I come here pretty often with my husband and tonight I noticed something pretty rude this woman came to pick up a order and they passed her total 6 times not asking her who she's there for and noticed a nice young lady come out of the bathroom to help this woman and her order was there on the counter the whole time and thought that was very rude of them especially when she's there delivery there food to a paying customer all I could do was shake my head at the rudeness and unprofessional this place was and how they treated this women...

ordered online and waited for like 45 min then they say oh that was the old website we have no order for u... so now waiting another 45 min.... why have a old website that is the one that opens from maps fyi???? DELETE THE OLD ONE IF U DONT USE IT!

I've been going here for a long time. I have family close by and my wife is from Japan. We essentially only go here with small exceptions for sushi. Actual Japanese workmanship is a big plus but they have amazing food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. It's a simple game, atmosphere, food quality, staff and presentation. It's all there. They aren't the cheapest but they are well worth what you get. There's a lot of places more costly and less pleasant

My absolute favorite sushi place in north Pinellas county. The sushi is always fresh and consistent. Quick and friendly service. Not a large restaurant, so there may be a small wait during dinner rush, but definitely worth the wait. Fire Island and Spider rolls are my go to rolls - can't go wrong with those.

This is hands down me and my husband's favorite places for sushi. It looks very unassuming from the outside but inside it has such a comfortable and chill vibe. Everyone there is so kind. I think it might be family run but I'm not sure. After I had my son this was the first meal I requested and as usual amazing!

Greatest Sushi !! We had Angel Roll Dawn Roll and Dragon Fly.....Hands down the best sushi I've ever had ! Can't wait to come back !

Food was alright, atmosphere is amazing, service ranges kinda, I'd advise not getting any tempura due to no seasoning or flavor but the sushi is okay.

Mike’s sushi is the best sushi in the area. We visit there frequently and it never disappoints. Rolls are always fresh and delicious. Lighting is a bit dim in the booths and is sometimes harder to see the menu (for those that would need one). Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The sushi was terrific. Such a large serving for the money. We both got a sushi deluxe and were stuffed. Excellent food. Quiet atmosphere so we didnt fit in well with the toddler and no kids menu. Next time we'll do takeout.

Some of the freshest sushi I've ever had.

I had the 3 roll lunch special, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious and very fair priced. It came with soup or salad. They have Bento boxes Hibachi and other lunch specials. I will definitely return.

Maybe if you love minced fish, you'll love this sushi. But if I order salmon sushi, I want salmon there and I don't want to eat minced fish instead of salmon.

Like some other reviews said... from the outside I thought it would be something different. We had a great experience and food was very good. Nicely decorated. Every server attended to our table. Made sure we had water or if we needed anything. It seems to be Family owned... not sure who "Mike" is but it's definitely not a white boy making sushi. Lol. Update: a year later... we still really like this place. Sashimi is very good! 🍣

I have been searching for an awesome sushi restaurant for the past 3 months. From West Tampa to Holiday to St Pete and several sushi restaurants in between. I would find a new place and spend the next three days trying different rolls. Maybe I was just lucky but every place I went to was good. There wasn't one that stood out over the others or one that was bad enough to single it out. I just happened to be in Palm Harbor last night and saw a sushi bar in a strip center. I ordered two rolls online, to go. Traffic was horrible so I decided to pull back into the parking lot and eat my sushi. IT TOOK ME OVER 90 DAYS AND PROBABLY OVER 100 ROLLS TO FIND A SUSHI BAR THAT EASILY STOOD OUT OVER THE OTHERS. MIKE'S SUSHI IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST SUSHI I'VE EATEN IN FLORIDA. The flavors were on point, fresh and absolutely delicious. The presentation was pure artwork. The price for the signature rolls is just a little higher than the average sushi bar but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the portion served is close to twice the size of all the other competitors. If you like sushi then Mike's Sushi Bar is the place to go. It is a definite 5 star sushi bar and you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to going back again tonight.

I was already skeptical about this place but I decided to go in anyway based on the reviews. I ordered two rolls to go. I specifically said no mayo. They gave me the roll with mayo. So I got out to the car, check my bag and had to go back in and return it. I had to order some thing else. And the only other thing I could order, was $2 more. These people actually charged me the $2 more to make a different roll because they messed up mine and said they couldn't fix it. They messed up my order-wasted 25 minutes of my time on the first order -and then proceeded to make me pay the difference because the only other thing I could get was a little more expensive.. to which I had to wait another 15 minutes for that roll... 40 minutes for two flavorless Gross rolls. I guess when you name your sushi restaurant "Mike's," it should've been a dead giveaway

I have been there a few times and I keep finding myself wanting to come back. The sushi is always cold and fresh, and the chef's are quite fast at getting you your order. The presentation of the food is average, nothing crazy, but the quality of the food is fantastic. Would highly recommend to others to try.

Best gyoza I've had since living in Okinawa. Spicy tuna roll and chicken teriyaki were excellent. Volcano roll, not so good.

Extremely delicious sushi and apps. Great atmosphere and we had such a sweet waitress. I was super happy with the vegetarian options, and LOVED that they offered a 'make your own' roll so I could customize my veggie rolls. The edamame and agedashi tofu were perfect starters.

Best sushi we’ve had outside of NYC! We ordered for delivery and everything was perfect! We had yellowtail sashimi,lobster roll, edamame and miso soup. I have lived here for 8 years and thought all local sushi was awful, until now…..we’ll be back …..maybe tomorrow:)

We have done take out from here a couple and ever time it is fantastic. You can do menu rolls or be creative and make your own. They don't skimp on anything. The Miso soup is stellar. We love Mike's for quick great dinner.

The food was amazing and so fresh. The restaurant was very small. We wound up sitting at the front door. Felt like we were in everyone's way. There were 4-5 other parties waiting to get in.

Great place for sushi. It is the only place in the area that makes its own egg omelet sushi. All the others are generic from a vendor. And the egg is great! Can't miss with this place! Don't forget to ask for the hijiki.

Staff was very friendly but unfortunately, the food didn't have flavor and was very mediocre. We were disappointed because we had heard great things about it. We know a lot of others had really good experiences, but unfortunately that was not the case for us. We won't return.

First time at Mike's sushi and it was delish and hot sake was perfect! Cozy atmosphere and awesome server, very attentive! Mike's is a hidden gem and will definitely be regulars now.

The bomb. They have THE best sushi and hibachi in Tampa. Good affordable pricing and it comes out super quick. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, it would be Mike's.

Decided to venture into another town to try out some of their eateries. My husband loves sushi, so after looking at reviews, we decided to try out Mike's Sushi & Sake Bar. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The sauces were delicious. We enjoyed the following: Gyoza, miso soup, ginger dressing house salad, Salmon Hibachi, California roll, Eel roll & Tampa roll. This place was delectable.

We have ordered takeout and eaten in their dining room and the proportions of nigiri are perfectly balanced, a small (not compressed rice) amount of rice with a generous piece of fish! Best I’ve had in Tampa Bay!

This is a small little restaurant that is always busy because it is worth it! The staff is friendly, food amazing, and the perfect spot for lunch/dinner alone, as a couple or a group of friends. Love it at Mike's

First time, maybe they were having a bad night, but crazy lobster roll left much to be desired. No roe, coated with a pile of some powdery substance, mostly rice, even after requesting "very lite rice". Wasabi was fluffy and definitely not a pure Wasabi, no heat at all. I may just be spoiled by Tampa sushi, but this was a definite no for a return visit.

Not a huge fish fan but, Mike's has an amazing Kentucky roll and Special Krab! Always fresh and well presented.

I’m not a fan of posting a negative review of a business unless the experience was justified. However, I went to this restaurant because of the 4.7 review rating. A 4.7 rating to me would indicate a very good restaurant. In my opinion this rating is not accurate. The staff was polite and helpful and atmosphere was quaint and pleasant. The sushi I chose (Spicy 2 in 1 & Monster) were disappointing. I recommend steering clear of those rolls and trying something else. I recognize my experience could be what I ordered and not the restaurant as a whole.

Updating my review (2/4/2023) I still love this Sushi place. Again, the only sushi restaurant that my husband and I love going back to (in this area). There hasn't been another sushi place that he and I have enjoyed eating at. We live in Orlando so whenever we're going to Tampa, we always have to go to Mike's Sushi 🍣 I love the staff ❤️

Ordered four different types of rolls for take-out, but none were tasty. The Volcano roll's weird consistency, tasteless tempura, rainbow roll from any supermarket is much more delicious. The eel roll was tasty, but it was impossible to take it with chopsticks. Very disappointed

It was OK. Sushi was ok, service wasn't the greatest.

We have been eating here almost weekly for almost three years (since moving into the area) and the quality is consistently great. We do pickup most of the time but the atmosphere is lovely, and the folks are so warm. The fish quality is consistent, online ordering is always accurate, takeout is packed tight and safely, though I wish they would use something other than forever-plastics in their packaging, but its par for the course locally. It's clean enough that we feel comfortable giving our toddler their sushi weekly, because I trust them to use a non-raw-fish knife for her cooked roll when asked, etc. It's the little things on top of great flavor that has us coming back - about to place an order right now actually. Really can't recommend this lovely place enough - its the standard for the area and sets the bar for great sushi.

This place is so amazing! Not only is it the bear sushi anywhere, their other dishes are incredible and their staff is always happy, friendly and attentive. We are ruined will never go anywhere else for authentic fresh Sushi!

Great sushi and great lunch special

We live nearby and love ordering out or dining in. The food is usually delicious. I recommend sticking to fish and not ordering chicken. The fish almost always tastes fresh. There are times you might get a fishy tasting roll, but as somebody who used to fish, I feel like sometimes it's just the fish itself and not necessarily a reflection of the restaurant. The staff is always friendly. There have been times we ordered out, and they only gave us one set of chopsticks or only one soy sauce when we ordered like four rolls plus soups or salads. Their prices seem fair, but we eat out less frequently due to the recent inflation and prices everywhere increasing.

Mike’s sushi has been one of my families favorite spots for years! Amazing sushi, soups, teriyaki dishes.. Takeout orders are always timely and correct. The ambiance inside is adorable too with private secluded tables. We’ve known the staff for years and they are endlessly kind and friendly. We love Mike’s!!!!
