Excellent service every time I come in.

Long wait was totally worthwhile for the most delicious & flavorful meal I have ever had in a long time!! And staff is so friendly and caring! Was offered a drink while I was waiting! Awesome customer service!😍🍗🍔🥪🥙🍟🧄🍞🥔🍚🍰🍋🥤❤️👍🏻

I love eating here, it's a but on the pricier side but well worth the money. The chicken is always juicy and we'll cooked, the fries are good quality but it's the seasoning on them that make it unique. I tend to always get the grilled wings. So many places have these giant wings and you just know that the chickens they use are probably overfed and groomed to be slaughtered. These are small and flavorful. To top it off the naughty Natas are my favorite dessert there and definitely worth a try. I'd give a 6/5 if I could.

We are kind of early about 6pm central time. The place is nice and cozy with a South African theme. The food is good but they are skimpy on the portions. As you can see from the picture the piece of chicken is kind of small and that was a chicken breast. If it’s a chicken restaurant then give me some chicken.

I didn't expect this place have awesome food! The chicken was so juicy. The sauces meshed well with the rest of the dish. The drinks were so refreshing. Thanks to my server Nick!

One of the few affordable places left to get a good meal in the West Loop. The chicken is the star here at this rustic outpost. The marinated sauce selection is outstanding -- something for everyone. Dining area is spacious, if not a tad dark, but there is a nice, bright and quiet patio area in the back away from all the hustle and bustle of the West Loop.

Incorrect order, Mac&Cheese side was 1/4 full

My husband and I love Nando's. He's hard to please when it comes to hot sauce but he loves the extra hot Peri Peri sauce here. I love the hummus and order it with extra seeds. You can get the hummus with cucumber and/or bell peppers if you want to be healthier. Their pita bread is delicious too though.

this nando's is seriously such a gem. the staff makes you feel like family every time you walk in. they are so friendly and helpful and kind. and the ranch is just magic from heaven which is a cherry on top.

Nando’s has been excellent everytime I have gone. I’ll often get the nandoca’s choice which is simply an excellent chicken sandwich. But what separates this restaurant in particular is the service. Every time I have been in the staff is EXCITED to serve. They are always friendly and thoughtful about their customers needs. I get the feeling that they are really trying to make it the best experience possible for everyone who comes in. Couldn’t recommend more!

Used to be THE BEST LOCATION! This is the second time in two weeks that I’ve ordered delivery and the chicken (thighs) has been UNDERCOOKED. Not cool

The flavor was great. A few different sauces was nice too. Only issue is the portions are really small and a little pricey. Go if not that hungry....

Nando’s is one of those chicken places that’s a deviation from the norm. It’s unlike most places you’d find in the US, and that makes sense as its origins hail from South Africa with a portuguese spin. The day long marinade and cooking style yields some of the most tender chicken you’ll savor. I’ve been going to Nando’s for over 12 years and each visit is a delight. The only two places I’ve seen these is in DC & Chicago. I feel so cheated that Detroit has none and here in Chicago they have more than 5. I beg someone to open one up in or closer to Detroit. And lastly the ambience of the restaurants are very cool, think eclectic rustic art studio from Africa. Ordering is very simple too, as you can order from the counter or table. Bravo Nando’s…after a decade of patronage you still deliver great eats!!!

This one-star rating is specific to the lunch hour and my most recent experience here. I have been a customer of Nando’s in the West Loop on multiple occasions, dining in and ordering online. This time I placed an order online at 12:15 PM to be picked up at 12:45 PM. I have placed the exact same order on previous occasions and have had no issue for the most part. This time my experience was significantly worse. I go into the store at 12:43 PM and am greeted by a hostess, albeit friendly, who asks me if I’ll be dining or takeout. I state takeout, so she told me that I should wait to the side where they’ll call my name. She never asked me for my name, but it seemed like the process was a name would be shouted once an order was ready. On previous occasions, I have gone up to cash register area and my order is usually already ready. At 12:50 pm, no one has called my name, so I find the closest employee to figure out if they have my order because usually one of the perks of ordering online is that it’ll be ready by the time selected. Someone interjects, I’m later told this is the manager Joshua, and asks me for my name. I give my name. He looks at the tickets that are in progress and tells me there are 14 orders ahead of me. I tell him I placed an online order more than 30 minutes ago, to which he responds, you’ve only been waiting 11 minutes because we’ve only received this order at 12:39, and more or less states that it’s not his problem. I try to show him the email confirmation I received of the order at 12:17, but he’s completely disengaged at this point. I’m not sure what I did to warrant the rude and dismissive response, but objectively, I placed the order to avoid having to wait with the expectation that my $16 bowl would be ready at the selected time. I’m not sure how I’m responsible for their delayed POS system, but I would have been willing to overlook the delay if I had a decent customer experience, such as even indicating how much longer it would take. There are many corporate offices in the area, so it’s silly to presume people are able to wait for an unspecified time, during lunch especially, when they placed a takeout order online ahead of time. The straw that broke the camel’s back is what I received after waiting almost an additional 15 minutes. Again, I have had this bowl before from this location. The one I received today did not reflect the $16 cost. On top of that, I was provided no silverware, which I couldn’t tell until after I returned to my office because the bag was stapled. I had to go hunting for a fork, which sounds easy enough, but my office avoids plastic ware. All-in-all, made me wish I ordered from somewhere else.

Love Nando’s in the UK, but this Nando’s USA experience was frustrating. They didn’t have the 2 sides that we ordered (Brussels sprouts and cauliflower). The music was very loud (much louder than in the UK). So we end up not eating there.

Lost some quality due to my order being takeout but overall ok.

Nando's has good food. I have been to a couple different Nando's and they all have been good and the chicken has never been dry. However, this has been the worst one I have been too and it is all because of service. The employees and managers just ignore you and play on there phones after you go in and wait at the sign that says to wait to be seated. They will look up but will not come over and seat you. It will take about 7 mins of you standing there before someone will decide to come and seat you.

Great food at a good price in an excellent part of Chicago

The place was dead on a Sunday night but had to wait over 20 mins for two salad orders. The salads had nothing in the bowls. Wouldn't order here again. Pure ripoff

The vibe is spectacular here. The food is exactly what we were looking for. Josh, the manager, was super friendly.

Love nandos. However, at this branch, we received our orders wrong and chicken was raw and undercooked. Not a crowded night.

Try the Clybourn location instead - this one has dry chicken. Also servers let your food sit around talking instead of serving it right when it’s ready.

This used to be a reliable go to. Good food, reasonable prices. Though the services have often been questionable. Alas, this last time we went we all got upset stomach/ food poisoning. I guess we won't be coming back.

Jose took great care of me and my wife. After an issue, Jose really stepped up and fixed the problem. He made our night a very enjoyable one. We would definitely come back every time possible. Best Portuguese chicken you can ever try I would highly recommend this place in the busy area in the West loop Chicago.

Rude attitude towards clients , The staff leaves much to be desired

Love the staff here at Nando's. They are honest and extremely helpful. I lost my phone and they kept it for 2 days while I searched for it. They are awesome!

Ordering is a mess, food is marginally cooked. This place has really gone down hill over the last year or so. Totally avoid, way too many better options around.

Delicious food for a good price!

Terrible service. We came in as a family of 5, but because the kids were not very hungry, we ordered some fries and wings for them to share, while the adults had full bowls. Only 1 bowl order was fulfilled (cashier made the error) and the kids wings. Pointing out the mistake and having gone back to pay for the missing bowl, plus additional fries to give the kids something to stay put for. The bowl and the fries were brought over with a small bowl of mashed potatoes, to which we expressed the fact that we didn’t order it; however bc it was a mistake and would prob now just get tossed out, we can just give it to the kids to share, so please just leave it… to which the waitress replied saying “I’m not going to leave any free food here” and took it away… So they made a mistake and brought my meal AFTER everyone was done at the table, then messed up the order, but instead of rectifying it in ANY possible way, was actually more rude… insisting she’d like to throw a way a $4 bowl of potatoes than leaving it for the kids. Never coming back here again.

Everything is literally 10/10. I can’t get over how amazing the food is almost as great as the service. My order has always been accurate & so what if they make a mistake it’s human nature, they’re not robots. Everyone here is sooo accommodating, friendly & efficient. Honestly that’s really what keeps me coming back

The food was good, but getting the entire order proved far more difficult than it should have been. After ordering, they forgot one of our side dishes and both of our drinks. No big deal, we let the staff know what was missing. They brought two cups for soft drinks. That was wrong again. One was supposed to be a tea that is located behind the counter (so no access). They also forgot the side dish a second time. Basically, they messed up the order, were informed how to fix it, then screwed it up again in the exact same way. The food was good. But man, that wasn't good service.

Great atmosphere, music, art and food. Really liked the sauces they had and spice levels. The new sweet heat Mac and cheese tastes really good.

We stopped at this Nando’s on our way to a Blackhawks game. The restaurant is big and beautiful, everybody that worked there was friendly and extremely helpful. We had a great meal, the chicken was world class. All the location we have visited in Chicago has been fantastic!

The food was ok and served to our table, but getting a seat took a long time because the staff was busy. Once we finally got a seat, we were able to order through the app and pay from our phones, so that was easy. Didn’t feel like a great dine in experience.

It was my first time visiting this location. I treated 2 of my friends who had never been to any of Nando's locations, and all of us were very pleased.

Consistent quality and taste. Delicious! Wish they kept the mangoo sauce available and sold it in bottles. Definitely woth at least once.

This place is a joke. Walked in the front door and there is a sign that said "Wait to be greeted and seated" So, we did and after several eye contact with employees of which none greeted us or even acknowledge us. Obliging by their sign, I asked the cashier if the sign was accurate, she said, I could sit wherever I wanted. Still did not get greeted. Waited for a server to stop by the table we selected and several of them walked pass us, still no greeting or acknowledgement of us being at a table so we decided to leave, if the food is as poor as the non-customer service is. This place deserves no stars...

I don't get it. The sides are bland and small, the chicken is fairly run of the mill, and the cost is ridiculously out of line. I've eaten here a few times before passing judgment just to be sure. Perhaps the only redeeming thing is the Coke Freestyle machine. Nando's is, as defined by several of my South African buddies, "no better than kfc". I guess it's seeing a renaissance as an upscale chicken joint, but it's really nothing more than mediocre overpriced street food.

I swear I only come here for the chicken. Kitchen guys 5 stars you guys always do a great job cooking great food! I can’t remember the last time I did a review but I am taking my time doing this review cause I hate how much the service here sucks. The saucy guy and lazy girl always on the phone never want to take our orders at the kiosk always forcing us to order online via our phone. When it’s so easy to just take our order. It’s aggravating to be honest. It ruins the experience. I swear I come back because of the chicken and the guys cooking not messing up. But the service is always a sour taste in my mouth.

I wanna thank Cynthia and her crew making our baby shower the most best party ever the food was great everyone really love the mashed potatoes lol and the rice. But everything was amazing I really appreciate it so much I will definitely plan a party again here in the future.

The vegan option is very lackluster.

I much prefer this location to the others in Chicago. This location had some top notch staff and the food was great. The interior is more chic and kitsch than the others as well. If you want a little better Nandos experience, this is the place for it.

Being from England we love a cheeky Nando’s. Sadly this was one of the worst I have been to. The place was pretty empty and as I entered was not greeted in anyway, all the staff were down the end by the grill chatting. I helped myself to the menu and then walked to the counter to order. I waited about 5-6 minutes before someone by the grill yelled up to asking if I was picking up food. I said no I would like to place an order to go, which was met with we don’t take orders find the QR code at a table and order online. The food was cold, the wrap was not even wrapped or cut in half. I would not recommend this place to anyone on a Tuesday at 7pm. Whoever the servers were management need to have a talk with them on customer care.

Wow! Love this place. First time here. Unique menu compared to other spots I go to. Great service. Love the Coke freestyle machines and the variety of sauces to choose from. Nice atmosphere too! Definitely will come back next time I’m in the area.

Got take out. Ordered ahead on the web. It wasn’t ready when they said it would be so there was a wait. Surprisingly empty that day. I remember the hype when it first opened and you couldn’t get a seat. The chicken has been the same since day one. Still great. I think they changed the fries since they started and not for the better.

We had to order five different times and we had to keep getting up because their app kept updating inventory. The first time we ordered, it wouldn’t go through because they didn’t have mashed potatoes. However the app doesn’t tell you what’s wrong with order so it just doesn’t go through. So we would have to get up and go to counter and ask. Then the next thing they didn’t have was mango lime for the chicken. Then our second choice lemon herb ran out. It was an endless cycle of getting up and ordering. Then to put the icing on the cake, the drink option wasn’t available. We get that it’s not the staff’s fault but this isn’t the first time where the online ordering has malfunctioned.

Went to the West Loop Chicago location. Love Nandos so much!!! Been a part of my casual dining life from Zimbabwe, Australia and now in the USA. Looking forward to Houston location opening soon.

Little food for a lot of money.

Have been going to Nando's for years and always looked forward to juicy chicken. However, this time, it was clearly pre-cooked and then microwaved. It was dry and disappointing. The other thing I noticed (on thurs 04/06/23) was that despite the restaurant having 20% occupancy, that, many tables had dirty empty plates on them throughout the whole time we were there. This was surprising since there were plenty of staff around (7 or 8).

The food is really good. However terrible service. Very unorganized.

Quick service too, with online menu and payment method. Recommend the half-chicken option for a single person. Conveniently located in the Westloop area on the famous Randolf street. Consider planning for parking nearby at a garage as it might be expensive to valet park your car on the street during a busy day.

Nandos is the bomb. I’m always grabbing extra medium sauce!

Store was a bit of a hot mess due to a brown out. Food took a while but came out good!

I went to Scotland and 4 out of 9 meals there were at Nandos I love their chicken that much. Saw the location in Chicago and had to try. Delicious!! Always fresh and their marinade is the best ever. I’d get Nando’s even if not very hungry. Quick online ordering in restaurant and brought to my table.

These people hang up the phone on you and never answer the phone. I’m extremely mad this customer service at this location is terrible

Not big portions but great food

My wife and I stopped in to grab a little snack to try things out. We were basically taking a mini food tour for the day during the rainy, windy cold weather. We got a chicken breast, a chicken thigh, and some fried halloumi. We also tried all of the sauces available. Unsurprisingly, the thigh was juicier and tastier and all of the sauces were good. The breast was also good, but as expected it was a bit drier and less flavorful. We would love to come back sometime to try a full meal. We both thoroughly enjoyed what we had.

What great food this was my first visit and it was great and very filling. Each bite of my food was a flavor explosion and not overdone it was just right. Very healthy compared to other diet options in the area at the 2:00 pm hour.

Despite being closing time, my partner and I got really fresh and delicious chicken! The server was friendly, and the atmosphere cozy. I got the halloumi and chicken salad, and it was incredibly delicious! Nandos never fails!!

The staff does not know how to communicate with customers, they lie. long time waiting for order

One of the nicest Nandos Ive been in in the city. At first it seemed out of place being in the newly renovated factory district with its fancy restaurants and clubs but the decor inside was amazing. Although Nandos is a bit high in the price range for the portions you recieve the food was exceelwnt, and the staff was very courteous

Servers were very courteous. This location serves Nando’s chicken spot on! The family platter is enough for 3 people. The sides that come with it are large!

Peri peri sauce is always tangy and pairs well with chicken. The chicken is not dry and the skin adds a lot of extra flavor.

The chicken seemed this time to be microwaved and not grilled. We have been there before and it was good.

This is my first time writing a review…I felt compelled to share as I have benefited from other people’s feedback in the past. I was disappointed with the service I received from the West Loop location…the fries were very dry and over cooked. I had ordered an extra portion because I have always enjoyed food from here but just shocked how poor the service was, I’m not sure if it was just a one time thing or staff needing some guidance or training. Very disappointed.

Had a bad experience today. I checked with cashier about the wait time for table service. after she gave a word for service in 5mins , sat down in a table. 5th minute cutlery set been given but even after more than 12mins , none of the waitresses stop by though they were not busy. Later I went back to cashier and got to know I have to order online and they would bring it. But I don't wanna waste my time, so walked out without eating. How do the customer know? No signs on the table or anywhere close by, my table was clean and empty. It gives a message that anyone can come and sit inside for sometime and no one will bother. Finally when am heading out without eating frustrated, manager came to me with a coupon for next visit and apologized. Not immediately but sometime later I would try to visit once.

Deceptive advertising- the receipt shows $3 charge for cauliflower side, when no such amount exists in paper or online menu. Mentioned this to manager and she kept repeating that it’s a new item, so the price will come down to the menu price eventually!!!

Amazing delicious indeed! We ordered Peri-Peri (hot) Chicken Bowl and 1/2 Chicken (medium spicy) and Chips. The chicken was so tender and flavorful .. yummy!

The taste of the food was not only fresh, it was delicious. And affordable to boot, we are already planning to come back for lunch tomorrow. I'll have to grab some pics then to show how good the food was...but I ate it too fast to grab some today...lol

5 stars for the food, minus 2 stars for the carry out service. I’ve been in the fast food business for many years (owned/operated). It pains me to see an outstanding concept sometimes being run so poorly. There are a few bad apples spoiling the bunch. But most importantly, PLEASE USE BETTER SANITATION PRACTICES WHEN HANDLING FRONT LINE ORDERS. NO CELL PHONES ON THE LINE!!!! 🥴

This Nando's location is close to Fullerton area and nearby several office location. They have mobile ordering system for both dine in and pickup. Good size Lunch portions; you can pick the spice level for meat 🍖. Try platters of you happen to be here in groups. Vegetarian options are available too.

First timer to Nando's and it was great! Fantastic flavor, very moist and tender chicken. I ordered the peri peri half chicken, mild. Loved it.

Tried this for the first time. My friend said they have them all over the U.K. It was so good. Garlic Toast is a must, and the rice was perfect. A lot of options as well.

The West Loop location has a beautiful, spacious interior, and service is quick and friendly. I got the 1/4 chicken with lemon & herb and a side of Macho Peas. The peas had a great mix of textures and good flavor profile. I tried 3 different sauces to go with the chicken— extra hot, medium, and garlic. None of them were crazily spicy honestly, not even the extra hot, so I for sure could’ve gone more spicy with the chicken itself. The chicken was really amazingly cooked— tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The plates are also beautifully presented.

Really good food and great service. If you like spicy, definitely try the hottest sauce!
