Unbelievable food don't cheat yourself and no go

Service is always good. Daily Luncheons and Catfish fridays are always worth the trip.

This is a old general store/bank that's been converted into a restaurant. The staff and service were nice and welcoming. I had the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. It was delish. Hubby had the chicken fried steak and the baked potato. It wasn't well prepared or seasoned. I hear the catfish buffet on Fridays is the best. Overall, it was okay. The AC doesn't work properly, but they do have fans running.

2nd time eating there, but the food is delicious 😋. Waitresses are always nice too. Definitely worth th3 cost of eating out.

I had the best chicken fried steak sandwich of my life here yesterday!!! The service and atmosphere is always great in the food is always good but yesterday's meal was exceptional.

Waited almost 2 hours for our meal. 3 tables ordered after us and got their food in 20 minutes. Waitress couldn’t even find our order. 0/10.

The Friday Fish Fry was just great. Best fish I've had in years. Someone knows how to cook fish. And the Chicken tenders where perfect great flavor.

Visiting in the next town and this place was recommended , very cool environment, very good food, I had baked potato with BBQ... delish Hubby had double meat cheeseburger and had to take half back to room. Highly recommend 👌.

Breakfast here was delicious and service was friendly and fast. I got the sausage breakfast burrito and was impressed with the flavor. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this place. Hope to be back soon!

Catfish on Friday night was just okay, everything was all fried together and was cooked way too crunchy (overcooked) .. I thought the fried chicken tenders were better than the fish.. was disappointed the fish didn’t taste like real catfish but I will definitely go back and try them again.

We come in at 8pm, 1 hr til closing. We were 3 adults 4 kids. There was approximately 20 fish pieces left and a good handful of fries left. We each got enough for barely a single plate and the remainder of the time, it was not refilled or anything. I asked what time they stopped making buffet food and was told 9:30? Yet there was zero food. We were charged full buffet price for each adult and kids were charged as adults as well. Over $100 for a plate we had to scrape together. I used to love this place not sure what happened. I definitely would not recommend coming towards the end of the day at all. Really wish things would have turned out better!

It's ok, could do better on saying they close at 3 instead of open till 8 with open signs on, made a wasted drive for nothing

You better go to the bank before you come to this place the drinks here alone are $4 and then you still got to pay the cost of your burger and the tip for one person it's the least 20 bucks

This country restaurant is easy to miss if you don't know to look for it. The food here is great, they have a buffet as well as menu food.

HUGE burgers. Very cool old general store from 1906 (I think) People are friendly. Friday is all you can eat catfish. I'm sure there are other daily specials but I dont know what they are.

Came here with my girlfriend last weekend for breakfast because I've heard so many good things about the food. It definitely lives up to the hype and will now be our Saturday morning breakfast motorcycle ride destination.

the people are really nice friendly and personable, if anyone reads this review I recommend that you sit back a take some time to talki to owners and great people that work there, and have some of the best home cooking you'll ever have not at home.

Been eating here my entire life, if you ever want to try it out I'd definitely say go on Friday night because they have all you can eat catfish and chicken buffet.

Hole-in-the-wall outside, warm friendly service inside. Truly one of the best bacon cheeseburgers and steak fries! Excellent chicken fingers too. Topped off with a huge scoop of Blue Bell ice cream. If you are traveling on Hwy 79 definitely worth a stop.

We were passing through on a Thursday night about 8 p.m. and stopped in for dinner. The staff was all friendly and the atmosphere was great, and the food was superb! Burgers, chicken fried steak sandwiches, fries and onion rings....nothing disappointed!!! The sweet tea was southern approved! We had a kiddo with us and the owner watched and when we were finished eating he fired up his cotton candy machine and brought her a cotton candy for dessert! Great place to stop if you are ever around this area. But come hungry- you will leave stuffed!!

One of the best lunches I’ve ever had. I entered hungry and left full in every sense. It went beyond the bounds of nutrition, and right to the core of my being. The beautiful singing from the girls in the kitchen, “Alleluia, Alleluia” softened my heart, and I knew right then the food was being made with love. The hamburger steak was so delicious, juicy. Generous portion! Smothered in a flavorful gravy and caramelized onions, this amazing taste was bringing me to actual tears. The sweet tea was a perfect accompaniment to this dish, and it hit me that I drank the whole thing so quick. The song had switched to another with Jesus as the focus, and more beautiful singing from the kitchen. My full belly. My thirst quenched. My heart full of love in the moment, more than it could take. The tears poured out. Thank you to those who work here and allow the Lord to work through you. You have a very special place there, I’m so very thankful for today’s experience.

Very friendly people. Even though they were short staffed that day. We got our food hot and in a reasonable time. The food was delicious. We will be returning.

Friday night catfish is well worth the drive from Bryan. Great sides and they have pee. The folks that work there are very friendly and to glad help.
