Very bad packaging and missing items. Missing : 2 side hummus 2 side barreh 2 side ground lamb paid paid ~ 160 $ for B.S. will not be back. Don't waste your time and money.

The food was mediocre. Having grown up on kabobs, they were subpar to what I’m used to. I was expecting more flavor with how hyped up this place has been. The fresh bread (not sure if I’d consider that naan) is a nice touch. The yogurt sauce honestly tastes homemade. The hummus was also good. I also ordered the Persian tea which was just regular unsweetened iced tea.

One of my favorite places for kabob. The kabob and rice is delicious, it's easy to order and pick-up from here, and the serve is always good.

Love their kabobs! The baklava is perfect. The hummus is the best.

One of the best Mediterranean food places around. Food was freshly cooked once ordered. You get sauces for meat/salad. Very tasty and fresh. Something for everyone and reasonably priced too!

I don't recommend this based on the price to quality ratio. It's one thing to charge a lot for something with that people crave, but I tried the food and forget I ever had it.

Tellers needs to wait patiently for the customer to decide what they want to order and not rush them because they assume the line is getting longer.

Worth the drive, the lamb is moist and tender and beyond welled season. Worth the drive and money. You will not be disappointed. Plus they seem to be always open

Food was good. The falafel was a bit dry but not bad. This would be a 5 star with homemade sauce and hummus. But, hey, we were happy we stopped in on check in day at the Marriott.

Great koubideh kabob and always great vegetarian meals such as Falafel sandwiches.

I didn’t expect much from a chain restaurant but was happily proven wrong. The food tasted fresh and authentic. The kabobs were juicy. The food came with a choice of yoghurt and bread.

Food was ready when I picked it up. I had a online order. The food was hot, seasoned well and fresh. I ordered the super combo with salad.

I had the Spicy Ground Chicken, with rice, very good, filling and probably healthier than other options.

Good tasting good the only thing I did not like is that they do not make their yogurt anymore, they have a industrialized cup they hand out instead of the home made I guess

Saw on the website the place offers celiac friendly meals and when I went in to order the menu did not have anything I noticed that was celiac friendly so I ask the workers if they are able to provide food for a gluten allergy and they said they didn’t know what I was talking about so never even got to order. If you’re going to advertise celiac friendly the workers should have a clue what it is or what a gluten allergy is and what food is safe or not.

I will probably stop coming here cause of the older guy We placed an online order at their website. Then we arrived to pick up order. And wasnt ready. Then he said he saidni dont see an order so im not giving you food. At this point he isnt wanting to help, nor figure out where our paid order is at. The younger guy cooking actually took time to look for receipt and found our order. Im not even mad about the order not being lost, im more mad that the older guy didnt give two cents that we placed an order and wasn't ready

Food was good. Careful when ordering take out. Not all items were in the bag. When I called back with my order number, it was met with indifference. When you don't care about your customer's, your customer's stop coming.

This is our preferred spot for kabobs, especially the ground lamb kabab, a favorite for my son due to its mild spice level. Occasionally, I hope the falafel could be fresher.

The food was honestly delicious and the mint doogh was great. I didn’t expect it from a counter service kind of place but was surprised. Hand made lavash was a nice touch!

Love the food, BUT there is clearly a problem in this business!! I don’t know who’s not satisfied with his job or is keeping their precious accountant prior to the job “back in the kitchen” that causes an obvious confusion «گیج بازی» however; i am patient enough to figure that out and persistent to order from them AGAIN! Every time that the tall man “VAHID” is not present the staff seem to be confused about their job in the kitchen. Even the nice lady had to apologize for the mistake she didn’t make. Such a pity huh? Good news is this review can be adjusted only if the CONFUSIONگیج بازی is dealt with! (Been served 5 times so far: First time missing drinks/ second time yogurt missing/ today it took 45 minutes to prepare the food that was already prepared! ) i’m presuming it was out pf a simple mistake for now! But what if the management is out for a week? 🙄

First time at this place, great customer service, they were happy to explain the menu.

I was looking for something new and different for dinner and discovered this little gem of a middle eastern / Mediterranean restaurant. There were many choices that made it difficult to decide. They also have large family platters which is convenient when ordering for the entire family. It is obvious this is a very popular place and you need to be slightly patient not only because of other orders in front of you but also because food is prepared fresh. The meats were very tender and full of flavor, taking me back to past trips to the Middle East. Salad was also very fresh along with rice that was cooked to perfection, not hard or mushy. The staff was very friendly and organized as you must be to run a high tempo restaurant. They do take quite a bit of pickup orders as well. I definitely recommend checking this restaurant out in the Sterling Dulles Town Center. It is between Chipotle and the VA ABC.

It’s not hard to put my large chutney in the bag when I order it , get the orders right it’s not difficult , dude working there on his phone lost

You would expect that after several times of visiting here to feed my family of 8 and spending hundreds of dollars on catering for personal events that the customer service would be 5 star but that is not the case. We always ask for no tomatoes in our orders yet open the to-go boxes and guess what, receive tomatoes. The weekday worker is not friendly at all and selective on whom he gives good service to. Whenever we ask for a little extra sauce (we usually have at least 5 different plate orders), we always get grief as if the cost of sauce is subtracted directly from his paycheck. We are disappointed at the lack of customer service when we constantly come here. We will take our business elsewhere from now on.

Food is very delicious and you can full more than enough

Great quality of care here. Counter person helped me understand differences in meats, walked me through the yogurt drink and was all around super pleasant. Clean, nicely laid out.

Good place with some delicious kebob. My meal was great. Lamb was cooked perfectly. Chicken was a little bit dry. Overall, it was a great experience.

I suggest providing training to your front staff to double check orders placed over the phone. During my recent call to place an order, I encountered difficulty communicating with the person who answered the phone. It appeared that the employees at the restaurant do not not speak much English. The person did not repeat my order to confirm its accuracy. When I arrived to pick up my order, the staff member kept asking for my name, which he had obtained from caller ID, causing confusion since I had no idea what he was saying. Unfortunately, there was an error with my order, as I requested meat over salad but received it over rice instead. The staff member appeared frustrated and even angry. To make matters worse, when he couldn't locate my order, he accused me of calling the wrong location. Although the food was decent, the prices have increased while portions have become smaller. I'd go somewhere else or cook at home instead.

The person picking up phones at this location really needs to learn how much mannerism is important in restaurants business when talking on phones specially.

I was on Sunday 3/12/2023 evening. The service was bad, and the seller, when you ask for anything extra, tells you that it is not available, and I will pay him for it. I did not understand why he behaves in this manner and the food is burnt.

We went a little late, but they served us and treat us well. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.

There is no consistency in making their food, whether it's kabob, or Ghormesabzi. Last week I had their lamb shank special which the meat was undercooked and the fava been rice was overcooked and too soft.

I've been eating here with my family for 8 years. It's good.

We got dinner to take out and, as usual, the quality of the delicious kebabs, rice, bread, shirazi salad, and kashk-o-bademjan was great! I need to remember to order much more of the pre-portioned packages of salads and eggplant next time! The portions of kubideh, chenjeh, barrah, rice and bread were more than could be finished, especially, since we all wanted a portion of their beautifully prepared baklava. We'll be coming back a lot more often after this experience.

Customer service at this location is zero out of five. The tall guy at the cashier appears to be the manager or the owner has to learn how to behave with customers.

I ordered delivery from the Sterling store for my brother’s birthday — Moby Dick’s is a favorite of his. But, the order didn’t go through, and the food was never received — the fault not of Moby Dick’s, but of the order and delivery service. It was too late to fix the order that evening, but Freddie at this location more than made up for it. He called me later to apologize and was very gracious. He refunded the cost of the meal *and* said that my brother could call anytime and they’d fill an order at the same cost. My brother ordered a couple of weeks later and was delighted with the food and the service. I recommend Moby Dick’s in Sterling for their service and great food.

Wherever we are in the NOVA area we always look for Moby as our first choice. We’ve probably eaten at almost all of them but this Sterling location is by far our favorite. We are regulars here because of their succulent kabob and fluffy rice. The people that work here, especially Farhad has a smile on his face at all tines! We love this location!

UPDATE: The Ashburn location has also changed their bread. It's fresh dough but no longer made the way it was and is now limp, thin and a bit bland. What happened to the bread?? Ashburn is our preferred location, but this one is actually closer to us, so wanting to avoid rt 7 at rush, I sometimes stop here. The food was good, but the sauces were in commercial type containers w foil lids, unlike Ashburn, and I watched them open the bread from a package, it wasn't warmed or anything and tasted bland w a very processed texture like you'd buy at the grocery. So far the Ashburn location still does their bread fresh on site. I guess I'll just have to battle rt 7 bc this location isn't worth the closer distance.

Came in pretty close to the closing time, but still felt very welcome unlike expectation. Mr Farhad was very nice and communicative, and patient with the obnoxious group that I was with. While making our meals, farhad let us know they don’t have sabzi, but redeemed himself very quickly and substituted it for something else. I would certainly come here again.

This usually is my go to place and always good, except this week when I ordered they stopped cooking their naan in house and I was so disappointed. That was one of the best things. The new stuff is just blah. Please switch back!

Food always has been good, until recently. Would be a 4 or 5 star review if not for the fact that they stopped cooking their naan in house. They buy it and their sauces (and who knows what else) from another company now.

The food is excellent, but the service is horrible at this location. Although I had called ahead for a pick up order , I had keep waiting because the guy behind the counter keep ignoring me. Finally I received my packed food, but no sauce.

It's good food, they've gotten pretty expensive for take out and they changed their bread from what they used to have and it's NOT good.

Very bad service with uneven pricing. Charges are more than price listed. Many kabobs around the area are far better in quality and price. Previously they gave my order to some one from uber and told that they cant do anything to regive my order. If you go there with prices listed on site, prepare to shed a 10 to 20$ more or expect arrogant behaviour when asked for price changes and proper service of food.

How is that after waiting 10 minutes or do for my lamb kabobs, they come out barely warm, and the tomatoes are burnt? I will not be back.

I am redoing my review because Moby’s changed the bread. The new bread tastes like it comes out of a bag. Moby’s bread is a staple of the chain and I can’t imagine why they would they change it. They still have the freshest meat and vegetables in town but I haven’t ordered at all since I found out they changed the bread. It is like cardboard, with no flavor and much heavier than the original. It comes from a bag - not wood-fired.

Very good food and quick service. The location is convenient as well. The restaurant is clean amid all the foot traffic and orders they receive. I am encouraged to continue giving them my money because of a kind, patient, and funny gentleman at the register named Farhad. I would always recommend this location.

Enjoyed my food. Kind of expensive but ok for the area. Dine in room was very cold day I went. Fine overall.

I ordered 5 combo number 2 and a side kubideh, But when i ate the kubideh, they were bland and flavorless like the cook forgot to seasoned the beef. Everything else is great but properly just check the beef to make sure don’t forget the season it.

Great food, it’s one of our favorite places in the area for a meal that tastes like it’s homemade. The moby’s combo and the chicken platter are our favorites.

Came in for the fist time, had to wait at least 7 min to get helped as two different employees talked to a lady about catering options. Then after I ordered my food it took over 15 min to get it. Three others got their food before me and they had ordered after me. I would understand if it was busy but I came in and was 1 of 2 customers.

My dream restaurant. I am on cloud nine whenever I eat here. Chicken...Saffron...Rice, does it get any better. I am so happy this restaurant exists. Parking lot always so easy to maneuver. No stress parking a larger truck.

Ordered the Joojeh kabob (half rice/half salad) & it was packed with great flavors. Portion is a good size, usually tend to have left overs! Also ordered pita bread with hummus & I gotta say the hummus is amazing!!

Consistently good quality with large portions. Go with the half basmati rice, half Mediterranean salad, for your sides along with the combo. I just wish the combo with chicken and lamb was cheaper than $20.
