thick b. L. T with very good bacon. And then came back the next day and had my breakfast with some very good Buttermilk, pancakes and all the acoutrements I love the waitresses.They are very friendly and efficient.And the outdoor dining is perfect.

Great cozy spot with excellent food!

We walked in and were greeted very warmly and kindly and sat very promptly outside and it was a beautiful environment. The coffee was quite strong but my eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly with a beautifully fudgy center egg and perfectly crunchy English muffin and the home fries were wonderful with just the right amount of crispiness and the right amount of onions and perfectly seasoned

Went for breakfast waited 10 min food was good and plenty...it is a small place so you will not be in between big crowds and noice...can't wait for winter to sit outside and enjoy their cofee☕️ snow birds permitted lol

Delicious breakfast, great ambiance, pet friendly! My boyfriend and I shared a delicious homemade quiche with salad greens and sausage.. it was so good!!! We sat on their beautiful patio with our dog-they immediately gave her water and treats :) We will be back for sure :)

We had a nice lunch for Father's day. Had some wonderful truffle fries as an appetizer. My lobster cake salad was original and excellent. My wife had the Kale and Quinoa salad and thought it was delicious as well. Staff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

My First time there. My newlywed wife suggested it and it was amazing. We had the Eggs Benedict with lobster cake and biscuits and gravy. First of all the lobster cake was amazing. One of the best Eggs Benedict I ever had....... hands down. The biscuits and gravy was really good too. I highly recommend this place.

First visit to the McGregor Cafe and it was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious and Holly our server made the experience that much better. It’s obvious that only the freshest ingredients are used and the meals are prepared with a passion for great food! The peanut butter pie was out of site with just the right amount of sweetness. We are planning our next visit to try breakfast. This is a hidden Fort Myers gem!

I've enjoyed this cafe many times. Today my tuna was more celery and onion than tuna. Too much filler and not enough substance...same with the chicken salad. I was less than delighted.

Very good café on the side of the road, a small patio that cuts off the road. The food is delicious, a wide choice of sandwiches and quiches. Special mention for the delicious homemade chips 👏. You can go there with your eyes closed. Enjoy your food !

Ordered the pastrami sandwich for lunch today and it was horrible. Not sure if the meat was bad to begin with or they don’t know how to smoke pastrami. My wife had their club sandwich and that was OK. Waitress was nice, but the hostess could learn how to smile. Probably won’t be back ever again.

Ordered the Philly cheese steak and a bowl of potato soup. Sandwich was good but not enough steak. Almost $16 the sandwich and chips it should be full of steak. But it tasted good.

We found this gem by accident in North Ft Myers, Fl. Definitely come with an appetite! Large portions. Cheese burger with house potato chips. Philly cheesesteak with house potato chips. Staff was professional. Service was outstanding. Indoor or patio dining. Prices were reasonable. Breakfast or lunch. Quiche to salads to seafood. It definitely took awhile to make my final decision for lunch 😊

AMAZING food, service and atmosphere. We came to visit friends that live here. They brought us for lunch and had to come back again before we left. The best experience ever. I hightly recommend. Krista was our amazing server... loved her. Everyone was friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. And... do NOT forget to get the Key Lime Pie! It is the best I have ever had (thanks to Krista's recommendation). I will be back (it is worth the 3 hour drive from my home in Crystal River) ❤️

Lovely setting on McGregor Blvd. Good generous portions. The desserts are fabulous. Cozy step back in time decor. Would be nice to have an option for smaller portions. Good value though. Lunch begins at 11:30.

First time here and the food, service and atmosphere was wonderful.

Quaint atmosphere went 2 times during our short 4 day visit to Florida. Both times the food was excellent. We really enjoyed everything and the service was super friendly

This is a great spot located on McGregor it is a little pricey for a cafe the trust seem to love it but I think it would be nice if the locals could have it during the offseason and maybe have a cheaper menu you probably get a lot of business thanks....0 April 3rd 2024 update: excellent food I must be richer now, prices aren't that bad, excellent company, I love that place it's excellent!!! All of the staff are very friendly and courteous and they know what they're doing,

1st time visiting this location. Our server was great and very knowledgeable of the menu and specials. We had several different things and all were good especially the poboy and roast beef with auju.

Terrible coffee, with the only option available being worse than MCDONALD'S black coffee. $6 for coffee btw.... Shouldn't be called a cafe if they can't even make basic items like Cappuccino, Americano, or basic espresso. I like black coffee, sweet coffee, and decaffeinated anything that tastes like coffee. I can tell you right now, you're better off buying Folgers. Definition "café, small eating and drinking establishment, historically a coffeehouse, usually featuring a limited menu; originally these establishments served only coffee."

It's a very popular place and Debbie did a great job of taking names and seating. Our waitress seemed frazzled, but food arrived as ordered and was delicious.

Great place for a great breakfast! Very close to a busy street. However, don't let that stop you from choosing this place for a great breakfast, you can always sit indoors! Busy place however people move thru quickly. Staff are very welcoming and friendly!! French Toast wit fruit was yummy!!!

A Fort Myers institution and a truly lovely "old Florida" spot in an increasingly paved world. Live oak trees shade the dining patio, staff is friendly, food is good.

This cafe has absolute best food I've ever had. Don't even get me started with the service, they were so nice and helpful, and they were always there when we needed them.

Our first time eating here while visiting our daughter in Fort Myers. We enjoyed a great breakfast, food was very good, as was service & the venue. Very comfortable & relaxed vibe. I love biscuits & gravy but I am very particular about gravy & asked if we could taste it before ordering & was told “no”. This surprised me & was disappointing, subsequently I ordered something else.

Went at 11.30 on a nice Sunday during season and holy moly this place was packed. It s a small place but they use every inch inside and out. Service was great! We waited about 30 minutes for a table.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and there was a long wait but it looked good so we decided it would be worth it. The host was nice but our waiter, a tall gentleman with brown hair and tattoos, made it very obvious that he did NOT want to be there. No introductions or niceties, the first words he had for us was, "drinks?" We were caught off guard but just went with it. We noticed everyone got these cute little glass mason jars to drink out of, but when he brought our drinks out they were in little styrofoam cups? At this point we were questioning what we did to make him hate us. Eventually we got our cute little jars to drink from. Yay. The food was super good but overall the experience was SO odd because our waiter made us feel like our existence was inconvenient to him. May or may not return 🤷‍♂️

this place is beautiful BUT their breakfast ends so early and their lunch menu is pretty limited and basic - only pastas, sandwiches, and salads. would love to come here more often but the lunch just isn’t worth it to us.

What a lovely place. We had the best lunch here. Delicious beautifully presented food and friendly down to earth staff. And the desert key lime pie was incredible and one serving was enough for both of us. I highly recommend this cafe!

Came here excited for a brunch in pouring rain. My sister and I got there first and our 3 friends were 15 minutes away. They have no waiting area. The miserable hostess took our name and said let me know when everyone is here and walked inside.. as we are standing in pouring rain with no umbrella. After 5 minutes I walk in and ask if we can at least sit down and order a drink while we wait because we are getting soaked. She said no because their seats are limited … there were at least 3 opened tables from what I saw. Safe to say we got right back to our car and redirected everyone to a restaurant 3 minutes away who sat us down served us drinks while we waited for the rest of the girls. Although we didn’t get to taste the food, the horrible service was enough to never return here.

We have been coming to McGregor cafe for years. We have always enjoyed it, but recently, their food and particularly the specials have been incredible!

Went for lunch. I had the Chicken Salad. Very good and served with fresh fruit and slice of lemon pound cake. Excellent! My fiance had the Reuben which was very good as well.

A wonderful breakfast on a busy Monday morning! I brought my dog with me and was able to sit on the patio. Staff right away brought her a bowl of water and treats- the host even checked to see if they had chicken in them, which my dog is allergic to. Service was wonderful, food came out quickly and was delicious, and the atmosphere is a joy. I cannot wait to come back and can see this being a regular spot for us!

This is a great place to go. The service is always good and things always move quickly. There is a fantastic menu with many different selections. There's quiche, sandwiches and salads. The desserts are out of this world!! The key lime pie is fantastic!!! We also had bread pudding!!❤️ You can also bring your dog!!! Whenever I am in Fort Myers, I go to McGregor Cafe. You should, too!

What a beautiful day to go to our favorite Cafe for quiche and unbelievable bread pudding ! Sitting out the courtyard under the red umbrella eating that 2 inch thick buttery smooth quiche and spring salad mix with the in-house dressing was a treat. The bread pudding is drenched in a wonderful buttery brown sugar sweet sauce, and the combination melts in your mouth. PLEASE 🙏, only come here if you want a real treat !!

Service was great. Had one of the daily specials. Biscuit, chicken egg, and creole sauce served with potatoes. We sat inside, very calm atmosphere. Very happy with this choice.

Had breakfast here. The server was fantastic, the food was really good and the atmosphere was nice. The quiche was huge. It was yummy, but I did find the broccoli flavor a bit overpowering, so maybe some extra cheese and/or spices. My husband's omelet and pancake were perfect and the pancake was plate size. Definitely came home with leftovers. They had a nice patio but it was a bit chilly out for me. Will be back when in the area!

A hidden gem in Ft. Myers. It felt like old time Florida. Outdoor dining under the trees. And, great food at a reasonable price.

My favorite breakfast place in all of Fort Myers! The mango mimosas are wonderful and I love the French toast.

I always loved this cafe, I have been many times over the years but somehow it just does not seem the same. The food wasn't as delicious and the atmosphere was a little stiff and not as friendly as in the past. I will go again, it could have just been one of those off days for them. As with everything the higher prices are getting out of hand.

This was our first time to go there , but won’t be our last time. We loved it!!! Our waitress, Holly made our experience flawless. Her positive energy and knowledge of the menu was great! My husband had one of their sandwiches with fries and I got their salad. Both were delicious! By Holly’s recommendation, we shared their chocolate chip bread pudding with bourbon cream with hot coffees. Oh my heavenly goodness!! We can’t wait to go back for their breakfast! Thanks Holly !

Great place, friendly staff and delicious food!

I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with ham steak. I specifically detailed that I wanted the home fries as crispy as possible without burning; so of course they came barely cooked. Toast served plain and was cold and rubbery. The ham steak is so thin it would qualify as sliced deli meat at about 3mm or 1/16" in thickness; definitely not a ham steak. Ambiance is good, waitress was very helpful, but could of done better regarding my food requests.

Located near the Edison Museum, this place has an historic charm of it's own. We were quickly served a delicious and fresh salad with tender grilled chicken (gluten free) for my husband and I had a very scrumptious and large serving of perfectly prepared veggie quiche with a side of greens and balsamic dressing. The quiche was so flavorful and satisfying, the best I've had! If you don't care about fancy or upscale and don't mind or even prefer a cute, quaint place with friendly staff and wonderful food then you should enjoy it here!

Excellent outdoor cafe situated in charming McGregor neighborhood

Prompt, pleasant service enhances the delicious foods because they’re quick, efficient and don’t interfere. I had a make my own omelet that was perfectly cooked. Wife had the quiche and it was delicious. I enjoyed the biscuit a great deal. The grits were ok. The outside patio is a great spot when the weather is agreeable. I will be going here when visiting the area from now on.

I had a French toast and the bread was thin and soggy. Normally McGregor cafe is excellent.

Didn't get to eat anything because the hostess was rude and crochety. So I just left and won't go back. Advice for the owner find people with people skills.

I met a co-worker for a quick breakfast. It was okay, nothing exceptional. The hash was seasoned well, which is refreshing, the eggs were okay, but nothing special. The rye toast wasn't toasted, just warm. Seating is not comfortable and the place could use a little modernization.

Last week we were in Ft. Myers, Florida and happen see McGregor cafe while driving around exploring the area. At the end of the week before heading back to Jersey. We decided to stop at the Cafe. What a cute place. Outside and inside dining available. We sat in the beautiful patio. Our waitress was Holly. She is so wonderful and very pleasant. She went over menu and was very helpful. John tried the Broccoli and cheese quiche and cheesy grits. Myself and little bit of more traditional just scrambled eggs, potatoes with sausage. Absolutely amazing food. Definitely worth a try.
