I had high hopes for Mi Colombia Cafeteria, but my experience was disappointing. The moment I walked in, the staff seemed disinterested and unfriendly. The food was warm, and the flavors bland, not at all what I expected from authentic Colombian cuisine. The arepas were dry, and the empanadas tasted like they had been sitting for hours. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant was not busy. I waited about 30 minutes for my order, and when I tried to ask about the delay, I was ignored. Positive reviews are misleading, as actual experiences do not match I think the good reviews must be fake because nothing about this place is worth praising. I will not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Colombian food in Miami Beach. Save your time and money.

Well, the Mi Columbia restaurant was a disappointment. I walked in, and the place was almost empty, yet it took them forever to take my order. The food was such a disappointment - the soup was too salty and the rice was undercooked. I ordered the pollo asado, which was not greasy and spicy. The staff seemed so disinterested and non-responsive, therefore making the whole experience uncomfortable. The kitchen itself smells, with sticky tables and dirty toilets. It's hard to believe all these great reviews because it was nothing like what I encountered. Seems to be written to confuse potential customers. If you're looking for authentic Colombian food, I recommend going elsewhere. No taste, no service, no atmosphere - nothing from Mi Colombia Cafeteria. Time and money spent - I will never go back.

Mi Colombia Cafeteria was a complete disappointment. I never write reviews, but my experience at Mi Colombia Cafeteria was so terrible that I had to warn others. I was fooled by the fake positive reviews and decided to give it a shot. The food was atrocious: hard rice, mushy beans, and the meat—tough, almost impossible to chew. The service was poor, and this was the worst dinner I have ever had on Miami Beach. The waiter wasn't friendly at all, was really forgetful during dinner time, and seemed not to pay attention. Entering inside, the restaurant itself didn't seem very clean either. Dirty tables, and there was just this foul smell in the air. I just can't believe I wasted my time and money here. Please don't fall for the fake reviews. Mi Colombia Cafeteria—hands down, one of the worst dining experiences in my life

I was expecting a lot from Mi Colombia Cafeteria because of the great reviews, but it quickly dawned on me that it must be a scam. The worst was the food. The arepas were extremely dry and lacked any flavor; The meat was tough and overcooked. It is not great service oriented. I think our waiter didn't pay much attention and we were annoyed to show up. The area above it was dirty. The door was sharp, and there were flies everywhere. I believe I wasted my money here. Don't fall for these deceptively positive thoughts; The place is a pure disaster, waste of time and money.

I was quite let down by the Mi Colombia cafeteria Miami Beach. All good reviews are fake; this place was awesome. The food was disgusting. The rice was undercooked, and the chicken was dry and tasteless. For that price, portions are small, and the service is just pathetic. Our waiter was anything but aggressive and just ignored us through most of the meal. The atmosphere was as bad, with very loud music and nasty odors everywhere in this restaurant. I still can't believe how awful this place was. Don't waste your money here. Positive feedback is a lie. Mi Columbia restaurant is a huge disappointment for me.

The best Colombian restaurant in Miami! Been coming here for years and it has never disappointed, not to mention that it is completely family owned and they always make you feel extremely welcomed. It’s not too spacious but it makes you feel cozy and right at home.

My family and I came in for the first time, and I’m so glad we did! I’m Colombian and I look forward to Colombian food all the time. We are traveling from Delaware and good Colombian food is hard to find, unfortunately. This spot is small but amazing! From the Sancocho to the Bandeja Paisa, Arepas de chocolo, merengues and much more, this is the place to visit for authentic Colombian food! On top of the food, the owners are extremely nice and the service was phenomenal. I will definitely come back if I visit again!

I just want to return to Miami to eat here again. As immigrants, it is very difficult to find a place where the food is exactly as we remember it in our country and that was what I felt eating here, the typical Colombian flavor that makes you feel at home. The tray paisa is delicious and the chicken rice tasted exactly like the one my grandmother made. They offer a wide variety of Colombian dishes and also typical snacks. I left very happy and also grateful for the kindness and excellent service.

The place is too small to enjoy lunch. So I ordered the tray paisa to go. If you pay by card they add a dollar to the account. The person who helped me forgot to mention this, or I would have paid with cash. When I got home I discovered that the steak was burnt, as if it had been reheated several times until it tasted burnt. In short, mediocre atmosphere and food.

What a treasure to find this place! You will be so happy you went...especially if you want to feel like your back home in Colombia! As soon as I walked in I felt like I was back in Colombia with my grandpa going for the casero lunches. We were greated by Lida who is such a sweet and kinda women who welcomed us to take a seat at the bar oriented us to their menu. I ordered a Bandeja monañera, this plate can easily be shared by 2 people...but i would highly recommend ordering your own, because I promise you will be thankful to have leftovers. Everything tasted soo good! The jugo de mora was so fresh and had a real fruit flavor! There's so many things on their menu that I would like to try, especially with how good the Bandeja was. In conversation, I learned that Mi Colombia is a family owned business ran by Lida and her siblings that has been in Miami for many many years, if I remember correctly, she said almost 40 years. I only have amazing things to say about Mi Colombia, and I know I will be going back to eat again before leaving from my trip to Miami. The food here is amazing, the staff is friendly, attentive, and make you feel like you're having lunch at home with family. They make you feel special, from your very first visit, you can tell they take pride in people enjoying their food, welcomimg you in like family, and sending you home with ñapas. They gave me three pieces of chicken as “pollo sudado”. They don’t take the skin off and the appearance was disgusting. I visited the day before and the fried plantains of the bandeja paisa were uncooked. The lady at at the counter when I told her about the appearance of the dishes told me this restaurant was for the working class. I work I think she was very rude. I am Colombian and I know the good food of my country of birth. I am NOT coming back.

The truth is that I had good expectations, the place was not at all pleasant, the service was very bad, no one was attentive, I asked for red sauce and they gave me an empty jar, the food was the worst I have ever eaten here, I prefer McDonald's, greasy rice without flavor, it looked like dough, the unsalted beans poorly prepared and not at all delicious, the ground beef was there without any glory, the pork rinds were not to mention more fat than meat and on top of that it was not toasted it seemed to be made in a sweat, the avocado green and bitter, the arepa that They give you with the paisa tray it is an old dough ball because it has no flavor but if you feel that it is old and with nothing more to say it is absurd to charge for such a disastrous meal, oh and now I find myself in the bathroom with a bad stomach. possibly because of this food.

It is a small cafe but the food is very delicious. I ate the tray which is served very well. The optional sauce they give gives a lot of flavor. The service was fast and friendly. The passion fruit water was very tasty and not overly sweet.
