The food tasted great. They have an awesome spicy mustard based bbq sauce that was so good I had to buy a whole bottle off em.

I'm a bbq guy, but not from here, so, I seek out bbq... they're barely open an hour and I ordered a rack.... the girl HID yesterday's ribs underneath... my dog chewed on it for ever. Never again.

Service is warm and Friendly, Atmosphere is what you expect when you walk into a Bar B Que spot. The smell of some good Que as soon as you get out of your car just surrounds you. This is definitely a great place to eat and All the food is on point. Don't forget to try the mustard sauce when you eat here. Rename this place my daddy’s a ripoff

If I could give this place a ZERO star I would. Got 3 meats & 2 sides with a dinner roll in a to-go container for like $23 … it looked like I ordered 1 meat there was hardly anything in the container. It looked like a cafeteria plate, just pathetic. The service was rude, they got my meal together within a minute because it was all pre-paid garbage. I wanted money back but it was so awkward, I told the lady “is this it? I thought there was more seeing how I ordered 3 meats.” She goes “yeah, it’s all in there. Ugh! Disgusting, waste of money & time. Food was terrible. Don’t waste your money or time trust me. I usually don’t give bad reviews but this one is well deserving.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place took 40 minutes to get my food ready and it tasted like and looked like the brisket was microwave. Also, she did not wait to put the food in the Styrofoam because the styrofoam was melted from the food.

Just came in with my brother today. We ordered the Rib plate and the Seafood plates. Also had the jalepeno poppers. Both delicious and we will be back for more quite often. this family deserves more recognition. -Jeremy

Me and my brother just got two plates each. One rip and one seafood.... Both were good enough to get my return service.

I've traveled north, south, east, and west, and all throughout I've had good BBQ and bad BBQ. This place just happened to be the worst BBQ. On the positive side, the guy taking our order was friendly and a conversationalist. Ordered the 3 meat combo (brisket, pulled pork and sausage). It was literally floating in greasy oil. Disgusting! Brisket on top was dried out. Everything underneath was saturated with oil and inedible. No smokey flavor. Sausage was 4 thin slices cut across a link. Pork was very fatty. The roll was cold with no butter. Cole slaw obviously came out of a 5 gallon tub. Baked beans were from a can. Only 1 sauce on table and it was thin and bland. Even the beer was not enjoyable because he served the Corona with no lime. Glad I was just passing through because I won't go there again.

Mouthwatering, melt in your mouth brisket. With Carolina style sauce on the side. Great food. Great side dishes too.

The mac n cheese took this place from a possible 3/3.5 to a 2 almost 1 star. Customer service was awesome and that's the ONLY reason for a 2 star. The mac was sour and gross! No disrespect it tasted old and minimal flavor. My daddy would be ashamed in this place!

I've lived here most of my life but have never eaten here before. My first experience was great! Best bbq in town. Fair price. Very nice woman that was working there. All around GREAT experience!!!! 👍❤️

One of best BBQ places I have ever tried. Meat was high-quality, tender, with full smoky flavor. Tried the brisket and ribs. If you like BBQ then you will love this place.

Great food and friendly service. We had to eat there because we on a road trip and even though it was raining they happily walked the food to the outdoor covered eating area. Staff even came and checked on us a few times. I got the brisket and my friend got the pulled pork. The mac and cheese, okra, and cole slaw were amazing too. Overall delicious food for a good price

This place is excellent!! Everything we had was scrumptious! The barbecue sauce had excellent flavor. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The coleslaw was delicious and the okra was the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place.

So this is my first time having them the meat was good but the only sides they had was coleslaw or fries it didn't come with any type of bread or nothing the sauce was good to

The brisket plate and sandwiches were really good. The fries also, they were spicy and very flavorful. My wife especially liked the BBQ sauce because it was not to sweet.

Friendly staff, great tasting food

Nice little place. I ordered the grilled tilapia and it was very good, as was the fried okra. The cashier was nice and friendly. It is a little pricey, but it wouldn't be as bad if they had fountain drinks, or at the very least some fresh brewed tea. As it is, the only drinks are bottled drinks, so no refills (which makes the overall price a little harder to swallow), and no fresh brewed sweet tea like you might expect from a barbecue place. All in all it was very good, but the drink situation did take a star away from my review.

A Legit BBQ joint in Carlsbad! Ordered the 3 meat plate, drove across town, checked in to my room and the meat was still off-the-pit Hot! The brisket was lean and tender and the Sauce was great. They were super busy at closing time and the young lady making the orders was hustling and got my order perfect!

It's a little hole-in-the-wall place, but it's really nice. Small seating, but does to-go orders. I'd definitely make this a go to spot when I'm near Carlsbad.

I'm from West Texas, where great BBQ is hard to find even there. This. Is. The. Best. BBQ. I've had. In YEARS. 5/5 stars. Will be coming back. The very very best. Small dining area, so if you go with a big party (which I recommend: bring everyone you know to this place), just be aware :)

Good tasting bbq here. Pricing on par with most other bbq restaurants. Really like the outdoor patio that blocks the hustle bustle so you can take in some good bbq and some music.

Food was pretty good. Sausage is spicy, brisket dry & firm, ribs were okay and didn't get any pork. Potato salas and beans very good. Prices are alittle steep

Walked into this BBQ place with a lot of doubts about the food as I have had some of the nation's best. But this place rocks some of the best I have tasted. And the young lady that helped me rocked also.

I flew helicopters out of the hospital years many ago. The BBQ here was awesome. Especially the Carolina mustard based. Wish we had BBQ this decent in El Paso.

The size of the venue is a major problem. 10 people will crowd it out, especially during the lunch rush. The waitress was very slow

I took my daughter their for lunch and Hands down, some of the best bbq I have ever had! It took a minute to get our food, but hey with the waitress taking orders and cooking them I had patience. She was very good to my daughter and very friendly. Will definitely go back! P.s. pork ribs are the way to go when visiting this place.

Excellent pork ribs, fell off the bone, very moist. Their homemade honey mustard BBQ sauce was great! Best ribs I've had in years.

Pretty great brisket and the service was friendly. It took less than 10 minutes to get my food (went there at 3pm). Not quite the bar-b-que I'm used to back home in Missouri but very good nonetheless.

Stopped here for dinner on my through Carlsbad awhile back. The pulled pork was done right and the spicy barbecue sauce was decent. Not quite on par with the best barbecue places I’ve tried. However, it’s a big step up from the chain places (Rudy’s, Dickie’s, etc...) and you won’t be disappointed eating here.

I loved this place! I tried the pick three meats with sides. The hot links were great and the BBQ sauce was delicious! I recommend you try the spicy BBQ sauce. The service was very friendly and efficient. This is a very small location don't blink you might miss it but so worth the stop!

These folks are probably some of the nicest folks running a restaurant in Carlsbad, but for me, good service is only 1/3 of my score. The other 2/3 is food related. If you haven't had Texas BBQ you can go and enjoy this for sure, but if you're looking for Texas BBQ away from Texas, don't go, it'll just make you that much more home sick. It's not a lost cause, I really think if they'd consider traveling to Texas to a cook off and learning some more technique, they could be the best BBQ for 100 miles! The bbq here honestly looks and has a texture like it was cooking in a crock pot after being smoked, which seemed to draw the moisture out of the brisket. I'm really hoping by the time I'm back in Carlsbad, they might have made some improvements, because they really are real good folks.
