So far, the best tacos in Waterford, Keego Harbor and W. Bloomfield. I usually get classic, corn tortillas with 1. Birria (shredded, sauteed, beef "stew") 2. Carnitas (shredded, sauteed pork) and 3. Pollo (chicken). I have yet to try Lupita's Kitchen. Motor City has the BEST classic, Mexican tacos in the area: hands down! My son agrees. ** They need to get to work Sunday evening! Who closes at 4pm Sunday, and also is closed all day Monday!?

I love getting my food from here. I go at least twice a week. I've only had one issue which I care not to disclose . Because it wasn't major. But highly recommend!

There’s like one server and she’s doing dine-in, take out etc so the service is slow but the food was so good you can’t care. Pretty authentic, I’d recommend those who are looking for great Mexican style tacos.

Everyone knows this secret. Motor City Tacos are the best around. Authentic. We have been going for years. But then the work crew installing our patio gave it 5 stars - you know it's good. Highly recommended.

Why is it so good? Must go back this Tuesday and eat again.

If you are looking for some authentic Mexican tacos 🌮 in Waterford, you have come to the right place. I had the chorizo, carnitas and asada tacos. All were very flavorful. My shells did want to fall apart on two of them, but this is my only complaint. The service was excellent from everyone!

Okay I wish I could rate it higher. The food was good, my son thought it was outstanding because he said it was more like authentic Mexican food. It certainly worth a visit but there is absolutely no atmosphere, it's actually inside a store. And for that alone I can't rate it very high. But if you want authentic Mexican give it a shot.

Excellent Tacos! Great chips and salsa. Prices are also good for the amount of food that you get. Bring your shopping list because it is also part Mexican grocery store. Also, when we were there, they had a door open (probably to keep the kitchen cool or something) and it made the dinning/grocery store cold. No matter because the food is excellent.

Great service! We dined in. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with a glass of horchata, we were provided with chips and salsa. Everything was very tasty and excellent service. My taste buds are very particular when it comes to horchata and salsa and both were pleasing. My husband enjoyed the menudo. We look forward to going back! Thank you!

Great chips, great salsas, great service. Olga was very attentive to our group of 6, and the others in a very full restaurant. The vegetables and limes were very fresh. My only complaint is the beans can only be ordered with lard, as with most Mexican diners, sorry vegetarians, no protein here. Hibiscus ice tea and horchata were delicious. Also, if you need a fun pinata, this is your place.

Authentic Mexican places can often be intimidating for non locals/regulars, this place is so welcoming, the prices are great and the food is incredible. The Pastor and Birria are amazing.

Best authentic Mexican food in the area, possibly the best in michigan. The Carne Asada, Horchata, Chips, Salsa, and green Tamales are the best I’ve had hands down. I lived in San Francisco for years and it was at least as good as any place there! Very excited to have such a great place near me!

Great customer service at this place! They offer some authentic Mexican groceries & their prepared food is excellent. Chips & salsa are good, Vegetarian burrito is really good & so is the chicken burrito. They also sell large authentic pinatas at a great price.

Had to drive from Milford to the closest Mexican grocer which was in Waterford just to get a jar of cactus! And I wound up eating at motor city tacos for a delicious lunch! Definitely worth the trip!

Fresh tacos. Ordered the beef tacos. Which was nice crispy pieces of steak. Choice of corn or flour tortillas. I went with the corn. If you’re looking for Taco Bell flavor, this is not the place. Some sort of sauce would have made the taco have an extra star, as they were a little dry. No sauce was offered or on any table as an option. Three tacos averaged $8.00. Has a lot of Mexican candy and fresh produce, and a meat counter , plus spices etc. If my review was helpful, like and follow me please!
