Fantastic experience. Food was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful. Great selection of wines. The fella that served it was knowledgeable. We were a party of four. Had starters to dessert. Rachel was fantastic made the the experience a lot of fun.

Delicious food served in a very standard American ambiance. My old fashioned was great and the wagyu steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. They have a speakeasy that serves fancy cocktails. Just got to find where it is!

Excellent fine dining in Fargo. Food is fantastic. Last time I got the salmon and my husband got the halibut, both very good. I've had excellent steak here as well. Drinks are wonderful. We come here once every few months and the servers recognize us, which is always very nice. Last time I felt like they were paying us extra attention because we are regulars, which always feels nice, but they might just be that attentive to all their customers as well. Highly recommend.

Though I am not a foodie by any means, I have been all over the world and have had the privilege and luxury of eating at a Michelin Starred restaurant more then once. With that being said I believe the chef and his team here at Mezzaluna have in my humble opinion food comparable with that level of cuisine which is a rare thing to find in this country indeed, never mind downtown Fargo. If you’re looking for fine dining and the elevated experience that comes with it there really is no other restaurant here that is comparable. The head chef’s talent lies in his precise mixture of both classic and new age fair that borrows from staples collected from every corner of America’s varied regional cuisines. The flavors themselves are so delicately influenced by French cooking that even my untrained palette can appreciate them without getting lost. As can often be the case with some of the more recent convoluted flavor profiles awash in today’s fine dining establishments. Showing that simplicity and fresh ingredient’s can still elevate your dishes beyond just what is expected of the run in the mill almost token “fine dining” establishments you find in almost every town across the country or even in the bastions of semi-guided or starred restaurants that have all but excused themselves from cooking altogether. The chefs at Mezzaluna manage to achieve this without turning bacon into foam and service into an almost Cirque Du Soleil esq. flaming truffle aioli extravaganza that in the end exists merely to cover up the flaws of modern innovation for innovations sake cooking. Where sterile bags have replaced the range and nearly everything has been converted to some kind of ill begotten fondant. Their ability to bring together competing textures (shrimp and grits anyone) and an almost playful recognition of the average Americans more basic pallet to the small additions of international savory classics united under an alternative but not over reaching style gives the menu some of its biggest stand outs. In particular the grilled Chicken skewers with a molasses bourbon glaze served with jalapeño cornbread stands equally reminiscent of the barbecue stalwarts of both Bangkok and Houston from which it takes inspiration, and the Japanese wagyu presented in a traditional Denver zabuton cut with pommes fondant ringed in an understated black garlic purée that is somehow the boldest stand out in a dish packed with rustic flavor were my personal favorites on the new menu. There are even some dishes that are an experience unto themselves. The beef Rigotoncini, paired with a simple stout red wine based balsamic sauce and tossed with melted Asiago cheese in particular left not only a completely clean plate but a feeling of true wholesomeness in it experience. It goes without saying that an establishment of this type strives for perfection in everything it does and without each piece working together the machine would break down. From the wait staff who have every item and potential pairing from the menu memorized, to bartenders who remember your preferred libation from your first visit months prior, or the attentive restaurant managers who keep it all running, the front of the house at Mez is no exception. Translating the same level of precision the Chef has brought to his food to the guests experience. Giving this restaurant not just the ingredients needed to make an establishment of a certain guides calibre but also those rarest of spices searched for everywhere by the wealthy and working class alike in Singaporean street food back alleys to uptown manhattan 500 dollar a plate eateries. That which in my opinion is worth much more than some stuffy French travel books “praises”. Two words brought together into a setting and feeling that in any arena you could spend your life searching for and it would not be wasted… Comfort and Soul. I don’t usually write reviews but people who dedicate so much of their lives and time to give strangers something more meaningful then just a plate of food should be recognized and Mezzaluna does just that.

Best meal in Fargo. Such a unique and fun experience. Great service, fantastic food and fabulous ambiance! A gem for sure! I ate tapas style-ordered the scallops appetizer-amazing; the chicken skewers-fantastic and the elite salad-sassy and spicy.

Mezzaluna is a heavy hitter! My sister and mom were in town and I was able to get back to mezz. What an excellent experience from the whole staff. I came ready to eat. We ordered nearly half the menu and were delighted by all the offerings. The kitchen is strong. The chili crisp fries were whimsical and delicious. The vegan dessert was nice and everything was well plated. The service was just terrific! Smooth and professional. A warm dining room with some great recommendations. By far, the best cocktail bar in Fargo. The dining is equally as good - Love this restaurant! Get the truffle fries and an old fashioned!

Our extended family just enjoyed a wonderful meal at Mezzaluna for my sister's birthday. From the youngest (9 years old) to the oldest (69 years old), we all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent (thanks to Brandon) and the drinks were awesome (thanks to Kaylin). We all enjoyed delicious pasta, fresh seafood, duck, steak, smash burgers, and desserts. Very knowledgeable and careful for those with Celiac, as well. 👍🏻

My family and I just had the most wonderful meal and amazing service from Brandon at Mezzaluna! Such a wonderful atmosphere and everyone was raving about the food from the duck, the halibut, pork tenderloin, and scallops to name just a few! The S’mores and Flourless Chocolate Cake were the perfect desserts to end a perfect meal! We also enjoyed from very special drinks from Kaylin! The thing we learned was we shouldn’t just save this wonderful place for a special occasion- we should treat ourselves more often at the best restaurant in Fargo - Moorhead!

Came here for date night and was not dissapointed. Our server was very attentive proactively refilling drinks and replacing used silverware between courses. The shrimp and grits were incredible. Probably a highlight of the meal for me. All of the flavors paired perfectly. I got the smash burger and their patty was great and the burger sauce added a great taste. The truffle fries were great as well with a taste of citrus. My wife got the steak, which she loved, but she couldn't stop talking about the mashed potatoes. We will be back.

The food was excellent here! I especially enjoyed the fries with chili flakes! Had to be the most unique and best french fries I have ever had! I had the cabbage special for my dinner and it was superb! The service is outstanding here. My drink was always full. I would skip the dessert. Opt for coffee and or something safe like ice cream.

Steak had great flavor! Was a bit tough for a medium cooked steak. The mashed potatoes and broccoli was very good. And the free Smores dessert for our anniversary was HEAVENLY!!

We ordered the scallops, salad with beet vinegar, burgers, and seafood pasta special. Everything was amazingggg. The BEST part was the gluten free desserts. We loved the flourless cake and "smores". The service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. My only critique is not offering gluten free buns. :)

Splendid environment. Celebrating an event with friends. The pork sirloin was amazing. I really want to say bad things about this business so I can keep it private to myself and friends. The more people know about this restaurant it won't be special anymore. But always book a reservation ahead of time. And always eat dessert.

Excellent food and service at this cool old downtown building on Roberts Street. We had duck, strip steak and halibut which were all excellent. Crème brûle and salads were also great. Waiter was friendly and helpful.

I visit Fargo once a year for business and each time I make it a point to visit mezzaluna. We have a great food scene in San Diego and I can say Mezzaluna is up there on best restaurants I’ve dined at. Service is top notch and the food is incredible. Mason the bartender is world class. Great food and wonderful service! We love when Nathan is our server because he’s personable, knowledgeable, and great at what he does.

Mezzaluna is not only the best food in Fargo, but the best experience. Taylor has put together a perfect menu and tremendous staff. My family recently relocated to Fargo from the cities and we were really bummed to leave all of the food options behind. Fortunately, we found Mezzaluna fairly immediately based on several suggestions from locals and it has not disappointed. This restaurant isn’t just “good for Fargo”, but holds up anywhere! 10/10 every time!

Everything was excellent!! The Fried Brussel Sprouts and the Flourless Chocolate Cake are a must! They have one of the best burgers in town. The drinks are also fabulous! The staff is courteous and explained menu items. I suggest making a reservation. Definitely check it out for a date night, anniversary, birthday, or even just happy hour!

Predictably top tier food and service in downtown Fargo

Easily the best fine dining in Fargo-Moorhead. Staff is exceptional, food is always great. And the cocktails are perfect. There's a reason we go back here all the time. For the money, it's hands down the best dining experience in town—and consistently top notch.

Amazing staff. The Maitre d was very friendly and professional. You can instantly tell this is an upscale restaurant. My server was one of the best I've had next to Nobu in Dallas. He knew everything about the menu down to the ingredients and where the food was sourced from. I will recommend this as the go-to place in Fargo.

Beautiful space, delicious food, great service. I got a hodge podge of apps and sides, and some of the portions were actually bigger than I expected for a fancy spot! For the burrata appetizer (which was delicious by the way), I expected a few small crostinis, but it came with 2 large pieces of grilled bread. Flavors were on point for everything we ate. Service was great too. When I couldn’t decide in a drink, our server gave me a free margarita sample. I ended up getting a lemon grass ginger mocktail which was divine. Would totally recommend this spot if you want to splurge a little!

Our waiter was amazing. Very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu and great personality. Drinks were all very good, I had the Long, Long Time; definitely recommended! Appetizer we had Scallops, the sauce was so good. I had the salmon; very nice presentation, flavor and portions. Flour less chocolate cake for desert, meant to be shared. Overall, wonderful experience.

We spent hundreds of dollars dining here and it was worth every penny. From the fast and excellent service, to the drinks, to the amazing food, to the end of the meal, everything was impeccable. My partner was a fine dining server for many years and was also throughly impressed with the entire experience. I opened my leftovers box today to finish off my meal, and saw that the server took the time to pour the sauce over my steak so it would stay moist when she boxed it up. Simply incredible. We ordered the buratta, the steak, the duck, and tried each of their desserts. The stationary cocktail was also amazing! All of it was delicious and worth the price.

We had a reservation and they seated us immediately upon arrival. The staff was stellar, very attentive, quick and efficient service. Food was very good. We had the scallop appetizer and duck and salmon entrees. The chocolate flourless cake was awesome too. Full bar, mock tails, good beer and wine selection. Loved the atmosphere!

Great food and the service was spectacular. Everything tasted good, and they were really nice and accommodating for gluten free needs. Would go back! Bathroom was a little far and tricky to get to, but that’s my only negative from the experience, and it’s quite minor and only so much they can do about it.

My wife & I always go here for bigger events like anniversary, Valentine's Day, or any special celebrations. We’ve been coming to Mezzaluna for last 3-4 years and everything to the atmosphere, drinks, food, service; everything is always phenomenal. If you go my wife’s Shrimp Alfredo is always her favorite. I have gotten the Steak Diane & Salmon and both are probably my favorite dishes I’ve had at any restaurant. Highly recommend for any occasion.

The food was wonderful, our service was great, and they accommodated our short notice reservation and were able to get flowers on the table for our anniversary. The steak was phenomenal, the duck was good as well. Don't ignore the reviews to try the soup because it was definitely worth it!

Amazing place with great service and the best food around.

Beautiful downtown location with amazing, unique (delicious) recipes of high quality food. Loved the truffle fries and mahi-mahi; hubs loved his burger royale - everything was simply delicious. Prices are more than your typical restaurant, but worth it when wanting to splurge more on fine dining. The bathroom was out of the restaurant and down the elevator by 1 level, but - it’s also not too far away despite that tiny difference / hiccup. Service was very friendly, quick, drinks were always filled / offered. I would have appreciated more menu items to choose from, however I believe they rotate them occasionally, which is cool. 10/10 recommend to others and would go again 💯

A group of my friends always meet at Mezaluna every Friday evening for a friendly get together. These last two times of getting together with them has been very enjoyable. Both times we had Victor as our waiter. Victor is excellent!! Always very attentive and he even remembered what I drank from the week before. Both times I was there I ordered the Steak Dianne and it was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back. Thank-you!!

Fabulous experience. Amazing staff and the food is so delicious. We have been twice for special occasions and cannot fault it. It’s not an everyday place, it’s expensive. But for a beautiful evening out, I highly recommend. It’s a wonderful atmosphere, relaxing but feels special.

It's a bit expensive but 100% worth it. I have celiac, staff understood what that was ans helped me avoid certain foods and recommended others.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here last night, and we had an excellent dining experience. Set in downtown Fargo, it's a cozy, intimate setting that creates a great atmosphere. Our service was excellent, providing recommendations and descriptions of just about everything at our request, was attentive to our needs, and overall gave us a great experience. We don't really drink alcohol, but the mocktails we ordered were delicious. For those that do drink, there is an extensive variety of wines, whiskey, and cocktails suitable for nearly every preference. We started with Burrata, which was perfect with how light and savory and fresh everything tasted. My wife had Salmon which came with a polenta cake and sweet corn puree and she absolutely loved it. I chose the beef bolognese, and it was fantastic as well. We finished off the dinner with a Panna Cotta for dessert. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and will return for other special occasions/date nights. Would highly recommend it!

The atmosphere is a very welcoming and warm place with a darker and more subtle lighting. I started witha soup of the day which was amazing. The spice to it was present yet not over welcoming and did not subtract from the other flavors at all. It was garnished with small thin tortilla strips, and a small salsa mix in the same manner and cilantro. The consistency of the soup was rich and creamy which mixed well when you added the salsa and tortilla strips. It paired quite well with a blanc.

It’s definitely fine dining. The service is a bit slow, and oh man it’s loud there. Food is 9/10, but atmosphere for me is awful. We had people around us so loud talking and it ruined the experience for us. Otherwise it was as advertised. Food is delicious, chefs there are great at unique dishes that just work somehow.

The overall experience at Mezzaluna was simply outstanding! The staff were all amazing and the food was so good I made yummy noises every time I took a bite. I had a chili rubbed pork tenderloin with cauliflower and a some kind of aioli. It must not be on the menu any more because I wanted to be more specific and couldn't find it online. My friends also had amazing meals. We left very full and very happy.

Amazing food and service. Ordered an old fashioned and glass of resiling - both were terrific. Also got the chili crisp fries and fried feta to start. I have to say that the chili crisp fries were absolutely out of this world and the portion was massive. They were addicting! We both ordered the shrimp fettuccine. My only critique (and reason for 4 stars) is that my shrimp were quite small compared to the ones my boyfriend received with his fettuccine. Will be back again!

Pricey but the food is incredible imo.

Ambiance, service and food were all spot on. Went here for a business dinner and I'm glad we went there even when Fargo was at -30C. Worth the drive in snow and utter cold weather. The vegan chef special was good. The desserts were the highlight for me. Apple crisp and creme brulee were both hitting the right spot at the end too complete a wonderful evening.

This place was insanely good! I've heard rumors for years but people only seem to go on special occasions, go any day of the weak, you will not be disappointed. Our server nick must be telekinetic because the second we had and empty plate or a decision to make, he was there.

OK, first of all, the food and ambience here are usually great. (although it can be a little noisy ). We’ve been here many times. But I have to say, I was a bit disappointed this evening. Met my wife there after work for presumed happy hour cocktails and appetizers, which they’ve had in the past and I had thought was still mentioned on their website (although I’m not certain about that). I was politely told by the waiter that they don’t do a happy hour anymore since Covid. Not sure why Covid has anything to do with that? So we decided to have our two appetizers and three drinks (two of which were simple house, rosé, and a glass of sangria). Total cost with tip was just over $90. Way too expensive for something as simple as cocktails and appetizers for two.

Wonderful atmosphere. The standard fare is excellent and specials are always delightful. They’ve also greatly impressed me with how they accommodate for food allergies.

Stopped in spontaneously for a few drinks last night and service was exceptional. (The sazerac was fantastic!) Waters would be topped off before it would even cross my mind to think of a refill. Thank you to the bartenders and the host for a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to return!

Service was great, every time my water glass got even close to empty it got filled, food was amazing they gave me a knife to cut my tenderloin it wasn’t needed due to how tender it was and I don’t know what they did to the cauliflower, I could have eaten a pound of it. The atmosphere was great and the decor was on point, I would leave 10 stars if it were possible

The best food I’ve had in quite a while! The service was wonderful. The servers and hostess were so friendly and professional. They were fast to refill drinks and to take away our empty dishes. They knew the menu well and were easy to talk with. The food was phenomenal! My husband had the Duck breast and he enjoyed how well cooked it was, he described it as melting in his mouth. I had the Fettuccine - the noodles were made there- and the flavor was out of this world. It is a more expensive restaurant, but for the quality of food and service we got, it was well worth it! We plan on making this a yearly anniversary date place.

Not bad! The food was plenty the service was pretty good, but I would have to say it’s overpriced for the area. You can get a nice meal the staff is friendly. Some portions seem small, while others are just enough. Nice place for a date, but be prepared for the bill 😅

Enjoyed wonderful drinks, great service and amazing food. I haven't had quite a mea like this since being back in the states this place is a treasure. We had the Duck Breast, Duck Confit Carbonara, Burrata and Seared Sea Scallops. Drinks were and Old Fashioned and the Vesper.
