Absolutely amazing bar so chill and filled with wonderful people. Kristen the bartender is definitely a gem. Highly recommend checking it out, they didn't sell food when we were there but had plenty of alcohol :)

Great atmosphere. Very welcoming and great place to hang out before and after a swamp boat tour. Food was amazing.

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted like you’re family, and the hospitality is beyond homely for the entire stay. Mike brought us here for a pit stop before our Swamp Tour adventure and I’m so glad he did. You can walk around NOLA for a week and get lost in the crowds, noise and lights but walking in to the Mona Lisa Lounge is where the true heart of this country is sitting on the barstools and ready to greet you with a smile. I will DEFINITELY be coming back to the Mona Lisa Lounge upon my next visit to town!!!!

This is not a fancy place but the people working and the patrons are the best kind of Americans, good and hard working. My wife and I came in here for crawdads, they were all out so we settled on a dozen oysters and several Modelo beers. The beer prices were great, the grilled oysters were a bit pricey but the cook made up for it by giving is 2 complementary shrimp gumbo dishes, they were very tasty.... We'll be back!!!!

We came here one afternoon in March after a swamp tour and met Mike the chef .. they had Crawfish egg rolls special I loved it personally I thought the egg wrap was done splendidly. Also had fried catfish where I really enjoyed the cornmeal-style breadcrumb. I'm not from the region so it's really cool to get authentic neighborhood food. Make no mistake that this is a dive bar. Complete with pool table, gaming machine and cigarettes. They were very welcoming when I was there, but this isn't exactly a dining experience. My rating is a reflection of what the bar is- for a dive bar with a kitchen in the afternoon, I enjoyed my food and time with the locals.

Wow!!!! If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! My husband and I are staying in Louisiana for the night before going on a cruise for our honeymoon. We asked the hotel concierge for recommendations on where to go for good food and drinks. They directed us to another place and when we walked in, I knew it wasn’t what I was looking for. I went to google maps and stumbled upon this gem and I AM SOOOOOO GLAD THAT I DID! As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted and felt at home! I ordered a drink and asked for a menu, the bartender pointed to a man and told me that he handles all of the food. I went over to him and he was soooooo sweet and kind and glad to make me whatever I desired. Mike is his name. We ordered the crawfish egg rolls and a sausage po’ boy—OMG SOME OF THE BEST FOOD IVE EVER HAD!!!! Mike makes everything from scratch and KNOWS what he is doing in the kitchen. We were lucky enough to meet the owners as well and they were the literal best and so kind and welcoming! Of course I can’t finish this review without mentioning Lisa, our wonderful bartender! The kindest, sweetest, best person that makes great drinks and will never let you go thirsty. Seriously, this is THE BEST bar I’ve ever been to in Louisiana, and I frequent here often. I cannot stress enough, the way that everyone makes you feel at home. The hospitality that we received was superb. I really cannot even say enough good things about this place. It is an experience like no other and there is something so special about it that YOU MUST experience yourself. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, the authenticity of the people, food, and atmosphere is, bar none! The headache that I have today is 100% worth it. The time we had here was probably in my top 3 best experiences at a bar/restaurant and that is saying a lot coming from a long time food industry worker and self proclaimed foodie. Check them out, you will NOT be disappointed.

My oldest son and I were on a road trip, decided to take an airboat tour while in the area. Tony took great care of us, we went to the Mona Lisa to pay our deposit and had a wonderful time.
