I got there before lunch rush and had my order quick and fresh!

So I don't have to. But I'm gonna have some fun with this review. Ok let's begin, so be me, I show up I'm the only one in line, I order my food and here's where it gets bad, I clearly tell the incompetent caher what proteins I had on my plate. By this time I've watched the three young women working in the front of the store. Stand there and gossip about God knows what by this time I turn around and there are damn near a bakers dozen of customers behind me. Anyways here the thing that got me. This half hazard casher tries to tell me that she has to double charge me for my food because I guess she either misunderstood or misheard me when she asked me what exactly I had ordered. And I'm just like you're gonna double charge me for a portion of stake that y'all already skimp on ? So she takes my plate back over and proceeds to take the stake off, like what are you gonna resale this stake to someone else! And it's really the principal of the matter. Took my dollar back out of their tip jar. Like I'm I the one in the wrong here? What happened to the customer is always right? Never the less ill be writing my local congressman. And I really hope one of the higher-ups that work for this establishment can somehow right this wrong. Such a simple detail that got overlooked completely ruined my experience here. I had a catering order fall through with another company and was in a massive bind. Called these guys up and they were able to put some amazing food together for 80 people within 40 minutes. Not to mention this is during the lunch hour. Beyond grateful!

Customer service has been brutal. Used to be one of my regulars but the staff they got dishing up food and at the register are full of drama and just weird. Haven’t come in a while and it hasn’t changed much. —— I had to come back and change my 4 stars to 5. If you consider my personal trio of consideration — taste, price, and service — Mo’ Bettahs cannot be beat. It is the clear winner in SLC if you want a tasty, cheap and happy meal/experience. Taco trucks are a close 2nd but they can’t match Mo Bettahs. ————————— Delicious and always fresh at a reasonable price. Only drawback is the abundance of salt they sometimes use in their pork. Otherwise, a great place for a hearty meal. ————- Back to 4 stars. The amount of fat in the pork is consistently more than half which is really gross and unedible when it's that much. I can handle 20-30% but over half, and it's been this way for a while now, is not good.

Waited 15 minutes for my food event though was slow and at 1:47 pm they do not have food ready many people waiting o. Food because there was no restocking, and when I got my plate this is what they gave me. I’m not begging for food I’m paying for it. Paid $14 dollars for this portion which is incredibly ridiculous 4 tiny small pieces of chicken. Very disappointing. Who’s the manager here? Please make sure you take care of customers we are the ones who keep business going

Okay, so it's fast Hawaiian food.. but it us the best damn fast Hawaiian food you can get!

Raised the price of their food. So now this place is terrible. Food still good *update had diarrhea after. This is not a healthy option for human consumption. And actually every time I have had this mo Betta I had more mo soft poops. So ewwe. Food taste good. But bad for you . So I'm out. You won't see another dollar from me. . Ghosted

Wish they were open on Sunday but for at least 6 nights a week it’s a winning choice.

Yo chefs can't cook at high heat at a fast pace ya putting too much presssure on them have em learn how to turn down the heat if they ain't fast enough to flip those meat

We're not from Utah, but come here for work every summer. And when we come to Salt Lake, we always come to Mo' Bettahs for some ono grinds. They have a simplified menu, but that doesn't make it easier to order cuz everything is so tasty! I always love the atmosphere, and the music reminds me of being home in Hawaii. Give 'em a try if you like good Hawaiian food.

What aggravates me the most Is the fact that you have to weigh my food and take miniscule pieces off the plate that you've already put it on. This place acts like they're going to go broke giving me my monies worth.

Used to be my absolute go to!! Now that they’ve started construction the service is bad, they charge 50¢ for each tiny sauce cup and serve almost no meat on the plate anymore!!!

Very busy at lunch. Which is good. Food was very tasty. Reminded me of Hawaii. They give you a lot of food.

It was alright. We were hungry and it did its job but their chicken was a little dry. Good portions though. Two people can easily share.

There’s fire grilled and there’s fire burnt. Lately it’s been the latter. Been noticing a decline in food quality lately. Turn down the heat a bit, slow down and cook the meat right. There no reason for it to be burnt.

Staff is friendly, greets you with a smile. Quick on serving. The remodel has made the restaurant more open and inviting.

Edit: I find it comical to suggest I send an email when I already stated in my review that I sent an email about my complaints before posting a review and got zero response. Original review: Store was visibly dirty with both debris and splattered food remains, my order was 35 mins late and the staff refused to refund my money and cancel my order insisting it was coming right out, got my food after lunch break ended and had no time to eat. No drink or extra sauce or something to say sorry for the extra wait. Should've just waited in line vs order online everyone doing that got their food first. I emailed the owners and got zero response. Won't be returning.

Good food nut service needs work

Food usually hit or miss but this time my chicken was like it was roasted on a fire for 5 hours it was like eating charcoal

I hardly go to Mobettahs but when me and my family go it’s always so quick, fresh food, good energy, never disappoints.

The lobby is full of door dashers rushing the cashier, no organization whatsoever when it comes to online or to go orders. I think you’d be better served to just eliminate any online ordering. I am now 35 behind my quoted time.

The portions are awful. They seemed to take have taken a page out of Chipotle as far as their portioning with their food items go.

I'm new to Salt Lake and found this delicious Teriyaki location. The meat is cooked to perfection and the Teri sauce is fantastic. Great prices too!

I used to like this place until some clown at the register got snarky with me when I didn't leave a tip. Really, you expect a tip on a take out order that you didn't even have to wait a table for? I've never went back. Tipping is getting out of control now.

First time at any Mo' Bettahs and I really enjoyed it. My girlfriend and I split a 2 meal plate with pig and steak. Everything was really good and tasted fresh. The steak was nice and tender. The POG juice was also really good! Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu....also you should definitely put one of these in Colorado.

This place was amazing! Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. We got the regular plate with 2 meats. The 2 meats we got were steak and pineapple pork. There was a small line but it goes by super fast. Also got the spam musubi and they gave us some teriyaki which was also very tasty. The POG drink was also delicious. 10/10 would definitely come back. Please put some locations in Colorado!

Stopped by for some food. Got the 3 meat meal and there was a LOT of food. Heaped on several helpings of meat, macaroni salad, and rice. Could easily be 2-3 meals.

i ordered the regular plate with teriyaki chicken and kalua pork. the chicken and the rest of the plate were delicious but the pork fell short a bit as there were chunks of fat that were inedible. the staff and the restaurant itself were great!

Attempted to call to place a delivery order but every time I called they hung up. I called Midvale location and they answer quickly and help.

The food is good, we just had a bad experience with a lot of attitude from multiple workers, being impatient, very passive aggressive, and laughing when we were trying to figure our app out. My party and I felt super uncomfortable there and felt the need to leave instead of stay and eat. Will definitely not return to this location but hopefully other locations treat there customers better!

I left so mad yesterday. I waited for 40 minutes after my pick up time. I ended up getting a refund and getting in line to wait. When I got to the front of the line they didn’t have brown rice. I guess my to go order would have just had white rice but they hadn’t made it after 40 minutes of waiting And had not bothered to tell me. I have gone here 3 times. 2 times were horrible experiences. I will never be back even know I do like the food it just isn’t worth it. The manager said if the refund doesn’t go through in 5 days call the store and we will work something out. I don’t think so I will be getting my money back.

This place is always hopping and for good reason. We order here for our whole office often and there’s not a single menu item that isn’t raved about. Takeout orders are always perfect and counter service is always friendly. It’s our favorite spot by far. Thanks!

This place was great! Large portions, quick service and very clean. The shrimp tempura was cooked perfectly! The chicken katsu was fresh and not dried out. I highly recommend this place if you like Hawaiian food. I came with a dozen coworkers and there was almost no wait for all of us to get served

Every time that I come to this store they are under prepped on their food. The Pulehu Chicken is never ready, the teriyak steak and chicken is horrednously dry, the Katsu chicken isnt hot and is has the flavor of an over greased KFC bucket meal. The staff actively argues in front of customers. A dm or gm needs to make a surprise visit and evaluate the staff and get things fixed in here. I spent 20 dollars on a bland and cold meal. This is just poor.

I've been a big fan of Mo' Bettahs for a while now and we decided to get the 12 person meal for a birthday party this past Saturday. The catering order was completed exactly on time and there was excellent portions that fed our entire group. Thank you to the entire Mo' Bettahs SLC crew and especially to Gabby for making sure my order was perfect.

Love Mo' Bettahs. Their food is always so fresh and taste amazing everyone. The Mac salad is my favorite side. My husband absolutely loves the rice with the teriyaki sauce. He's more of a pasta guy but the rice was gone first. 😋 The teri chicken and katsu chicken is amazing. Everything we have had always hits the spot. Thank you for amazing food. 👍👍

Super fast and efficient. They listen when you ask for something other than the norm. And they will not be shy with the sauce if you ask for it.

Food is not bad. Thing that grossed me out was the black marker fell completely into the Mac salad which made the red hair girl scream. Then she continued serving everybody in line that same tainted Mac salad. Super unsanitary.

Dropped by here for dinner. The steak was the BEST I’ve ever seen at a Mo Bettahs and everything else was perfect. I usually feel like I’m skimped on proteins and I don’t feel that way today. Definitely coming back.

Just threw away most of a plate of food that cost $17. All the meat was grisly and gross. The brown rice must’ve been sitting all day because it was rock hard and hurt my teeth… I used to like this place but no more.

You get bang for your buck! $13.99 combo get you so much meat, salad, brown rice and a side of your choice. It's our 2nd time here, we really enjoyed it.

I used to really like Mo Bettahs until tonight, I will never go back. Watched a server scrape three different food items that were incorrectly plated back into the serving bowls. Already reported the health code violation but I would stay away from here unless you want to risk eating contaminated food. Anyone that has a food handlers and cares about training their staff knows that is a huge violation of the health code. 🤢 But apparently Mo Bettahs cares more about saving a few dimes than the general safety of their customers. Management should be fined for teaching their staff to do that kind of stuff. Just stay away, there are other places that take food safety seriously. Not to mention their steak is all the worst stringy fatty cuts that you could chew on for a week. Honestly this place must be close to going out of business if they are pinching pennies this hard. Next on the menu will be expired meat...
