I’ve never had a worse pho. ESPECIALLY for their price point. Although the broth was good, that’s kinda hard to eff up. The meatball was like dogfood taste and texture, and the beef was literally gray and slimy. They also added American cheese to a regular beef pho, even though I didn’t order the hangover. This place was extremely disappointing and an absolute waste of money

I never thought I could have bad pho, but here we are. I went to the MSY Airport location. I had the chicken pho. It was very salty and didn't taste remotely authentic. I couldn't even taste any star anise. The broth was yellow and almost opaque. It should be clear broth. Also, I don't like when people put in my thai basil for me, and I don't think it was even thai basil. It was already in the pho and they didn't serve any bean sprouts or jalepenos. However, the server/bartender was very nice and cordial.

Good pho. However, we ordered the chicken bites and got mostly sauce and the little fried leftover bits from the fryer. $12 for 5 microbites of chicken. Our server was nice but super slow. Spent most of his time at the bar talking to women. Overall, it's not really worth the price point.

Glad I got to try this place. I went with a small group of coworkers with varying degrees of adventurousness and everyone found something they enjoyed. Several vegetarian options were available, and the server inquired early-on about food allergies, which gave me that impression they value the inclusivity of their offerings. Atmosphere was pleasant, seating was dense but the varied table heights prevented a sense of crowding. Portions were entirely reasonable, so don’t expect a massive platter style entrée you usually get in the region. For most part, service was attentive but the runner seemed chronically annoyed.

Great food and a great vibe right next to City Park. We stopped in and had something to eat and a beer. The food was fantastic and there was a nice selection of beer. We'll try cocktails next time! The Burmese Chopped Cheese was absolutely delicious. The meat was moist but not dripping wet with a lovely curry based sauce. The "spiceberg" lettuce gives it a cool crunch and compliments the flavor of the meat. And the onions bring it all together. The black eyed peas curry bowl was also delicious and mountainous. You have a choice of rice or vermicelli. We went with rice and the coconut taste of the rice went perfectly with the curry tastes.

Fusion Vietnamese with a seasonal menu. Everything on their current menu sounded so good I had a hard time selecting. We ended with the nuac nam chicken bites, crispy green beans, and the beef brisket and P&J oyster buns. The chicken bites were really good, we found ourselves putting that sauce on the rest of our meal. The Korean beef brisket bao buns were a close second. I was disappointed in the green beans. They weren't breaded, so not that crispy. And the curry sauce wasn't hitting all the flavors. Most of the dishes were missing something out of the sweet, salty, umami, spicy combo. That balance is what I enjoy the most from Vietnamese food. My friend was talking to the newish server, telling her about past experiences there and how much things have changed. She informed us they were changing again as they were in the process of making a new menu. I did want to try the hot honey vindaloo, maybe they'll keep it. Worth a return trip to try new things.

This place is too much culinary fun to miss! How could you not want to try well made food that is a creative fusion of Vietnamese, Cajun, some Thai and even Indian elements? We had the coconut queso which was very OMG, the fried wings Nuac Mam sauce (juicy, crispy, intense with the sour/salty/sweet - I'd get them again but try the Vindaloo style next time out of curiosity), the chicken pho (wonderful!), and the daily special pork pho which has something like 7 different kinds of pork including belly, bacon, roasted, etc. My only regret was getting the pork pho, it was just too intense for me where I felt unwell eating it even though it was beautifully made. Too hardcore lardcore for me! I felt like it was more a dish made to satisfy a dare, but I bet there are plenty of folk out there ready to throw down a 7 different pork pho - and to you, I say I dare you to get it here! We drove out from out hotel in the Central Business District, and while this restaurant is in a quiet strip mall by a US military recruiting center, the neighborhood it is in is very cute. Full of charming small historic house getting spruced up by young adults, very hip. It was a neighborhood full of the right clientele to appreciate a vivid and offbeat place like this.

We had a large party and no reservations. We were seated at 2 tables, several tables away, which was perfectly fine 🙂 We were still two 5 tops, and my table was next to a 12 top, we shared a server with the 12 top. 🤨 The food was spectacular. I mean really next level in creativity, flavor combinations, and presentation(my mouth is watering and it has been three weeks since I was there). We shared some appetizers: coconut milk queso served with shrimp crackers, pork rinds, and cracklins; and hot honey vindaloo wings. The queso was phenomenal creamy, cheesy, coconut and the shrimp crackers were the perfect crispy crunchy compliment. The wings were my favorite 😍 absolute favorite part of the meal. They were lightly crispy but still the light crust held up to the sauce that was thick and sticky and spicy and sweet and hot... For main courses my companions had an assortment of steamed buns, and po boys, and I had the sweet soy glazed shrimp bowl. We were all very happy with our dishes, but we are all still talking about the apps. :) 😀 Sadly, our server didn't have time for us, the food had a good kick to it but our waters were never refilled, the food was dropped and she never came back to check on us, she dropped the check, singular, didn't ask if we wanted separate, our other table was offered separate checks, so it wasn't a policy, and then never came back to take the payment, we had to chase down the manager who clearly didn't understand how swamped our poor server was. 😥 The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and we all enjoyed our one and only meal in NOLA. I have already recommended to several people. 😃

It’s like a sleazy sports bar in there. Cheap plastic tablecloths. I sat by the window at the one wooden countertop. That was quite pretty. My arm stuck to it. I asked the waitress to wipe it down for me. She gladly did, but said oh, it’s the finish on it, it’s sticky… That’s why every other table has a tablecloth. OK don’t touch the table, check. Perch on this very high stool. Order an $18 bowl of pho. Well I guess it’s gonna be pretty good. The waitress tosses two crumpled bags on the table next to us.?? It’s the toppings for the pho we ordered! Not even a plate! so, we are off to a really bad start here… The pho comes fairly quickly. they put smoked brisket in it. Which I love smoked brisket, just not in a bowl of pho. The whole bowl tasted like liquid smoke. The broth was undrinkable. The meat was tender, but I only nibbled one bite and then actually sent it back and got a refund. I have never sent any food back at any restaurant in my life. I have been a server for eight years never have I done this. Very questionable all around. Save your money, for half the price you can get delicious Vietnamese food at pho bang either in Metairie, or on the Westbank. Those guys are top-notch.

I recently visited Mopho, a Vietnamese fusion restaurant in New Orleans, and my experience was intriguing enough to merit four stars. For starters, the beef meatball pho ordered for my kids was a hit. It was served without greens, which suited my children perfectly as they're not fans of veggies. This detail showed the restaurant's thoughtful consideration for younger palates. My husband's choice, the 'Hangover II' pho, however, did not meet our expectations. It seemed to lack the depth and authenticity of traditional pho flavors, which was somewhat disappointing for us as pho lovers. My meal, the Indonesian shrimp rice dish, stood out with its rich and well-balanced flavors. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the spices used in the dish were spot-on, making it a memorable part of our meal. The restaurant itself had a welcoming atmosphere and the service was prompt and courteous. Although the pho might not have fully captured the essence of traditional Vietnamese flavors, the menu's creativity and fusion approach were impressive. Mopho offers a unique dining experience, blending Vietnamese cuisine with diverse, international twists. Overall, Mopho presents an interesting choice for those looking to explore Vietnamese fusion cuisine. With its inventive menu and kid-friendly options, it's a place that caters to a variety of tastes and preferences.

Thank God I eat tiny bites, but I still bit on it and took it out of my mouth knowing it was plastic and it feels like a sharp edge of a knife and a point. And it's plastic. First time and last time ordering or eating here, I'm always scared to try new stuff but reviews were good. It's so expensive too. Definitely a big sad regret. And scary. Service was lackluster, which is frustrating as a server. Without the add-ins, like cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, it’s not worth the price tag, and to have to track the server down to ask for it is second-hand embarrassing. Also, there is a way to cook an egg between disintegrates into the soup, white and all, and cold hard boiled egg that costs $2…. Either way, I’m done. Not worth the visit anymore.

Mopho has been one of my favs for many years. Went Sunday even though the last two visits were disappointing. We both got the Sunday feature. What we got for $26 was 1/3 cup of pork cubes the size of dice, a 1/2 cup of pickle slices, 1/4 cup of cilantro and a piece of bread. I guess the pickles were the "salad". I wish I had known because I greatly despise pickles. I also hate cilantro. I didn't say anything because I was a guest of my daughter. (she knows half the top chefs in N.O.) She, on the other hand, complained to the waiter. They didn't do anything about the food but did comp her sparkling wine (it was totally flat). We needed to go somewhere else to eat because we were still hungry. To pay $60 for lunch we should have had our small appetites satisfied. The taste of the pork was good, the quantity was dismal at best (10 tiny bites). We will never return.

Be SURE to check your credit card bill when it arrives and compare it to your sales slip, because you may find the tip has been increased, possibly fairly substantially, like mine was. I thought it may just me, but my good friends went there one day so I warned them about it, and sure enough they checked and their tip was increased too. Really now, how reprehensible is this? Putting salt in the wound was that the attitude of the restaurant was defensive at best. No callback from the manager. No care extended. I wanted to have a heart to heart with them but they were not interested. Sad times for good local customers like us. Oh well, time to move on to other places I guess. Sad sad :-(

Even for fushion restaurant, it is below average. Pho broth was not good..meat and eggs were raw. The rice has a weird ginger taste to it. Anyways, I would not recommend this to anyone.

Fusion with dishes like curry red beans with fried pork cutlets. Check out their daily specials. Tasty pork belly.

Interesting concept and the food was great! Our server had many suggestions and we tried a few of the appetizers and the chicken pho. The broth was very tasty and seasoned well. Not too salty at all! I wished it would have come with a side of cilantro, bean sprouts, basil and jalapenos. However, that might not be the case since it is asian fusion. Not sure. Other than that it was a great experience. One last thing, be careful where you are seated if you going later in the afternoon and the sun is going down. If you're close to the restrooms and facing the doors, the sun will be right in your face.

Cute restaurant but the pho is expensive and not very good. It is middle of the road food for quality food prices. Not the worst, definitely not the best either.

I am celiac and have a hard time eating out, so I was so excited to find this restaurant uses gluten free breading and their staff is very knowledgeable and willing to work with me when I asked questions. Fusion can be hard to pull off and these guys did an amazing job in terms of quality and taste. Wonderfully cooked meat, sauces have a variety of flavors but all taste amazing, drinks are yummy and have great deals for HH!

Ordered the pork steamed buns and the pho. The flavor on the buns were actually quite tasty, but ended up getting food poisoning after that evening meal. Spent the next 3 days sick and in bed recovering. I really wanted to like this place but the thought of it makes me nauseous.

The food was okay but nothing to bring me back or even recommend to anyone. We had the curry wings, shrimp and grits, and brisket sticky bun. The prices were high so I expected better. The restaurant looked nice and the server at the host table was friendly.

I’m sitting here at the airport location just finished my chicken PHO which was delicious. The manager made this world class restaurant feel like a third world dining experience. He didn’t introduce himself when he told me he would “LET me and my wife eat here”. My wife bought a snack next door and sat with me while I ate my dinner. He said he would normally ask people to leave if any other food or drink was brought in. It’s time for Delaware North to audit the service here. This airport is the door in and out of New Orleans. Welcomed is not a word I would use to describe my experience here.

I haven’t been in several years. When I went, I was like it’s “fine.” My friend goes today (2023), and she’s from Houston and is Vietnamese American. She was like: “I fell for the trap” bc She wanted something healthy and ordered the salad. It was just fine. Her 3yo son ate all his pho. The food, for Vietnamese cuisine, is again, fine. You are paying for the area, atmosphere, so that is the key ingredient. The place - when I went and when she went - is nice. Service is good. But it you want delicious street side Vietnamese food, this is not the place. If you want a polished Americanized-westernized version like the Chinese style PF Chang’s, this is your place. So again, 3 star for food. She spent $60 between she and her 3yo son. But it is a 4 star for everything else.

Not impressed. Serving sizes small and the southern take on viet cuisine was lack luster. Barely worth the hype. Was expecting Creole Cajun Vietnamese but fell into a poorly gentrified asian spot. There was a thai salad and a Thai curry on the menu? Asked for tea but didn't have jasmine... The worst kind of fusion. American cheese in one of the phos? Abomination! Best part was the shrimp cooked with lemongrass and butter.

This was a disaster. My order was over an hour and a half late. The food was swimming in sauce which was spilled allover the bag and it was inedible. I called the restaurant to figure out what happened and the manager hung up on me. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was terrible. Would have been better off eating from my neighbors garbage.

Very bland. The food, was horrible! Undercooked wings, steam buns very bland. I guess it just wasn’t what we expected. My family and I love Vietnamese cuisine, however, this wasn’t anything Asian! Lol it’s almost comical to think, they’re advertising their restaurant as Asian fusion, when it’s just American’s who butcher great recipes. Will not ever return.
