Picked up my small pepperoni pizza & it was delicious

They have awesome pizza here it’s not salty reasonable price.

First visit since the new owners... Overpriced, chewy and SO salty 🤢 super unfortunate. We used to love this place!!!

Wanted to like it so convenient for me. Simply awful. Manufactured crust and meh sauce with cheap greasy cheese. I prefer frozen. Sorry guys I heard about this amazing fresh pizza. A big miss.

Pizza is delicious as are the French fries. Service is excellent. I would recommend Pizza by Michael to everyone.

Been going here for years at least once a week, but I'm sad to say since Michael sold it's just not very good. I've tried several times to support new ownership but they're still in a state of confusion and the quality and care is no longer there. I wish them the best but I'm out!

Got a large pizza. The topping and sauce were good! The crust is what needs work! It was really soft/light. Not crispy or anything just kinda weird. Wouldn't go back considering they charged $20 for a cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza! Way overpriced for quality!

This was the best pizza. We loved every bite. Can't wait until my next trip to Saco. Wish they had a store in my home town!

A hidden gem in Saco! I have been here several times and it has always been on point. The food is delicious and the service is great. It's a family business that probably hasn't changed its ways in twenty plus years (I'm guessing). The prices are very reasonable. I look forward to my next visit. The prices seem to have gone up

Exceptional service! The staff are all friendly, down to earth people i had the meat pizza it was fantastic they were not shy with the toppings definitely recommend if you're in the area you stop in.

Had a Michaels special pizza, it was the best pizza I've had in years!! Over the top quality ingredients, fabulous staff. Highly recommend.

I’m newer to the area, and I like to support a small local business like this. Ordered two large pizzas for a football party for $40 with tip. The pizza looked nothing like the pictures. They were under cooked, and the nickel sized pepperoni was the joke of the night. Guy humor at its best. Obvious cost cutting on the ingredients. Not a good pie overall. No one wanted the leftovers. We’re big hungry men, we never leave leftovers, most of it was thrown out. I hope the owners read this and start making a better product. I can’t see how they have been in business so long. They lost a few potential customers on my order alone. Hopefully something drastically changes for the better, and they can stay in business for another 50 years.

You’re not off to a good start folks. You jacked prices and skimped on ingredients! Do you know where greed gets you? A lost customer! I really hesitated giving this review, but it’s honest and someone needs to be honest! You really should be ashamed of the pizza you served me, if you have any.

Pizza by Michael is a staple in the community. I've been going there for over 40 years. I have never had a bad experience. Really hope the new management keeps it as close to the original as possible..

Hands down the BEST pizza around here. Our favorite, crust is fantastic, the owners are always so kind. They do offer dine in as well, it's small but they always have accommodated my large family. They do tons of take out. Their main focus is on pizza. They do have options for some sandwiches as well.

We are from up the coast a couple of hours, but we frequent this area. We ordered 3 pizzas from Pizza By Michael for the first time last night. I like the location OFF of Main Street which made it easier to get parked in my larger pickup and in to their shop. I was greeted and waited on by one of the most friendly and polite young ladies that I have met in a long time. We took our pizza to go and when we finally began to eat about 15 minutes later...it was still quite warm....and very delicious! 2 thumbs up! 5 stars! I highly recommend! Pizza that lives up to the reviews! Michael was closing when we arrived and very kindly made us a takeaway pizza, we opted for a half half jumbo which was 16” cut into 8 slices and was absolutely divine! Can highly recommend this place for pizza

Just ordered a family package (pepperoni pizza), was not pleased to find long pieces of hair inside the cheese.

I went into this shop with high hopes as local restaurants tend to be good and this is one of the best food restaurants I have ever eaten, the quality on all the items in the restaurant ever the recipes that are tedious they perfected everything, and the atmosphere of the restaurant fits that of a small Italian pizza shop, and the service was amazing all the employees were so nice and they make their own crust that makes the pizza so special making their food unique and delicious.

This is a family run pizza house. The pizza here is a 10/10 !!

From RI. Passing thru town - was at Bentley's Saloon nearby. Stopped here based on reviews. Quaint little place. Friendly girl at the front desk. Got a couple of pizzas. Very reasonable prices and pizza was excellent! Highly recommend.

Pretty disappointed. When opening the box it was apparent the pizza was undercooked. Dough was very soft in the middle - so much so that when you go to pick it up, it falls apart. It had to be put in the oven when we got home. We also had a piece of baklava that tasted old. However, the people were kind and friendly.

I absolutely LOVED this pizza. The sauce to cheese ratio was heavenly and the pepperoni was the perfect thickness. And the pineapple was extremely fresh! 10/10 recommend!!

Just had my 1st pizza 🍕 from Michael’s today. In summary, I’ll be back again. It is worth a visit or two…

Picked up Friday night dinner here and would absolutely come back for any (or every!) night of the week. Pizza was on point, every bite was full of toppings, and the crust was perfect. They have two sizes, small or large. Large will feed 3 people with leftovers. Down to Earth and happy staff, couldn't ask for a better experience overall. If you're looking for pizza that's better than a chain store's, treat yo' self!

Sad pizza, crust tastes pre made or frozen, too uniform to be made in the store with no crust bubbles from trapped air pockets. Sauce didn't have any distinct flavor for a reference that makes you want more.

Finally tried them out, I'm always too hesitant to try new businesses, but this is by far the best pizza I've found in the Saco area, fresh and fluffy dough with a nice crunch, a simple sweet sauce thats not too herby, real cheese, and the pepperoni doesn't make too much grease! A recipe clearly made by a passionate and experienced chef. I saw complaints about prices in other reviews but I don't see a problem, 13 dollars for a sixteen inch that two people can split easily, 2.50 or so extra for toppings, and only 1 dollar for soda! You need coupons for that kind of deal at chain pizza place like dominos. I go to saco house of pizza for their variety in a local place, but this pizza blows theirs out of the water.

Excellent pizza and service. I'll have to try the subs next time. I don't know what's better--the food or the prices, they're both superb.

There's a sense of pride in this pizza. 56 years in business and still counting. I love the old decor of the place. The pizza was so tasty the sauce not sweet and the dough so fresh. I'll be back.

Have to say that Michael's makes a damn good pizza get it well done is the way to go. I think they beat Alexis pizza hands down a bit bigger menu and you can get a jumbo pizza to feed a family instead of all the mini pizzas. Totally go there at least once a week the last 6 months

Best pizza in Saco/Biddeford (apologies to other great pizza places), but this is MICHAEL's Pizza--legendary. Not cheap; worth it. Usually order takeout & since we're in Maine, the obligatory (50¢ mini) bags of chips to accompany said pizzas. Spouse likes Greek or loaded, one kid likes ham & pineapple, another cheese...my parents prefer mushroom & pepperoni. Yummy oven pizza...not greasy college style (which has it's merits) nor Chicago/NY/CT style pies, but straight up "homemade" pizza. We usually order large pies each for leftover snacking. Small pie IS small & perfect for 1 (or 2 light eaters/young kids)... BTW the subs are outstanding too. Personally, the meatball wins, but it's all good.

Found this place for a quick lunch while camping in the area. Absolutely loved this pizza! Wish we took a picture because it looked as good as it tasted. Lots of toppings and definitely made fresh. Great find!!

Last time I ate here was in 1992. The pizza was excellent then too. It's a small establishment off the back of Main Street in Saco. $16 for a large pepperoni. A bit pricey, but it was worth it!

This place h as been here in saco for years and still can't be beaten for pizza variety and price, the owner is so pleasant and friendly. Oh yea cross the street and ladies get your hair done with cassie! You can't go wrong with the combo😍

Nothing fancy, good pizza, amazingly cheap prices. I got a small pie of half cheese and half green pepper and onion. It was like a pan pizza, with good tomato sauce and cheese, and fresh-cut veggies. I wasn't thrilled with the crust, but it was okay. The restaurant is small and clean, with a 1970s vibe. If you're looking for 'hipster' or upscale with craft beer and cocktails, this ain't it, but it's fine for what it is.

This place is one of my absolute favorite places in the Biddeford/Saco area. This is a small family owned place and could easily miss this place if your not looking for it. Their pizza as well as their other food is done by hand, the sauce is homemade and I think the dough might be homemade as well. The only thing I think might be outsourced is the cheese, but it's still VERY good! The pizza is cooked to perfection to where sauce is sooo tasty, the cheese goes really well with the sauce and the crust is crispy yet light and fluffy on the inside, mmmmmmmm yummy!

Staff was very friendly greeted quickly. Place is what you think of for a classic pizza place. I got a small pepperoni pizza an Italian sandwich. The sandwich was great with fresh bread and veggies there was just a little bit too much oil and vinegar but better than not being able to taste it at all. The pizza was thicker and soft it's own unique sauce that has a little bit of spice to it. Overall very solid I would be happy to go there again.

Family of four with a 9&12 year old, after a great day at funtown splash town we wanted a quick meal. Welcomed warmly by the owner we got a couple of pizzas that everyone ate. Next year when we make our annual trip to funtown splash town there is no question on where we will stop for dinner on our way home.

Have eaten here often and the pizza is along the design of a Greek style pie and is very well made....great sauce, cheese and crust. An off-the-beaten-path location in downtown Saco, with plenty of parking. Give it a try!!

I used to go here with my mom once a week when I was younger. I would take her out to lunch and we would talk and catch up. I came here for lunch after 10+ years of absence when this tradition faded and everything was exactly how I remembered, even the food. If you do something right, dont change it. You guys hit it out of the park!!
