Perfect getaway for hiking- Chase Mountain nearby and Mt Katahdin hikes about 45 minutes away. Relaxing- on pond and can sit out and watch wildlife. The food is delicious, specially prepared with local sources. Hearty souped up oatmeal breakfast or yummy french toast. The hosts are kind, friendly and engaging.

Lindsey and Mike are wonderful hosts and will make sure your stay is memorable. We loved being so close to the North side of Baxter State Park and all the fun activities you can do around the lodge itself. They have kayaks, SUPs and canoes and the tranquil pond offers endless possibilities. The food was healthy, tasty and home made. A rare find in this part of the world. We are definitely coming back next Summer!

Mt. Chase Lodge is one of my favorite places to visit! I love the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Lindsay and Mike are amazing people.

We were fortunate enough to have booked our cabin for the April 2024 eclipse, and it could not have been a more memorable experience! The cabins really are tucked away in a lovely, quiet spot, the amenities are comfortable and the service is great. We mostly kept to ourselves, enjoying the quiet of the cabin and early morning walks along the water, but it was just the retreat that we needed (a crystal clear view of the eclipse was the cherry on top!)

I am at Mt. Mt Chase Lodge, owned by Michael and Lindsay Downing for one of their special weekend by-reservation-only dinners, and special it was. After some light conversation beforehand, I was joined at the dinner table by all area locals, as well as a group of snowmobilers who were eating at a nearby table. The food was excellent, conversation stimulating, and this is definitely a place for some exceptional evening dining. I was not staying at the lodge itself, so I can’t review the room amenities.

Mike and Lindsay are great hosts and their staff is wonderful. We love the cabins and the meals are delicious.

This was our first time staying at Mt. Chase Lodge and we already cannot wait to come back. We truly can’t say enough about our stay start to finish. Mike and Lindsay are hospitality professionals. The food was AMAZING and the genuine kindness and customer service was unmatched. We enjoyed talking with other guests and friendly staff. Not to mention the beautiful, clean and comfortable room, we felt right at home. A HUGE thank you to Lindsay, Mike, Kelly and the rest of the staff for an incredible stay, they really made us feel like family.

Always a great spot to stay with great food

Terrific. We stayed at the Penobscot cabin for a winter weekend of cross-country skiing. The Lodge's on site trails are short, but scenic and good for out-of-shapers and for trying out new gear. Out extended skiing was on groomed trails at the nearby Katahdin Woods and Waters national monument. The hosts and staff were relaxed and bend-over-backwards hospitable to skiers in the midst of prime snowmobile recreation season. I was surprised at the Lodge's food: it's very good, a Portland, ME. food moment in the middle of a north woods winter.
