Was hesitant to order because of some recent reviews but decided to order anyway. Glad I did it was so good was greeted very friendly and food was delicious ( chicken bulgogi) Kinda pricey but so is everything right now. My portion was large enough for leftovers so it’s worth it! Hidden gem!

I have been eating at Mona's for over fifteen years now. Sad to say, as of 8/14/24, I will not be returning. I normally get the beef bulgogi, which the price has increased severely. I can honestly say, it was horrible in taste, and the decreased in portion for $18.00. I believe it under new management, cause ain't no way in hell, Ms Mona cooked this!

Mona had a small restaurant in South Korea, when I was stationed there in 1976. The food was fantastic, and her place was the hang-out spot for great food and atmosphere. I can glad to see she has brought her great food to the United States for everyone to experience Korea food at the highest level.

Mona!?!?!?! Help!! The restaurant bearing your name has changed tremendously. They no longer provide Combo Bulgogi, and the taste + portion size has decreased. We miss you and unfortunately will not be returning.

Great lunch spot. Along with the authentic Korean fare, they have one of the best cheese steak sandwiches around.

Been going to Mona' for years, but don't know it I will continue! Service was good as usual, but all of my order was incorrect! Never mind paying the price for the food, but the portions have gotten way smaller for the prices they are charging! Got a hamburger (Mcdonald size now) but was given Beef Bolgoli instead of what I ordered! I had to return my whole order for a refund due to given the wrong order and such a small amount of food! For some reason they can't seem to work well under pressure and overwhelmed when having a rush! I don't know the name of the lady who was doing the cooking, but she actually tried to go back and forth and going to tell me what I ordered! I've always had nothing but Mad Respect and Love for Ms. Mona and her family and I Pray that all the hard work and sweat that she has put into her business, it survives being it still maintains her name as well as family! Will I return?🤔

I have been going to Mona's for years. I'm not sure what happened but the taste and portions are off. I got fried rice and chicken Bulgogi which is my normal fare. This time the rice taste completely different with a strange after taste and the portion size for my bulgogi hardly had any rice in it. The chicken pieces where so big. Its loke my food was theown together which has never happened before. Like what happen and where is Mona she wasn't there!!!! I will likely not be coming back if this is how the food is now which is so disappointing since we travel a long way to eat there and the prices are so high! I paid 60 dollars for this!!

I live near Catonsville where there is a large Korean influence shopping area. I have tried many of the Korean dishes but I drive over 40 miles to Anne Arundel county to get the best. And I make the drive frequently. Every effort is made by the staff to know everyone personally. Good service, great food...authentic. The BEST Kimchi!

The beef bulgogi is different this time. The beef and the flavor are off. This trip is not as great as my other trips there. Mona want there, so maybe different hands managing today. Its still my go-to spot when I travel near Ft Meade.

This is a self-service restaurant where you can get a variety of authentic Korean food and a typical American deli food. This is a place you want to go! The staff is friendly, the food is yummy, the restaurant is clean. It is not a highly fancy place but is reasonably nice and decorated with the owner's family pictures that creates a family-friendly ambience. It is located on the main road having a parking lot right next. Since it is situated across from Fort George G. Meade, the service members and their families must try this place!

It’s cash only so be prepared. The food is okay. I will not be coming back because there is better tasting Korean food available. I got beef bulgogi and it’s edible but I was not happy because I’ve had better before, but great service and they close exactly at 5

Got a couple orders of beef bulgolgi and an order of fried dumplings. Very delicious. They even gave a free side of kimchi.

Absolutely delicious had both the shrimp cheesesteak and regular cheesesteak I am sure the rest of what they have is also delicious

Mona's is where you get to pretend you have a Black-Korean grandma that has a second fridge, because she is always cooking for church. When you visit she won't stop feeding you. Spicy bulgogi Philly, maybe throw some kimchi on there? Jjigae with a side of onion rings? Life changing food.

Kind of hard to spot from the road, unless you know exactly where it sits in the long row of small businesses, but it is worth the effort to find. The staff are fast and efficient, taking orders in the restaurant and by phone. The menu prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes, so if you leave here hungry, that's on you. They have traditional Korean dishes and some local fusion type items (e.g. Cheese Steak with Korean beef or chicken on it). I went traditional, opting to eat in, enjoying some kimchi, spicy squid, and fried dumplings. I enjoyed all three, which were properly seasoned and prepared. As of this review, they only accept cash, but there is an ATM nearby.

Don't get the fish sub..cost 15 dollars and one piece of fish...smallest fish sub I have ever seen.

This is not the best bulgogi. (Plus peppers do not belong in it! And glad it was caught before leaving the establishment!) I’ve had way better in Catonsville next to the HMart. The kimchi wasn’t that good either. Only ate it bc I was starving and hubs brought it back for my lunch.

I have no idea, who put MONA’s as Temporarily Closed, but this is not true!!! MONA’’s is open MONADY-FRIDAY from 11am to 5pm and CLOSED ONLY ON Saturday and Sunday!! PLEASE !!! call ahead to order, lines can be long at times.. MONA’s has some of the best Korean dishes/American Food in town with so many options on the menu it is hard to choose from…

Very warming and family friendly staff. I ordered a pastrami sub, beef bulgogi and a chicken bulgogi. Which filled the spot. Ordered everything to go and ate my sub once I reached home. My rice meals hit the spot for dinner. Its a ONLY CASH! establishment the ATM on site is kindda funny. So have cash handy.

The reviews were correct! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere friendly and home cooked it is! I can't wait to return so I can try the cheesesteak! A must - try if you're in the area!

Do you like cheesesteak? Do you like korean food? Do you want the best mashup of the two in the Balt-Wash region? Go to Mona's. Get the cheesesteak with everything and hots. I know they have other things, but I can't resist the cheesesteak enough to try them. Be aware: This restaurant is cash-only, and it does well to call ahead and place your order before. There's an ATM in the dining area if you forget to bring cash!

This place is amazing! They have a ton of options that vary from American food to Korean. They are definitely suited for all sorts of picky eaters and children! The owners are super nice and the atmosphere of the restaurant is super clean and bright. For those who want something kind of normal I would recommend trying the fried shrimp, and for those who want to try one of the Korean options I would strongly recommend their chicken or beef bulgogi!

Very good. Not only good korean, but I also like the fried shrimp. The chicken bulgogi is also very popular, and simple dish. Excellent carryout, and I'll eat there when they reopen their dining area.

Today was my first day actually going inside I usually have someone pick up for me, but my first impression was a very good one. It is very family oriented! I absolutely love it. The lady at the front was very friendly, kind and professional. The store has a very inviting feel and I will continue to support. Oh and the chicken bulgogi is amazing. -Miya

Great food and a friendly atmosphere. The beef, pork, and chicken bulgogi are excellent and the portions are generous.

The Cheesesteak lunch combo is too good. Cheesesteak, fries and a drink is more than enough to fill you up. Bread was crisp, not soaky or drenched in grease. Fries were crunchy and well seasoned. Just a good quick meal to get.

Had the kimchi jjigae and yaki mandu. Both as good as any I had in Korea. Will definitely be back. Call ahead!

Cheesesteaks are phenomenal. A touch expensive but worth it when you want a big lunch. Korean food is apparently even better. Let’s not forget how nice they are there. Great food + great service = a winner.

Had their food yesterday. True, AUTHENTIC Korean food--and I didn't have to travel to Ellicott City! Both the spicy pork and the beef bulgogi are AMAZING. So much flavor and just the right amount of spice. Their yakimandu (fried dumplings) are to die for. So crisp and fresh. So full of flavor. I'm definitely coming back again 🤤 Note to add: they only take cash, but they have an ATM in the restaurant!

Authentic as it gets, this was so good for lunch. Spicy squid was perfect, and they'll make it as hot as you want or need.

The food is great and the service is fast. It's not fancy but it's everything I want in a place to pick up dinner after work or grab a quick and tasty lunch. Bring cash! (There's an ATM inside if you didn't though.)

Great hole in the wall mom and pop place. Food is delicious. They don't take cash but there is an ATM in the lobby, right after the fridge (must be a great place if a bank is willing to put an ATM right in their lobby 🙂). It can get pretty busy, which delays the food coming out, but it's worth it.

Ive been going here for years. The Chicken Bulgogi and yaki mandu are my favorite dishes. Also, I cant stop by without buying a piece of delicious lemon cake. The cheese steak is pretty good too. Definitely a great spot for Korean food.

I'm really torn Because This was my first experience and the food was really good so its one of those times were I want to keep this place as my secret but it just would not be fair. Freeking amazing food. Do not be surprised if monas will be on DDD food network. I said it first..remember that.

I love Korean food especially kimchi Jjigae (Korean Soup). I also get the number 11 which is the noodles beef bulgogi and rice. It’s been a go to of mine for years whenever I have a minute after work to stop and pick up my order and go!

I was only in Korea for a year. And my favorite part was the food! Tastes so nostalgic. Mona's food is by far the best Korean Gourmet Food in the DMV!!

Portion size is good for the price. The food was authentic and tasty. A good take out counter with seating for a few small groups of 2 to 4.

I honest love the food, but their hours of operation are awful. Often says their open only to go and find out they’re not.

Only thing I get from here is the Chesesteaks.

The food is really good & the people who work there are great. Few tables and chairs for those who choose to dine in, but they only accept cash, so plan ahead.

After finding this place, there seems to be Korean restaurants popping up all over the area, but I always come back here. The largest portions for the least amount of money in the area and completely family owned and operated. The bulgogi may be a different style than some may be used to, but it is excellent just the same. I go here regularly.

If your missing Korean food then Mona’s is the place to go. Kimchi is awesome, Bulgogis is hot and fast. Nice people too.

Great food! I always get the Korean food, it's truly delicious and way better than the place next door. They have a more authentic taste, especially the kimchee is always seasoned right.

We ordered thru Uber Eats and had it delivered to the hotel. The order was perfect upon arrival with all the requested condiments, plates,etc... The soups were incredible and the main course was amazing also.
