I tried to make reservations at 9:02 when they opened for the year to take reservations and I reserved 23 people . At 9:07 when I clicked enter they were sold out for Friday and Saturday. We have been going for 16 years but this new reservation policy will end my patronizing of Mike's Farm. I had to contact 23 family members who wanted to go and now I guess I can call and tell them the sad news that mikes farm has gotten too big for their britches and don't really care for long time patronage. Good bye Mike's Farm.

We came here often. The last couple times had just gone downhill. We tried again today and it was worse: Service was REALLY slow. Food was awful. Chicken looked like pigeon wings and were tough. I thought well it’s the first serving so maybe that’s why. Nope second plate of chicken came out and it was the same.

We vacation from New York and stayed in North Topsail. Looked to see was in the area and saw Mike's was on our way to Jacksonville, NC. What a gem of a find. We didnt pay attention to when the restaurant t open at 4pm but our unplan worked out. Got there at 2pm to leisurely shop in the gift shop and so many treats to purchase. With a wine slushie in hand sat in the rocking chairs, in the shade, on the porch. Then they came for the restaurant, the cars pulled up and when we took the first bite we understood. The food was beyond declious. Buffet style bought to your table. My four sisters and I ate like Queens, we ate, exhale, breathe then ate. You take no food with you. I highly, highly recommend Mike's. If you are in the area it is a must stop. If you are not in the area, plan a trip.

Food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service was superb. Must go back!

Love going everytime we are here

I have been to Mike's Farm several times and I have never been dissatisfied.

Food was brought to table. No menu or choice of food. Good food and good service. Gave 4 as no choice of food.

Unfortunately, the food is not worth the $. Instant mashed potatoes, canned “limp” green beans, tough biscuits, and artificial tasting desserts. Chicken was good as well as the pork tenderloin. Service is good, and fun atmosphere.

This place is so great! The food and service is amazing! They have gift shops with desert you can purchase. You can also feed the goats! I would highly recommend this place!!

Food is yummy, the atmosphere is fun! We had a great time.

This place is all about atmosphere and home cooking. The fried chicken tasted just like my grandma's. God willing, I will be back.

I loved the gift shop! We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was decent. The ability to sit and stay awhile before/after eating is so nice.

Walked into main shop, women says bakery is open. We walk over there another women stands behind the glass just watching us. She didn’t budge to try to greet us or help us at the counter. Ended up just walking out.

The food is delicious as always. The Family enjoyed the shops and feeding the animals.

Food quality has definitely dropped over the years! The soft ham biscuits were as hard and tough as hockey pucks, the pork was extremely dry and overwhelmingly salty, they brought a small plate mostly of tiny wings to a 7 person table and worst of all their famous mac n cheese came out not once but twice overcooked and burnt on the top.

Great place first time there waiters are very nice. Good food buffet all you can eat. Great place to take your Family....

We were there for a graduation party and in the banquet room. The room was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating and professional! Such a good experience!

Mikes Farm is always a good time. We had reservations this year for the holiday along with the hayride with christmas lights. 10/10, well worth it. Santa visited the kids during dinner and talked about their elf at home, the lights were amazing and the flag portion at the end was just beautiful. Their shop is full of so many goodies. Trying a new wine from them, but recently got habanero red raspberry jam, local honey, candied jalapenos, and some adorable kids items.

There is so much to do at this place. Make it a day trip. Spend the afternoon visiting the animals and farm equipment, then head inside the large shop for most things local to the area/NC and finish the day out with a family style meal in their restaurant. This is a very cool place for group meals as well. Staff and atmosphere were on point and welcoming.

Mike's Farm is an experience, not just a meal. First of all, you will have to wait for a table. That's just how it goes. However there are plenty of things to do and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the farm while you wait. And you won't have to wait too long. Family style meal, no menus to order from. Food is amazing. The mac and cheese is the best in the world. The holiday things they do are awesome for kids. I always enjoy an evening at Mike's Farm.

Excellent southern soul food. Great for larger family gatherings and outings with your peers at work. A flat rat of around $26 with a family style buffet. Literally the best Mac n cheese I've ever had. There's a community gift shop/farmers market with so many local products it's incredible! Bring quarters to feed the animals at the petting zoo!

This place had a lot of nice things to shop for and/or browse. Kinda too busy to eat in unless you go early but i do take out which is easy. Mac and Cheese is the best. They have events and animals to see. Great place to visit. I’m like 2 miles away, i like it!

Mike's is great. I've not always had stellar service here; for instance, once the server rushed us in and rushed us out which is not the best experience; and wait times can kill, but after all, it's Mike's, not McDonald's! Overall, the staff is great, the service is great, and I've never been disappointed with the food.

Great..strawberry picking.. my 2 year old great granddaughter loved the animals. And the dinner and service was amazing. Our entire family had a wonderful time

I was told the place and food was good at one time not any more . had to wait 2 hrs 8 of us they charge to much brought our food out only enough for 4 or 5 people 15 min6 later they put a order for more food .came out with emough for 3 people.so we complained finally got a manager then they over did it with the food which wasn't very good.

This is a fun family experience. There's good food served family style, and may I add, all you can eat. My personal favorites are fried chicken and what maybe the worlds best Mac and cheese. There's a great gift shop and bakery along with a petting zoo for the kids. There are seasonal hayride activities which I can only name a few, strawberry patch picking, pumpkin patch, and Christmas lights. Check the website for current details, I think you will enjoy your visit.

Awesome family experience! Speedy service for all-you-can-eat fried chicken dinner, including choice of dessert. Plus, goats, sheep, peacock, and chicken. Plus, a collection of vintage tractors. Lots of fun in a fun, beautiful setting. Family owned and run. Don't miss it.

We celebrated moms 76th birthday here.

Went for strawberry picking and it was great. This is a fun place to bring kids and let them enjoy seeing the farm animals. They have the most extensive and elaborate christmas lighting during christmas time provided you are up for standing in line for 2-3 hours.

What a fantastic place for the whole family. Watching and feeding the many rambunctious goats is fun. The amount of local vendors selling quality products is mind boggling. Mikes Farm products are first rate too. We love stopping by whenever we are in town.

My son and daugher-in-law live right down the road from Mike's Farm and have been there sevetal times ...so when I came to visit them we went to eat at Mike's and the Food was outstanding!!! We had a wonderful meal and then we had the best time shopping at the gift shops. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Went for the last private ride through the Christmas lights. It was awesome. The kids loved it and the person that was driving the tractor was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Christmas 2023 at Mike's Farm was our first time. I took my son and my dad. My man and his brother. It was absolutely spectacular. We will be going back in 2024

Beautiful farm that turns into a pumpkin patch in the fall. Lots of space to park! They offer a variety of activities including a hay ride, a general store, live music and so much more! In the winter time they have Christmas lights all around the farm. We never visit Mike’s without eating! They have some of the best fried chicken and biscuits I have ever eaten in my life!

The food was delicious and the hayride light show was excellent.

We went for the dinner and hayride after Christmas which we really enjoyed! The hayride was a highlight the way everything was decorated. The food was great; Southern foods were served. The shop has alot of products made from around NC. Highly recommend visiting for all ages.

We like to enjoy their hay rides for over a decade. We were never impressed with their food but the atmosphere is really nice.

They do an awesome job for dinner and the Christmas lights!! If you want to go for dinner and lights I recommend you get a BIG group and get a reservation in advance. The coolest Christmas display anywhere!!!

Christmas lights were beautiful, well worth the wait

Went for our first Christmas hay ride and dinner. The food was great and our server was fantastic. She managed 50 people in our room flawlessly. The rain held off for most of the ride but it didn't take away from the splendor of all the lights. We had a memorable evening and will be back next year to make this a tradition

The light show was amazing and though the line was long it went pretty quick...the bakery is unbelievably delicious..

We enjoyed a great meal at Mike's Farm. After dinner was a hayrack ride with a fantastic Christmas light display. It was worth the twenty minute wait!

Fun family experience for all ages. We attended the Ho Ho Christmas Show. The older people in our group loved it. The meal is served buffet style. We were the last table to get in line yet there was plenty of food and the servers maintained the buffet throughout the meal. We moved to the hayride and enjoyed the amazing lights.

It doesn't matter how old you are we have been there three times and have loved all the Christmas decorations. Everyone is so kind and most helpful.

Mike's Farm is definitely the place to visit during the holidays. The food is incredible and the Christmas Lights Hayride is fun for the entire family. Make your reservation early because it books up fast.

Our church had an evening of lighted Christmas hayride. Oh wow it was so nice to experience the themes and music as you sitting on a bale of hay. Then the family style food is always delicious. The ham biscuits started the meal. You have a choice of syrup, jam, jelly or eat plain. Then comes the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, fresh corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans. Oh you can keep eating until you are so full. Then dessert is banana pudding, cake, and cheesecake with various toppings. Everything was delicious.

Was not expecting this place to be as amazing as it was. The food was delicious AND reasonably priced. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was unique. The entire experience was exceptional. Not to mention the hayride of lights. Wow!! Just wow!! No wonder it's so difficult to get a reservation. Well worth the 3 hour round trip drive to get there.

We took visiting family to see the Ho Ho Holiday show with dinner. It was wonderful!

Was thinking we would never get to the lights. Once we did, we enjoyed it all! The bubbles substituted for snow was a fantastic surprise! At the end, the big flag and the song were heart warming. If a real soldier had been there, it would have brought me to tears.

We come here every year for Christmas and they never disappoint. The food is always great and their dessert are even better. The customer service is awesome, from the check in person to the person cleaning off the tables.
