Great burger! Best in the keys…

These were some of the most amazing burgers we’ve ever had done in the keys. Kinda pricey but definitely worth it.

The burger is quite small for $17 but delicious. They charge extra for a very small side salad.

Love the burger i'll give it a 4.7

This place is literally a hidden Gem. I would have literally driven right past it without a second thought if we weren't hungry and looking for a place to eat . I walked in and thought this place is not going to be anything special. I could not have been more wrong. The food was loaded with flavor. Everything we had was great and I mean everything. I got a double burger 1 patty beef and the other patty was honenade chorizo with braised onions and some crazy sauce,fried pork skins and wings. The servers were good to. The young man working the front area was nice and recommended a couple different soda concoctions.. Glad we gave it a chance after pulling into the parking lot.. My son is still talking about his wings and burger. 5 stars all day!!!

We went here years ago and loved it. We raved to our friends about it and insisted we try it this trip too. Unfortunately this visit we just weren't impressed. We went later in the evening (but still well before close) and the staff made it pretty clear they wished we hadn't come in so they could close up early and get home to their other plans. I had to get up multiple times and hunt down the bartender to get any sort of drink refills. Everyone agreed that the food was all just "meh." We were blown away to see how high our bill was despite multiple people splitting entrees, but the bill wasn't itemized so we just paid it and left.

Always a great options. Go on Wednesday for $6 burgers! Best burgers around and nice people.

Best Burger EVER! and smoked sweet potato salad was a delicious break from the norm. Service was personable without the conversation seeming unnatural. Really wish we would’ve found this place sooner!

We came in when there ac was out late at night with a larger group 6. Needless to say the place is simple small and quaint. One bar tender and another guy running register and serving the crowd. We ordered burgers, Mac and cheese with pork belly, pork cracklings and fries. Pretty simple but a little larger order considering it was late they were busy with 6 or 8 other groups but let me tell you this service quick with a smile. It help that the food was great. Best burger I have ever ate. Snuck in a bite or two of my daughter’s Mac and cheese with pork belly it was great. Watched a group leave after the came in realizing no AC but I can tell you they missed out.

This is a fun spot! My godson and I ordered a few things to split and try. Our favorite was the Hellfire burger. The pretzel bun was super soft! Great flavors as well. We highly recommend giving them a try.

Wow, what a delicious burger! When asked the locals, where are some great restaurants to visit, this was one on the list. Unassuming place in a strip mall on the east side of mile marker 88, this is kind of a small place where you order at the counter and they bring food to your table or you can sit at the bar and order. The burger was absolutely amazing. I had the "Nancy Pants" burger with grilled onions and no cheese, and a side of coleslaw. The homemade ketchup was very good. The service is good, family owned and operated. I am very picky about eating burgers in general, unless they are really good. If you want good food and a friendly local vibe, come here for a burger.

Amazing burger and wings. Can’t go wrong here. If you are in the mood for a burger and wings this is the spot. The black cherry soda is also freaking amazing. Can’t get enough of it. See you next time we are in the keys.

First place I ever ordered 2 burgers. Because it was so good.

We went here over the weekend as we were in the mood for burgers. The staff was super nice, you do have to walk up to the register to place your own order. I didn’t have any issues but I can see how it might be an inconvenience if it is super busy. First we split an order of wings which were decent. My husband and I both had fancy Nancy burgers with bistro fries. The bistro fries were great, my favorite thing about our meals! We were however very let down with the burger. Due to all of the “best burger” claims and hype we were very excited to hopefully finallyyyyy have some “wow factor” food in the keys and it was just…meh. Maybe it was just an off night. The burger was juicy I will give them that, but it had zero flavor/ there was no seasoning used at all it tasted like plain ground beef.

I don't eat red meat and I love this place! I had the impossible burger with smoked potato salad, and it was so good! My friend got the Nancy Pants burger that she enjoyed. We started with fried banana peppers and pickles,also delicious. Great stop on our way back home to Key West

I am always looking for a local dive to eat whenever I travel and we were looking for a great burger and beer. This place had the juiciest burger I have ever had. We also had the onion rings, coleslaw and bread pudding and chased it down with some icy cold beer. Great service and fun experience.

It’s ok, my husband and I had wings, onion rings, burger, and truffle fries. There were all ok, but nothing special. The bartender was nice.

Great food. Their selection of beers is my fave. Also the traditional and uniquely designed desserts and milkshakes…for sure go very hungry. Be ready for some juicy burgers and delicious hand cut house cooked fries. Best thing here is the Inside Out Juicy Lucy also their sauces. They’ve mixed them and perfected them. And all taste great.

I will say I never had mango ketchup before but this lady was right the burger was perfect and cooked to perfection, French fries where crispy and again that mango ketchup was amazing 👏 🤩 😋 👌 will definitely be back to try them wings!!!

Loved everything about my experience here. Both waitresses were attentive to everyone who came in. They gave great recommendations and were super nice. I tried this place for the first time, and it will definitely be a place I will come back to. I was recommended by one of the waitresses to try their special Big Mac burger, and it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh. I never write reviews, but my experience here was exceptional.

Everything is home made and perfect

Pretty cool place that was featured by Guy fieri. They make their own sauces. I had the patty melt that I enjoyed and my wife had the Nancy. We tried the fries and onion rings and everything was good.

The price was high for burger and fries…but it was pretty tasty. Not the best or the worst but good!!! Zucchini fries were yummy! Didn’t love the potatoes alas although they say it sells out a lot. So maybe just us.

The best food in the Keys! Had traditional IrishFood today. It did not disappoint! Shepherds Pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers with sauerkraut. All sooooo good!

If you're looking for a seriously legit burger and fries, this is the place! Martin was wicked awesome and took great care of us when we went for lunch. I'm a huge fan of the off-the-beaten path places the tourists don't flock to and love a dive bar feel. This place hit a grand slam home run for me on all fronts. Make sure you order the house made pork rinds and wash your food down with a local brew on tap. Bonus if you go on a Wednesday when it's $5 burger day 😏

Wow! Great burgers, amazing homemade ketchup and craft sodas. You know when you have very impressed teenagers it was a win! The place doesn’t look like much on the outside but it is WELL worth the stop! Enjoy!!

Wow the burgers are amazing. A friend told me about this place so we checked it out. I can see why they win so many awards for best burger! It's a hidden gem in Islamorada!

I am so disappointed to write this review. I ordered our favorite MEAT burgers for a Super Bowl party we were hosting days in advance. I paid for my entire order days in advance and received a confirmation email with an outlined pick up time. Well, come third quarter of the Super Bowl I go to pick up my order and the restaurant is completely closed. I am calling the number on google and on my confirmation email with no answer. I have a house full of hungry guests with no dinner that I confidently ordered from a reliable local place. The next day I call the restaurant and spoke to a woman who was extremely dismissive and simply said that I would be refunded for my order. Well of course I would be refunded, but what about the massive inconvenience of hosting a party and not having the food that I ordered for catering. The woman seemed to not be concerned and brushed me off. I said I wanted to speak with a manager or owner and she said that he would give me a call. Well it has been over a week and I have not received that call. I also email Tom with no reply. So disappointed with MEAT and to be writing this review. We will not be visiting this place anymore.

Dive or dump; you decide! Can’t understand how it has been rated as ‘best burger’. Whole restaurant needed a deep cleaning. Not a place to linger.

I love coming here. But am so very tired of seeing the Guy video on loops as it illuminates the entire space. It kills the atmosphere.

Solid taproom and eatery. Food and drinks were great. Nice that they offer some unique specials that differentiate them from a run of the mill diner.

This is our go to spot for our first night in Islamorada. It was a Wednesday, and we didn’t know it was $5 Burger Night until a man in front of us mentioned it. There were no tables (it is a small restaurant) so we decided to get our burgers to go. I was very disappointed when they said the $5 burgers are for dine in only. So we paid full price, then went outside to wait. After we got back to our condo, I looked at the receipt. They added a 10% surcharge for our to go order! Beware!

This is THE BEST burger I have ever ever had. The service is excellent and incredible burgers. We went for lunch and then had to go back for another dinner. It was the best meal we had in Islamorada. Better than marker 88, ziggys, green turtle, and I am sure many others. You will not be disappointed!!

This location is very small with about a dozen stools at the bar and 7 small table on the side. Once you get in you have to take a menu and read them over before going to the platform in the front and place your order. The waitress then gave me the drinks right away and a large playing card to mark you order number on your table for them to give your food. Which after eating the Juicy Lucy you can see why this place has won so many awards.

Casually driving up US Route 1 on a sightseeing trip today, and stumbled upon this place. Then I find out they were featured on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives! We asked for the Pork Rinds, but they were out. Plan B appetizer was the wings and they were Amazing!! The house-made sauce was unique and delicious. Great for dipping the fries too! Next we shared the Patty Melt burger. Wow… Brisket & Beef blend with sautéed onions and a 1000-island style dressing. The sourdough bread was grilled with cheddar cheese cooked into it! Absolutely incredible flavor. Great selection of brews on tap and in the cooler. Cant wait to get back and (hopefully) get to try the pork rinds. Highly recommended.

How are you well known for something thats never even available? Countless visits and the pork rind story is always different.. will be back in a few weeks? We wont change the menu just for one item? Hasnt been available a while? I havent had them.. ? Burgers are good.. made fresh, fries are NOT HAND CUT… frozen fries was definitely a downfall to a great burger.. service is average, no welcome no hello, very mechanical, did get asked how I wanted the burgers cooked, besides not even a thank you 😪

Wow-I have heard nice things about this place and decided to give it a try-here is how our visit went. Mother, daughter and 9 year old walk into the place-we go to find a seat and we are told to stand at the counter and order. We are shown the specials menu right above us and told to get our menus from the front. Right on, we can do that. Then we proceeded to order-in the meantime, a gentleman takes our beverage order. We proceeded to order food from another server and my daughter is told that the grilled cheese sandwich on the specials menu is no longer available (even though we got there one hour after the place opened). Still no problem she orders something different. Now we are kind of standing there confused and the gentleman that is working (or in reality just visiting with an obvious local) tells us we can pick up our drinks at the bar and take them to our table. The drinks were literally on the rubber mat where you make cocktails so I had to go behind the bar to get straws (while he continued to stand and chat with one of the locals) for the beverages because there was none with the drinks. We proceeded to take our drinks to a table. Eventually, our food was brought to the table. We never saw either of the two servers working again until we had to go to the counter and ask for a to go box. No one ever came to see if our food was good, if we needed refills on drinks or to pick up our food once we finished. I believe this is supposed to be a restaurant… Not a fast food takeout. Myself and daughter… (both locals) will not be returning and will share our experience with our local friends.

I really can’t say enough about this place. I’ve eaten there 6 or 7 times. The service is always great. They are helpful and super down to earth. The homemade sodas are really good. The inside out juicy Lucy is probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The meat is perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. The bread is always soft and fresh. Let’s not forget about the onion rings which are amazing. The beer cheese is also amazing. Pro tip, dip your burger in the beer cheese. You won’t regret it.

So good the juicy Lucy here was so good. Juicy and spiced perfectly. Sauces were also amazing. Fries where good but not as special as the burger. Want to go back and get the wings.

Amazing burgers! I got the lamb burger it was excellent. Husband got the inside out burger. He said it was amazing and our friends got the fancy Nancy burgers and they loved theirs as well. We got the chicken wings to share and they are delicious. For sides we tried the fries, zucchini fries and smoked potato salad and they were all excellent! Thanks MEAT!

This a cool place !! Food great, service great, atmosphere great. Accommodating on food choices. I would have like to have tried their keylime cheesecake in a jar ( ended up with a peanut butter by mistake, ah well). If you want a really good burger, or Wisconsin beer cheese soup, or kraft beers and soft drinks then this is the place. Worth the stop.

What a great burger place. I had a Juicy Lucy burger with cheese, and it was the best tasting burger I have had in a while. In fact, I didn't even add the usual condiments that i usually do to make my burgers taste great because it was good without them. It's not a "fancy" place but has a real laid-back feel, and I enjoyed my lunch there. I hope to stop back before I head home to Iowa.

We stopped here on our way out of town. It was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and the wings looked amazing so we had to try! They did not disappoint!!!! They were pretty busy, lunch rush, and $5 burger on Wednesdays. But, the service was excellent and all run by one amazing waitress/bartender and one cook in the back. We will return on next year's trip to the keys!

I always stop in for food on our annual Keys trip. I miss the chorizo burger. Juicy Lucy was phenomenal, cooked to perfection. This is why it’s voted best burger in Florida.

I had a wonderful dining experience recently at MEAT Eatery And Taproom in Key Largo, Florida. Our supper was made even more enjoyable by our waiter, Sarah, who gave amiable and attentive service. The beverages were without a doubt the highlight of our trip. A beer lover's paradise, the Craft Beer Flight I purchased was delicious. Each craft beer in the flight has a distinctive flavour profile and was carefully chosen from among those produced locally and regionally. It was a fantastic way to experience some of the best local breweries firsthand. My eating companion chose the House-Made Lemonade, which was a delicious, thirst-quenching treat that was precisely balanced and great for a warm Florida day.

The burguer was great but the pulled pork sandwich not at all

When in town, I can always count on a quality meal at Meat. Their burgers, sandwiches, even salads are a step above. Great beer selection on tap and bottles. The wifey likes the wines too. I lucked out by walking in on a Wednesday. It’s a deal called “Whimpy Wednesday.” I got a super tasty burger for $5! With fries and 2 beers was $20 out the door w a nice tip. You gotta try this joint 👍

They have burger specials on Wednesday and happy hour includes food and beer. I had beer, onion rings, and a burger last time. The onion rings were average and the burger patty was on the smaller side for what I expected

Our expectations after reading the reviews and the awards might have affected this review, but I did not expect to need a second dinner elsewhere after going to a burger dive and getting the award winners, upgrades, and sides.

Chill place, friendly service and the burgers are amazing. I'll be a repeat customer for as long as they're around.

Saw this place was on Diners, Dives, and Drives so we HAD to stop and check it out. It did was excellent. Had their popular and award winning burger and it was great. Seems to be more of a local place than a tourist place and we like that. Staff was very cool and friendly. I was wearing a Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here Album shirt and the manager and I talked a lot of music as we sat waiting for our food. A large variety of beers and seltzers are available as well. They are knowledgeable and will talk about the options they carry. The manager even called a brewery to get a question we had answered which. was cool. Will certainly visit again when we go to the Keys.

This was on the list of possible stops in Islamorada and Key Largo. I Love watching Diners, Drive-in’s and Dives. We have had a LOT of seafood which is all amazing. Decided a nice Juicy Lucy sounded like a good option for lunch today. I was not disappointed. The burger, fries, homemade condiments and special sodas were wonderful. We ate at the bar and our server was so nice. I would go here again the next time we are in or go through town. I do want to try the wings and pork-rinds which were featured on the episode about this local hidden spot.

Late luch/early dinner. Friend was looking for a really good hamburger, has been here before. It was my first visit. Really delicious hambruger! Juicy, seerved ith lettus & tomato. I opted for the onion rings, my friend chose the French fries. We shared! Yummy. Condiments were really tasty. Next time I'll get the coleslaw (salad had Kale, not my favorite). Very friendly staff!

We visited after seeing the TripAdvisor reviews. The place was quite small and I liked the decoration. It was also playing on the TV the episode it was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. No table service and you grab the menus from a box as you come in. The food was ok, I found it a little greasy to be honest as my bun of the pulled pork was saturated. The flavours were really nice and the portions werent OTT which was nice. Overall it was OK.

On each vacation, I do Guy DDD research on the area. M.E.A.T Eatery was in the perfect location for our drive from Key West to Miami Beach. Hubby and I both ordered the Fancy Nancy with fries. Cooked to perfection. Many napkins needed. Excellent flavor and a perfect bun. Loved the brand stamp on top. The fries were cooked to perfection. The housemade condiments were some of the best I have tasted. Wish we lived 3,000 miles closer!

We visited MEAT with friends last evening. We had heard good reviews from others in our complex but we were sadly disappointed. Perhaps the regularly cook had the night off. Of the 6 people in our party, no one was pleased with their meal. My inside out juicy lucy burger arrived looking like a meatball on a bun. The promised pimento cheese and bacon were undiscoverable. 2 other friends who had the "famous" shrimp burger reported that they were inedible mush. I asked for a cabernet and recieved a split of textbook only to be shocked at checkout that the split cost $40. A full bottle of the same wine at a wine shop is only $30. This eatery certainly did not live up to expectations especially since it has been a Guy Fieri Triple D location.

Not flashy on the outside, but such an amazing meal and atmosphere! Fresh catch of the day sandwich and Black & Blue burger were phenomenal. Homemade onion rings and fresh cut French fries were delicious. Then we topped it off with the apple bourbon bread...

This is almost as good as the burger. I serve at my restaurant. Lol. These guys are great here. My favorite is the juicy Lucy. Pork rinds are amazing. And great people owning and working at. Thanks for everything you guys do.

So do a bit of traveling and when I can try to hit a Triple D for two reasons. 1st to support small business and this individuals crazy enough to open a restaurant. 2nd to see if it's all that and a bag of chip....

This small restaurant is usually full, but worth the wait. The burgers are delicious, and their homemade ketchup is wonderful. Friendly staff, too!
