Small rustic diner in a tiny little town. No name on the building but right next to the train tracks and looks like it used to be the train station. Some old photos and memorabilia on the walls. Mostly locals, most people seem to know each other. Friendly staff, fast service, and typical of American breakfast diner food. We each got omelettes and got the onions and gravy on the home fries that were served with the omelette and altogether made a good bite.

Great little hidden place! Food and service were excellent!

Just wish they took debit cards. Just make sure you have cash lol but love this little place

A greasy spoon, as they say, that is clean, with good food. Different daily specials.Open 6am-1pm everyday but on Mondays. Very friendly, with a great homey atmosphere. Every One knows your name like Cheers. Locals mostly. Feel like family. Food is fast, and is homemade favorites. Reasonable $$.

This place takes you back in time. It was like eating at my Grandmothers home. Loving staff, everyone was talking to each other around the restaurant, and the food was really good. Gem in the middle of a small Indiana town. Loved it.

Very nice Mom and Pop restaurant. You can tell how good it is by the way the servers greet the customers, mostly locals. It's worth the stop if you are passing through.

This place was so cute! I work nearby and have heard great things about it. I decided to stop in for breakfast to go. Wonderful service, cozy atmosphere, will definitely be stopping by for lunch. It is cash or check only, which I have no problem with, but keep that in mind if you want to make a visit.

I love small town diners. This place was heaven. I was there early and got to see a bunch of older men sitting around the couner solving the world's problerms while promptly served some delicious midwest style breakfast.

Bacon was overcooked in my omelet and my wife's. Scrambled eggs should be Scrambled, not flat and folded. B&G was really good. Best I've found in the area.

I have never gotten a bad meal here. The breakfast is great! Usually have trouble finishing because I always have a plateful. The staff is friendly and kind. They always make me feel special. Thanks to all.

The Midtown Diner is a staple to our local community. It's the place where everybody knows your name and you become part of the family. Food is good and if you get there early enough in the day make sure you pick up a piece of homemade pie. The daily specials make eating out affordable.

I had biscuits and gravy. It was very good. There service was great. Oh!!!! Bring cash. They don't accept credit cards.

I stopped here for lunch at noon on a Thursday and the place was full of people, there were only a few seats open. This place was busy and most likely because it’s one of the only restaurants around. It is very much off the beaten path from the expressway. I took one of the few tables that were open, and my server came right over and took my drink order and gave me a menu. The menu was a little bit of a disappointment, I was expecting some good old dinner favorites and really it was heavy on breakfast items and lunch was mainly hamburgers and sandwiches. I ordered the BLT sandwich along with a cup of potato soup. The BLT was served with French fries. After a short wait, approx. 5 mins, she brought me my lunch. She served the soup with the meal, and I really would rather have my soup first so neither one gets cold. The soup lacked flavor, not completely, but it was rather bland. The BLT was fantastic, it was very flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and the tomatoes and lettuce were very fresh. The only thing I wished they would have offered was a BLT club sandwich as the sandwich left me a little hungry. Now the French fries here are on another level. They were cooked PERFECTLY, they were on the fat side, but very crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. They were WONDERFUL… I would come here just for the fry’s… My only complaint came at the end of the meal when it came to paying my bill. It dawned on me when I brought my check to the register, that they might not take credit cards and I was correct they didn’t. I had to leave my driver’s license with my server while I ran several blocks down the road to go to a convenience store to use the ATM. THAT WAS A PAIN. I personally don’t understand an establishment not taking credit cards today, this is 2023. Everyone has a smartphone and can use PayPal or square. I am more than willing to pay an additional 3% for credit card processing fees, just post that is your policy for accepting credit cards. At least that way, it is our choice, right now you are not giving us a choice at all. I will only go back if they start accepting credit cards.

If you're looking for a hole in the wall hidden gem then this is your place! It's a converted house into a diner. It's small and the waitresses know their customers by name and treat you like a long time friend. They have several homemade pie options and they are delicious! We stop here frequently and always have a great meal!! There are daily specials for breakfast and lunch. It's not a well publicized location and we learned about it by word of mouth years ago. You should definitely make this a place to go if you're between Indianapolis and Cincinnati.

Great little place to grab brunch! Classic home cooking that's super affordable and delicious! You feel a bit like you're stepping back in time when you walk in the place with their old photos and memorabilia and the staff is wonderful! Make sure to bring cash as it is cash/check only!

Updated:This place still one of the best omelet's know to man. I've never had a breakfast that wasn't short of amazing. Don't go for atmosphere... and is cash only. Take the drive!

I would highly recommend. Great food, good prices and friendly staff. Julene was very friendly and a very good server. I loved her sense of humor. One of us got the "whatever"omelette" and it was delicious. I got eggs over easy potatoes with gravy and sausage gravy and biscuits. It was all good quality and delicious as well.Will definitely stop by again if in the area. Thanks Midtown Diner. Well done!

Found this gem on a random search. It is a quaint throw back to what home town dining is supposed to be. They have a good menu of good food, with good prices, and fast, friendly service in an atmosphere that says come on in and relax. I will definitely return.

Absolutely wonderful. The kind of place you can't find in a city. Great food, wonderful service, really cool setting! We told our server it was our son's 6th birthday. She brought his egg sandwich with a candle and sung happy birthday to him. 😀. The old photo is what the building used to be. Cool history and a wonderful breakfast. Hope to return when I'm in the area.

If you want to go to a diner that takes you to back in time to a like a Mom and Pop"s diner.This is the place. Waitress greets you with a smile and says Hi. Sit down where you like. Food is great. Waitress comes by to see hows your food is and ask is there anything you need. Prices very reasonable. When you enter you will see items used long time ago. Too many things to list. You just have to go, to see it all. Most of all for for the great food.

Fantastic! Stopped in and had one of the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! We were traveling from northern Indiana to TN plenty of food to fill me up. Easy stop right off the interstate.

GRAVY and BISCUITS 5stars alone, but the fried potatoes with gravy was more like smothered mashed potatoes.. not tasty at all. Bacon perfectly on point!!! I'm sure we'll go back to this diner again.. just won't order the fried potatoes.

This place looks like a hole in the wall but don't let that deceive you. The food here is all homemade and absolutely delicious! You want a hometown feel with food that tastes like your momma made it for you definitely check this out!

I’ve heard of this place, & finally got to visit it. Truly EXCEPTIONAL food, service & comfortable facilities. The Midtown Diner is just off of I-74, in the “CinciNapolis” area of Indiana. That’s a local term, for 1/2 way between Cincy & Indy. Very modestly priced, for the best food.

I enjoy breakfast at this restaurant when I am in town. Meet others who frequent the place. Food is always good.
