I visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary. The menu is pretty sizable compared to other tapas restaurants I have visited. The food was flavorful, and the portions were larger than in other places I have been. The restaurant's service was very attentive, and the waitress provided excellent recommendations for both food and drinks. The drinks were hit-and-miss for me. The Paloma, which I get at other restaurants, was excellent, while the sangria was just ok. Overall, we had a great experience and we plan to go back again.

Our server Lupe did an amazing job making us feel comfortable and helping us celebrate a birthday. We are long friends who had not seen each other since before Covid and she did a perfect job of making sure we were comfortable and had all the time in the world to catch up. Thank you for your hospitality! Food was excellent as always.

We were a group of 5. We ordered 5 items off the menu. The food was amazing, a bit on the pricey side, but not too bad. Our server, Isa, was an amazing person. His recommendations were phenomenal, and he went out of his way to give us information we needed! I highly appreciate him, and Meson Sabika never disappoints!

We celebrated my mom's 89th birthday here. It was a big treat. Wonderful atmosphere, great fun food, excellent wine with the perfect waitress. We learned so much about Spanish tapas.

Enjoyed dining in garden late afternoon. Since my guest was delayed Matthew was amazing in checking in when I hung out at the bar before they had it staffed for the night. Had my favorite date dish. Tried skirt steak with veggies and potatoes. My friend had the specialty ham. Bread is so fresh. Cyber Brut fun. Martini perfect. Dessert is profiterole always great. No better place to enjoy any time especially for a birthday. Can't wait to return.

We have been dining at Meson Sabika since they first opened. It’s our family’s favorite restaurant. Yesterday we celebrated our 47th anniversary. We had the best server and his name was Sergio. Sergio was so kind, thoughtful and so attentive to our needs. I left my sweater on the back of my chair and he ran to the parking lot with it. I recommend this restaurant!!!

We went for a fixed menu family event. The food choices were vegetarian pasta or chicken breast. The pasta got good reviews. The chicken was abundant but needed more cream. The vegetables were also not hot. The appetizers were the best and probably the only reason I’d go back there. The tapas were fantastic. The pear almond cake was to die for. If I ate carbs I’d order that for a meal. So moist!!! The atmosphere was perfect. Beautiful gardens. Great service.

I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and santoyo. The tart was great ! My husband ordered 2 portions of the buñuelos (ham croquettes) and solomillo plus piquillos. Wow all was great !

Always good food. As someone who has lactose intolerance, I wish there were more food choices that did not contain milk and milk products.

Food, menu, decor are excellent. Server was pleasant, helpful when ordering, then didn’t come around much. The way the food is served is terrible. Plates are delivered from kitchen when allegedly they are ready, but it is chaotic. I was finished with my lunch THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE the couple i was with got their chicken sandwiches delivered. And, they only got theirs when we managed to get the server’s attention asking where’ their lunch? This is not an isolated instance. Four of us couples had dinner at Meson Sabika last summer and half the table were done eating before the other half even got their food. My wife refuses to come back to this restaurant because of the chaotic serving. I’ve been to a couple other tapas restaurants and have had much better service. Anyway I can highly recommend the food and atmosphere (beautiful dining rooms inside and attractive outdoor dining), but lBuyer Beware” of the chaotic service.

We had a fairly large group of family. Ended up eating inside because it was a cool evening. VERY busy at 6 on a Friday evening. Got to our table in 5 minutes of arrival. Took a while to take drink order. I think we had a newer waiter. Probably too many tables to wait on. Food was excellent as usual! Favorite restaurant of the family. We will be back.

The food, as always, was amazing. We had our usual dates, potato salad, and cheeses, but tried some new dishes as well. (Brussels sprouts, empanada, and stuffed mushrooms.😋) Everything was delicious! Kudos to Sergio for his outstanding service!

We had amazing food and drinks! The atmosphere was so cool too. Our server wasn’t the greatest though. Took almost 10 minutes before coming to our table. Our water kept being empty and she was not coming around often to fill it. She almost would seem annoyed when we asked for something. Maybe she was just busy or new. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Food adequate. People come here for the ambiance though. Not much dining ambiance to be had in Naperville so this place fills a niche. I think their food is adequate but they wouldnt survive as a restaurant at these prices without their ambiance.

The staff was very welcoming from the beginning. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, confirming then managing our choices and the pace we received them. Everything was very good from start to finish. We especially loved the scallops. To top off our experience, we were treated to two glasses of champagne to toast our anniversary. A wonderful evening.

Worst ever service ! Wouldn’t let me bring in a birthday cake and put our party of 14 right by the front door where anyone would go in and out. Forced us to bring our cake home! They could’ve informed me when the host called me earlier to confirm my reservation. Asked for a more private table, the person in charge/ manager kept interrupting and cutting me off and the server were rolling her eyes while serving our drinks. We asked for glasses for our Sangria, I don’t remember how many we requested and it wasn’t enough for our party but she made sure that she corrected us by telling us “ you’ve have asked for 7”The first time in my life I feel discriminated against because we didn’t look rich enough for them and the color of our skin was different. We ended up leaving and went to another restaurant. For our party we could have easily spent over $2000. I will share this experience with my friends and family and their friends and families

Every thing was good. We frequently go there. Our only complaint is that it’s slightly overpriced. But, by making smart choices, you can have a good meal of entrees and apitizers at a moderate cost. Those small orders of tapas can add up. Enjoy.

I know the server had a lot of tables but she never poured us wine nor were we asked if we wanted another bottle until the dessert came Food was good.

Very special place for unique food options. Outside seating is in a gorgeous setting. Inside is nice too. So many food options to try and experience.

We were seated outside on their side patio. It was nice and away from the noise. We a view of two wedding celebrations going on but did not hear any noise coming from either. Very beautiful plantings and a nice feeling of privacy. The vegetable paella was just right and came in the promised 45 minutes so we had time to eat a few tapas and drink refreshing sangria. A lovely experience.

On a nice summer day, the outdoor seating is absolutely wonderful. The food is flavored well and portions sizes are appropriate, particularly knowing that this is a tapas restaurant. The service was stellar.

The food was really good, although it did take a little longer than usual for one of the dishes we ordered to come out. It was something we ordered right away knowing it would take time to make and it still came out late but it was worth the wait. There was also another venue at the time so I can maybe see why the kitchen was a little behind. Would definitely recommend and come back again for the food and drinks.

We had five taps dishes. They were all delicious. The seafood was prepared perfectly and the Brussels sprouts had a lot of great flavors.

No question. This is a beautiful place for a Romantic dinner but unfortunately, not too many options for vegetarians. I wish they can come up with some nice vegetarian dishes.

4 of us had lunch and shared everything which were all very good. I would not order the potato salad again as the garlic overpowered every other flavor in it. Other than that I would order all of our choices again. My favorite was the stuffed mushrooms. We brought a bottle of our own wine and ordered a reasonably priced cava as well. The wines are all Spanish and I know nothing about what I like in Spanish wines but the cava was quite good. We had the NV Segura de Caceras Brut. Jordan, our Server was excellent. The manager came to talk to us about wine so we tried one of the restaurant wines and were glad we did. We will go back.

This place is phenomenal. I need to get better with taking photos re: the exquisite food presentation. This is a small tapas venue where they have hot have and cold choices... paella 🥘 and more. Whether it's date night for two or 13..you will not be disappointed as the service and food are extremely good.

We are frequent fine diners and we arrived and sat outside, it was cloudy and somewhat rainy, and when asked if there was a plan if it rained, the hostess said that they have no plan if you're outside and it rains. Don't expect them to hold tables open inside, but we also asked to sit under the veranda. The outside chairs are NOT comfortable. The waiter was kind, but seemed busy regardless if he had one table or ten . Food was good.

No, I did not officiate a wedding this time. I enjoyed another birthday celebration here. We sat on the terrace, and it was really nice. The food was delicious. The portions were a bit large, but I am trying to be good. Speaking of good, the food is just delicious. I loved the Spanish dishes. I enjoyed the veggie paella. I missed this dish when I visited Spain. Very attentive staff.

We celebrated our anniversary at Meson and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and the service were wonderful, as always. Definitely our favorite restaurant; it’s consistently outstanding.

This is a wonderful place to go for tapas. We enjoyed four tapas plates, two desserts (the almond pear cake is outstanding)and a couple glasses of white wine sangria. We ate outside in a covered area with high overhead fans.

Tapas are my favorite food. In any city we go to, I want to try a tapas restaurant. So I am sad to report that, while the ambience of Mesón Sabika is nice, I cannot eat that food again unless they change their recipes. After four disappointing plates and some sangria that was just okay, we stopped ordering because the flavors and even the textures were just so underwhelming. The sangria I would give a 7/10. It was very watered down and uninteresting. We ordered patatas bravas (always a favorite at any tapas restaurant, and no two places have the same recipe); apparently someone doesn’t understand that patatas *bravas* are meant to be flavorful and spicy. These were neither. 2/10 We ordered the croquetas (always a favorite); the texture of the meat inside was dry and almost grainy; we ate them, but I would never do so again. So sad. 2/10 We ordered an empanada; again, the meat inside was lacking flavor and had a very strange texture. It had some strange garnish resembling cabbage. Not recommended at all. 1/10 We ordered stuffed mushrooms that were sad-looking, overcooked but okay; again, lacking any true flavor or imagination. 3/10 Ambience 10/10: We sat on the patio. The lights were pretty and there was some Spanish music playing somewhere, but we could barely hear it. The tables were spaced a comfortable distance from each other. Service 10/10: The wait staff was amiable and there was a note congratulating us for our anniversary, which is a nice detail. They also served us each a glass of Prosecco at the end, which was thoughtful and why I am not taking off a star in this section for having had to wait quite a while for our table, despite having a reservation. In summary, the Prosecco was the one thing we tasted that we could have identified in a blind taste test. Overall, I really wanted to like this place and was certain I would; but the food is not good; we were 0 for 5, including the sangria. In all fairness, we did not try everything on the menu, but I just can’t bring myself to repeat this experience. I have never once been 0 for 5 at any restaurant, much less a tapas place; I really am shocked and dismayed to have disliked it so much.

Our dinner experience was really amazing! We were there celebrating a birthday and everything was perfect. First of all, the service was fantastic! Our waiter, Ryan, was THE BEST waiter we have had at any restaurant in a very long time!! I cannot express how his professionalism and courtesy added to a great evening. He is our favorite! The food was also amazingly good and everything was delicious! Thank you, Ryan, for making the birthday special!

Despite a full restaurant and a full patio with a wedding in the special event area, the food, service and ambience were five star. This can only happen when the management has a fully staffed highly trained kitchen and a dedicated service group.

What a wonderful surprise to know such a great venue was just an hour away! The grounds and beautiful buildings that make up Mesa Sabika show why it is a major wedding and special occasion venue as well as a wonderful lunch or dinner choice. We so enjoyed our afternoon - the food, the service and the ambience that one member of our party decided to arrange to reserve a date for a special anniversary in five months.

We were in town to visit family and beforehand enjoyed a dinner for two at a restaurant that wasn't a chain. We enjoyed the friendly service and the grounds were beautiful. The food was very good, but maybe not as outstanding as it could have been in a smaller venue. It was a bit loud indoors. It was a fun night overall, and a good value for good food.

The food at Meson is always so good - it's one of my favorite places to eat. However, if you're celebrating something special, don't expect any sort of acknowledgment. We made a reservation for a dual birthday and noted the birthday on our reservation, and they didn't even wish us happy birthdays - a bit of a letdown.

We love eating Meson Sabika's tapas. They have a big variety of tapas to choice from. We started with a light cold tapa of Carne Asada --that is shrimp with a trio of sauces. We continued with a hot tapa called Pincho de Buey--it was outstanding.

I go to Mesón every chance I get because the food is delicious and the service is top notch. I have been lucky enough to have Oscar as my server often. He does an amazing job! He knows every item on the menu and makes great recommendations. I have yet to have anything less than a great experience at Mesón Sabika!
