Wonderful vibe! Cozy and charming. I really liked the Unicorn Blood and my friend liked the Dragon's Breath.

This place not only looks super cute and interesting but it's also a nice little gem, the staff is super sweet and the mead was delicious and it was just what we needed to get our evening out in town with our friends off to a nice start

Mead! 🤩 They had over 15 types of Mead including three sparkling meads and even a non-alcoholic option on tap. The vibe is amazing and of all things, the bathroom is magical like an enchanted forest or something 😁 very cool. On a hot day, a cold Forbidden Forest (grapefruit) or The Queen's Diamond (sparkling) would be perfect. I look forward to trying one of the Cold Brew Mead's in Autumn.

Very cute and adorable place. The ambiance is beautiful and kinda trippy which definitely makes drinking the mead a good experience… haha. They have card games and drinking games and tarot card and even sketch books and pencil colors, definitely a nice touch! The different flavors of mead can be a hit or a miss but the QueenB sparkling one and strawberry vanilla were definitely really tasty!

A small, humble oasis in a sea of dives - Mr B’s distinctly unique product and atmosphere position it as a one of a kind sanctuary and a perfect place for date night. Staff is knowledgeable and attentive.

Vibes are absolutely immaculate, and our host was incredibly eccentric and thorough in his guided tour through mead. Just an all around great atmosphere, would very highly recommend.

This place was AWESOME! The atmosphere is whimsically magical, colorful, and joyful. The staff could not have been more fun and welcoming to my group. Though the space was small, it is utilized in the best way and offers an unforgettably wonderful experience. The rainbow pour package is 100% worth it and super fun. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Very cool meadery with a wide variety of flavors. Got the rainbow flight (the entire menu of 18 drinks) which was a great experience. Our favorites were the Lavender Citrus, Honeycrisp (apple), and Limoncello meads. We had a good time talking to the bartender about the mead batches he’s currently making. The space is small, but the decor and vibe (including the bathroom) were pretty unique and fun.

By far the best Mead I’ve ever had! Excellent customer service, excellent prices, and excellent product! What more could you ask for? Mr. B’s Mead is the best!

I just moved to Fremont and my dad and I decided to give this place a try since both of us had never tried mead before! This was the cutest quirkiest little bar with ALL KINDS of different meads and friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back!

This is my absolute favorite place to go drink with my partner and friends, including anyone who comes to town to visit us. Love how intimate and artsy the space is, and Mr. Schwa is the most welcoming and hospitable mead-tender ever. From the drinks to the artwork on the walls to the other patrons, you’re sure to have a wonderfully colorful experience.

I went here before and had an amazing experience! The person serving us tonight was very moody and was listening to our discussions. A topic came up that they didn’t like and they quickly told us not to talk about that because they had such a bad night already. They didn’t have to listen to us and it was very inappropriate because our conversation was very light hearted. Afterwards, they apologized but the whole experience was very awkward and it was unprofessional to say anything at all.

This is such a cool little spot tucked away in Fremont! Super friendly servers with great local brewed mead. You can expect to pay more for it, but it’s worth it. Plus it feels great to support a local small business! It’s a true hole in the wall and very small. One table inside and a handful of bar seats. Great hang out on a quiet night, pit stop on a busy night out, or place to pick up mead for D&D night. Highly recommend Lavender Citrus, Cardi G, Dragon Breath, and Unicorn Blood!

Fantastic little mead bar tucked back into an alley in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood. Great meat, very cozy location. Very friendly bartender, plus a ton of different mead choices from dry to sweet. Check them out!

Best place for mead in Seattle :) Animal friendly (especially cats) and great mead. The worst thing about Mr B's is that as soon as you find a mead you love, it will be gone. The best thing about Mr B's is that there's a new favorite mead to be had!

Outstanding little meadery with fantasy themed decor and a bathroom you won't want to miss. The barkeep was friendly, engaging and excited to share about his meads. Gandalfs Elixir and Dragonsbreath meads were unique and delicious. Such a fun cool spot!

I visited this place for the first time during the Solstice parade, coming in on a whim, where magical paintings lured me in. I was greeted by the cutest little space full of warmth and art and MEAD! Who knew there were so many POSSIBILITIES with this drink! I’m happily exploring the world of craft artisan delicious meads thanks to Z, the coolest and loveliest counter employee who did some tastings and offered her vast knowledge of mead (and cool music!), can’t say enough good things about her and this awesome store. Keep it up y’all!

Mr. B's Meadery is an incredible, hidden mead bar with delicious drinks and awesome decor! The staff was super kind and helpful, and even offered us their personal favorites to help guide us as we selected meads for our flight! Truly a hidden treasure, and not far from downtown.

This is such a unique and amazing little alcove! So much personality and skill! The mead selection is incredibly varied and has lots of complex flavors. Great little place! Highly recommend.

Mr. B’s is a must visit anytime I’m in the area! Awesome place to take friends and family. The space is small but every inch is covered in super playful and quirky art, you can tell right away they poured their whole hearts and souls into the space! Server Z was knowledgeable and eager to share everything she knew about the large variety of meads they have on menu. She gave us great tasting recommendations and made us feel so warm and welcome during our time there. Thank Mr. B and friends!

This place feels like falling into a fairy hole. It is so cozy, so magical, so lovely. The mead was delicious and potent. Honestly some of the BEST mead I’ve had in the USA so far. Z was so friendly and helpful!!

This place is adorable on the inside, very nerdy, it's tiny but we did a whole flight of all the options and it was really fun trying everything, ask about the "taste the rainbow" or whatever it's called. I feel like I know a lot more about mead now

This was a place we planned into our vacation in Seattle. It was a great experience. Being from out of town we spent a bit more than we normally would but we wanted to try all of their options. So my GF and I split their taste the rainbow option. I was really impressed with it. The service was great, Mr. Shua was pleasant and welcoming to all of his customers and made us feel at home. Cheers from a couple needs from the greater Cincinnati area. Ps. The bathroom is amazing, must see.

The ambiance is perfect, the mead is amazing, and the staff is so sweet and welcoming. A must try if you like mead or if you haven’t had it but you like sweet wine. Could not get enough of their sparkling mead. I wish they shipped out of state! Will go back next time I’m in town for sure.

Stumbled upon this place and was blow away. Space had a fantasy theme and was very cozy. We did the "Taste The Rainbow" to try all the meads and it was a great experience. Owner was bartender the night we were there and was very great to chat with. Was really impressed, and would come back again! PS: look for the cute little bees hidden throughout the space :)

Hard to overstate how much I love this place • The worst meads on the menu are as tasty as the best meads I've ever had from anywhere else, the best meads on the menu are divine • The aesthetic/ambiance is mind-blowing • Mr. B and the other bartenders are amazing, delightful, friendly people If you are someone who has tried mead elsewhere and found it mediocre/bad, don't let that stop you from trying Mr. B's. It's surprising but it's just literally true that most meadmakers out there don't know how to make good mead. Mr B does. He has the second largest selection of flavors in the country. He does lots of hobby-sized batches and experiments so there is always something new to try even when you visit as often as I do. More awesome tidbits: It gets a little bit better every time I visit, the new honey-comb shaped flight boards are beautiful. Tarot Tuesdays are a blast. The Hawaiian Honey series of meads is so interesting, did you know that bees that pollinate macadamia trees make honey (that can be turned into mead) that tastes like macadamia nuts, even without any actual macadamia added? Mulled mead is amazing, though be careful to let it cool down before you sip! Always ask about the secret mead menus. The sparkling meads are so refreshing, sparkling unicorn blood and sparkling lavender are my favorites. Don't leave without checking out the bathroom!

What a cute little place to stop into! We were walking around on NYE and saw a sign and decided to take a gander. The shop owner is very nice and friendly. It’s pretty small but it’s still comfortable. We made some friends there too! My boyfriend likes mead way more than I do but I still enjoyed the sparking meads a lot! You can sample 4 of any of the meads for $10 or 6 for $14.

A sanctuary for my crew and a favorite amongst food/bev workers. Lots of rotating flavor choices, art and a transcendental bathroom ;)

The absolute cutest place I have been to. Cozy and intimate meadery with a phenomenal meadtender. Tiny little treasures are placed elegantly throughout the place creating an engaging atmosphere. I will be back very soon!! Bring your friends and do the taste the rainbow!!

Amazing staff and great environment

A large selection of locally made mead. We ordered the “taste of rainbow” which is a small sample of all 20 meads available at the time. A pretty big range of flavors from dry to sweet and various fruits and cask aging. Personal opinion: sparkling ones have very weak flavor and I didn’t taste much. Favorite was the guava one which is not flavored with additional guava but with honey collected from bees pollinating guava flower. Other must try would be all the cask aged meads.

Wonderful place to visit. It is very small and have a couple indoor and outdoor seating options. Very great selection of mead and it was all so delicious. We did almost miss walking past it, I’m glad we didn’t. The owner was very nice and answered every question and gave suggestions. The bathroom is cool too.

Sweet little spot! Mead is our quaff of choice so we came here for a flight before a Scottish folk band at High Dive. Very tiny but eclectic Alice in Wonderland esque vibes. Aya worthy jungle bathroom. A little chilly tempwise. Fantastic array of sweet, heavy mead wines. We are big fans of the barrel aged meads so were delighted to see several different types on offer. Did not try the sparkling but excited to next time. The barman was friendly and well meaning but socially awkward, which was energetically amplified in the small space. We felt a bit challenged getting a good flow of communication going with him as it was not forthcoming, at some point even wondering about purposeful hires to make sure folks don't stay too long as the interior only sits around 10-11 folks. We would definitely be interested in returning when the owner is behind the bar....?

This is not only the hidden gem of fremont but of Seattle as a whole. From the decor, to the bathroom(!!!), to the welcoming vibe, to the drinks. this place is IT. The mead and its variety will blow your mind as this is the spot to go. you will immediately wish you were a regular already as it is where you plan to be and wish you and already been. my girlfriend and I love this place and travel across town to go! this husband and wife do it perfectly.

My husband and I LOVE this place. We did the “taste the rainbow” and tasted some of the best mead we’ve ever had. Mr. B, please make larger batches because all our favorites were sold out when we tried to get some bottles!

It was my first time trying actual mead here and it was fantastic like I could actually tell what’s inside! Not only the owner was super friendly, but also there was a lot of range of meads from super sweet to super dry/spicy. We started with just 6 tasters but we ended up trying every meads they had. On top of that, inside is full of cat arts and little bees everywhere which were very adorable. I wish I live close by enough so I can come here and try more new meads but really looking forward to visit here again when I come back to Seattle!

Feels like going down the rabbit hole. Look for the pastel bee-themed door in between Rudy's barbershop and Nuna Ramen. Go down the stairs. Have a flight of mead. Remember that it has a much higher alcohol content than beer. You're gonna get drunker than you expected.

Been frequenting this place for the last year or so. The staff is super chill and friendly, and the flavors are great! I’ve had mead before and thought it was gross, but loved their mead. You won’t be disappointed with Mr. B’s! Brandon and Mr. Shua were also super accommodating when I wanted to involve the meadery in a scavenger hunt—thank you so much!!

Went in here with my girlfriend and although I no longer drink alcohol, Mr. Shua offered me a non-alcoholic watermelon ginger beverage option so that was nice. My girlfriend really enjoyed the mead, got a flight and enjoyed every one of them. All this aside, the place is a 5 star experience even if you get nothing to drink. The decor is great, nicest bathroom I’ve ever seen, really cool location, and Mr. Shua was a god damn joy to be around. Best customer service experience I’ve had since I lived in Seattle by far. Just felt more like a friend. Since I don’t drink anymore, usually after I’ve visited a bar, tavern, tasting room of sorts I’ve got no desire to go back as I saw what those places had to offer at that point. I will 100% visit this place again just because of how unique it is and because the employee working was such a pleasure to be around. There’s a good reason this place has a perfect rating.

I've had mead at a Renaissance fair and hated it. Mr. B on the other hand does an excellent job. I came across this place by accident and was intrigued with the whole vibe. We did a 6 mead flight which i highly recommend. Most are hugh alcohol percentage and delicious. The spicey ones were surprisingly delicious. Cant wait to go back!

During our travels we spent the whole day a little 'off.' It was the last day in town and we weren't sure what we needed- my fiancé and I that is. We were missing something. The moment we saw the entrance of Mr. B's I speak for both of us when I say we found what we were looking for. The appearance and ambiance are flawless, much like the service we received. It was one of the few places where I feel that homesick feeling and wish we had one in my hometown. If you don't like mead I highly recommend stopping by to taste the rainbow regardless you will not regret it. If you do like mead, good luck leaving. Cheers! 10/10

Really cute place! I personally preferred the semi sweet and sparkling meads. Would highly recommend the mead flights - there's so many to choose from! Then you can get a glass of the one you like the most :)

TINIEST COZIEST HOLE IN THE WALL I'VE BEEN TOO!!! tho maybe i havent been to a lot but THIS IS THE ONE!!!! i'm not a fan of the taste of alcohol so i seek the sweetiest of beverages to satisfy my needs and mead tends to be one of them, and especially what this place serves. i got recommended this place by a friend and tbh can't blv it took me so long to get here but ill def be back!!! this place has meads of different sweetness varieties but i only tried the sweeter ones so i cant review for the folks who have less sugar craving taste buds than me. my favorite was probably the first one i tried, black magic. the vanillas and honeys felt so natural and soothing i forgot i was even drinking (dangerous ;) ). Love the style and um. yeah. go check this place out !!!!!! wonderful for a night of winding down!

Mr. B makes the best mead in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe the whole West coast. A variety of constantly rotating and highly imaginative flavors are always on the menu. Order a tasting flight for reasonable prices to get a sense of all that's available. The room is small, but there is seating in the alleyway as well. The result is a night of talking to strangers who can't help but overhear your conversation as everyone gets a little tipsier than anticipated from the deceptively strong spirits. The proprietor is extremely personable and will talk at length about his process, his materials, and his ethos for creating mead. His passion is so clear in both the way he talks and the final products. The eclectic decor and comfy seating makes for a lively night. And the bathroom has an incredible aesthetic with a calming atmosphere. You'll feel like you've walked into a secret club. Even writing this review I have the urge not to publish it for fear that the secret will get out too far. But everyone deserves to give this place a try. Take home a few bottles to share the wonderful mead with your friends!

The place is a must see. Not my cup of mead though. Too sweet for me. I did enjoy the Budda sparkling drink. Not too sweet. The guy working there is great and we definitely enjoyed our time there. Pictures are off the very original bathroom.
