I visited Mikonos recently on a business trip to the area. Not knowing the area, I checked the restaurant menu on the web and was delighted to find Taramousalata on the menu but was disappointed that they no longer offer it. I instead chose a spicy shrimp appetizer to start. It was loaded with flavor and quite enjoyable. It doesn't come with bread or pita, so I ordered some to dip in the amazing sauce. For my entrée, I chose the Lamb Chops. While the seasoning was delicious, the Chops themselves were pretty dry, and I ended up eating only half of the entrée. The lemon potatoes were amazing, however. I would've loved a big bowl of those potatoes! I ended by taking delicious coconut mango truffles back to my hotel. FYI, restaurant also doesn't serve alcohol but you can bring your own wine (problematic for business travelers).

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people because the food is delicious, friendliness of the staff is good, pleasant atmosphere,etc. You get your money's worth at this restaurant! I would recommend the chicken souvlaki platter. The lemon potatoes in this platter were excellent!!! 😋

Service was terrible, never got to order. Whole group walked into an almost empty restaurant. The vibe was weird. Sat down waited no one came to even offer water. We purposely closed the menus and looked at the staff that proceeded to walk past the table at least three times.Finally we left and no one noticed or cared because they don’t care. Unfortunate.

What Greek restaurant doesn't even have beef/lamb gyros on the menu!?! You can only get a chicken gyro which is absurd. The atmosphere is below average. All the tables are crammed together.The older guy that works the register is very rude and unprofessional

All four of us left full & happy! The Moussaka, Pastochio, and Gyro were all delicious. My youngest son (10yrs) ordered the burger kids meal and I didn't expect much but it was also delicious! The patty was made by hand and it had some kind of spices in it that gave a great flavor. My boys loved seeing them set our appetizer on fire (Saganaki Flambe).....it was good and enough for one or two bites per person. We were so impressed with all of our food, we just knew ordering dessert would be worth it. The baklava and rice pudding did not disappoint!

Delicious amazing hummus and fresh soft pita, great flavor to their lentil soup! Next time I will order extra pita for the hummus. Love love will go back again and again for this.

Authentic, fresh excellently prepared Greek dishes. Great value for $.

Was told $3.75 per souvlaki (skewer). When I arrived at restaurant, somehow, magically, her register rung the total to $4.25 each. Now I know why they are ALWAYS empty for dine in. Up charging customers for no reason at all, not good business practices.

Saturday we went for lunch on a whim because we happened to be in the area. The waitstaff and the owner were very welcoming. Started with the Kolokithokefthethes (homemade zucchini croquettes) and they were so light and flavorful. Wanted to sample a few things on the menu so we ordered the Liga Apo Ola (for two) that included moussaka, pastichio, spanakopita, and dolmades -- all of which were wonderful. The lemon potatoes were out of this world. The table next to us ordered the kebobs, which smelled amazing (I’ll definitely be trying those next time), and many regular customers were arriving as we were leaving. Full from our meal, we took an order of Baklava to go. We enjoyed it tonight (Sunday), and it was so delicious that we regretted not ordering two! I just grabbed my phone to compliment the restaurant, but they are closed on Sunday, so I jumped on Google Reviews as fast as I could. If you are in the Ewing, NJ area, don’t miss out on this cute, little gem. Can’t wait to go back!!!!!!!!

Food was nice, like a homecooked meal. Our waiter was super nice, superman doing everything himself with chefs help at times. He was the only waiter, and service was a bit slow.

My daughter and I were looking for a good Greek restaurant. This place had the tacky Greek front where you knew the food would be good. The food did not disappoint. We had the gyro and pork souvlaki. The food including the Greek potatoes was excellent. The owner/server was grumpy and rough around the edges. He didn’t have change when I paid with cash. Based on other reviews, pay with cash here. We will go back for the food any day.

Food is tasty, and portions are generous.

We were a group of 16 and the server called out sick. I think the owner and a cook was all that was there. I have to tell the service was still great and the food was fantastic. The guy,think owner, had a sense of humor though it and food was hot and delicious. Highly recommend

Took the family (12) people to Mikinos for daughter's graduation from TCNJ. Could not be happier. Excellent food, very fairly priced and excellent service. What a fantastic place!

Owner is a really weird person who clearly needs to get a reality check. News flash buddy, segregation doesn’t exist anymore though I can tell you wish it did. He kept giving me a hard time for not pronouncing a dish correctly even though I apologized and said I didn’t know how to pronounce it. Only smiling at white customers. No wonder your restaurant has bad energy because you are a bad person. No intelligence.

The food is always good but I just don’t like the fact that everytime I call it’s a new price ! And I literally order the same thing all the time ! And also they mess my food up the last two times smh unacceptable

RACIST OWNER!! Host was nice to other tables with fast service except for ours. Only one person operates the restaurant at any given time. Upon arrival, the host wouldn't seat us, had to find a seat ourselves. Had to wait 15 mins before visiting our table. We were brought only 1 cup of water (table of 2) which we had to wait an additional 10 mins to receive.We deciced to leave after waiting for 45 mins for the entree which never arrived. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DON'T GO THERE!

Seriously?!! I'm in town for my daughter's surgery and was literally starving. Went here today at opening, ordered a chicken gyro + salad...Overheard the waitress and the chef literally SCREAMING AT EACH OTHER ABOUT WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IT WAS TO MAKE MY SALAD. They were yelling at each other at the top of their lungs. There's no way they couldn't have known I heard them because I was right in front of the kitchen and cash register and the only person IN the restaurant at opening today. By the time I got my food, I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Why would ANYONE WANT TO EAT FOOD INFUSED WITH SUCH DISCORD and who no one even wanted to make for me?? Seriously?? What's even IN a salad: lettuce, a few onions, maybe a tomato and a cucumber, how hard can it really be? How much of an inconvenience ARE your customers?

Good as the food in Mikonos is! Love it and recommend.

I should have looked at the pictures and read the reviews on this, but the gyro platter that came with "fries" was what i was told. I expected a typical gyro sandwich you know folded in a pita with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and tzatziki, side of French fries...this is what I got. Disappointed. Revised ton4 stars only for food taste though, as it was still very tasty. Would have preferred the more traditional sandwich instead of the mess of the deconstructed version.

Loved the food, and service will be back!! Got most of the desserts at our table, very much enjoyed! Kids and I enjoyed the lemon potatoes, and I had to add a side order. I ordered the Moussaka.. i loved that it's decorated in there, very pretty!! *Nice that the waiter was knowledgeable about what items were Vegan for BF. Lentil soup, Hummus, Melitzanosalata, etc. There is some Vegetarian items but def able to make Vegetarian or Vegan.

Mikonos is my favorite restaurant in the Mercer County area - a lovely place to eat. Great service, absolutely delicious (and consistent) food, and a great laid back atmosphere. BYOB. Some of our faves are the village salad, lemon potatoes, chicken souvlaki, gigantes, and lentil soup. I particularly appreciate the positive attitude of the staff and management. They said a great example for the kids for how a team can work together well.

It's beyond me how this restaurant has so many positive reviews. The three of us ordered 3 different dishes. They were all awful. One was too salty, one was greasy and loaded with salt and pepper on the FF, and the gyro was not authentic layered as the server stated but made of the commercial, unidentified mixture of ground terribly tasting meal. To top it all they ran out of unsweetened iced tee, and couldn't make more because the owner wasn't there, and no it wasn't closing time it was at lunch. Very disappointing, we won't be back.

AUTHENTIC GREEK FOOD! This is the BEST Greek food in NJ, I went to the Culinary Institute of America and have traveled all over the USA trying different cuisines. This is one of the BEST meals I’ve ever had! Will be back soon!!

Food so good I feel ruined for any other greek food, and almost any other food in general. Seriously. From the started all the way to the desert. I told the chef this meal was in the top 3 best meals I’ve ever eaten. This humble chef just thanked me and moved on to clean the table next to us. I asked the server if he heard that a lot and she confirmed he gets compliments all the time. The atmosphere is more like a Midwest diner, which is quaint and perfect for taking the kids out to dinner or just an informal night out. Highly recommended!

If you like soup, the lentil and avgolemono are excellent. I tend to do soup and salad if I go here but I have tried most of the entrees as well and they're also great I just love the avgolemono too much to not get it every time (if you don't know it's a lemon and chicken egg drop soup) also the owner is very kind and so are the staff there's really no reason not to come here.

I ordered a chicken gyro platter as a takeout today and that’s what I received. Not sure who ate my salad? It was not really worth the money - $14.

Close your eyes, take a bite and the food will take you to or back to Greece. The smells the flavors the atmosphere is so authentic and delish! Cannot wait to go back there!❤️ The owner is a real sweetheart too. Kind and personable and fair! He gets it!

The food and service were excellent. The owner waited on my party and he was really nice. I visited Greece in 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food at Mikonos is on par with the food I enjoyed when I visited Greece. Definitely give this restaurant a try!

Polite service and delicious food made for a great lunch. We especially enjoyed the hummus, Greek meatballs, chicken souvlaki sticks platter, and beef and lamb gyro!

When we walked in we were not greeted like other restaurants. We were asked if we wanted a booth or a table then he told us to sit down, handed us the menu. We waited for 15 min without any acknowledgement. The bald guy seems to keep passing us by. No communication or acknowledgement. So we walked out

Mikonos is one of the best places to eat in all of central New Jersey. The Greek salad, the gyros, the baklava, Greek coffee, and the spread sampler are my go to's and they never disappoint. The owners are super friendly and take great care to serve everyone with excellence. If you want excellent food and more than fair prices, add this place to your list. If you like Greek/Mediterranean fare, it will become your regular spot. There are other Greek restaurants of the area.. Local Greek comes to mind.. and you could go there if you want to pay more for inferior food. As for me, Mikonos is the best Greek place I've found..

Good Greek food served by shady THIEVES. Watch your credit card bill like a hawk if you pay by cc! My family and I went there after visiting the cemetery nearby. It started out like a great experience with nice friendly faces and atmosphere, a nice change from grieving a deceased loved one. Food came out quick and was pretty authentic and good. We enjoyed our lunch and were feeling generous so left a 25% tip to compensate for credit card fees… then a few days later I notice my cc was charged $5 and change MORE than what the total bill + tip was. Nowhere in their menu does it say extra CC fee nor did the gentleman mention any CC fee when taking payment. I even did the math and tried to make sense of the extra amount and it does not equal any % of the bill total (whether subtotal, after tax, or including the 25% tip). I easily disputed it with my CC since I have a copy of the receipt after I signed (ALWAYS a good habit) but this is the last time we patronize this restaurant. I do a quick search for reviews and see I’m not alone in their extortion scheme. What a shame, charging a little more for every customer and banking on the fact that most people probably don’t check their CC statements. It would serve them right if someone went and charged a $300 bill there and disputed the entire bill.

This review is really a combination of two separate visits in January and May 2023. Mikonos is a favorite of ours. It has the feel and flavor of a Greek diner, but with an entirely Greek spread. Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the gigantic portions and multiple course dinners. Every meal comes with a salad and most of the non-pasta/orzo entrees have at least one additional side. It's hard not to eat all of the same things and each time I try to find something different. I was very impressed by the vegetarian plate. The braised beef special melts in your mouth and is a perfect combination with the Greek dishes. BYOB never hurts either. One day we'll save room for dessert, but the flavors of the mains and appetizers are just wonderful.

Small nice restaurant in town. I like lentils soups, salads, and dolmades ; best part is dessert their blakava it delicious!

Wonderful Greek food! My gf and I work nearby and get lunch here regularly. The tzatziki is amazing, as is everything else. I took off one star for service not because of the quality of service, which is consistently great, but because it seems they are often short staffed. The quality of service is top notch, but sometimes the server(s) get a bit over their head with the customers and having to keep up with it all. If you are patient, they will take care of you.

This place was amazing! The food was delicious, I tried the beef limonatta which was the special for the day. The meat was cooked wonderfully and seasoned well but the orzo was my favorite surprisingly enough (I'm usually more excited about the meat!). The orzo was cooked perfectly and the sauce tasted of olive oil and light lemon with herbs. I also tried a new dish (usually I'll get the baklava) and tried the galaktobureko which was a custard in phyllo dough with a drizzle of honey and caramel. So very delicious. The staff were wonderful, informative, gave great recommendations. It was a great evening.

Well, I just came back from Mykonos and Athens and this restaurant did not disappoint! The Moussaka was as good as any I had in Athens! Thank you for bringing back my wonderful memories of Greece!

What a hidden gem near the airport. Restaurant does not say much from the outside, but once you step inside you are greeted cordially and amicable. The restaurant literally takes you back to dining anywhere in Greece; loved the ambiance. Madison our server provided a professional and courteous service, good job! Obviously food prepared fresh and as ordered. I love my lamb meat in my gyro. All 3 of us liked the food very much. I am not a greek food kind of guy, but definitely I will patronize this establishment again.

What a great meal! We have been here before but I just loved everything I had tonight! I LOVED the Dolamades, Pastitsio w/ lemon potatoes, the Avgolemono (Greek chicken soup) My wife had the Pork Souvlaki. Everything was so tasty and authentic!

Unassuming hole in the wall delivers an incredible experience! Food was bursting with flavor, portions were large, and prices were extremely reasonable. We got the Trio of dips as an appetizer and I got the mediterranean chicken as my entrée (pictured). Our waitress was very attentive which is hard to find in a post-covid world. Although the decor is not the shining star of the night, the restaurant was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful gyro platter, tons of meat with flavorful sauces and tender potatoes. This place is a gem. We had a Greek restaurant like this but it closed. Support your local family owned restaurants.

Liga Apo Ola - a combination platter consisting pf Mousska, Pastitsio, Spanakopita, Dolmades and small salad. The Pastitsio was macaroni layered with small amounts of beef and topped with bechamel. It was light and good needed some more Seasoning. The Moussaka also was not heavy make from layers of eggplant , potatoes, beef and topped with bechamel. Good flavor. The spanakopita is spinach pie, thin dough with spinach and feta cheese. It was delicious on the smaller size. We also had Tzatziki sauce and you can tell it was fresh. Very good. The wife really loved the lemon potatoes. Dolmades were fresh and homemade these were really delicious. For dessert we enjoyed the rice pudding, it was a good amount. Creamy and light not too sweet.

I love Greek culture so I’m a little biased, but any authentic restaurant run by real Greeks gets five stars from me.

Getting tired of Italian restaurants, I found this cute little place near the hospital I was visiting. Had the grilled pork souvlaki sticks served with lemon potatoes, small salad and pita. It was all very tasty. The owner was taking on the responsibilities of the server that didn’t show up and was doing a great job. He was a very pleasant guy. Prices were reasonable too.

I had a great delicious food experience when visiting Mikonos! The saganaki flambee was soaked in honey, and the spanakopitakia was tasty as were the lemon potatoes.

Mikonos will fill every box if you're in the mood for some freshly made, Greek food. Relaxing BYOB stand alone local destination that serves hot, well seasoned, generous portions with a casual feel. Enjoy!

Stopped for lunch with a coworker. Food was good. Service was quick. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Had a gyro, it was good. Worth going from time to time.

This is my favorite Greek restaurant in the area. BYOB. Usually quite, but I recommend day-of reservations on Friday and Saturday nights. All meals come with salad, and aside from pasta, most come with sides. Highly recommend the lemon potatoes as a side. I haven't been disappointed by one dish whether in-dining or take out , but tend to love everything they make with orzo. There's really no way to go wrong with any of the appetizers. Portions are ample and leave you with lunch for the next day. All the staff is very friendly. They don't know how to manage a full room, so that can ,mean the meal is slow. Don't take it to heart and just enjoy the ride.

I like only spinach pie, but on salads olives weren’t fresh, the salad wasn’t smell good, at chickens they used some spices that even you cannot get the taste of chicken.. also there was a bugs everywhere..

We meet for lunch every Friday and Mikonos is our constant go to place. Food is delicious. We are very comfortable there. Kostas is very warm and welcoming owner. His lemon potatoes are a must have. The guys have their special orders and I love the spanakopita.

We got food picked up for work and I ordered Papoutsaki which is eggplant stuffed with veggies with cheese and bechamel sauce. $15.60, gave $20 to include tip and when I received my food there was no cheese and no bechamel sauce. Very disappointing. Will not be ordering from here again.

Delicious Greek food! All the favorites on the menu. I starting with the moussaka and lemon potatoes--very good and very generous lunch portion. I'll be back for saganaki and avgolemeno!

I have been here maybe a handful of times, but their food is delicious! I've never had a problem with the accuracy of my order or the time in which it was received. My go to is the beef and lamb gyro with French fries. You do not need ketchup! The herbs they season them with give them a very singular taste that is muted by ketchup. The meat is soft and well seasoned. One thing that stood out to me the last time was how thinly sliced the red onion was. There was plenty of it (I like that) but you don't take a bite and burst into tears from the onion flavor. I ordered a salad and lentil soup because I was HUNGRY, but my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The gyro filled me up. I had the fries for second lunch, and the salad the next day. The dressing for this salad was also something you can't get from a bottle. Yum! And I completely forgot about the soup at home and eventually had to throw it out.

While a long standing local favorite, we only discovered it recently and have already been back again! Great Greek food, with attentive, incredibly friendly service, at a reasonable price. If you enjoy Greek food - this is can't miss. Sneaky surprise, their desserts are really exceptional!

We took our grandson, who's a junior at TCNJ, to Mikonos for brunch. He ordered the lamb chops and we shared the Mediterranean seafood platter (shrimps, mussels and squids over spaghetti) for 2. The 4 pieces of lamb chops were grilled to perfection. The seafood platter was so tasty and the ingredients were very fresh and cooked just right 😋😋 Mikonos is our favorite restaurant in Ewing NJ!

I enjoyed the moussaka, potatoes, and Greek salad. However, my brother ordered the gyro platter, and it was sparse. It had pita bread, shaved beef and lamb, and tziki, along with potatoes. Now, gyros also have onions and other things in it. Not this platter. Perhaps the gyro is better but don't order the platter. I think it may be a hit or miss menu. We had good service and brought our own bottle of wine.

This Greek Restaurant was a Grand Slam. The owner actually cleaned the table and served us. The Food was so Fresh. The Shrimp and Octopus appetizer dishes were amazing. The Main Platter was amazing. The Baklava and Rice Pudding were insane. We are definitely coming back soon!!!!!!
