Update. I wouldn't recommend this place any longer. We used to really enjoy the food here but the service was so so the last few times and for some reason the buffet was not stocked well with food. They kept running out of chicken and were only bringing out 8 or 10 pieces at a time (when they were busy) so when the patrons seen it was getting refilled, it was a mad dash to the buffet to get a piece, then you had to wait another 20 minutes for a few more pieces to come out. We're done with the place.

Great people, great food and had a great time. Rachel was awesome, kept my glass filled and removed the plates.

Small town diner with good food and friendly people. Used to come here a lot when I lived in Ithaca, and both my parents lived around here a bit back in the late 1930's. This was the kind of place they always took us when we went out for a family dinner. Plenty of parking - and the pies are great, so save room for dessert!

It was Sunday buffet only. It reminded me of an Amish style buffet.

I absolutely love this place and make the hour drive to eat here when we get the chance, or stop here to eat if we're in the area. Its definitely worth the drive and wait (if there is one)! They have the BEST chicken on their BUFFET. Yes, they have a buffet! It's not very big but worth it. There's a hot food bar and a salad bar. The fluff on the salad bar is amazing and everything is homemade! I typically don't have room for dessert but almost always take a slice of pie or giant cinnamon roll home with me for later! It is hands down one of my favorite restaurants EVER!

Such a cute little diner with amazing food and great service. 👍🏼 Our waiter Wanda was very nice and accommodating ☺️ They also make their bread fresh and it is so yummy! 🤤😁 If your looking for some good home cooked comfort food, this is your place.

Went there for the Swiss steak and buffet. The service was very good. The buffet was good, fried chicken was very good. The Swiss steak however, was fair at best. It was tender but unlike any Swiss steak I've had before, thin not savory gravy... meh. $15 buffet.

Always a great place. Many decades, and still the best around.

Can't say enough about this place. Went for Sunday buffet and so much on the hot bar not disappointed. Only downside was the salad bar, very small and not much on it. That's why I only gave it a 4.

Food is great but getting pricey

If you would like to eat at a diner with that old Hometown feeling and atmosphere instead of a commercial restaurant, I would recommend this place.

This mid-Michigan gem is old school comfort food at a great price! Think Sunday supper but everyday. Specials different days of the week, fried shrimp, fish, ham....broasted chicken is my hook, bread pudding with lemon sauce. Their fresh bread is delicious...be sure to try the wheat! Everything has gone up everywhere but this is a place where value still matters. Huge selection of pies and yummy cinnamon rolls!

updated 7/12/23 great food great service great pricing spicy fried chicken was stood out over the regular fried chicken but both were great. the fresh baked bread was another great item hopefully my schedule will allow me to try the dinner buffet some time most impressive food and service dinner buffet just as high quality as lunch buffet standout item was the broasted pork chops and mac and cheese oddly i have not been to this diner on any day but tuesday but i have been totally stuffed every time again great service great food and great price

They have an all you can eat chicken buffet which is great but the deserts are out of this world

Small diner with the best chicken around. All the food is homemade and they have a nice salad bar with reasonable prices. They also have a full menu for those not interested in the buffet. Huge variety of hand baked pies and they sell local honey and honeycomb for cheap along with maple syrup. Kids eat free on Thursdays, 10 and under!

The chicken was good fish was good also we went on Friday I got the buffet they have different food everyday on the buffet went Tuesday for dinner got meat balls and macaroni and cheese and chicken.

We had our first dinner at Middleton Diner. We enjoyed the buffet! The food was excellent! The deep fried cod tasted superb, and the real mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious!! The peach crumble pie and strawberry rhubarb pie were amazing to complete the feast 😋

Went for buffet on Friday. It was pretty good and plenty to eat. Should have left sooner. Lol

On occasion I take a friend who has never experienced Middleton Diner. We always come back so satisfied with the food and service. Great place to visit.

We live a couple of hours from the Diner, so we only come here several times a year and always look forward to delicious food and never disappoint. I love the buffet!!

Have heard many good things about the Middleton Diner and decided to drive up and give it a try. We were not disappointed! We got the lunch Buffet that included salad bar and it was awesome! The homemade dressing was great and the Broasted Chicken was second to Zhenders! Lots of pies to choose from for desert also! We will be going back!

We ran across this place on our way to somewhere else and it was really a good place. Great food inexpensive prices. Lunch buffet was really good.

We've been here 4 times and the food was always good. Only taking stars away because we live appropriately 80 from the dinner and headed up the on Sunday Dec 31 for the buffet. We checked their website before going there and it said hours might very but didn't say closed. Drove there and they were not only closed but not even a sign on the doors saying closed. Again checked the website and it said they were open. They need to do better job communicating with the public.

The best Broasted chicken and an Awesome buffet! A place you got to try and if you like fish then Friday is your day, as they have Perch & Cod on Friday!

My dad brought me here to eat. Wow. The spicy chicken was hot, tasted so good! The pasta salad was perfect, French dressing perfect. Bread pudding, very very good. Gravy on the mashed taters. YUM

Great place to eat. Best fried chicken I've had in a long time. The bread pudding is to die for. Waitress was fast and efficient. The diner was packed on a Wednesday at noon. Will definitely go back again.

Service was absolutely fantastic, and we'll worth the drive! Went here for my boyfriends grandpa's birthday party. My only complaint was there was a hair in the lettuce in the salad bar when I went to take a bite, but other than that a very lovely diner!

If you want a really good lunch or dinner buffet, this is the place to go! Everything tastes like Grandma's cooking, nothing tastes like they cheaped out. Their pies looked very rich, and the wait staff was very preppy and cheerful. The lunch buffet had home fried chicken, mashed potatoes, salad bar, homemade Mac n Cheese, soups, turkey dressing, and even home made bread 🤤. The atmosphere gets 3 because it was very plain and nothing stood out to me, but it was clean so it meets the expected rating. If I'm ever headed west, I'm making plans to stop at this place for a great lunch!

We went for the Sunday buffet dinner and everything was good. The girls are really sweet in there. The buffet is small but it has everything you need to be full and satisfied. We will be back!

I'm not sure what is was, but my wife and I were not a fan. This was our 2nd time here. The first was probably 5 years ago. Nothing has changed. The exact same buffet, the only thing that changed was the price. 18 dollars for a buffet...wow. We will not be returning.

Hometown cooking. Roast beef, fried chicken, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. There is a salad bar as well. The restaurant was almost packed but I walked in and was seated immediately. Waitstaff very kind and friendly. I brought hone a piece of chocolate cream pie. Decent prices.

We stopped for Sunday buffet. The variety was great, the food was fresh --fresh salad bar, fresh baked bread, roast beef, broasted chicken, etc. Service was good and the diner was clean and cared for.
