The servers are wonderful. Great live music venue with entertainment every weekend. Pub food is decent, depending on what you order. A Sonoma favorite!

Got the frickles snp fries and the corn beef sandwich all were amazing drinks were spot on , service was quick and so was bar

I have a fairly nice bicycle and look fairly decent for 65, but when I tried to bring my bike in with me to ask where I could park it, before I even got half-way through the door, the guy behind the bar called out to me: you can't bring that in here, so I just turned around and headed to the B&V instead, where I was able to park my bike and be greeted warmly by the bartender. Maybe Murphy's doesn't need customers, but even so, what harm is it to find out the situation before getting all "huffy" about it?

Great customer service, and location. There’s an alley that takes you to the restaurant and it makes you feel like you’re in another part of the world! This place is very cool! There’s sitting available inside and outside. They also had a live band when I went on a Friday night, which was so awesome! The restaurant manager, Shawn was really kind and provided outstanding service to everyone! That was impressive. The food was so good, that I didn’t get to take a picture of it! We finished it all.

I go to Murphy all the time I enjoyed the food and enjoyed the service, but today I had a rude waitress made it uncomfortable to even stay there, I rarely complain about services, but she was horrible so bad that I didn’t leave her a tip, I don’t know what her problem was

Was on short holiday and spent St Patrick’s Day there. What a great night also went back for a great plate of fish and chips. Can’t wait to visit next time. Keep it up

Cool place, live music, homemade frickle chips and ranch, yummy!

Showed up to do a paint night. Ordered food. Two different dishes. Both were really bad. Lacking flavor and quality. The pulled pork tasted like cardboard. Half of one meal was comped. Neither we're eating. Every once a while, the smell of sewage would come through. Our waitress was very friendly. And worked very hard for how busy the restaurant was. It was clear based off of other people's tables that a lot of people don't come here to eat but to drink.

Pub with pub food. Live music made it way better.

This afternoon, we went to Sonoma CA. At Murphy's , I ordered smoke salmon, cod , muscles and clams stew ! When the dish came! We could not find any of the cod and the smoke salmon ! Only some clams and muscles nothing else ! We asked one of the young lady who worked there. She said that was a stupid mistake! Then she brought a little bit of smoke salmon over ! That dish was $22.00. Still no cod at all ! ! I was Super disappointed ! Therefor NO more Murphy's Irish Pub & restaurant anymore !!

My husband ordered the fish and chips, I ordered the cheese board. Husband thought the fish and chips were very good. The cheese board was just ok. The service was solid and price was reasonable. Was charged a corkage fee when I served myself wine from the shop next door.

I went here with friends after a show at the theater around the corner. There was live music for a woman's birthday, so it was fun stumbling into that. We danced and had drinks. My friends' food looked very good and I wish I had gotten something other than what I ordered; I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and I do not recommend it - it was $20, and the chicken was dry. A salad should not be $20, no matter how "famous" their chicken is. I will however recommend the fried pickles, because the side of the ranch is a dill divine.

It was typical of everything else that tries to be an Irish pub in this country and then fell from his face. The Bar man was extremely accomplished.

We went there after a wedding rehearsal dinner for drinks. We all had a great time. Very nice place.

Service was disappointing since the waitress failed to place our food order...??? After appetizer and drinks and waiting about 30 minutes ...I asked about our order which was all "new" to her??? In the meantime outdoor heating was on and off... mostly off and I was cold. Whenever a nearby table cleared we "enjoyed" the scent of cleaning spray in the air as table was srayed wiped down! It is too bad that all these unpleasant and thoughtless things could easily be resolved.

We really enjoyed ourselves, great service, plenty of IPA beers and craft beers to choose from, and the Irish menu is inticing.

We’ve been here before - the first time while taking a stroll through Sonoma. My hubby is English so pubs are always on our list. This one didn’t disappoint. There’s indoor and outdoor seating with a cover band on weekends and we’ve enjoyed both. The service is always good and the food is above standard for pub food with the manager sometimes serving and having a chat with customers. Beer and drink options are great too. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time watching sports and enjoying appetizers and drinks. The food, drinks, and service were awesome. Mike and the team took great care of us!

That was pretty good my Irish wife and I were over in Napa and decided to look up where the nearest Irish Pub was only traveling as far from Benicia. Good food and the service and the atmosphere was pretty nice even bought a few shirts! She was glad to see the shirts had Shamrocks on them but disappointed to see the clovers on the menu since those are not Irish. Sláinte!

Food was great, drinks were great, and the atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. While we were there they happened to have a live bluegrass band which was a nice surprise and added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

It's good but sat at the bar. Barman was so busy with orders he bevervengagedcwhich is the opposite of what I've encountered in most Irish bars. Music was good.

The server was really nice. We came in a tad late. In the evening (Sonoma rolls up its sidewalks pretty early) and they were gracious in serving us. Great beer selections. Good Caesar with grilled chicken but the breaded chicken scalloppini was not good. Soggy and the breading undercooked.

Great atmosphere and you can tell the regulars love this place. Food was also tasteful and priced reasonably.

Stopped by for drinks. Good outside space in sunny patio with excellent live music. We arrived for the last few numbers of one band and another arrived half an hour later to continue the party atmosphere. We only had drinks and an appetiser good selection of beers, wines and whiskeys The craic was mighty, if it wasn’t 18 degrees and sunny you could picture yourself in Ireland!

Fun music on patio. Fish tacos and beer delish. Might consider some more options for gluten free diners.

Great selection of whiskeys and bourbons with a tasting menu. Lots of beer and wine to choose from. Food was tasty and a great price. Live music was great and everyone was dancing. Friendly staff was working hard at keeping the drinks and food coming.

Our table was never cleaned. They put a form of anchovy on my Cesar salad without telling me and they were not staffed properly for their nite time rush. Never going back.

Came across randomly on a Sunday 5pm when the town was shutting down, not this place! Just wanted a bite before the trip back to the East Bay. Prices were higher but the food was good, had the Frickles and Irish Nachos. The Irish Nachos were a hit in the group. They had an outdoor cover band, so entertainment was great too

Great pub with a good choice of brews and decent cocktails. The grub is typical Irish pub fare along with some healthier California twists incorporated, but I haven't been disappointed yet. Last time, I had the popcorn chicken, and it was very tasty with my Henhouse beer. The pub often features live music on an open-air patio space. I like going as a place to have a pint (or two😉) while the girls shop the plaza.

Great establishment! All the TV's with NFL package, food is great and kid friendly. Only bar and grille with sports in downtown Sonoma.

We went for lunch and other than being rather cold in the dining room, the food was great and service, cheerful.

The food is good grill food. Burger and fries, Irish stew, and beer. There was a local band that sang a variety of familiar hits that are usually played by local bands.

Really understaffed, took forever to get a drink while sitting at the bar. But staff was very friendly and not their fault they were solo on a busy day.

Went to watch a world cup match here. Great atmosphere, service, and food. Plenty of beer, wine, and cocktail selections. We sat outside in the heated courtyard and would definitely come back

Live Music, Great Food, Great cocktails and beer selection as always the Guinness was delicious. Party of 8 had two tables on a busy night. Pumpkin martinis and the band was a dance party. A must stop by when your in Sonoma.

We were in town for a work trip and love a good irish pub. This one is a little different. There is no inside sit down restaurant. It's a small inside pub. Outside is a patio setting with a place for live music. I ordered a True Irish Martini and LOVED IT!! I had the brisket sandwich with salad. My husband ordered his old stand by Bangers and Mash. Food was amazing from first bite. Plenty to fill you up. Busy. Friendly service

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Service was good. They advertised a gun fizz as a cocktail but it wasn't a fizz. They said they were changing their cocktail menu the following day, so don't look for that drink when you go. Husband loves the Irish Lamb Stew. My white bean and Kale salad was tasty, however I would have liked more beans in it. The popcorn chicken was my favorite thing we tried. They have a weekly schedule of live music and trivia night. Very fun place!

You know an Irish pub is legit when they have Magners cider.

Ever hear of a 3.5% charge for using a credit card? This place does it and it’s not on the menu or posted anywhere. I’m a regular yet find this ridiculous and unheard of. Rather call it CASH ONLY.

Wow!!! What an excellent experience we had at Murphy’s Irish Pub this weekend. The pasta and fish n chips were excellent! And the Guinness was flowing! Friendly attentive staff that were super nice and knowledgeable.

The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The service was excellent and we definitely recommend going.

Walking the area after dinner and heard live music. Turns out they had an open Mike night with some decent music. We sat just outside the main seating area. Waited 29 minutes, but we must have been in a dead service zone. Servers to the left and right but not our table

This pub/restaurant is down an alley along side a bakery in Sonoma. We first went in the get drinks in the oppresive heat currently hitting Sonoma. The beer was cold, drinks mixed to perfection and Guinness on tap! the biggest surprise was the food. Not your normal pub fried dishes. Unique sandwiches of lamb, chicken, corned beef. Dinner size platters of buttermilk breaded chicken, mussels (plenty of them), and a bloody mary with a burger on top! It was so good that in 3 days we went back 4 times! While the bar and some seating was indoors there was covered outdoor seating for many. While we went to Sonoma for the wine, maybe our best experience was Murphy's.

Visiting Sonoma for the week and went here last night based off our hotel recommendations. Have to say it wasn't even mediocre. The place was not busy and yet it seemed like the wait staff only bussed one table. I ordered the lamb salad, when it arrived it was missing the cheese. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she argued saying the salad didn't come with cheese. While she went to go get me some, I pulled up the menu. Showed her it said gorganzola cheese, and she brought me blue... the Irish stew my spouse had was bland and the lamb in it was terrible. When our drinks were empty, it took well over 20 minutes to even get the attention of any staff to order more. Had high hopes for this but honestly, nit sure if they know what Irish food even is.

This place is sort of hidden off in the back, but it is worth heading down the alley! There is frequently live music and on Monday night the locals come out and play at open mic. They have great fish and chips. I have had different experiences with the food. I ordered calamari once and it was way too slimy. I couldn't eat it. I thought I would try it again the next week and it was a bit burnt. Not sure what happened. I have had their Lamb Sandwich and it was pretty good. Several of my friends rave about Murphy's chicken sandwiches. They do give pretty big portions, so nobody leaves hungry. A bit pricy for the food, but I still keep going back. It's the spirit of the place that appeals to me. It feels positive and upbeat all the time. Good music, too.!

Walking around Sonoma Plaza, heard some live music coming from an alley and decided to check it out. It was open mike night and several local musicians were jamming. We stayed for a few drinks and enjoyed a great friendly vibe. Didn't try the food because we had just eaten but it looked great.

I felt so comfortable here. I like a pub atmosphere. Good fish tacos and a bar...not just wine. It is off the beaten path but worth the trip down the alley!

The night of June 11, 2022 Murphy's was chosen as the after (wedding) party location for whoever was interested in joining us. It was not very full when we arrived pretty late (maybe 10:30 PM) which was nice for our group as we certainly filled the whole outside area. Probably 30 of us there? We were served and treated graciously and we really appreciated that. Choosing Murphy's was a nice ending to a very fun and meaningful day!

What a great place for lunch. Stopped in while doing a bus tour and had a delicious lunch and live music! What a Great time! Food was good and service was too.

My wife left her Mother's Day card on the table at a family dinner, and came back the next day to find it on a clipboard left out where we were sitting. Special thanks to the people who didn't just throw it away. We told owner how much we appreciated their thoughtfulness. Also, a GREAT place for outdoor music and a fun time. Good food too!!
