Great food and great service. What more can you ask?

Montalcino Ristorante Italiano offers an exceptional dining experience. We started with a delicious array of mixed appetizers, followed by the Sacchetti con Cinghiale for the first piatto—richly flavored and expertly prepared. The halibut for the second piatto was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The excellent wine selection complemented each course perfectly. The very friendly staff added a warm, personal touch to the meal, making it a truly memorable evening. For authentic Italian cuisine, Montalcino is a must-visit.

Tried lobster ravioli with tiger prawns and Pasta alla champion. Food was great!

This is a small intimate restaurant with only 12 tables or so. Everything about this place was magnificent! I went with my wife and another couple. All of our meals were exceptional, the bread was to die for and the deserts were on another level! Our server was Louis, service was impeccable! Can’t recommend this hidden gem enough, you won’t regret !!

Holy Italian food. I just got back from Italy and I can honestly say this was better than food in Italy. New favorite restaurant!!! The short ribs ravioli?! 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 mmm so good. I want to try everything on this menu now! The owner came up and introduced himself and the atmosphere, servers, everything was phenomenal. Michelin star worthy!

Lovely little Italian restaurant in Issaquah! We live in Renton and find ourselves driving to Seattle for good Italian so we’re thrilled to find a gem closer. The food was great, lobster tail ravioli and the lamb shank 🔥 The owner was very friendly and checked on us, service was phenomenal as well! We’ll be back

This restaurant is the Italian gem of the Eastside. The food is excellent and like traveling to Italy each time you walk in the door. This is a place where memories are made. I definitely recommend you come and find out for yourself.

Montalcino never disappoints! Every dish is awesome, service is top notch and the entire team is friendly. The owner is warm and inviting and he goes out of his way to make you comfortable and expresses his appreciation for you coming to his restaurant. It is a wonderful, quaint setting. We are planning a once a month date night at Montalcino!

Small, quiet establishment with superior food and service.

Got to enjoy this wonderful gem for the first time tonight. It was way better than even my highest expectations. Service was outstanding, staff were knowledgeable, and food was superb! Go here and you will not regret it! My absolute favorite dish was the Sacchetti al Cinghiale. The complex flavor profile and divine texture were out of this world and the best pasta dish I have ever had!

Went here for a birthday with a friend. The service was horrible. They ignored us, and had to flag down our server for everything. There was larger party at the time. So they obviously paid more attention to them. But they still should have done the basics for us like asking if we want more drinks or dessert. Crazy.

After going here since 2018 the place has gone down hill mainly food quality. Was there yesterday with my mom and both were throwing up 1 hour later. It's a shame because it used to be my favorite spot.

I made reservation to have a nice dinner with my wife. When I got there they placed us just in front of the entry door on a cold day. We asked to get another table and the waitress could not accommodate. So sad to plan a dinner and the business has no adequate space to serve customers. The waitress was inconsiderate and did not offer to wait for another table availability. Great deception, I am not coming back in that place anymore. By the way the table reserved and the door were like 3 ft’s apart and a lot people coming and going. That table should not even be there . At a minimum they should make you aware that this is the table you reserved before. When dining out the goal is not to have a worse place then your home. I want to have a nice dinner in a nice environment . Update after reading the response: two things can remediate this, at time of checkin offer an alternative, even if it means to offer to wait to get an different place, or at reservation time make the person aware of table placement.

This restaurant is quaint, and the chairs are horribly uncomfortable, for the prices, you would think they could invest in some better seating.

Owner greeted us as we walked in and as we left to hear about our experience. Ordered lamb shank, meat ravioli and homemade cannolis -- everything was delicious! We'll be back and definitely recommend this place!

Went in to celebrate our friends birthday and had excellent service throughout our dining experience. We were in a bit of a rush but they were very accommodating. The food was excellent and delicious and we would definitely come back for more!

The place looks ok, however, it took over an hour to get our food. It makes sense why the waiter would ask if you want wine so you can forget about the looooong wait time. The food was about a 2 star, nothing special, had to check with the staff on the status of it. If you have time to spare and you’re not hungry then for sure come, but if you are pressed on time and hungry, then please be advised of this, and you might feel some type of way about having to tip, since it’s already included. No need to reply to this, thank you.

A hard pass. While the service staff was very prompt and kind, the food was not much to write about. The pastas are all drenched in sauce. The lemon chicken dish was so sour. They should be ashamed to serve the appezier bread,it was so stale, dried out and looked like sliced white bread from the grocery store. The food lacks finesse. The ambiance is a bit forced. The place is so small that you feels the tables are on top of each other. There is no privacy and the chairs were uncomfortable as you sank into fake leather chair from early 2000s. Expected more from this "fine dinning experience"

The restaurant atmosphere was intimate and relaxed. My boyfriend says this was the best restaurant he has been to in a while and he’s very meticulous. He said they had a lot of nice touches to the dining experience. This restaurant is a perfect place for a date or celebration. There are 8 tables in the restaurant so everyone is well care for. I certainly felt attended to and had a very pleasant experience. I left full, relaxed and my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thank you to the staff! 10/10

My absolute favorite restaurant of all time. The gorgonzola pasta is just amazing! The service is top notch and everything is prepared perfectly every time. This restaurant is an extra special experience with an intimate atmosphere. Reservations are the way to go since it is small and they don't often have openings for walk ins. Been coming here for a while now and I still love it. This is my favorite restaurant ever.

Excellent food but odd food delivery. Appetizer comes out after salads, first course comes out with second course. Odd that the menu would list courses one way and then have them served another way. Like trying to be Italian but not being Italian. We had the shrimp and scallop appetizer which was delcious. The green salad was large and could be shared. The halibut was superb and the penne pasta with vegetables and sausage was very tasty. Desserts were a great finish.

Super good, Coming from an Italian Family this is pretty close to what I had growing up and the best Lamb I've had in a restaurant (Nothing compares to mama's cooking) and over all good. Expect to spend here.

My wife and I went there several years ago it was nothing short of amazing. Took two of our friends there last night and was a bit disappointed with our choices for dinner. Won't go into details but wasn't the same experience as the first time with the food or service.

I love their beautiful building style of red bricks, and they got some of the best Italian food around! When I did not like my first dish they happily changed it for me!

Reservation a must! This is probably a new favorite restaurant in Issaquah and top 5 Italian restaurant that we have visited in the PNW. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs, my glass was never empty. We ordered the insalata di cesare, sacchetti al cinghiale, lobster ravioli with tiger prawns, and a bottle of chianti. My mouth started watering when thinking about all the delicious food. Highly recommend!!

The service, food and presentation were amazing. Not to mention this is the best Italian food I’ve ever had. You will want to make a reservation. There is no room inside to sit and wait. And parking is not always easily available. We parked 2 blocks away, but the food and service are worth it. Kids are welcome although I’d recommend saving this place for a date night. You’ll appreciate it more! This will become a regular date night for us!

If I could give this place 10 stars for service alone, I would. The staff here are so kind and attentive. Especially, Riesa (I believe that is her name) who greeted us and chatted with us when we arrived and later when we were getting ready to leave. My husband and I were blown away at how the staff greeted each patron and truly asked about them. You could tell that many of the people were regulars. Aside from the service, the food was also top notch and the portions generous. Well worth every penny. We will without a doubt be returning to try the dishes we couldn’t and some of their Italian wine, which we couldn’t enjoy this time because we gave it up for lent. We left with our bellies full of amazingly delicious food and our hearts warm. We will without a doubt be returning and recommending this place to family and friends.

I love Italian food. My wife and I went to this restaurant with our daughter and her husband. It may have been among the best meals I have had in a long time. The flavors were wonderful. It is a small restaurant, with a great atmosphere and friendly and efficient staff. I had a Lemon Chicken Carciofi, with a cream sauce, asparagus , and artichoke . My wife had a stuffed tortellini that she said melted in her mouth. Salad was crisp and tasty. And, the deserts topped off a wonderful meal.

Once you step through the door you will know an amazing experience is about to happen, first the staff is attentive, detailed and so friendly. There are no words I have to explain the food because it just made me speechless and so was my tastebuds. The owners are wonderful and are working hard every day to make sure every visitor has an excellent experience.

This restaurant wll provide you with a wonderful experience. The food is prepared with care and the results are great. The service is unmatched in the area. I really suggest you try the charcuterie board.

Montalcino Ristorante is an intimate restaurant with fantastic food and service. I highly recommend it for a special occasion or everyday upscale dining.

This was our second time dining at this restaurant. The first time was phenomenal. The second time was equally fantastic. How often does that happen? This truly is a great gem in a really cute town. The place is small and cozy. The servers are attentive. The food is off the charts good. Gorganzola Chicken and Pasta for me!

I dine here frequently It is truly one of my most favorite restaurants However most unfortunately last night was an off night for food I had two of my usual and favorite dishes The pasta gorgonzola was totally bland Not rich with lumps of the cheese as usual The server tried very nicely to make it better with more sauce and cheese brought to table but it missed The cheese seemed a lesser quality Then the pasta Lobster saffron was equally off the pasta was fine but the lobster way overcooked and tough Too bad to ruin such a delicate and usually delicious dish

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner and our server was fantastic. We even splurged for dessert and the cannolis were so good!. We did takeout here pretty consistently during Covid when the restaurants were closed and the food was fantastic then too!

We celebrated our Anniversary here and it was amazing. Very romantic and authentic atmosphere. The food was divine and the service was so genuinely kind. They made sure everything was perfect for our evening!

Five stars for everything but I have two small critiques. The chair I was sitting in needs the seat fixed and the Peronis were fresh bit not crisp. Green bottled beer seems hard to come by on the west coast. The staff are great and friendly and the food is bursting with natural flavors. Easily my favorite restaurant in Issaquah .

One of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Servive was beyond outstanding from our waiter, Luis.

First, Caesar Salad with anchovies. Dressing was not as memorable as others I've had. We had the lobster ravioli and the seafood pasta Mare, possibly the best pasta dish I've ever had! Cannoli and pistachio cheesecake for dessert. Luis??, our server was terrific. Great atmosphere.

What a surprise find! We had never eaten here before but we will absolutely return, and soon! A small, intimate restaurant atmosphere with exceptional food and service. We tried the lobster ravioli and a special item not on the menu (sea bass). Both were exceptional and probably one of the best Italian we have had. The service was also splendid.

The food and service is excellent, it has become our favorite place for special occasions. Warm, cozy and welcoming. It reminds me of small family run bistros in Italy. Highly recommended for special occasions.
