This is a Michelin Guide restaurant and I want to come back and try all the items. Big parking lot for free parking. Staff was not as attentive as I would have like. Strange situation where there seemed to be more staff than customers so maybe there was confusion. My table had everything I needed so my meal was not interrupted. Getting carry out containers and my bill took longer than expected. This place looks a little rough on the outside but it is extremely clean and some what fancy on the inside. I ordered the combination Pho with steak and meatballs. I also got the Bahn Chen (Rice cubes). The Pho is huge and I had to get a container to take the rest home. The rice cubes are a nice treat. I will definitely return.

Nam Phuong Buford Highway offers fantastic Vietnamese food with a great selection of dishes. The Thai tea was sweet and delicious, perfectly complementing the meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The only downside was the parking lot, which can be a bit hectic. Despite this, the quality of the food and service makes it well worth the visit.

Loveeeee this place, one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in atl. I’ve been several times and every time it is absolutely delicious and the service is always good. This time I had the salt and pepper tofu, the glazed chicken wings, and the grilled beef in betel leaves rolls. I can’t recommend them enough!

The restaurant has very delicious Vietnamese flavors. Eating rice for 6 people with many dishes is like having a party. A place to try when you come to Atlanta. Next time you come back, you will stop by to eat again.

This is my go to for Pho in Atlanta. Food is great. Restaurant is great. Service is great to go or dining in.

This is one of Atlanta’s best kept secrets. My favorite is the Vietnamese coffee. The stirfry noodles and really anything they put on my table. The service is always amazing and attentive.

I came here for dinner with some friends! Been craving some good quality pho for a while now and Nam Phuong delivered. I made my own pho with brisket and the soup was flavorful. The bowl was large and very filling. Service was quick, and the environment was clean and modern looking.

The restaurant wasn't clean . The chairs and table was sticky . We ordered phos and shaken beef . The pho was good but shaken beef was salty.

Born and raised Vietnamese American— this food was legit!! Reminds me of my childhood. My cousin and I ordered the dinner for 4. The appetizer (goi) was better than the old ladies that prepared party foods for family gatherings. Canh chua ca was just perfect. I can’t wait to visit Atlanta again

We experienced the loudest dinner atmosphere here for dinner tonight and the owner/team did nothing about it. We could barely hear each other talking at dinner. The food was good, but we won’t be back.

Easily the best Vietnamese I’ve eaten in the metro Atlanta area. We tried this for the first time about a month ago and have already been back two more times with friends and family.

We ate here after seeing videos on Youtube and reading the reviews here. We planned to have a couple of apps before hitting a couple of other restaurants. PROs: We ordered the banh hoi and the fried rice cubes. Both were delicious. CONs: The staff. They weren’t rude, but I don’t know if they all just returned from a funeral because none of them smiled and nor projected a “glad youre here” feeling. Our server checked on us just once and we waited quite awhile to get our check - matter of fact, I had to chase down another server for our check. Food was great, but the service needs improvement. We won’t be back because there are so many other places that actually appreciates customers. YMMV.

Great service. Some dishes are really great. I came here a few times before the pandemic and it was ok but has upped its game. It is surrounded by ratty businesses and doesn't look so savory from the outside. Inside, they've created a more pleasant space with upscale furnishings. The service was attentive and patient. I was looking for a specific dish that has had flat sections of vermicelli. Commonly, it is wrapped in lettuce and rice paper. When I was not sure that we were talking about the same thing, he pulled out his phone and showed me a picture. The Banh Hoi was delicious. There were generous portions of vegetables for the wrap. The pork was flavorful but more refined in its portion. The fish sauce was tasty, neither bland nor as bold as some of the other places. Again, the server was very helpful and explained how to dip the rice paper and use it as a wrap. I went back to try some other dishes and got the short ribs in chili sauce. They were dry little knots of meat on tiny little bones. It didn't occur to me until afterwards, but I don't know what animal has those size ribs. When I ordered I was thinking of the typical Vietnamese beef short ribs that are family sliced. These ribs had tiny little bones that were smaller than a pencil. I was busy going through my usual quandary of how you eat ribs with chopsticks and didn't really think about what animal this was until later. Anyway, the vegetables were fresh and the sauce was tasty. Additionally, this place was quite affordable. I've avoided it, because it wasn't a great experience in the past. I don't know that I really agree with the Michelin star but some of this is really excellent and a great deal for the price.

This spot never disappoints. The staff are kind and helpful. Food is OUT of this world! Our favorite are the Clams in Black Bean Sauce and Papaya Salad with shrimp. Soo tasty!

Cá kho tộ over here is the best in town!

Restaurant is outdated and overrated, in my opinion. We had three dishes, and only one was barely okay. The Banh Xeo was the worst Banh Xeo I have had in a restaurant. The fish soup was super sweet and the squid wok was okay. The service staff was kind.

I found this place based on reviews and ratings on Google. The combination pho was so good, with a variety of tender meats. The fried spring rolls(Cha gio) were also tasty. The coffee(Cafe sua da) was great, and everything was excellent. The service was fast and the staff were polite.

This place is fantastic! We ordered a few things, one is the family meal for under $40, which included three delicious dishes: canh chua ca, ca kho to, green beans stir fry with beef, and a jelly dessert. What a steal! We also had two pho with plenty of meats and flavorful broth. Despite arriving about an hour before closing, the restaurant was still full. The food came out quickly, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Favorite Atlanta spot for Vietnamese, nice full menu with many different options. Wad a bit hit or miss a few years ago after a change of management but glad to see and taste the dishes back up to standard. Prefer getting my pho here over the local pho shops.

Had a pretty good sampling of pho, spring rolls, and wings. Broth was good. The wings were amazing. No pictures, but I aim to go back for some just for those wings.

Our favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta. Our families is here twice a month. Quality of Food, friendly services each and every single time. We always choose family dinner styles.

Service is sometimes slow, especially when busy, but busy means great food. So pick your battles. My family comes here about once a month. Great food, and the owner is very nice.

There are numerous Vietnamese spots in the area and we chose this one on the flip of a coin. It was a good coin flip. I had the shrimp spring rolls and the wife had the fried egg rolls and I highly recommend both. Of course the main reason was the phõ and it didn't disappoint at all. The fresh herbs and sprouts to accompany were crisp and fragrant, almost like they were just picked. Really good place to go for sure. Real appreciative for the fresh orange slice in the water for a refreshing offset from just plain water.

It's a great place to get some Vietnamese food. We have been here 2x just from passing through. Last night we came at closing and they were happy to serve up hot meals for us. Well cooked and happy services at closing hour. Kudos to the establishment.

Great traditional Vietnamese food!

Usually full from 4pm until closing because it’s just great. People complain about the pho being one size but it’s very reasonably priced. Their food is just the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had in Ga. Their caramelized cat fish… 🤤🤤 chefs kiss. The owners are always in there helping their team serve and cook. They are amazing people, very personable attentive staff. Love them! Their food… definitely an amazing spot for a family dinner. I’ve been coming here for years!! Their pho broth is literally THE BEST.

My new favorite pho place to eat. I ordered the make your own chicken rolls which is a meal in itself, it was very delicious. Also ordered a Bun Vermicelli bowl with chicken and shrimp also delicious. My sister ordered the Shrimp Pho excellent flavors and definitely not stingy with the vegetables! I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend when I shared my regular Pho place wasn't the same the past few months. The Pho broth is clean and classic. I normally don't eat anything other than pho but the Shaking Beef was recommended and it swept me away 💯 Will be coming here regularly from now on. Delicious!

It was a good experience. The food was cooked to perfection, and the helpings were more than ample. I had not had any Vietnamese food since I was in Viet Nam in the late 1960s, and it was much better here than it was there. The real standout at the restaurant was the vegetables - everything was FRESH. The real surprise for me was their Nuoc Mam sauce - it was light and mild, compared to the thick, spicy, pungent style I had overseas. Must be a regional variation. The menu runs on for several pages - pick anything, you won't be disappointed.

It's worth the drive if you live in town.

This delicious family friendly restaurant rivals any bougie'er Vietnamese restaurant in the 'burbs! The food is fresh, flavorful, wholesome and tasty. The menu was so expansive and overwhelming with choices that I asked a friend to order for me and we had a group meal where we shared everything. It was a fun and fabulous experience! But I have no idea what the items were called. The service is very friendly. We had a baby in a high chair at our table and she got food on the floor. When we tried to clean up, the waitress stopped us, and lovingly told us she had a baby too at one time. It was a very sweet response to the mess. The place got really crowded really early on in the evening because we sat down right at 5:30 on a Saturday, and half the restaurant was empty, but by six it looked like it does in the pic! The service stayed consistent and prompt even with the crowd. Every staff member was helpful and kind. The parking lot is tight and sketchy. Be very aware of both questionable pedestrians and unevenly designated parking. It's on an oddly shaped piece of property so there's not much they can do. Just a heads up to be cautious both walking to and maneuvering your vehicle.

Great selection of foods & everyone was very nice. I will say that the portions were a good size, however, gave very little meat in all the dishes compared to other restaurants for same price. More rice and noodles than anything.

Really enjoyed myself here today for lunch, I came in because a friend suggested it. I ordered (#7) the shrimp and crab rolls to start and (#69) bbq pork egg roll noodles as my entree. My friend got the combination pho as his entree. Everything came out in a timely matter and tasted very fresh. They have a great amount of options on the menu definitely will be back to try more!

We go here pretty much monthly and have had almost everything on the menu. The head chef is truly talented, and my family feels very grateful that we have food that tastes this authentic in Atlanta. You wont be disappointed by ordering any of the food on their menu. However, the restaurant could use a little reno to make it look more clean, modern, and a better atmosphere.

Decided to try this place out since it's a Michelin recommendation. Parking is a nightmare but the food was amazing. Ordered the shaking beef and it was so so tender! The flavor was awesome too! Can't wait to try the papaya salad next time.

Congratulations on the getting onto the Michelin Guide! It's been 2 years since we've been back and the pho soup was clean and flavorful. Good amount of meat and noodles (a bit over cooked but at least it didn't clump together). The rice plate was plentiful and balanced. We enjoyed our meal. Just be careful with parking, it can be a bit tight and sometimes the trucks rolls in. So move slowly.

Good food, just too crowded. Sometimes they serve cold food, but otherwise the food was good, beware of the price though.

Incredible popular place for dinner. Very good prices and very good food. The service is quick and efficient. Dinner for two is about $40, and you end up with a completely full stomach.

We absolutely love this place. We used to come here on the weekends and bring friends with us when we lived in Atlanta. We came back to Atlanta for the holidays and this was on top of our list. Luckily it has not changed food quality wise. The atmosphere is old school. The service a bit spotty. BUT as long as the food stays the same, we'll always come back.

I wish I had taken photos of the food because the plating was so nice. The food was delicious and the servings were generous. We had spring rolls for appetizers and main dishes of shaking beef, pho with 3 choices of meat, and a tofu dish whose name I can't remember. Highly recommended.

Exceptional Authentic Experience! While I am not from Vietnam, I eat Vietnamese food daily, and my parents would never bring me to a restaurant unless they cooked it better than themselves. Nam Phuong is an exceptional authentic experience for those who want to try something other than your typical Pho place. They offer many, many harder to find Vietnamese dishes such as Banh Canh, Bot Chien, Chim Cut. I have been eating at this restaurant (of 2 in Atlanta) for most of my life, and they are fabulous in their options. However, I give a 4 stars in the food because some dishes are unfortunately a miss as in the Banh Canh Cua and the Chim Cut on this day. Too little crab and anorexic birds respectively. Some dishes are just not as good on some days, I figure. If you are not Vietnamese, I do recommend ordering the Bot Chien (fried dough street dish), and Do bien rang muoi (salt and pepper seafood). These are my favorite dishes from one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants from the surrounding states. And believe me, if I drive 3 hours to Atlanta, I will be stopping in one of the Vietnamese restaurants, run by the Viets, for the Viets.

Get bottled water. The water they otherwise provided tasted and smelled like old, dish water with a hint of moldy soap. Food was generally fine, nothing special — granted the prices are totally reasonable, so nothing special is to be expected, but just know this isn’t some cheap hole-in-the-wall with stellar food. Service was slow, especially considering we made it clear the water was undrinkable. Overall, not bad, but not worth stopping for.

Just visited it today before heading to the airport. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I wish the meat was a little tender but definitely a great place to go and have a great meals without getting ripped off.

This is the best Vietnamese spot I've ever been to. The salt & pepper squid is SO unique. I always get this. The shaking beef (bo luc loc) is also fantastic.

I’ve been coming here for the past month and this is my third time and last time, the food is great I must say. But there is some slight of prejudice attitude towards people of my culture as I am a brown person with dreadlocks. As I type this I’m watching servers go check on every table but mines, no one asked if I need anything else. You would think the only person who order the full lobster in the dining room would get some type of customer service. Please change the music in the dining room to classical instead of Urban HipHop if you aren’t fully welcoming to my culture. I’ll never eat here again, from the stares (why are you here looks), gossip and giggling these people need to heal and get some help. God Bless

Enjoy each time my partner and I go in. The Fish Sauce wings are Yummy to my tummy. The Noodle Soups and Stews are delicious. I’ve never been disappointed since locating this place off instagram. I leave full and happy each visit

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Atlanta

Good food, good service. They were full the before Thanksgiving yet still managed to accommodate us five people by squeezing a chair at the end of a booth. Food was delicious as always. Start with "shaking-off the bone-beef" and.... all of it did so deserve the recent"Michelin mention". Well done...

Fabulous value for the money, comfortable setting and wonderful service at this spot! Cannot wait to come back and try more items from the menu. Will absolutely be reordering the salt & pepper shrimp 🤤 & the spring rolls are a steal- less than $5 for two huge rolls. Parking lot was full so we parked on the nearby side street. Definitely a MUST TRY on Buford Highway.

There are a lot of Vietnamese options on Buford Highway but this is the best by a long mile. It’s very difficult to find authentic Vietnamese food that has all of the options I loved growing up, well Nam Phuong certainly had it all covered. This is now our go-to Vietnamese spot and there’s no other question. Loads of vegan and vegetarian options too.
