Found Moe’s on Google Maps, had plenty of great reviews. Had a diverse menu to suit all people in our group. Being from Buffalo, NY, the neighborhood corner bar always seems to be the right choice. It reminded me of being at a bar in the OFW or Kaisertown. Plenty of TV’s if you enjoy watching some sports. Plenty of beers on tap if you’re looking for a place for drinks. The reason we went was for the food though. They had some Polish dishes which kind of surprised me for Charleston. I ended up having the Jerk Chicken Sandwich with a side of pasta salad. The sandwich was great. The chicken was tender and not too spicy. The side of pasta salad was very good and they gave you plenty of it. If you are looking for that neighborhood bar vibe with great food, I would recommend Moe’s Crosstown Tavern

This place is a Charleston treasure. I've been going here since I've been 24(now 49). I've never had a bad experience here. I recommend this place 10x's over

Great tea Great burger, fries, and mozzarella sticks. Nice vibe and awesome decor and music. Decent random parking in the streets behind it.

Food is fabulous, the fresh cut french fries, pasta and hamburgers yum. The staff is awesome as well. 😉

The best chicken caesar wrap you’ll ever have

This was my first visit to this bar, and it immediately gave me the feeling of a place I would love to frequent. The atmosphere was welcoming, reminiscent of the iconic bar from the TV show "Cheers," where everyone knows your name. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I tried the wings during my visit, and they were absolutely delicious. If the other menu items are anything like the wings, then you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. I highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat and a drink. It's a gem of a place with great food, friendly people, and a fantastic vibe.

I had Thai Chilli and another flavor wings. The wings were white. They were not fried well. I didn't eat them. I had chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers were really good.

Well we ended up here because this place was high on the list for burgers. My husband had the black and bleu burger which was very good. The place is small but not overly crowded or super loud. Our service was not good due to not paying very much attention to us or assisting us and took forever to come back and forth. Lastly, I had a cheeseburger that tasted like charcoal, so wasn’t very good which led to throwing up. My experience certainly could had been better.

Still a great place to watch a game and catch up with a friend over a drink, but the quality of (bar) food has gone down a bit over the past few years. Also, they now charge a 10% surcharge for takeout orders. If they posted this new surcharge policy somewhere I have yet to find it. I was caught off guard by this surcharge. Why the surcharge? And why not let people know about it?

Always hits the spot. Undoubtedly the best bar food in Charleston. The buffalo shrimp wrap…. Dear me delicious!

Ugh, what’s happening at Moe’s? Now charging a 10% to-go fee, which isn’t mentioned anywhere I could see. Also, food quality has definitely gone down hill.

This place was recommended to us and we couldn't wait to have a great burger! Well it didn't quite turn out that way... I ordered a patty melt, took about 50 minutes to get to me, but in fairness they were busy, the bread was a little burnt but I figured no big deal until I turned it over to check the other side and it was totally black! Sorry I even hated to let the waitress know, but my husband did, she took it back and shortly another one came out, I just couldn't to eat it, because I didn't trust it simply because the original one was plated with the super burnt side down clearly so I wouldn't notice it! But I did! The fries were awesome, my husband liked his burger and we were fine, all of a sudden the male bartender comes over and asks what was wrong with the burger, I said that I just didn't want it and he asked why, so I tried to explain the above, and said... I took it off your bill, so we thank you we appreciate it, and he flipped! He said... You don't have to pay for anything! in a mean scary voice, we insisted to pay and he repeated the same he had said, basically super rude and stood there as if telling us to leave, so we got up and left! My husband said, he was drunk and I don't think it's a good idea to try to reason with him, and I said, you're right I saw him doing shots with a customer, so not only did he disrespected us, but he also intimidated us and treated us in a way that no one ever should experience! Very demeaning I wanted to cry! Too dramatic for us 60+ year olds! Wish them the best, and thank you anyway. Clearly will never return!

Food was great. I got a bacon cheddar burger with fries, lemon water. My friend got chicken wrap with onion rings. She complained about them being greasy but I thought they were okay. Food was good, just felt like it took a while for us to be waited on and even longer while for us to actually receive our food. Like it was good, but also felt it was warm not, hot like it had been ready for a while before being brought out to us. I asked for my burger to be well done, not burnt. They did a great job with my request. I'd return and try something else!

We randomly jumped into this place as we wanted a nightcap. They had a countdown of 901 days for half-price burgers. I think I will come back on that day!

Great place to go with friends. The sandwiches and burgers are fantastic. They have a wide selection of beer and liquor, so they have something for everyone. Happy hour is also worth coming. I highly recommend traveling here to hang out.

All around amazing. I had the shrimp, fried Mac and cheese, the burger (cooked perfectly) the wings, the quesadilla, even the drinks were good! The service was phenomenal as well !

I've been coming here for over a decade and usually go for the burger and wings (see original review below). Lately, I've been hooked on the Greek salad with blackened chicken. I asked one of the employees where they get the Greek dressing (Sysco or US Foods is what I was thinking). Come to find out, they make the dressing from scratch every week. Never thought I would write that my favorite Greek salad is in a pub...but there it is. I wonder if they could create Greek wings? Original review: Hands down best pub in Charleston. The burger is magical and the wings sublime. The hand cut fries (ask for them spicy) are the best in town.

Our first stop in Charleston, recommended by a local! We had a cold beverage and a hearty meal in the fun local dive atmosphere! We were here on a Sunday afternoon but can imagine a fun party happening here every weekend! Def recommend!

So what a pleasant surprise.From the outside it sure does not look great,but come in the door the wow factor kicked.Great service and cheap drinks.And it gets better.The food unbelievable.My wife and cousin had the Greek veggie wrap,oversized and delicious.The steak salad was fresh and huge.This place would get a 10 if I can give it.Great bartender in a real nice establishment.TN

In comparison to prohibition this bar was leaps better in service, food, cocktails and atmosphere. I recommend to everyone visiting Charleston. Brandon and Hayden took great care of us, even their guests were nice to us. We are visiting from Hawaii and if we lived here, this place would be our go to. Late night eats with huge portions too. Delicious drinks and food and even better service!!

Such tasty food. Greek wrap with Chicken added. Yummy crisp salted hand cut fries. Chill environment and reasonably priced. Service great too.

Awesome sports pub and grill. Great atmosphere if you love sports as you can watch lots of games. Nice place to hangout with friends over beers. Can be really packed. Parking however is limited.

Great spot, wonderful burger and fries, Impeccable service

AWFUL bar staff!!!! Been here many times and it's always been great for lunch. Came to watch football and good gosh! What a disaster! Six people total at the bar outside of us and there are like 15 CVs. Bartender absolutely refused to put on our game at the bar with six TVs in front of us. Said it would be a domino effect and I can't figure out why? There's nobody here. It's OK. Feels like it's going downhill. Smells funky in here. Don't think I want food from a place like this. There's so many good spots in Charleston don't waste your time!

The best burgers in Charleston and in the southeast. My Wife and I will drive 2 hours out of the way to come eat here. Our favorite is the Rutledge Burger with whatever rotating drafts they have on tap. Just a cool place to hang out, watch sports and enjoy some great food while not breaking the bank! Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent sports bar food and atmosphere.

Smaller old school bar, and it really had a comfortable vibe. It is very different from the larger establishments. Decent amount of tables and bar seating with a good number of TVs. The food was good. Had some of their Hot Honey Garlic wings and a BLT burger. Both were fresh and flavorful. My buddy had the Buffalo Shrimp and Fried Mac and Cheese. He said they were good. The guys working in there were friendly, and the customer service was on point. I'm planning to check back in the next time I hit Charleston.

Went here for a playoff game for my team and the waitstaff was very rude to me the entire night. The "sports bar" turned into a place where a specific bartender decided to take out his fan allegiance against me and my fiance. No atmosphere, no focus on customer satisfaction, all pretentious bartenders that think they are the what the world revolves around.

Amazing pub grub. The potato skins with chili are sublime and hands down the best potato skins in CHS. The buffalo chicken caesar wrap is also amazing and highly recommended. Hand cut fries are clutch.

The food was a 0/10 , for starters I ordered pick up and was told it would be 15 minutes which was fine, so when I went to pick up my order no one greeted me or anything and then the waiters proceeded to give everyone fresh hot food while i waited for about 5 minutes then when one the waiters came back she grabbed my box (no bag or nothing) which had been sitting on the counter the entire time (for about 10 minutes). When I got to my car I opened my box thinking I was going to have an nice hot meal but instead I was met with a TOTAL SH!T SHOW!!!! The shrimp were burnt blacker than me, the fries were stone cold and not to mention it was still sh!t sacks in the damn shrimp! -0/10 would not recommend! Maybe if you have a lighter skin tone you will be treated better.

When we asked what was good, we were offered many suggestions. We ordered 12 plain wings with sides of Thai Chile and Jamaican Jerk. Wings were perfectly crispy and delicious. Sauces were both very good, and we enjoyed the celery with Bleu Cheese. The hand-cut fries were nice and crispy. We enjoyed ourselves so much that a couple of days later, we stopped in with another couple. (Ordered wings & fries).

This is bar food done not just right, but WELL. Great burgers, sandwiches wraps and salads. Their buffalo shrimp appetizer is Amazing. Last night I had the buffalo chicken wrap and my husband had the BLT sandwich, both were so huge, we only ate half.

Awesome dive bar in Charleston near Hampton park and the Citadel. Dark, sports bar feel, with incredible bar food. Some of the best wings and sandwiches in the area. Go check them out!

The atmosphere is like a small Irish pub. The bartender's are great and so is the food.

Great neighborhood watering hole!

Ordered Fish and Chips and the meal was horrible. The fish and fries both were cooked till they were almost burnt. It was almost unedible. Food was also cold when I picked it up.

Wow! What a GREAT experience! My Wife, Sister and myself are not from the area and we googled “Burgers & Beer” and Moe’s popped up as #1. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing! We can’t wait to go back!!

We had the fried Mac and cheese bites, they were good dipped in ranch. They were bland without it. We also got a burger and a patty melt. Both were also kind of bland. They only had one person working the counter so it took a bit to get our order in and get our food.

I was only in charleston for a day. Great burger and staff. I doubt there's a better burger in Charleston.

We were tired and hungry after a day of sightseeing and wanted good old pub grub. Moe's was spot on. Great food at great prices in a very cool local dive atmosphere. The BLT burger with mozzarella and a fried green tomato was great. Washed it down with a PBR. My son got a BBQ burger and wolfed it down. My other son had the Bronco wrap and did the same. The bar is small and busy with locals coming in at a steady pace. The bartenders are fast with a drink and service. Very happy to have found Moe's!

Recommended by my son as he's been coming here for years, now recommended by me too! Local neighborhood gem, seems to be very popular with the locals and Citadel students. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food very good and filling. I'm not sure if there is a parking lot so parking could be a problem but we were able to park within a block. Highly recommended and enjoyable experience!

Seriously one if the best burgers I've had. I had the goat cheese poblano burger and dang man, it was good. No fuss, hole in the wall bar and food but totally worth coming to. The fried mac n cheese is friggin yummy as well.

Just the best little tavern around. Stay at one of the Airbnb's on Grove Street and walk right over. Great vibe in this area of town as people are walking, biking, out and about. The good times just flow right into this place. Moe's food is really good and they have a fairly extensive menu. Rutledge Burger and fries, daily specials and wings are all great choices. The staff is cool and the kegs are cold! Grab a stool and stay a while, you will enjoy it!

The place itself was pretty dark but the food was great! Our server recommended spicy fries and they were well seasoned with the right amount of crunch.
