Green curry vegetables were lacking and not cooked. Squid was rubbery and was not able to chew it. Was like chewing on a piece of fishy rubber. Won't be returning.

Their chicken pad Thai taste fishy. 🤢🤮 It’s not suppose to taste fishy. It tastes like either cross contamination or they did a heavy pour of anchovy sauce where the fishy taste is overpowering. I get chicken pad Thai at various restaurants & never had any issues until I tried this one. Even my boyfriend couldn’t eat it. Their spring rolls were decent, though.

Way over expectations. Ordered green curry, pad Thai and sauté chicken. Everything was excellent. Meat was so tender. Lots of veggies in the curry. Pad Thai was well balanced with sourness and sweetness(many places make pad Thai way too sweet). Will definitely want to visit again and try other items on the menu. ❤️👍

Five families visited this restaurant on the way back from Denali to Anchorage. To our surprise, it was fantastic experience. Food was fresh and authentic, service was very professional and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend it!

My boyfriend Ryan and I occasionally stop by for their pho. The atmosphere is a nice getaway. We always have a kind server. The pho makes me feel happy and full.

They have the best Mpande rice I’ve ever had, and of course I love spicy

The fried rice was really strange. It was more like stir fry over rice, but still good. Everything else was delicious.

Ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was very fishy. Either they don't clean their stuff very well or just don't care. Maybe that's a normal thing at some Thai restaurants but at Pataya you order chicken pad Thai and it doesn't taste the slightest bit like fish. I couldn't finish this meal. I like fish but when I order something with fish. Not fishy chicken.

Panang Curry: flavor of sauce good. Had what I can only imagine is canned chicken inside, rubbery and even one bite that tasted fishy. No vegetables in the curry, and it's $18?! Sadly even the water (or maybe the ice) tasted like it came from somewhere moldy. Service was adequate. Ambience as expected for Thai in Wasilla. Won't be back. Low quality ingredients and questionable water.

It’s the first time I’ve eaten at this place, and I have to say I was really pleased with it. The taste was great. The portion was plentiful, and the price is what dinners are going for these days. I’ll definitely go there again!

Great fried rice, spring rolls, and Thai tea. Unfortunately, not the best pad Thai or summer rolls I’ve ever had.

I had the Mekong chicken and its so good thank you staff of Mekong for another wonderful meal. The entire family loves going to Mekong.

We sat and waited for the waitress to acknowledge us. She came out to the other patrons but never came by our table. Mind you, there was us and 2 other tables. Not busy at all. When she finally came, she didn't talk to us, but she was talkative to the 2 more tables that showed up. I ordered Drunken Noodles, which should be spicy and flavorful. It was very bland, no flavor, no spice. Very disappointing! My daughter ordered Pad Thai, had some flavor to it, not spicy at all, either.

Always consistent and good. They new young man that is serving is very polite and helpful. Excellent service and food. Chicken sate and peanut sauce is the best ever and not what you’re expecting!

Consistently good food, and service

The food is delicious. I just got back from Thailand and missed the food and thought I would try this place. The coconut soup with chicken is fantastic, I love all the flavors. I also got mango sticky rice which was delicious and a Thai tea. Would definitely come back and try more.

I’ve been searching for a good bowl of pho in Wasilla and this place had it! The broth was rich and flavorful. The price was very fair for the portion. Overall, I highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Good food and clean atmosphere but the service has gone way down hill in the last few months. The last 3 times we came It’s been 40-45 minutes for Pho soup. People in the back seem to feed food to the door dash drivers first then customers second. I’ve seen the same driver twice In the 45 minutes I’ve currently been waiting. Like I said it’s good but you better not be In a rush at all

I was very pleased by the service I received at MeKong Thai Cuisine! I drove to Wasilla late evening and was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this restaurant! Our waitress did an excellent job making sure we were taken care of and the chef’s were fast at getting our order out. Would highly recommend this restaurant for all your Thai cravings!

This place is very under rated. The pho was super delicious. They put a lot of meat in it. And the beef panang was delicious too, rice was cooked to perfection. Most definitely will be coming back again.

I'm rounding up my 4.5 rating. Also I approached this restaurant with the mindset of wanting Pho Food: Pros: for Alaska the Pho is fresh, hot, delicious 4.5/5 (the noodles were slightly off, not sure how else to explain). The service was great, everyone who helped us was super attentive, friendly, great at delivering alternative options if needed. 5/5 Specifically Tina helped us out expediently even though WE weren't ready for her in the beggining. Kind, efficient, attentive... couldn't ask for more 5/5 Cons: the Fresh spring rolls wrapping, while fresh wasn't to my preference in texture . 4/5

Super tasty food with lot of vegetarian options

Today my Best friend and I visited here for Lunch for the first time and Was Not disappointed! He got the Garlic Chicken and I got the Panang Curry! Both were super delicious and flavorful! Cant wait to visit again! Taikuu!

The Pho' was great and the portion was enough for 2days

I finally have found my Thai spot here in Alaska! Omg the place is a must try. We went here on a whim one day to fine in and started out with the fresh spring rolls which have tiny shrimp, chicken, and veggies. So fresh and the sauce on the side turned it up a notch. For the main course my husband had the Thai Basil w/ chicken which he enjoyed. I decided to try the Tom Yum Koong w/ Rice and shrimp, the flavors within the soup were punching me left & right with every bite. It was like a kid eating cake! To wash it down I had the delectable thai tea and it’s probably the best tea I’ve had in awhile. For dessert, I had the infamous Mango Sticky Rice. Y’all get into it, it was sooo good I went back for it 3 days in a row. With that being said, we had take out from the restaurant. This time I tried the pad thai w/ chicken level 5 of level 10 spice. Prepare for a heat filled meal! Thank goodness I had that delicious thai tea to chase the spice away. I’ll go a bit lower next time. My husband had the Thai Chrispy Wings and let’s just say, those went quick. They were seasoned to perfection w/ sweet chili sauce on the side. This restaurant is definitely a winner and I’ll be going regularly. Give them a try if you live this way or just visiting!

Vegetarian Pho was great, chicken Pho not so much, Garlic chicken was excellent!

Chose this restaurant for a dinner option while traveling through the area on motorcycle. Ate the fried spring rolls, Mekong Chicken, and mango dessert. The food was OUTSTANDING! Fresh ingredients, cooked well, amazing flavors and just the right amount of heat! The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. The young woman who provided service was friendly, cheerful and took care of us very well! If I lived in the area, this would be a regular choice for me!! If I ever ride through again, I will be back.

I haven't had much Thai food before but this place made me really enjoy it and love some of the dishes I'd never heard of but of I will be back for sure.

Excellent tasting vegetarian food!

My favorite food is Thai. I actually travel around the country to try Thai food. I 100% recommended Pok Pok in Portland Oregan. I go there just for dinner. Mekong in Wasilla, I’ll never waste my money a third time. I ordered here a few years ago. Was not impressed. Ordered again tonight. Angry I spent money on this food again. It has gotten worse! Fresh spring rolls, a Thai staple, all lettuce and no peanuts in store bought sauce. Papaya salad had no heat, no flavor and again not a single peanut! The Pad Thai, noodles were over cooked moosh, store bought flavor and again not a single peanut! Coconut soup should be thick and rich. It was watery and lacked flavor. Mostly liquid. Very little mushrooms, onion, bamboo etc! Worst I’ve ever eaten! I ordered a curry also but since the sticky rice is horribly overcooked I haven’t tried it yet. Be warned, you may like this food but if you ever eat it at an actual quality Thai restaurant you will be mad you ever wasted your money. I certainly am! Negative 5 stars!!!!

The food was horrendous. It was dry and I was very sick for 2 days.

My wife and I recently moved to the area and are very happy to have found a good Thai restaurant. Although Massaman curry is missing from the menu, we still found some very enjoyable dishes; Red curry and Panang curry.

This is my go-to Thai place. I can never decide between the pad thai and the pho, so I always bring my hubby so no one judges me!! I highly recommend this joint

The waitress was awesome!! She was nice and attentive. But the food was a different story. The Pad Thai was NOT GOOD!! It tasted like sour vinegar something. And the shrimp scampi wasn't shrimp scampi. It tasted like shrimp with peanut butter slapped on top. The fresh spring rolls were on point tho. I really liked those. But I wouldn't recommend to eat there unless you are only there for the waitress or there spring rolls.

I go to Mekong Thai Cuisine every. single. weekend with my four year twins. Besides the food being phenomenal, the service is above & beyond. They don't seem irritated by the presence of children, as I've encountered at other establishments. They make us feel that our business is appreciated and have pretty much memorized our order by now. Everything is FRESH and HOT. Best thai restaurant that I've personally been to. Not just the valley but the state.

Best Thai food in the Matsu Valley. We eat out every month or so, and it's usually at Mekong Thai. Delicious pad thai, curries, pho, and fresh spring rolls, and almost everything is gluten free!

We ordered what we were hoping would be genuine Thai food. Sadly this was not the case. The food was horrid. The chicken in the fried rice was frozen. It was like chewing on a car tire. The rice was overcooked, and mushy. The seafood dish was severely overpriced for the lack of food in the dish. I could go on, but I'm sure you understand enough about this place through my experience.

We love Mekong! One of our favorite places to eat in the valley. I especially love the red curry and the Tom kha! The kids love the fried rice and my whole family loves fresh rolls!!

Best Thai I've had. Steak is thick sliced and always cooked to perfection, and their house made sauces are super flavorful.

Great crispy spring rolls. Nice to taste the cilantro in the fresh spring rolls. Wonderful to find some more interesting ingredients in my red curry than the Alaskan Thai Staples - carrots, onions & bell peppers:) Some great flavor notes here and I look forward to trying other dishes in the future. Count on a fairly long wait for food - 45 min in my case which was ok since I ordered takeout and was warned ahead. Not sure if this is a temporary Covid related thing or just standard procedure.

Solid Thai option in the valley! Have dined in a handful of times and got takeout multiple times. Dined in this weekend and very much enjoyed the meal. We ordered fresh tofu spring rolls and the vegetarian curry with added tofu. I have had many, many spring rolls in my lifetime so I have come to have spring roll standards lol. The ones here are quite good. I really like the sauce-- it is vinegary and a little sweet with a bit of spice (exactly how I prefer my sauce, I'm less of a fan of the sauces that are basically peanut butter). The rice paper wrap is perfect consistency too--not too chewy or hard, but just right. The tofu they put in there was fried tofu cubes--they put a generous amount in. Normally the spring rolls come with chicken and shrimp. There is no tofu option on the menu but they gladly granted the request to do it meatless. The veggies in the spring roll are the only thing that is a 3/5 to me. It is lettuce strips and maybe carrot shreds if I remember correctly. I like to have some more herbs in there, like mint or thai basil to add more flavor :) That being said, the base spring roll has chicken AND shrimp which not all places include that so I bet that makes up for the underwhelming veggies for omnivores. Overall though, a very solid spring roll 4/5. The vegetarian curry doesn't appear to come with tofu on the menu but they will definitely add it. They have very good curry here. My favorite part is the variety of vegetables--I would say they have the best variety of veggies in the valley as far as thai curries go. Mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers, and zucchini are what I remember. The flavor of the curry is very good too, has a little kick to it but not too spicy at all for those that don't tolerate spice. They do fried tofu in there too which is very tasty. I've tried some others things on the menu too and have enjoyed everything. Definitely worth checking out.

We accidentally ordered the fresh spring rolls instead of the crispy spring rolls, and they were amazing. I usually don’t like them, but these were fresh and tasty and he as substance to them. The paired sauce was tangy and spot on. The Curry’s were delicious, and the service friendly and the right balance of attentive without being annoying.

We got takeout twice in a week as we passed through Wasilla: the emerald curry once and the vegetarian curry twice. The vegetarian curry was great with a good-sized portion, enough level of spice for flavor but not too much, and a good variety of fresh vegetables. The emerald curry was unexpectedly very spicy, though, and the portion was just a bit too small.

Beautifully prepared and flavorful dishes in an exceptionally clean and pleasant environment. Waitress is knowledgeable and able to make good suggestions. Menu is varied and well presented.
