I can't rave enough about this family-owned gem! The authenticity and freshness of the ingredients are unmatched. A must-visit place for anyone in Delphi or Lafayette!!

Low quality Americanized “Mexican” food with barely competent service

Fast and delicious. The counter person was clearly in training, but the trainer was nearby and both were smiling and accommodating. The dome is lovely in the winter, but the frame was uncovered, of course, this time of year. The pictures are of specials and may not always be available.

Everything was great. People were fast and polite. The food was delish and pleasing to the eye.

We were h-u-n-g-r-y! I like supporting local establishments, so we made a decision to drive a little bit off our route to eat here. The staff was patient and smiling. There is no indoor seating; however, the outdoor seating area was welcoming. The prices were reasonable. We both ordered 9-layer beef burritos. Here's where things went wrong. . . The flour tortilla was raw from the package. I know they are technically not raw, but they should we warmed on the griddle before adding the ingredients. I'm not saying grill the burrito necessarily but heat the tortilla to enhance the flavor of the tortilla and soften it before filling. The fillings were ok except the beef filling was bland. My husband liked the Spanish rice filling. I thought it was generic instant Spanish rice. The burritos were served with awful packaged taco sauce consisting mainly of corn syrup and other unwanted ingredients. I wished I had some Taco Bell sauce packets in the car, but alas, we stopped eating there years ago. The chips and salsa were also a waste of money. Although the pico d' gallo appeared freshly made, who knows. The serving was in a small plastic dish not anywhere near enough to mask the taste of bagged low quantity chips from the grocery store re-bagged in a paper sack. Don't waste your time or money eating here.

We had an excellent time. We ate our lunches in the vinyl dome. The radio was a little loud when a employee heard it she turned it down and the entry door would bang. But the food was beyond excellent!!! And the vinyl dome had the Pastor so intrigued he actually got up went to it and touched it to find out what it was made of. The employee's are always extremely kind, the entire place is extremely clean. A great place to eat outdoors (with trees) no bugs mosquitoes, flies, any other flying insects. I want to eat there during a storm. Moppin.

I took a Pastor and his wife out for lunch we ate in the vinyl dome. The food was amazing the dome was nice. Great place to take a Pastor and his wife.

Had lunch today at Mitchell's. I had the grilled beef frito Burrito, order of queso & chips and a drink. My friend had a chicken Quesadilla and drink. Everything was Awesome. Got order fast and everybody is so friendly there. It was a very nice, sunny day to sit outside in there igloo.

Would not recommend ordering online at Delphi location. Multiple times me order seems to be forgotten when doing this. Order, show up at time on order, but it isn't ready when I get there. I get asked to pull forward and 25min later someone comes out and asks if I received my food, just to go right back in and grab it as if it'd been ready. Yesterday I ordered online for 620 pickup and didn't leave with food until 645.

I went in for chips and salsa and the guy working gave a couple samples of their hot and it was amazing! The salsa I got was amazing! Friendly workers nice and polite! Loved it

Very good tacos-I especially enjoyed the michiwrap and sitting outside. The atmosphere was quaint and it felt nice to support a small business! Would definitely come back!! Clean and friendly. Not authentic Mexican food but a fun place to try.

I love coming here. We go every time we are in Delphi, always. And we make trips up there even if we're not going. I usually get the wet burrito. It takes me a while to eat it but it is dynamite. But today I got the chili lime salad wow!!!! That chili lime sauce I could drink that!!!! Definitely get that again. Some of the best food by far. And the prices are definitely affordable. I have to thank my mom and my brother for telling us about this place I don't think I would have found it if they hadn't. I also love their chips light and crunchy and I like how thin they are.

No parking and food prices too high

An extra $4.25 for a kid's drink, kid's chips, and tiny ice cream is insane! The taco was already $3.65, so almost $8 for a kid's meal is wild! Also, the rest of the menu shows prices with different meats as the total price, so the little + in front of the $4.25 wasn't very obvious and I thought it was $4.25 total to make it a meal (much more reasonable for a kid's meal). A more obvious distinction would be helpful with so much on the menu to scan through. The Queso nachos were tasty, but chips were soggy from so much queso/sauce and not many chips. I added jalapenos for 50¢ and only got maybe 5, there was very little chicken which was dry, too - not worth the cost. It is the soft open, so hopefully the kinks will work themselves out, but the price to quality of food ratio felt off to me and likely won't be a regular place to eat, unfortunately.

Dined in at the new Lafayette location. Service and food was great! Nice clean atmosphere. Will be going again soon.

I always love Mitchell's. The chicken bacon wrap with is my favorite. The potato soup is very good. I really have not ever had anything bad. Everyone is ways so friendly.

I love Mitchell's Mex and am looking forward to their new location on Creasy Lane in front of Menards! If you're doing keto, they do offer items in a bowl (try the wet burrito in a bowl with chicken) or the Taco Salad (no tortilla chips).

Great locally owned business with good American-Mexican food. Always a hot spot for locals, with staff-inspired creations on the menu. Good place to grab some grub. Their only limiting factor is space. This is a takeout only, with outdoor dining and a drive-through available.

Ordered on July 4th. Restaurant did not update hours, or shut down their online ordering so I lost 20$.

Queso comes in the same size container that other restaurants put hot sauce in. You get the option of small, med, or large which only applies to the size of the chip bag- that is not specified on the menu.

So good!!! Everyone complimented us on the food and how good it was! We had them for our daughter’s wedding and son’s grad party! They are lovely people, easy to work with, on time and the food is amazing! Thank you Mitchell’s!

The staff at Valley Oaks Delphi love this place. We have tried most things on the menu and have been always satisfied. We probably eat here several times a week. The customer service is great and if mistakes are made they are corrected right away.

Always delicious food. Sometimes we buy extra for lunch the next day. The food worms up well and is still delicious. We call and order and the food is always ready when we arrive. If you love Mexican, you should give Mitchell's a try.

Besides tasting fantastic, the way they prepare and package the order is perfect. I don’t feel that they are looking at ingredient cost when they are deciding how much of what when putting together the menu items. It’s as if they think of how they would prefer the food to be if they were receiving the order themselves. With the nachos that I’ve just finished, the chips were bagged separately and the ingredients were layered in a different container. They provided a fork, which I questioned, for about a second. Then realized that I did want it so that I could get just the right amount put on my crisp tortilla chip and have the best bite every time! I haven’t even delved into my tacos yet. I took the time in between so I would not lose this feeling, before slipping into a wonderful food coma, completely satisfied with my meal. With complete and total sincerity, Angela A.

If you like Americanized "mexican" food this place is great...if you are looking for authentic Mexican food....go elsewhere. The citrus lime taco with ghost pepper sauce is a notable menu item.. their quest sauce is decent, too.
