The service was great and (most of) the food was really good. That goat cheese and fig eggroll starter is really tasty. My entrée was not a hit but it could be that I did not pick something right for my acquired taste at that time. And the atmosphere is really cool in there.

Everything was amazing! Steven, our server, made the experience even more exceptional. Try the octopus- it was the best we ever had!

Manager was a unaccommodating we have eaten there over 10 times we spent over 300.00 for 6 dinner had to keep asking for bread and butter 6 times and then found out they charge $3.00 per bread order it cost me $20.00 for bread who the hell charges for bread !!!! . I had 1 old fashioned drink asked for an item on a smoked cocktail piece of plastic cover for a birthday party present and said you can Get them on Amazon. It was a $2.00 item. I Order octopus got 4 -2” pieces with small lettuce and $16.00 food average and management has gone down hill.

Always a pleasure dining here. The Hogfish dinner is a guilty pleasure along with their green salad with cilantro/lime dressing. The staff is always attentive without being intrusive and the wines are the perfect pairing. For a birthday, try the molten chocolate cake and key lime mini tastes… the perfect start to the next year around the sun.

I will start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place because I’ve heard good things about it but I did not have a good experience. We ordered the crabmeat stuffed artichokes as an appetizer. It was not made with fresh crabmeat. It was either canned or imitation krab. There was no flavor or appealing texture to the dish. Next my wife orders lobster bisque, the waiter brings out mushroom bisque. Not to cause a stir she decides to keep it. It was also bland and had a slimy texture. We also got the beard service and I’ll tell you the herbed butter was the best tasting item of the night. I also ordered the wedge salad and it was ok at best. Then our entrees came, my wife ordered the panko hogfish. The fish was overcooked and dry with no seasoning. I got the yellowtail snapper with crabmeat and lobster butter. The fish also had no flavor, the crabmeat was definitely canned crabmeat and I did not see a single piece of lobster on the plate nor did I taste any lobster. We both got a side of the cherry pepper cream cheese mashed potatoes because they sounded delicious. Well it was not. Again it was very bland with no depth of flavor and I’m pretty convinced it was made from instant or powdered potatoes. We gave it one final shot with dessert and I wish we would have not. We tried the bread pudding, key lime pie, crème brûlée and salted caramel gelato. All were not good and the bread pudding was borderline disgusting. This was such a disappointment because as I stated I really wanted to like the place. And at the price point they charge for food, I was expecting more.

My first time here and it definitely won't be my last! We recently held a work dinner and birthday celebration for a friend/co-worker at Mystic Fish and I can't say enough good things about our experience. First, let me start with our waiter, Steven... He was top notch! Attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable about all things on the menu. He was animated and yet very efficient from the very moment we were seated. Drinks were on point, food looked and tasted AMAZING, and the atmosphere was simply perfect!

A bit pricey. Get there at 4:00 when they open and get the specials. This place fills quickly and I recommend calling for a reservation.

I was so looking forward to trying this place and trying their mwnu as i love seafood. Unfortunately, me and my husband and I did not have a great experience today. We just left the restaurant as we felt our presence and money were not wanted. We were asked if we had a reservation when we entered. And we stated we did, but it's not for another hour. We made one literally on the way end just in case. They hostess stated she didn't see and that since we did not have a current reservation, we had to take a table. We were seated at the table right behind the hostess stand. No problem. As we sat within about 5 minutes of us sitting, literally 4 booths got cleared because people were leaving. As we sat we also saw SEVERAL couples, three specifically within that time frame that came in without reservations (and we knew this because we sat right behind the hostess stand and could hear the conversations) three Caucasian couples that came in and did NOT have reservations got seated at the booths that were cleared off. All around us. As African Americans, we felt disregarded and overlooked. Then we did talk to the supervisor, and she was not helpful she stated that booths were reserved. When we clearly knew otherwise. I never leave reviews, but this is unacceptable. When it's clear that others around you get the basic respect and considerations that you don't get and the difference is in color, that's something worth speaking on and against. And reservation or not if that is your policy, "no reservation, no booth" even if they are free. Then, everyone should be held to that same policy. I'm sad that this is still an issue. And especially as a Veteran ( me and my husband both are) I am extremely saddened by this. I'm disappointed because I wanted to try more of the menu. I enjoyed the one drink I had, and the server was pleasant. But I will not spend my hard money where I am not wanted.

Great cocktails & food. I loved the Jungle cocktail. The booths were intimate and cozy. Appetizers had lots of flavor. The escargot had good structure & flavor intensity. The crab artichoke app was fun. Don't forget to add the beans for extra flavor dimensions. The bison filet was overcooked, but they fixed it very fast, and it did not impact the experience. $20 corkage. The mini deserts are a must. Great espresso.

Restaurant was nicely styled. Waitstaff was very good and attentive. The early bird dinner specials were a good deal. We had the bread service and tuna as apps, both were excellent. The dinners were well portioned and good. We will definitely try it again.

Best place to eat, excellent service, atmosphere is outstanding and food is great. The bartender Steve is amazing and so professional.

Once again Mystic Fish did not disappoint. We were seated on time for our 6PM reservation. Our friend Bruce was celebrating his birthday, and so was I! Tonya was a fabulous waitress. She took our drink orders & quickly returned with what we ordered. She gave us time to catch up with each other, and look over the menu, before she returned to take our dinner selections. Everything was cooked properly and tasted divine. Husband had the short ribs and mashed potatoes, and I had the Mahi with asparagus & mashed potatoes. Our friends had Hogfish and another fish and neither left anything on their plates! Tonya brought Bruce & me two small dessert selections with a candle in just one of the two. No embarrassing song or fuss. Bruce got the crème brûlée and brownie. I had a key lime pie and cobbler. We each enjoyed what we got. So sinfully delicious. We will be back, and hope to try a different entree when we return!

Hands down a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal. We frequently go to E&E and were told to try this restaurant. We are so happy we check this spot out. The service can not be matched, and the food is amazing. Hats off to the chef! The atmosphere is excellent your eyes and belly will be full. Highly recommend the mystic field green salad, scallops, salmon and shrimp pasta. Everything is fresh and has well balanced flavors. The chefs specials are always a good choice. End your meal with a delicious dessert you won't regret saving room. Can't wait to return!

Our first visit to Mystic Fish and what a delight! You’ll need an advance reservation and they only seat between 4-8pm. Everything was prepared perfectly and tasted gourmet, down to the green beans. We will be back for certain! Love my town, local LQ

This is definitely a nice place for a date night. We enjoyed the atmosphere and everything we ordered was good. Not giving it 5 stars because nothing was amazing, but we will definitely visit again considering we don’t have many nice places in the area.

OMG! Just had one of the best dinners ever. The food, service, atmosphere was fabulous! Tom was our server and was very attentive. I have a dairy allergy and he made sure the food was prepared without any of that. The early bird menu was extensive but I would come back here even if not early bird! We had the grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was as so tender and well seasoned. I had the bouillabaisse and it had so much seafood and the broth was amazing. My mom had the same as me and then my dad had the scallops. Everything was delicious!

It was Mother's day. We arrived early and they seated us immediately. The menu had a great range and the food was delicious. The service was wonderful and welcoming.

Had a fantastic dinner and service experience with Steve! Easily one of the best and made-with-care seafood dinners we’ve ever had. Sea bass was done perfectly and the mussels appetizer was flavorful but not overpowering.

Cocktails were divine and the food was even better. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavors were uniquely delicious.

4 of us sampled each other's and couldn't decide which meal was best!!! Excellent seasoning on everything.

Why do you even bother? Seriously, you close at 9p on weekends and 8p during the week. These are RIDICULOUS hours for a restaurant.

I took my Mom for a Pre-Mothers's Day meal....to miss the unavailable status for reservations. We, 5 of us, thoroughly enjoyed our bread, wine and entrees. Our waiter was brilliant! I dont believe, ANY restaurant doesn't need improvement...so 4 stars straight across. I highly recommend Mystic Fish!!

Ordered Hog Fish which virtually looked and tasted like breaded fish tails. Ate there Monday night. The service from Tanya was exceptional. The food was terrible except for the Bermuda soup which was excellent. Probably will not return there.

I had ribeye and couldn’t cut it. I tried 2 different steak knives and finally gave up to take it home. The rice was uninspired. I liked the vegetables and bread the best. Won’t go back.

Proud to have this local, fine dining establishment in Palm Harbor. We visited on a Monday night and were surprised to see almost every table filled. They have a loyal customer base and after our meal it was evident why. The service felt of five star quality. The drinks had a generous strength of liquor to them. I had the grouper special which had a delicious outer crust and my husband’s filet minion was excellent. We were having a nice time dining setting so we indulged in a dessert flight. Great experience and we’ll love to come back.

i ordered a scallop dish, it was quite different, scallops were very soft and chewy, most scallops i have had were firm and not so chewy. i will definitely order something different next time!!

We were in the area for a family celebration and decided to visit Mystic Fish. We had to wait for a few minutes for everyone to arrive, but Stephen made sure everything was well arranged. The ambiance was nice and the food was exceptional.

Steve was our waiter and was outstanding. I had the pork Loin and it was delicious.

The shrimp and scallop pesto pasta was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time! My husband got the black grouper and agreed. Service was quick and our waitress was super attentive and friendly.

We went went with family to celebrate an anniversary. We had Tania A. as our server. She was excellent. She helped us with our dinner picks and the food was excellent. Tania was very friendly and one of the best servers we have encountered.

Had the most amazing meal at this place. We ordered the Bouillabaisse which consisted of large pieces of shrimps, scallops, mussels, clams,lobster and fish cooked in a delicious saffron broth. The side of mash potatoes was very tasty. Also ordered the seared scallops which were 4 very tender and large scallops with well cooked rice and veggies. All very delicious.

Mystic Fish is one of, if not the best, seafood restaurants in Pinellas County. They serve upscale food in a very nice atmosphere at a very fair price. Their service is always impeccable.

Hog fish was amazing, as was the creme Brule. I highly recommend trying this place for your next night out. Thomas F. was our waiter, and he was very nice and also knowledgeable about the menu! Thanks for a great night out. We will be back.

I ordered the grilled Seabass for the first time It was very good, but the aioli did little for the fish. If anything it detracted. The Lobster Bisque is the best I've had anywhere. We always bring home extra take-home of this item. My favorite entree remains the "regular" Pork Loin w/ Rice 'n sauce, & Sautéed Mushrooms. The Pork is as juicy, tender, & flavorful as I've had anywhere. Our server tonight was Kamil but we've nothing less than super service every time we visit. One of these times I'm going to order "The Wedge". It looks awesome.

We are three couples and we had an amazing dinner at Mystic fish. The food is excellent -I ordered sea scallops. The service is friendly and prompt. I would recommend this restaurant. The desserts are the perfect size and reasonable priced.

Chose to come to our neighborhood restaurant for my husband's birthday. Justin was our server and was spot on. The rib eye and their mashed potatoes on the menu and swordfish was amazing. We loved the ambiance which is very important to us. Definitely worth the experience

It's a gem in an otherwise culinary wasteland.

There were three of us in the party I got the Chilean sea bass my father got the chicken and his wife got the steak Everything looks good mashed potatoes are good to green beans are good My only complaint was that dinner came with a vegetable which was $5 a la carte, the asparagus was $5.95 a la carte and they wouldn't switch and add the 95 cents the only way you can get the asparagus was to pay the full $5.95 Oh! meals don't come with bread you have to pay for it😥

10 of us went there for our mother's 93 birthday dinner and the food and service were outstanding.

Have been dining at Mystic Fish since "99 and can never remember not being pleased with the experience until last evening. Had out of town guests who themselves frequented the place before relocating out of town. Having been one of their favorite venues, they asked to dine here when they came to see us. Well it certainly wasn't what they recalled or expected nor was it what we anticipated. Service (Tim) was fine although a bit slow due to kitchen back up. Apps of lobster escargot and crab stuffed artichokes were delicious. The mains however didn't live up to our past experience--2 of the 3 left more than half of the hogfish on their plate and the 3rd person who ordered the hogfish agreed. When Tim noticed it he asked what was wrong--they said it wasn't very good and was definitely different than prior visits. He asked the manager to stop by and when Brian arrived he brought a very negative attitude with him!!! He became quite defensive, at times arrogant and definitely insulting--never have we encountered such impudence from anyone at this establishment let alone a manager nor should anyone!!! Needless to say we had our last meal at the Fish!!!!

Once again, Mystic Fish delivered where entertaining out-of-town guests are concerned. All of us loved our earlybird suppers and Dan was able to substitute lobster bisque for the soup. Total w/ wine for all and 3 desserts + tip was reasonable $150. Thanks for great food & service that is 100% reliable

We enjoyed a five star meal with family members this evening. We were fortunate to have Steven as our waiter. Steven is the epitome of a professional waiter. He was friendly, he was sociable and he was incredibly well informed about the dinners on the menu. There is nothing our table of five could have wanted that Steven could not have provided. He added a tremendous amount of warmth and good will to our dinner and he is exactly the reason we will be back on Saturday, at the same table, with Steven to make the dining experience complete!

My wife and I just had dinner there for the first and sadly the last time. Honestly one of the most over rated restaurants in town. Don't get me wrong, the place is nicely decorated and the fish tanks are beautiful BUT the food was bland and the service was slow and lacked any professionalism. We were never told the specials and waiting over 10 minutes to be greeted. The salmon was flavorless and the braised short ribs ( which had no rib in it ) were covered in brown gravy and tasted like a hungry man microwavable dinner. The only decent thing was the mashed potatoes and bread service. I've owned and managed casual and fine dining restaurants for over 25 years. Your money is better spent at establishment like Island Way or Berns. Hell, I've had a better meal at Outback. Note to management. Your hostess is rude and has no idea how to run a floor plan.

Have been there several times but this time was much more costly than planned. Food and atmosphere were great but we were not given early bird menus that should have been at 4:50. I understand orders have to be in the kitchen but 5:15. Ours was placed week before that. I didn’t want to make a stink. It was my husbands 70th birthday and we were a party of 8

This was our first time here. We came for our anniversary and really enjoyed the space. Would love to come back and try new items from the menu. Staff and the ambiance was great as well.

Another fabulous meal in the books! Great dinner at Mystic Fish last night. The cocktails were fantastic, the NY Strip was delicious, the grouper was wonderful and the service was superb. This id one of our go-to dinner places. We are lucky to live here.

I am a frequent guest of Mystic Fish (and provide gift certificates for there, as well). My (former) neighbor had just relocated from Clearwater to the Palm Harbor area, and I wanted to treat her to an outstanding fine dining experience .. She had the crusted salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the lamb, and it was delicious, as usual. Each of our selections were plentiful, along with an impressive "presentation." Though we ate early, 4:30 PM, the restaurant filled up quickly; there was NO issue, however, insofar as attentiveness by our server. ALWAYS one of my very favorite restaurants!
