food is not the problem. it’s actually very delicious. My problem is the trashy waitresses that they hire. My husband came home and told me a waitress started hitting on him and when he told her he was married, she said “so what, it hasn’t stopped the other men who come here”. it made him so uncomfortable he had to leave.Why is this establishment hiring trashy girls? We really enjoyed this restaurant and now it’s ruined bc you guys hire low class women.

I love the place, my family really enjoys eating the seafood barbecue every weekend for years and it is fascinating!!! The attention is a thousand out of ten, I feel like family!! And the best in cocktails!!!

Delicious, the food is very delicious, the desserts, the drinks, all of them and the service is perfect, you couldn't ask for more.

I had to move to a different chair as water was dripping on me from a leak on a stained ceiling, hence the two stars in Atmosphere. I advised a waiter. Paella was tasteless served in a pool of unappealing broth. Calamare in the paella was rubbery (overcooked), nothing that I would order again if I were to come back. It was our first time at this restaurant and will be our last. Staff was attentive but service does not add stars nor does it compensate for bad food. Not recommended.

The meats were really good, tasted freshly cooked. Good atmosphere. Service was okay, i feel like our waiter was a little flat, spoke very softly and sometimes i could barely hear what he was saying. Overall good experience. Would definitely recommend this place

Good food drinks wasn't happy Parking may be a problem

I had the lunch special, one of the meats which was supposedly Filet mignon was way overcooked. Meat was tough like shoe leather. Service was meh at best. No one asked if I was ok, if I wanted a refill on my drink. Soda was from the fountain, taste like pure syrup. For the price for lunch special not worth it. I did not feel welcomed to the restaurant. I saw other clients getting better treatment, maybe they are regulars, maybe they got better food than I did.

First time here. Met a friend Saturday evening for dinner and drinks. The patio area has a very nice ambiance with the umbrellas, string lights, and good music that isn't too loud. It was busy, but not packed. Waitress was very friendly and personable. My friend had cod fish and I had salmon, both were delicious. There was a mixup with our garlic shrimp appetizer, as it arrived after our entrees. However, the waitress took it off the bill without us having to ask, which made up for the delay just fine. All told a very good experience and I will certainly be back.

The Rodizio was outstanding! And the Picaña was fabulous! Great service as well from our waitress Carla.

Excellent service, delicious food, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive employees. Small parking lot, but it doesn't matter because the place is nice and super clean. 100% Satisfied.

Unfortunately, my experience was not good. My family and I went there for Mother's Day dinner. The menu was limited to the lunch specials. The atmosphere was nice. However the quality of the food and service was not good. A $46 rib eye plate was served with of what tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. The Bitoque was flooded with sauce, the steak was chewy and the potatoe chips were soggy. Our waitress was not attentive to our table. A few times we had to ask other waiters for service.

The worst experience, we arrived we were waiting and other people arrived WITHOUT a reservation too and the table that they would give us was given to those people I think it shouldn't be like that

The place is splendid very beautiful the comiga is wonderful and the service is unique as they make you feel like a very special being.

In town on business. Was taken their by a friend that is local. What a treat this place is. The portions are outrageously large for the price. All the food was so good, too good really because they give you so much you want to eat it all! The servers were super friendly and seemed like they knew everyone. A soccer match was playing and the crowd was very into it. Super fun place! Off the beaten track but fabulous!

Food was Great and the young lady that was our waitress was sweet . i was just disappointed because my daughter took a friend and I to have lunch . as usual we order the rodizio . We hadnt finished eating our food , so the young lady as if we would like a container to take leftovers home. so we said sure . another lady came to the table and told us we couldn't take our food home because it was the rodizio we ordered and we're not allowed ti take home. So i asked for a manager . Manager Ignacio comes to the table . Again he repeats what the second young lady said . We couldn't take our leftovers home . You would think he would make an exception, which is the right thing to do . We werent aware we couldn't take the leftovers home . Very Bad Customer Service ! Maybe the employees need proper training including yourself. Didn't even apologize . He doesnt deserve to be a Manager. my daughter has alot of friends that work for the city of Elizabeth and they all meet up there. for Drinks and appetizers . So disappointing. I will not go there or take another friend there .

Awesome spot in Elizabeth you should try. Good parking in the back. This place has a bar area and a restaurant style seating area on the side. We've been going here for a few years now and it's always a good time. Beautiful place inside and out with a clean fresh look. Service is top notch and so is the food. We stopped in for lunch and the menus are all on tablets but ordered with a server. Sangria is flowing here! They immediately put fresh bread and butter and a bowl of olives out in front of you while you order drinks and look over the menu with daily specials. I had the 1/2 picahna which came with rice and beans. They continually bring it on a skewer and slice it off for you then grill the outside again and come back and forth till it's gone!! Crazy. My boys had the picadiu which comes with rice and fries ...abig bowl of meat and shrimp in a nice sauce. Also the garlic shrimp which is always delicious. And grilled jumbo shrimp which came with chips and rice and beans. Beautiful. Huge portions and cooked perfectly. You gotta check this joint out!

Bom restaurante, nada mais. Ainda guarda alguma coisa da comida portuguesa, mas não o suficiente para comparar com os verdadeiros restaurantes portugueses. Éramos sete pessoas, a comida foi boa de um modo geral, mas uma das pessoas pediu um bitoque que estava péssimo, a carne muito passada e muito dura. Comentamos com a atendente de mesa, que se limitou a dizer que iria falar com o cozinheiro. Se quer uma verdadeira cozinha portuguesa, procure outro local.

My mistake was not posting pictures of the food. I stopped there for lunch and had some great chicken and seafood linguine. A bottle of wine some grilled pineapple with pork and an espresso. All reasonably priced with parking in the back. The staff was friendly, the place clean, and the food was delicious

One of my favorite Portuguese restaurants in town. Try the garlic shrimp or calamari as an appetizer. Then my favorite the filet of sole delicia. It's s a filet of sole with a sweet banana on top sitting in a lemon butter sauce. Amazing

I recently dined at Minhoto for Sunday lunch and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was delightful, the food was exquisite, and what truly stood out was the impeccable service provided by our waiter, Sergio. I ordered the Rodizio which he prepared and he also recommended great wines for our table. His attentiveness and hospitality enhanced our dining experience, making it truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant, and kudos to Sergio for his outstanding service.

Fuimos a cenar hoy sábado 17 de junio mi esposo y yo, pedimos media picaña y le digo a la mesera que no me retire mi plato, quería solo compartir una picadera que pedimos, no quería comida y resulta que es una política del restaurant que si dos personas piden media picaña no puede dejar otro plato sobre la mesa porque se supone que media picaña no se puede compartir. Por dios que situación tan absurda, estoy pagando un servicio y puedo compartir lo que desee, no es posible que ke sienta obligada a pedir comida sino la deseo, de verdad que pase un mal momento, le pedimos cancelar el pedido y ne dice que la comida debemos de llevarla pq ya estaba fuera de la parrilla 🤨😬 en verdad este sitio no lo visito más

Mmmmm best picanha ever!!! Seasoned liberally and grilled perfectly!!! Generous portions better for sharing! We always make sure to pass by here when we’re in the country. Look for Joe who grills it the way we love it!!!

So first of all the parking is horrible. It took us 20 minutes just to get a spot because thankfully someone pulled out and we got a spot. The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the waiter was so nice. However, it took over an hour for our food to show up and it was dried out. My salmon was dry with no flavor and my husband’s lobster was like rubber. Would not recommend it here at all.

I had such an amazing experience in this place. I remembered it was back in 2012 by June when I went to visit my family in Elizabeth. Me and my Mom had so much fun there watching the NBA Finals championship series (we are from Miami so were excited when the Miami Heat won the championship) The Caipirinha was soooo good. I ended up singing karaoke .LOL.

This place was awesome. William our server was on the spot. He was attentive, on point, and friendly. The server said it would take 40 minutes for the chicken to be done but the chicken came out sooner. We were so comfortable there the time just passed. We were just chilling. The music was mellow, the dining area quaint what more can you ask for. My brother had shrimp and rice. He had lots of shrimp in the rice. Enough leftovers for a day or two. He said it was tasty. My bar b q chicken was juicy and tender. Even the breast was tender. I heated it up today and the meal was better than yesterday. Great selection of wines. You must check it out. They won't disappoint.

Is a good place to enjoy, nice environment but the staff was kind of rude they were talking behind my back, just becuase I didn’t order nothing to eat!! I went just to enjoy a wine and mind my businesses and people were starring at me, and murmuring I notice. not hard feeling, I love this place!

Hidden gem I lived in this town for 32 years and never went inside this place .l used to pass by it ,I even had a friend live upstairs and you guessed it I never went in until my sister subjed it after another restaurant was booked and man oh man it was fantastic now I go every other week great food ,atmosphere the servers are very nice I recommend this Minhoto as a must try.

Great tapas at the bar, nice atmosphere and very nice girls serving with a great service and an smile. This is my third visit to this place, nothing fancy but nice and clean, great selection and affordable prices. I always for the main course have my favorite grilled cod fish. I was invited by a friend and business colleague, good bar for drinks and some tapas. Delicious Portuguese food very reasonable prices best bacalao grillado, grilled cod fish. Freindly staff.

The food was great, portions were huge and fresh to boot. The downside was the service; ordered a few different items, they never came, requested a doggy bag, my leftovers were taken but I never got my to go bag. The atmosphere was large and open, AKA, loud and impossible to have a conversation with people at your own table.

Went there last night. Worst service I have ever had, the calamari was over cooked and hard. By the time we got our food and the bill to it was a little over 4 hours. The lady said it was because they had a party upstairs, even after the party left the service was still really slow. Just for coffee and desert it took about 35 minutes.

Service is bad. Yung girls that do not know how to serve a client. Food is ok. Very little traditional portugese dishs and prices are very high.

This has been one of my family's favorite restaurants for about 15 years but today we ordered a grilled fish and they gave us a super dry, practically inedible fish. We told the manager, Ana, and they gave us a take out container where we were given a fish that was even worse and ended up in the trash at home.

I've been coming here for several years and both service and food gets better every time also all renovations that were done to place just made the restaurant even more amazing!! 5 stars to me
