So glad we stopped in! Chef/owner is so welcoming! She bounces around table to table checking in! Food was amazing! Fresh ingredients/great presentation. We brought our puppy so we sat outside. They even accommodated our puppy! I wish I took pictures of the food! It was so delicious! We ate it right away! We will definitely be returning! Bonus points- chef Asia is a dog lover! She has multiple dogs that she adopted! Most with special needs! That takes an angel! Thank you for all you do!

We had the pleasure of going our friends wedding anniversary party here. The long center table is great for a group dining experience. Food is delish with a nice twist of flavors.

Does it get any better? Love this place!! You have to love all the selections Chef Asia has to offer. Quite impressive when you order, Chef Asia brings it to you with a smile and describes what you ordered! Also I learned that all of her employees are happy to be there! That speaks volumes about her business! Also dog friendly! If you call ahead you can bring your pet to the outside deck! My new favorite place to enjoy!!

This was a great dining experience. The food here was delicious. We were seated promptly at 5pm because that's the time it opens on a Friday so we sat outside for a few minutes. During that time we had front row seats to a car collision but no one was rushed to the hospital. The interior decor is very much my vibe with all the handmade artwork everywhere. The staff here were very friendly and professional. There is no parking so we were able to get a street side parking spot not far away. I wish the tacos were bigger but they were good. I am looking forward to going back again soon.

One of the best meals I've ever had in Boston. It is an absolute crime that I went five years without eating at Moonshine 152. The chef brought out every dish and chatted with us- it was unreal service. We dinned for my birthday, and every dish was delicious. They were kind enough to gift a birthday dessert with a candle too. We sat on their patio which was lovely, you don't feel like you're sitting on the road which is lovely. Their cocktail with boba was UNREAL, so unique and fun. The crab rangoons were the best I have ever had. Highly recommend the beet and caramelized onion dip, fish tacos, and the crab rangoons. We already picked out what we will order the next time we go! I was impressed with the amount of vegetarian options, and how many could be made vegan.

Another excellent meal!!! I try something new each visit and am never disappointed. The cocktail selection is always very unique too. The Moonshine cocktail is a new favorite!!

Friendly and charming locale. The food is a delicious mix of comfort, boldness, and flavor. We had a great time and enjoyed all the food and drinks! A go-to spot I would recommend to anyone!

Moonshine 152 never disappoints! Went here with a group of 8 of us, 4 of which had never been there before and everyone loved it! Food service was very quick once we put in our orders and everything tasted great. There were a lot of specials on the menu that my table enjoyed. We started with a slew of appetizers (party tots are to die for) and everyone raved about the chicken wings! I keep coming back to Moonshine and that certainly won't change. Already craving more Korean BBQ tacos!

Chef Asia Mei (from Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay) has built an amazing dining experience. I was looking for something away from the main tourist area around Seaport and this Asian fusion restaurant fit the bill. Great vegetarian and meat dishes, great service and great value. The Mac and cheese ball appetizer is amazing. Will be returning when I’m back in Boston. Check it out before word gets out!

My first Brunch and it was spectacular! Asia and staff are so kind and welcoming. Food was to die for! French toast “Asia” style was the best I have ever eaten! All food was fabulous!

Every time we visit Moonshine we’re consistently blown away by the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. They’re so welcoming to our kids, making sure they have what they need and engaging them in conversation. Chef Asia is as nice as they come, and the menu she puts out is inventive, flavorful, approachable, and excellent. Moonshine is a must!

Wow, going back, and then back again. The food was great, the flavors of everything made you wish for a second stomach. Also we felt like home, Asia gave us, an experience that it will be tough to beat. Food ordered: Wings Watermelon salad Steak frites Chicken and waffles Butterscotch pudding

Can't say much that hasn't already been said. Superlative restaurant. Great Southie vibes, and everything was perfect. The owner/chef stopped by our table several times and was a most gracious hostess to us and everyone else there that night. Her front desk and serving staff were equally wonderful. I enjoyed everything the folks who brought us there suggested and especially enjoyed my Ron Swanson. If this were in my immediate home neighborhood, I would never ever write such a good review because I would be afraid (what would be) my go-to place might get discovered and be too crowded to ever get into. Highest recommendation!

They have the most delicious waffle I have ever eaten. Bacon and eggs were good. The service was impeccable. Looking forward to going back.

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Moonshine 152, and I had been looking forward to it the whole week. We sat at the outdoor patio, which was a little smaller than I expected but still really nice, weather was perfect. I got the lamb ramen to start and shared it, and goodness gracious it was one of the best ramen dishes I have ever had. I also got the lamb meatballs (and dipped them in the ramen broth) and it was incredibly delicious, almost mind-blowing levels of flavor. The jalapeño crab rangoons might be the best I've ever had. I got the chicken and waffles, which were really really good but I wish there was 20% more waffle and 20% less chicken. Crisped to perfection nonetheless. We also got tacos (excellent) and the pulled pork quesadilla which was also unfathomably delicious. While the food and atmosphere was fantastic, I would rate this experience in 11/10 due to Chef Asia's personal touch. She came out and greeted us, brought us some of our food, and was just awesome. Her food is fantastic and she is too. Can't wait to come back here soon.

Wonderful place with amazing food!!

Variety? Unique takes on food? A chill Vibe? This is definitely the place you need to visit then. Moonshine 152 provides an easy-going vibe with the bar right there with games going on to stalls where you can have a dinner. I give the place an EASY 5/5 because those wings are mind-blowing. The experience taking a bite and it literally SLIPS off to this day shocks me. Traveled the world, been to all sorts of restaurants and nothing recreates that one moment for those tender wings. Other than that, definitely just snoop a reservation as it gets busy. Known for their unique takes on food you will have a new experience with every dish for the most part. Service is straight forward and satisfying. Give the place a look just for the wings, it's worth it.

THE most unique and creative menu in South Boston. Chef AsiaMei is so creative and so welcoming when you come into her restaurant. The bartenders are great, friendly, funny dudes who have tons of recommendations. The highlight of our time in Boston.

We so enjoyed our Sunday brunch on the patio. Our server, Kim, provided beyond excellent service to us and also our pup. Chef Asia personally delivered several of our plates and dog cookies too! The menu options are unique, well composed and offer a bit of everything with a hint of Asian inspired flavor. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

An outstanding meal. This restaurant is a hidden gem where you will not be disappointed. The flavors were amazing.

This is a must for locals and visitors, the place is so incredibly good: the menu invites you to try new combinations of common and unusual ingredients, there is art everywhere (made by chef Asia) which adds to the atmosphere and the service is swift, kind and attentive. We had the chance to have Sandra and chef Asia to facilitate the experience that day and was so beautiful to meet them. Food: I don't get easily surprised by food but this place definitely took my dining experience to a whole new level. Lemongrass soup is something that felt like an embrace to the soul, easily one of my favorite soups to this day. Duck tacos were delicious, I couldn't believe it was duck (meat was cook to perfection) and a taco well done outside México (as them in a lettuce wrapif you are gluten free, since they use corn-wheat tortillas). Patatas bravas were not super great.

The food is incredible every time whether I order a new item or not. You can tell so much love goes into each dish Chef Asia is so passionate and usually hand delivers each dish. Brunch is out of this world as well 🤤 Thanks Asia!!! The staff and vibes are also amazing 10/10 recommend 🥰

Amazing food and service. Each fish we ordered was unique in taste and flavor. Caramelizad onion and roasted beets dip was delicious - I would go back just for that. The crab bao is inspired. Chef Asia not only checked on us a couple of times but also brought some of the dishes to the table

It's not very often I'm surprised, but this place is a gem! The food wasn't just good, it was "clever". The combination of flavors was "genius". I was expecting a conventional restaurant. This is half restaurant, half bar. And it was filled with happy and satisfied customers. Staff were smart, efficient and attentive. It's worth going out of your way for if you want to taste something special!!!

Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had through and through. Chef Asia came out and was extremely nice. All the staff was nice and the bacon bites and chicken and waffles were 2 of the best things Uber ever had to eat. A hidden gem that deserves more traffic.

Moonshine 162 has a creative menu and serves up some delicious fusion dishes, like the Messy Hot Honey Chicken Sliders which takes a classic southern dish and adds a bit of international flair with a Korean Gochujang sauce and Asian pickles. Plus, the staff are friendly and the vibe is fun. It's very close to the Cambria hotel and not far from transit. I would like to go back to try a few more of the menu options next time I'm in Boston, and if you should definitely check it out.

Loved two (2) out of the (3) appetizers we ordered. The bacon wrapped stuffing and crab bao were phenomenal dishes. Please always serve those dishes. The shrimp and crab dip was okay; felt it was mayo-heavy. Overall very good and enjoyed our drinks as well.

It was my son's choice to get dinner there. He has been looking at it as the best-fried chicken 🍗 I remembered Bacon Wrapped Stuffing. It got impressed us. And the Chief of the kitchen has brought for us all meal. IMHO, I didn't get the main idea of the restaurant. It's not Asian and American cousin and seats like in Diners but you have to try it and get a personal opinion.

Great food and drinks, the menu was full of wonderful, unique items and notably for me - great vegan options. Loads of flavor, great spice (especially in the shishito peppers!). 8 of us at dinner and everyone had something different and enjoyed it. The tofu tacos and mushroom burger were a great combo for me! Nice of the chef to even come by and check on our meal, rarely see that at a restaurant these days.

Tapas style is my favorite and every single dish we tried was amazing!! The soft shell crab boa buns were to die for! Not only was the service top notch the chef was actually delivering food to the table. A must try when in Boston!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Sadly this review isn’t for the food or atmosphere, since they left a voicemail message to cancel our reservation on us with one week’s notice. We had booked the reservation months ago, and they claimed a “conflict with the reservation system” was the cause. No solutions were offered, just a message telling us they were sadly not honoring the reservation. They wanted me to call them back to hear it again apparently. The only thing worse than blaming your mistakes on potential customers is asking them to take time to call you about it. Sure, I’ll be in touch at my earliest convenience… Maybe you’ll get a table here, but until you’re seated I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Chef Asia is incredible! Her creations are delicious but it's her personality and service that won us over. She was attentive and considerate and even gifted us a dessert as a congratulations as we were celebrating a graduation. A wonderful chef for sure! We were glad to have come here. Highly recommend party brussel sprouts and the birria tacos and Korean BBQ tacos. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding is AMAZING. Ribbon carrot cake was also delicious.

My favorite spot in Boston. I try to go every time I am in town. I brought a few coworkers and they said it was their favorite dining experience in Boston ever. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly, the vibe is a neighborhood hangout and Chef Asia is a joy to be around. My only negative is that it is in Boston so I can only go when I am in town for work. Guaranteed great night out.

With the Moonshine team crafting up a specialty burger every single month, their menu always offers something new and interesting to explore. 2. The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful. Every time I stop by for dinner, I make a new friend. 3. Chef Asia Mei really pours her heart and soul into delivering a top-notch experience. Anytime I have visited, she has taken the time to deliver at least one of our dishes and say hi to us. This personal touch elevates Moonshine from just being a tasty neighborhood restaurant to a must-try Michelin star experience!

Chef Mei brought us several of the dishes out herself which was special. The Belgian waffle with strawberry ice cream and berry coulee on their dessert menu was the best thing I’ve eaten in some time.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Chef Asia’s food epitomizes the heart of true fusion: a beautiful marriage of flavors and influences that co-creates a sum greater than their parts. This innovative, skillful approach to food is something I’ve known exists but haven’t yet found in dare I say all of New England. Moonshine is locally rooted, globally inspired, with street food-level accessibility yet top tier-level finesse…and some extra flair from the chef to boot. I’ve taken two separate parties back there for brunch within a couple months of my first visit. Everything here is tried and tested - but PLEASE get the phoritto!

Decided to give this place a try based on TripAdvisor reviews and wasn’t disappointed. They don’t seem to accept reservations for one person, but a seat at the bar worked just as well for me. Wouldn’t hesitate to go there again on my next visit to Boston.

We had an amazing experience at Moonshine starting with bartenders, server, host & Chef Asia Mei! We (6 women) celebrating a birthday. We got there alittle early for reservation, so we went straight to bar for fun jello shots and drinks. Host came over to us when 8:45 came and went and no table. He apologized & gave us an update. We were seated within mins. EVERYONE was apologetic for the delay. We got settled and before we knew it Chef Asia Mei, welcomed us, apologized & gave us a yummy carmelized onion/beet dip. Service & food only got better as the night progressed. I strongly recommend Moonshine 152; it was an amazing experuence!
