Small but great ice cream parlor, with retro-style booths and decor. A wide selection of bottled soft drinks. The highlight is the amazing variety of ice cream flavors made right on the premises. Also do coffees and teas. Note: The building is large from the outside, but Neighbors only takes up part of it. The previous general store (see cover photo) is no longer there.

They have really good homemade ice cream and offer unique flavors that are usually not offered at other ice cream shops. The staff is friendly and there's plenty of seating inside. AC is really cool inside so it's the perfect spot to cool off.

I visit FL in the summers and I’m almost sad I discovered this place because I miss it so much when I’m out of the state! The homemade coffee ice cream (actually made with coffee) is to die for. I don’t even get toppings on it because it’s delicious on its own. I’ve tried a dozen flavors and none of them disappoint. I was afraid I overhyped this place to my family members over the last two years but they visited and said I was 100% spot on! I highly recommend it.

If you wanna enjoy the rest of the day with homemade ice creams in Port Orange, less sugar and not for sweet tooth. Coffee flavor is recommended by me!

The best ice-cream place and general store in the whole Daytona Beach/Port Orange area!! I love their THAI TEA ICE-CREAM! The banana bread is also something I take it home with me. They have a lot of variety of sodas from places. Their daily changing menus for cakes and bakery is simply enticing! 100% recommended!

Though there was a small wait, the staff were friendly and handled the rush well. The ice cream was great and the place had a nice classic general store/ice cream shoppe feel to it.

I was born and raised here and remember when Neighbors opened years ago... Always wanted to make it in but never did until tonight as per our daughter's birthday request. Tiona was our cashier and did a phenomenal job getting everything together for all of us even as more and more people started piling in the place! She and the Manager did a wonderful job together to keep the flow steady. Thank you again Tiona for making my 1st experience here great! The Caramel Macchiato was perfect ✨🙌🏽✨ Definitely time and money well spent! Will be back again soon 🌟

They have quite the selection of homemade ice cream. They even have some for dogs. Their sandwiches and salads are homemade too. So yummy. They also have an awesome selection of old school sodas.

My friends, investment company orders pies from this store every year at Thanksgiving. Two years ago and also this past year I was invited to share dessert with her and her family. It was the most amazing pie I have ever had in my life. They order pumpkin, so that’s what she had, I have not cared for pumpkin in the past, I will eat it, but it’s not my favorite. This pie was amazing I could not get enough. Now I’m on the quest to call the store and order a birthday pie for her. I can hardly wait because I know she will share it with me. So yummy.

There is a sweet young lady that works here by the name of jamie, she has very good customer service and made me a very nice ice cream sunday.

Yummy Homemade ice cream. They had lots of flavors to choose from and they were all delicious. my family of 6 tried lots of different flavors. The banana bread was great too. We're so lucky we had great recommendations while we are here for the races. Daytona and Port Orange are great for finding AWESOME small businesses, and this is one of them. We're already planning our trip for next year.

Literally the best place to get Ice cream, hands down. They have the most fresh ice cream selections in this area. All from local creameries, small family owned and operated. Also has a light lunch menu to choose from. You cant beat the area either, childrens park across the street, made for a nice family outing. They make special cakes and pies as well. Must stop

Our first time here after visiting the park across the road. I was told by another customer that the sweet potato pie was really delicious so I sampled it and it was so good I bought a Medium. I also sampled the purple cotton candy and it was the best cotton candy ice cream I've ever had. Definitely worth a visit much better than Ritters

I could come here everyday. Delicious homemade ice cream and fresh baked desserts. This time we left with a peach cobbler milkshake, a cup of strawberry mango sorbet, a slice of pumpkin cheesecake, a brownie, and a banana bread loaf. They also have a great lunch menu and coffee.

Everytime my husband and I vacation in Ormond Beach we drive here to get ice cream, multiple nights in a row. Fantastic from the service to the atmosphere and most important… the ice cream. Everytime we eat ice cream back home in PA my husband comments it’s ok, but it’s not Neighbors.

We had lunch and ice cream. The sandwiches and salads were good and fresh. The ice cream was fabulous!!! Every flavor we had was really great!! The affagato was the only disappointment...wouldn't recommend it. Everything else was a definite thumbs up!

WOW! great selection of ice cream, cones, serving options. Flavors you've never heard of, and servings are HUGE! i wish they were smaller because I wanted to try 2 flavors but after seeing the size of the scoops, I opted for only one. Nutella with oreos. YUM! really good selection of coffees, and old school sodas in actual glass bottles. Can't go wrong here unless you don't like ice cream and delishiousness.

Their ice cream is the best! It was creamy, well balanced in flavor and sweetness, and it did not have that artificial taste that is often found in these kinds of treats. They had a good variety of flavors to choose from. In addition to delicious ice cream, they carry other dessert options, and a variety of soda! So happy we found this place, will definitely be back! Also the service was great—very friendly.

Tell your friends, tell your enemies this is probably the best ice cream in Florida. So many flavors. Regular flavors like vanilla are great and all the original flavors are so good. I am glad that I listened to the reviews and gave this place a shot since it was out of our way. I suggest the pirates coffee. There is flavor for everyone. They also have coffee and a section of bottled sodas and root beers. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!!!

The ice cream was an A+. Me and my wife and kids enjoyed that. My 3 star rating is because I ordered an espresso that I was hoping to enjoy with my ice cream cone. After 10 minutes, I did not receive my espresso (that was paid for) and kindly went up and asked if it was done. The worker said “oh I’m sorry I forgot to make it.” I said “no problem” and went back to my table to continue eating with my family. After ten more minutes went by, we were done eating and I had not received my espresso. We were ready to leave at that point and rather than make a scene with others in line, I went up and told the worker “just keep the espresso.” She then said “oh I’m so sorry let me go get that for you.” Needless to say, me and my family left without receiving the espresso yet having paid for it. The first forgetful moment by the worker was a mistake, but understandable. However, to make the espresso and then forget to bring it out after being reminded to make it to begin with was disappointing.

A great ice cream shop but not the easiest place to find. They do sundaes with sauce and toppings which are delicious and they have lots of flavours of ice cream.

So I have never heard of this place. I saw their ice cream on door dash and decided to give it a try. I had the Cookie Monster flavor and it was great. My only complaint is that the ice cream doesn’t have a seal on it.

I try to make a trip out to Neighbors whenever I'm in the area. Great Ice Cream and variety of coffee beverages. My kids are teens now and still love coming to this little gem in Port Orange. Thanks for the memories!

Great homemade ice cream - and everything else is good too!

Very good ice cream, but could have been great ... In general, the great base ice creams were lessened with choice of mixing items. For example, the Thai Tea ice cream was extremely impressive, but adding overly sweet white chocolate bits overpowered the Thai theme flavors in an incompatible way.... a better choice might be toasted coconut flakes. The coffee Heath Bar had very large chunks which overpowered the coffee ice cream. Key Lime was good but needed a lot more lime flavor. Salted Toffee was okay. Coconut Almond Joy was also okay and would be better with more well diced almond joy pieces. The Butter Pecan was exceptional, really the best I have had in a long time.

My wife and I stopped in the other day looking forward to an afternoon ice cream. We're from out of town and found it online. As others have commented the number of flavors is just incredible and it's just delicious. I had their Key Lime Pie and my wife had Coffee Heath Bar Caramel. Both were excellent. Plenty of seats on a warm afternoon and friendly service as well. Worth the drive!

Love 🥰 the fresh ice cream and whimsical decor. Got a slice of blackberry cheesecake and an ice cream. The view from the parking lot is also very nice. There's a tranquil pond there. Across the road is also a children's park and a dog park.

I come here all the time, i grew up with this place. Me, my sister and her boyfriend came here for ice cream. I ordered and my sisters boyfriend ordered ice cream. I finished quickly while my sister's bf took longer. My sister and her bf were sitting next to each other and an old woman, I have never seen there before came up to them and asked them not be so close, bc there was a group of little boys coming in and they shouldn't have to see that. They were confused but they did do what they were told. We weren't even in there for an hour and were told to leave, for no reason. The old lady didn't tell us why, she just said that we had to go outside, she wasn't even being polite about it. My sister's bf wasn't even finished with his ice cream. We were about to get up when the old lady came back and said "now" she didn't even give us time to grab our trash. She didn't care that there was 2 children running around the place screaming. And she didn't care about the group of boys dropping pizza onto the floor, yelling about burning their tongue on the pizza, and they were also being really annoying to other customers. The girl who took our order was very polite. And every other time i came here everyone was polite. Idk if she's new but I think she needs more training bc she should not be kicking out customers and not telling them what they did wrong.

I love coming here, its a very nostalgic place for me because of the style and ambiance. The cashiers are always friendly and the food is top notch. Its a good alternative to typical restaurants during the day for me. They have healthy options here which is a plus!

So on their website they carried Vegan ice cream. We decided to go there to give the local shops business. My wife asks them do you have vegan ice cream. Rudely the guy behind the counter states we used to but threw it all away. Then she asks him if the chocolate covered bananas were dark chocolate. Says nope just milk chocolate like it says. So needless to say we will take our business to a shop like Ben and Jerry's who offer a vegan option.

My grandparents used to bring me here every single time I visited them until I moved down here for college. I come here all the time now as they have delicious house made ice creams, along with many different ways to get your ice cream. The actual food is amazing too, and I’ve managed to get at least one of my friends hooked on this place. They can be a bit slow, but with only a couple employees working together at a time, there’s no reason to be mad at them for that. The staff is always wonderful and patient with all customers!

We took a trip to Port Orange two years ago. I got this coffee flavored ice cream with chocolate covered espresso beans that was so amazing. Loved it so much we went there twice during our trip. But two years later I STILL think about this ice cream. This is a MUST STOP HERE location.

I dont know what happened to the original neighbors but this current version i will never go back too. There is no more general store and now they took away the doggy ice cream and give the dogs whipped cream. I'd rather pay $1 and take her to Ritters for actual ice cream.

We went twice recently: once for lunch and once for ice cream and we loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food and ice cream were delicious. I was previously critical of the service but the store seems to have undergone some renovations and it has been very well improved. Can’t wait to return!

This place is the highlight of my trips. I come to Daytona every year with my family and every year we make sure to stop at neighbors. The staff is so nice, especially the owner. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious and its honestly some of the best I’ve had.They bake everything by hand and you can tell. Every pie, bar, and cake feels like it was baked with love and care. This place is such a joy and I recommend that everyone in the area should visit.

Went to neighbors ice cream after a day at the beach. The ice cream was so soft and tasted amazing! The waffle cones were also very good! Honestly one of the best waffle cones I've ever had! Hope to come back again soon!

The best egg croissants & iced coffee in town!

First time visiting today and it was delightful 🙂. The ice cream was delicious ( salted caramel) and the homemade desserts looked fantastic. We will definitely return to this quaint little place!
