The lady behind the counter was super annoyed from the moment we entered the restaurant. She had such a sour face and rude body language that we felt unwelcome. Needless to say we left without staying for the food.

Nice decorations, amazing food and falafel, and kind service. The man and the lady were good hosts and made us feel comfortable. They brought us fresh pita bread and drinks right away!

The pizza is amazing! Great comfortable atmosphere and fantastic service.

Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service! We don't have much choice in Mediterranean food in Salem, so coming here was a treat! The hostess almost seemed to know what we needed before we did, but even without that we'd be back for the food alone. Give it a shot if you're in the mood for Mediterranean food, you won't be disappointed!

We tried this place after looking at it for a while. The lady behind the counter seemed annoyed that we were there. We said we wanted to look a the menu before deciding whether to eat there or not. After asking some questions about their food we decided to order and went and sat at a table. A few minutes later the food showed up in to go boxes. The male chef guy, said we asked for it to go. No one asked us if we were eating in or taking out. Why they assumed that I don't know. After all that, the food was very mediocre, dissapointing to be honest. Suffice to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

The owners are 2 of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and their food is phenomenal enough to have fed 100+ people at our wedding! My wedding guests won’t stop raving about how good and fresh their food was.

Food takes forever it's a take out place/ 6 table restaurant. Yes good food takes time to cook but this isn't good food or service. Took them 45 minutes to cook a pizza with no one else in the restaurant. Pizza was a 6.1 out of 10. Rest of the food 4.3 out of 10.

My wife and I picked up food from Fadi and his team for one of our pre-wedding events. Fadi was extremely accommodating in our discussions on the phone and over text. He created a menu to make sure we had exactly what we needed for our guest count, dietary requirements (vegetarian friendly), and budget. He even provided us with chafers and heating units to ensure the food stayed hot. Our guests absolutely loved all of the food we got from Mediterranean Grill – the falafel, chicken kabobs, sambousak, spicy hummus, and spicy garlic sauce were a few of the highlights! We never had the chance to meet Fadi or taste his food before our event, but it surpassed all our expectations and we’re excited to try it in-person as soon as we can!

Baba ganouj was a great start. The combo 4 kabob platter was enough for 2 of us. Really nice atmosphere and seems like a mom n pop kind of place which i like to support.

As a DoorDash delivery driver, The cook might come out from the back to yell curses at you and make you feel uncomfortable for trying to pick up from the restaurant. Based on how I was treated for just trying to collect an order I will never be trying their food for myself or ordering it to be delivered. I don’t want any other Dashers to have to deal with their verbal abuse if the restaurant happens to be out of something. Good luck for those eating here.

Love this place and the owner so much!! The food is delicious and bountiful and his customer service and attention to detail is just above and beyond what 99% of restaurant owners do for their customers. Keep up the great work!

Casual atmosphere, great food, family run 👌 we picked up dinner and the portions were big and we decided to throw in a desert- it even came with handwritten instructions for heating it up when we were ready, cute!

The place is super nice and cozy Quiet Lebanese songs Clean and not smelly Now let’s talk about the food: The food was simple and so delicious. Okra and rise were perfect. Lamb and chicken shanks were perfect. Lebanese salad was perfect. And fresh from the oven, hand made bread baked just for me. Donuts made of buttery/ fluffy dough. I highly recommend it.

Great beef shawarma with superb flavor. And the size is easy to save half for lunch.

We ordered a catering package for 8 people and were BLOWN away by the generosity of the portions and incredible value we received! The food was delicious and included ALL the sauces, salad, rice, dips, pita and kebabs. It was all packaged so carefully and perfect for reheating. We will definitely be ordering this again for future dinner parties!

Food was amazing, the bread is made fresh and the meat is seasoned in house. The owner was lovely, very kind and generous. This restaurant deserves ten stars if it was possible!

This was an absolutely amazing place! The food is authentic, delicious, good sized portions and priced fair! The owners are so friendly and truly put their heart and soul into the meals. The flavors are spot on! It's the best Banghou (I think they spell it differently)The homemade Bak lava and Pistachio Ice cream were off the charts yummy! I had heard from a co worker about this place and wish I had tried it sooner. It will be the only place we get Mediterranean food from now on😋😋😋 The only suggestion I have is to have music on the make the pretty, artistic decor and ambiance feel more cozy yet😊

I am honestly surprised this place has such good reviews. This has to be the worst Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The beef kofta was burnt and hard, the salad was soggy and old and the rice was super over cooked. For a 20 dollar entree I expected way better quality. The woman at the counter was very nice but aside from that I was not impressed.

This place is amazing! The food was incredible, prices were fair and the service was as good as the food. The owners are so kind and this is the type of place you never forget. I am so happy to support these place as it deserves the highest rating possible. We thought we would give this a try because it was close to home, and I’m glad we did. This is our new and now only Mediterranean we will be eating out.

We were randomly craving Mediterranean food and stumbled upon this restaurant. We got the Mediterranean speciality pizza. Before eating, the chef described to us the 25 spices he used to make it. The pizza did not disappoint. These small shops have been struggling after COVID and I’m glad we found one that’s run by good people with great food.

We came for lunch. After we got our food we heard two employees yelling at each other. It got so loud that we had to leave. Will not be back. Very disappointing since food was good.

Best Mediterranean in Happy Valley! Highly recommend. The babaganoush is a must have. The servings of the entrees are bountiful and always leave you satisfied. The owners are so kind, hard working and they have impeccable customer service. Has become a staple in our rotation for a restaurant!

Stay away. Ordered an hour earlier for a scheduled pickup time. Feel like it was made when I ordered it and it sat and waited for me. So bad. Almost inedible. I will certainly not be back.

I ordered a lamb gyro with only onions and sauce, but they ended up adding an excessive amount of onions, literally a quartered whole onion in the sandwich. It almost seemed like they were annoyed with my order! I'd rate the food itself three stars, but the service was disappointing enough to deserve a negative rating.

Low key store front near other restaurants, banks, and shops. I get the impression it is a standard Mediterranean food place but I was proven wrong. The food is outstanding and the portions are large. No plate was eaten completely based on the amount of food. Either come famished or plan to share. I would give more stars if possible.

We are native Oregonians and moved to Texas. The owner honored a very unique request to package ingredients for the lamb shawarma separately so our family could pack it safely in their suitcases and bring it with them on their flight to visit us! It traveled amazingly well and was just as delicious as we remember when we get to go in person. Fabulous service and food. Thank you!

The owner started yelling at us the moment we entered the store. They didn’t have enough food but were yelling at the us, the customer. Crazy!

Me and my other half love coming here, we just wish we were closer and could come more often! The food is delicious and the owners are super warm and welcoming. I’m a falafel fiend and it’s the best around! They have a great desert selection as well! My partner said that the lamb is next level (which isn’t something he throws around easily). If you’re vegan (or not!) this is a spot you should check out!

This was an Ubereats order and I had accidentally given this restaurant 5 stars. Ubereats will not allow me to redact a review. However, when I tried their lentil soup, it was terribly watery and undercooked. There was zero spices. I think the cook forgot to make soup that day and just threw frozen veggies into some water. The baklava was also a disappointment. The chicken swarma was just ok. Very disappointing.

Ordered via a delivery service. The portions were massive and the food was delicious. Ended up being two portions per meal. Definitely a place worth visiting again.

Everything homemade, authentic, and delicious! Fadi told us all about how he faithfully reproduces his grandmother's cooking and he clearly takes pride in serving excellent food. Can't wait to return!

OMG, why wasn’t there a line out the door?! Between the four of us, we had many different items and we were all so happy and full! Food was delicious and plentiful. The spices in everything were simply perfection. The baba ganush (sp?) was one of my favorites. I had the shrimp kabobs (I am pescatarian, so I did t try any of the meats, but my family raved!) and they were delicious! The accompanying rice and salad could have been their own entree, so much good flavor! The homemade pistachio ice cream was deliciously unique and the Bach lava was light, flavorful and not too sweet. I should also mention that we were there on a Monday evening about 6:45. No one was there (mind blown) and Grandma (the chef’s nickname) told us all about the menu and had personality plus. We will definitely go back! Highly recommend this little gem!

The owners here were very friendly and inviting. We enjoyed the hummus appetizer. The portions of the meals were very large. The pictures don't do it justice and we could have shared some of the meals. Overall a nice experience.

My neice and I frequent this restruant often. The food is fresh, delicious, and authentic. The staff are friendly and very nice. At our last visit, the owner gave us each a peice of the most flaky and delicious baklava! You have to add this restaurant to your bucket list!

Just got back from dinner there and couldn't wait to write this review! The owner/chef was amazing. We learned so much about mediterranean food and ingredients, as well as enjoyed the delicious food itself. Super fresh, complex flavors, and authentic. Also, don't forget to get dessert while you're there -- the pistachio ice cream is incredible!

Great food; I always stick to the authentic Mediterranean dishes and have never been disappointed. MASSIVE portions; entree's can easily be shared. Owner is super friendly. To counter balance the reviewer who said they were yelled at for a to-go order, I offer the following experience: I ordered online for pick-up; they just had a rush and forgot to start our order, so it wasn't ready (or even started) when I arrived. It wasn't a big deal, I wasn't in a rush and I didn't get salty with the owner. No one yelled at me and in fact, the owner was profusely apologetic and kept offering me free donuts. I declined the donuts, so instead she gave me free baklava (which was delicious!). Now I'll have to throw baklava on to all my orders. Moral of the story: you catch more flies with honey.

The man working today (2/15) needs anger management. Yelling at customers isn’t cool especially when they were only there to pick up an order that SHOULD have already been ready and they were just standing there patiently waiting. Wash your chef hat DUDE! Zero stars.

We came to Mediterranean Grill with high expectations looking at all the good reviews. Food was average at most, lamb tasted okay but it was quite hard, potatoes were dry and salty. Only thing we liked was the salad and maybe chicken. We ordered pizza and donuts as well. Pizza was literally soggy and it was for some reason served on paper plates. Donuts were dry and old. On top of that the lady who served us was super rude. Definitely not going back.

We had a funeral lunch at this restaurant and all 35 people were VERY happy with the food, service, location. We highly recommend Mediterranean grill! Can't say enough great things about this restaurant!

First time visiting and we will definitely be back! The lamb skewer was perfect. The baba ganoush has a very delicious smokey flavor. Falafel was also good. Atmosphere is great and owners are very kind. Good portions too! We definitely recommend visiting!

Tender lamb, fluffy delightful pita, excellently seasoned rice and potatoes, the tzatziki is the best I've had by far, completed with a pistachio ice cream! (Jk lots of left overs)

Wonderful kebabs, grape leaves, falafel, everything!!!

I had to take 1 star off because the tabouli was served without any lemon. This is the only time have had tabouli that didnt have lemon in it, and it was quite bland The hummus to go is served cold, but it still was very good and comes with two hot pitas. You can taste the freshly cut garlic in it, a flavor that only lasts so long and usually makes or breaks a hummus plate for me and don't always see it even at some of the finer places.

So good!!! Generous portions and amazing service from the couple that runs this place! Even brought out lamb bits for my pup. Try the pistachio ice cream and Arabic coffee! Don’t miss the donuts on the weekends. It’s our favorite place in Happy Valley!! Biggest, lightest falafel I’ve ever eaten.🤩

This was not just one of the best Mediterranean meals I've had, it was also an incredible experience. The owner is outstanding friendly and helpful. The garlic sauce is made from magic. The falafel was nothing like I've ever had (crispy, light, not over fried, and tasty). Be prepared TO EAT. I couldn't recommend Mediterranean Grill more.

OMG BEST Food ever... and try the pistachio ice cream made fresh homemade with medditeranian spices its unbelievable, deliciousness. This place is incredible. Everythingvfresh and homemade. Mmmm love this place. I know they imports alot of ingredients from Lebanon. This is Not frozen packaged food. I STRONGLY reccomend them. Portions are very generous. We are top fan customers we drive all the way from Vancouver.

Not even close to any Arabic food. Absolutely no flavor. I’ve had better falafel from a box! Bread was not good pickles were not good. Taboulah was not good. Tahini sauce was disgusting. Pickles were not even Mediterranean pickles. It’s good for people that don’t like anything with flavor.

The most tender, succulent delectable chicken I have ever tasted! And wonderful, original flavors throughout the various dishes. They make donuts on the weekends too 😀

This place is a little gem of a restaurant. Stopped in for lunch after having driven by numerous times. Food is fantastic. It's delicious, fresh and the owner is very friendly. This will be a regular in my rotation from now on.

The food was good but not great. And it was expensive. The Dalmas was the best part but the baba ganoush was not that good. Pita was also good $17 for pita with baba and Dalmas was too expensive but then everything is going up.

The owner is very friendly and will help guide you through the menu. The food is amazing! From the appetizers to the entrees to the deserts, everything we had was fantastic. We went back twice in two days because it was so terrific.

Excellanta "'Baker' & Cook" with pleasant diningroom!!!!!!! Boiled BITTER coffee that modernday Thin Half & Half could not Dent the coffee and thereafter a lil sugar 🥷🧛🧟🦉🧟🧛🥷....... Food was Exelanta and not too spendy at around $12.50 + tip but Refills for a Song or Dance or....... Thiz iz close to my Doctor in ol old Happy Valley and my doc could see me regularly regular now that this joint opens at 9a.m. for COFFEE & Dounuttz too then breaking your fast iz at 11a.m. and preorder then 🚬

Mediterranean Grill is our go-to for delicious authentic food. We have been dining for over 10 yrs and find this spot to be the best in food, and always enjoy our humorous conversations with Fady. And bonus... the donuts and incredible!

The worst Mediteranean food I’ve ever had EVER. Added a star because the lady was helpful and kind. Shocked by the positive reviews. If this was closer to Portland it would not have higher than a 2.5. It also trying to be a donut shop should’ve been my first clue. We eat middle eastern food regularly because my father is Lebanese. I hate to leave this review because I want more Mediterranean restaurants in happy valley but this is not it. My kids wouldn’t even finish the rice. We HATE wasting food and had to toss it. We live 3mins away and will NEVER return.

Absolutely amazing experience! The chef is awesome! The food was incredible. The most authentic food I have had in 20 years! The portions are huge. We ate dinner and we have enough food for my lunch tomorrow and my lady has enough to eat for two days. They also make authentic Dunkin Donuts as the chef is a graduate of the Dunkin Donut Institute and they are made fresh every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is soooo worth the trip. They are .5 miles from my place and it is by far my fav place to eat. Wow is all I can say.

The food is great. If you get a Sandwich you will be taking some home or extremely full. Try and save room for the pistachio ice cream. There is a spice on top that makes it so delicious.

My daughter brought home a huge gyro, great portion size, enough for 2! However the meat was gross, it tasted like "chili" according to my daughter so I tried a bite and realized it was not meat at all but a vegetarian substitute. So I'm giving 3 stars because I'm not sure if this was a mistake.

What a great meal and value! The portions are incredibly generous. At first I thought they maybe doubled our order, but we soon figured out that was what we ordered! Delicious shawarma and falafel — and if you like spice, make sure to grab the jalapeño hummus! We are definitely new fans of the Mediterranean Grill!

The gyro and schwarma sandwiches are unreal.. over a foot long and well over a pound... fresh ingredients.. so good, friendly owner who also fresh bakes the doughnuts..weird combo, but a really nice surprise... such a good value for the money..... highly recommend.
