Suzanne was an excellent server. First time here and she was super knowledgeable and patient. The food was excellent. A hidden Gem. Very cozy and friendly place. We will be back.

I usually only go and sit at the bar but the bartenders are great. Great drinks it's your typical bar food menu, but everything is really well prepared and tastes great.

Really nice local pub. Food is good and service is friendly. Can get really crowded at times. The mussels in hot sauce is to die for. Take the extra sauce home to add to spaghetti sauce for a little kick.

Do not come here if you have attractive spouse,we were stopping here from time to time but this place is simply not worth it,man's hitting to your spouses with comments "what's going on" even when you are away for 3 mins my wife said she never heard cheaper pick up line (simply trash,trash man) and shes a influencer so she brings ppl. I am freaking tired of places with NO SECURITY on Friday or Saturday nights. It was the last time we were here . Food is ok ,large selection of beer too

Horrible. Haven't been in years. Completely ruined my order. Waited so long I took it to go and they gave me raw burgers. Never going back. Won't recommend.

I ordered the muscles marinara, I asked for them to make it spicy not expecting it to really be spicy. But it kicked my butt. It was so delicious that I had to take some home. Under new management, but they definitely know what they're doing in terms of cooking!

Live music does not overpower your table conversion. Haven't been disappointed in anything I've tried on the menu.

Not really a dinner place good for quick eats and a drink. Old owner was much better, new ones not so much ambiance . Woman owner is the new witch on the block disturbing all her neighbors.

The food was good. They charge a fee for credit cards. I only go to places that do that once. It's false advertising. Adjust your prices.

Had a corned beef and cabbage dinner on the 14th of March. Everything was great

A staple of mussels and pizza for many times, we stopped first time for burgers and were pleasantly surprised. Love the new look and hope the new owners do well. Service is pleasant and efficient. The chairs are heavy and need casters because they make a grating sound when you pull them our or push them in, but that's not a criticism, just a design flaw.

The new owner or partner has the right idea of how to run a restaurant happy hour could be a little better food is sensational

Food is great. Trivia is lots of fun and our waitress is always great.

Updating my review. The food has improved tremendously with the new owner. As for the bar it’s always been top on our list in Toms River.

Been here a few time since Pat took over. This is a great place. For a “pub” the food is great. Blackened Tuna, Guacamole Bites, Irish Egg Rolls, & Chicken Murphy! Can’t believe this is a Pub! Service- was absolutely amazing. Great pub feel! Will definitely be back.

Our first time here. They changed their name to "Macs Pub" about six months ago. It is more like a sports bar now than before, I hear. Very noisy high volume level for all screens. Hard to hear others at our table. We had to ask to move to another table, still quite loud. Could not reduce volume for some reason unknown by waitress. Otherwise, very good food, drinks, and service.

We love coming to Macs Pub!!! Ever since the new ownership and menu updates we come almost weekly. I love the honey chicken sandwich, Reuben and salads. My fiancé gets the cheesesteak every time and says it is the best in Tom’s River. Good drinks too and always new beers on tap. So happy to live so close to such a great bar restaurant!

Have eaten here 3 times, the food awesome, atmosphere nice the staff very nice. But service is sloooow. They need more wait staff. You have to wait to long, I've seen people walk out get the meal before the salad.

Great atmosphere and wait staff. Sat with friends after our meal and the server didn't bother us. She was on top of everything and gave us room to breathe. 100% appreciated. I also appreciate live music is kept on solid, advertised days. My wife isn't great with loud music in bars so it was nice to see the live music days advertised so clearly. Thank you.

I love coming here on Wednesdays for trivia. Been coming here for years, specificallyfor triva nights. I recently visited under the new management which meant a new menu. All the food looks good and I can't wait to try it all.

Craig Daniel's was very entertaining last night Fun time!

After being a loyal customer for over five years, I've noticed a decline in quality since the change in ownership. On my last two visits, the table service was subpar, with prolonged wait times of over 30 minutes for food that arrived incorrectly and below the usual standards. Even after sending an order back, it was still prepared incorrectly. I had to request compensation and was offered a 10% discount due to dissatisfaction, as I ended up eating less than half of the meal. While the bartenders remain decent, these experiences have left me with no plans to return anytime soon.

Great local place.. great food, great value. A few more craft varieties on tap would be nice, but that is crowd driven. If you want no frills, have a conversation, mixed crowd, local vibe, it's worth stopping in.

Got to the restaurant approximately 1:30, wasn't crowded. Ordered sandwiches within 10 minutes. It took 40 minutes to get. Two of us got Cuban sandwiches, corned beef was dry. I got the Italian sandwich with salami, prosciutto and burrata cheese. There was 1 slice of salami and 1 slice of prosciutto, I was really eating a cheese sandwich. For $18.00 without fries should have been better than that. One of us got a Rueben, it was very small and the cheese was burnt on top. Non of the sandwiches come with fries Only stale chips. Our tatter tots were a joke for $11.00. Oh and our sodas cost the same as a beer. VERY disappointing. 108.00 plus tip and nobody was happy. Only positive was our Waitress was very nice.

Don't expect to have a conversation at normal conversation level. This place is loud (customers and background music). Service was a bit slow, but not horribly slow and there may have been understaffed as I didn't see anyone else taking orders outside of the bar. The drinks were good and the food was just ok. The burger appeared and tasted like the standard frozen hockey puck. It was ordered medium rare and came medium well. The buffalo chicken wrap was dry. I ordered it without blue cheese, but didn't expect a lack of buffalo sauce. House-made kettle chips came with both, which was a surprise as we expected fries, which were likely a better option. Not sure we will be back at this point. It could have been an off night, so you never know.

Nice atmosphere service wasn’t the best but the food definitely leaves something to be desired I ordered boneless wings as an app and got a diced up piece of grilled chicken breast. The rest of the food was ok but definitely nothing to write home about.

Great vibe, excellent music, FUN time!! Food was scrumptious had grouper and guac bites. All the food looked amazing!! Attentive sweet staff and great drinks 🍸🍹 Highly recommend!

Service was good. Food….not so much. Got the Jersey burger….was so dry it made me gag. Couldn’t eat it. To me, not much has changed from the previous owners. Never again will I give you my hard earned money Macs….never again….Rivs….here I come…..

Hands down, the best espresso martini in Toms River. Bartenders treat you like you're old friends. Makes you want to live up to the feeling they give you of being a regular!

Prime rib night was very good. Out of the white wine. French onion soup was also really good.

Prime ribs didn't have much flavor.

Last time I was at McIntyre's they were in a different location. So this was our first time and it was very good. I enjoyed my sandwich and my bf enjoyed his pizza. There are some improvements being made so the bathrooms we used were a bit under construction, and there were some bare walls but it didn't take away from the service or food at all. Will definitely be back.

We went to McIntyre’s Pub on Trivia night and had a great time! We ordered the buffalo cauliflower (special), hot honey chicken sandwich (special),and the shepherds pie. Everything was perfect. We can’t wait to have the buffalo cauliflower again!

Great foodie spot. Tons of craft on draft. Large selection of top shelf whiskey. Awesome TV’s for sports and they do all kinds of game nights like trivia / music bingo along with live music!

Bartenders are Less than friendly.

This restaurant has very recently changed ownership and I was excited to try their new menu. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in some of their changes and said so on their Facebook page as feedback. Instead of engaging me and accepting the feedback, they blocked me. I was hoping to try again since I loved going there before, but I guess this is how the new management operates. Luckily, there are plenty of other restaurants and bars in TR to visit.

Great St Pat's party and delicious food!!! Irish and excellent. As of last night 5/24, the owners have retired and it will be under ownership. Had a blast last night closing it down with all the friends and regs of the bar!! We will see what the future holds for that establishment now

Our dinner was delicious as usual..I had the Pub Whitecap, which is French Dip. The roast beef is tender and so tasty, and the roll is so fresh. My husband had the Dubliner, which is a huge hamburger. He said it was really yummy. We split an order of garlic parmesian fries. They are sublime and plenty for two to share. We highly recommend McIntyres. Try it, you'll like it too!

We stopped by here at the suggestion of a local regular. We were not disappointed. Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. Good drink.

Food is good, drinks are good, service is good, they have live music too so there isn't much to not like. Their trivia is crap though. They play by weird rules and there are obvious cheaters that no one says anything to. The prizes are usually junk prizes too.

Always enjoy this place but last visit Go Brandon political statement shirts worn by 2 waitresses were unprofessional attire. Freedom of expression is okay for customers but not staff and maybe they should wear McIntyre shirts?

Ordered fish and chips and it was disgusting. Also ordered shrimp an chips and that wasn’t any better.
