It was a little odd at first, as it's literally an old house from the 1880s or 90s, but it was cool getting to tour the house. The food is really good, and the people there are very warm and welcoming. I will definitely visit again!

I stopped by today and met Mona and she was so nice and courteous. The Tabouli salad was absolutely to die for. Could not recommend this spot enough!

Delicious and healthy menu in a lovely homestyle dining setting. Don't let the unassuming facade of this two-story home fool you. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is located in the former Guilford Station Arts Club. There's still an antiques shop upstairs, but in the main dining area, you are treated to mouth-watering, authentic, made from scratch Lebanese cuisine. Notes of soft Middle Eastern music fill the air as scents of cooked spices and herbs in classic dishes tease your senses. Reasonably priced and tucked away in Sterling. There is seating for small and larger groups. Mona also caters. My party ate so quickly we forgot to take photos. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

This place is AMAZING! The best hummus, tabouli, dolmas, falafel, and Lebanese food I’ve ever had. The food was spectacular across the board. Rice pudding was just the right amount of sweet, with rose water: it was amazing. Great service. Mona does an excellent job of making you feel welcome and feeding you delicious food. The house is an 1860’s house with antiques for sale. The atmosphere is awesome! Very comfortable and cool dining experience. Authentic Lebanese food with music playing in the background. Highly recommend it! Great prices too. Do it! You won’t regret it!

Fresh made food!! I have done take out and sit down here. It is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in Northern Virginia. The business is in a quaint old house with amazing antiques and Lebanese music playing in the background. The owner is a lovely person who obviously takes great pride in her product.

As a Lebanese American , I'm thrilled to stumble upon a genuine , locally-owned small restaurant that serves authentic lebanese menu. While it may be a bit on the pricier side, the quality is evident in the taste. I usually enjoy cooking at home, but this place makes me feel like I’m home away from home!

This was genuinely one of the best meals nice had all year. 2 weeks ago we dined at a Michelin star restaurant and I’ll confidently say that my food at Mona’s today was was more flavorful, heartfelt and cared for than anything I’ve had in a long long time. Please do yourself a favor and give this place a shot!

My husband took me here for a date night and we loved it! The food tasted so fresh and Mona was incredibly welcoming. We were even able to buy some of the high quality olive oil that she uses.

We absolutely adored this charming family-owned restaurant! My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting for lunch today, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like we were welcomed into a Lebanese family’s home. The food was incredibly authentic, and the owner, Mona, was exceptionally friendly, as were all the staff. What truly enchanted us was the exotic atmosphere. Upstairs, there’s a fascinating antique store with a delightful collection, all curated by Mona herself. It’s definitely worth a visit if you have the time. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to make the exterior sign more inviting. At first glance, it resembled an ordinary house, and we almost hesitated to go in. But once inside, it was a delightful experience!

Hubby and I stopped in for an impromptu date night and we had an excellent time! This restaurant is tucked away on a back road but Google maps takes you right to the parking lot. This was such a cozy and unique experience that I'd love to repeat over and over again! Food was amazing and had great flavor. I loved that we could watch Mona do her magic in the kitchen from where we sat. She even made a point to come and talk to us while we ate which made us feel so special and like part of the family. I already can't wait to go back and have been dreaming about the hummus.

I don’t know where this gem has been hiding all my life, but it’s a keeper! Delicious falafel and hummus, AMAZING baba ghanouj, and hubs said his chicken shish taouk was pretty darn close to his fave spot overseas. Affordable for the portion size I think, too. Give them a try!

Nice people but the place is not really clean they need to clean it more and the food is not so bad and very very expensive.

Tucked away in a historic house near a beautiful church this place is a little hard to find but worth the effort. If you are looking at the church, turn around. The hours are limited (Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 5) so you may have to leave work early, your boss will understand. The owner and chef is friendly and the setting is beautiful. I decide to get Mona’s platter so I could sample a variety of food. It was well prepared a delicately seasoned. This would be a great place to bring a date and make a great impression. I will be back soon to sample more delicious recipes.

The most amazing hospitality and Lebanese food in northern Virginia. It is going into a Lebanese mothers kitchen where the food is always fresh and you feel like you’re at home. Mona’s is the BEST!

A bit expense for the quantity of food received - but ok considering you're supporting a small business. Everything was good, except for the hummous with meat which seemed to have ground beef on top and was pretty greasy. I would try Mona's Cafe again though if I was in the area!

It's always a great experience at Mona's Lebanese Cafe. Great couple that provides great food, service and hospitality. The setting is a nice little farm house that feels like you are eating at grandma's house.

Mona's food is tasty the tea with roses is excellent. We tried the Mona's plate it comes with grapes leaves, hummus, bread, tabouleh is a goos option if ypu wantva little bit of everything. We also ordered the kibbe. It is located in a house so once you get there do not get confuse look for signs at the door.

If you want home cooking this is the place to go. Fresh home cooking.

Wow. What an intimate authentic incredible Lebanese experience. You truly feel as if you are having a special meal at your grandmothers home. The food was delightful and clearly 100% homemade. And the baklava was some of the best I have ever had! Go with an open mind & empty belly and you will not be disappointed!

The decor is fantastic and the food is great as well. The place has a homely feel to it, the waiter was friendly, and the food was priced well.

What a fun experience! The restaurant is situated in what felt like a historic home. It was like time traveling for a while. Upon arrival, there is sign that encourages you to go say hi to Mona in the kitchen which is in the back of the house. Reminded me of my childhood days when we would drop by grandma's house and we would find her in the kitchen. The lentil soup and Baklava were DEVINE! In addition we ordered Mona's platter and the Kafa to share and it was plenty. All the food was savory and well worth the trip to her establishment. Mona and her assistant were warm, welcoming and friendly. Don't go starving though as there might be a little bit of a wait between arrival and getting your food but you can check out the house (including the 2nd floor while you wait). CHECK IT OUT!

First time ordering and I was very excited to try their sandwiches. I ordered beed Shawarma and Chicken Shawarma, very disappointed the chicken shawarma pure was very strong, and the amount of meat was very little, the beef Shawarma you can count on how many pieces they put. I spend $26 for this!! In addition the grub hub delivered food very cold.

We stumbled upon Mona’s Lebanese Cafe yesterday for lunch and we immediately felt at home. The food was delicious and healthy, the service was exceptional and Mona was a delight to meet :) This beautiful cafe will definitely be our family’s go to!

Wonderful hidden gem we found after a hike along the Potomac. You can tell authentic Lebanese by their Baba Ganouj and this one is fantastic. We asked Mona and she says it has to be smoked as it’s cooked. The grape leaves were luscious and the falafel cooked to crispy deep brown perfection. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal or take something to go!

We had a fun lunch of grape leaves, beef and chicken shawarma platters and baklava. Everything was delicious.

With amazing delectable staples like hummus and baba ghanoush, Mona's is a go-to place for those tired of run-of-the-mill places tossing some chichi peas in the cuisinart and roasting an eggplant. Mona brings special texture and subtle flavors only found at the best of "Moms" home cooking- those home cooks who kick it up a notch and make it their unique and special own dish... you know these women. It's always with a grateful heart and stomach that I find them owning their own restaurants. Her meat pies were perfection!! I'll be back... maybe today, as writing this review wants me tasting from get menu again! It's tucked behind a church on a side street of a main road, with its own gravel parking lot. Entry is on the side, with a small outdoor seating area on the porch. Beautiful interior. Not sure if she's offering indoor dining during COVID, i picked up to-go.

Highly recommended for anyone who would like to experience A piece of Lebanon with beautiful American touch resulted by an amazing friendship that takes you in a small tour inside a townhouse looking restaurant full of art and the melody of Lebanon and the taste of food that is cooked from a Lebanese hand which allows you to feel like you are in a Lebanese house and American standards at the same time , make sure you Call ahead of time if you feel like eating something specific and special and she will be more than happy to prepare it for your occasion or for your next day visit

The ambiance is truly unique. It is set away from the commercial areas in a house. Stepping inside you feel like you are back in the 70s. As for the food, it is mediocre at best. Our pita break was clearly reheated & burned at the edges. The kibbeh was cold & definately not fresh. When we mentioned this to the waiter he told us it was fresh. Really buddy? The hummus didn’t taste like authentic hummus either. I’m not sure what the hype is about but this place is definately priced higher than the competition with Mediocre quality.

Mona’s Cafe is a family run business featuring genuine Lebanese cuisine in a homey, historic (1900) setting. There are tables throughout the house where you can select the time on and atmosphere of your choice. Her Mezza appetizers are fabulous, especially the hummous, Baba Ghannouj, stuffed grape leaves, and spinach bites. Highly recommend this small jewel box cafe and its expansive, generous owner! This is a hidden gem in Sterling. The food is artfully prepared, and I've never had better middle eastern fare. It's a pleasant setting, in a comfortable and quaintly decorated old home. From the hummus and baba ghanoush to the baklava and rice pudding, and all the entrees, every bite was a delight!

Needed to find a place equidistant between Leesburg and Bethesda. Came across Mona's on the internet. Looked good. But then all the menus for Lebanese food are 98% the same. So we were anxious to try it. You have to understand, we have two standards: our mothers and other Lebanese places we have tried. On both counts, Mona does a great job! We had lunch and shared baba ghanouj, lentils/rice (moujadra), green beans in olive oil, lubna, olives, and chicken and beef shawarmas. All were very tasty, prepared well, and made us want to come back...with our families. Good service. Only drawback is the lack of fresh baked Lebanese bread which is scarce these days...you need a great oven...or my mother.

Well seasoned and fresh ingredients and delicious selections make Mona's worth finding.
