This place is bomb and affordable! Great lunch option

Best and most reasonably priced Chinese takeout place I’ve tried in Denver so far. No dine-in and it can get cramped inside, but service is fast even when busy, and staff is very friendly. Free appetizer (crab cheese wonton, egg roll or sesame balls) if you spend enough (I just got two dinner entrees). Food hits the spot and portions are large, enough to feed 2-3 people or have plenty of leftovers. Will definitely return!

This is the best Chinese food in Denver. I moved to RINO and still drive down to Wash Park to eat here. It’s SOO GOOD!

SO consistently delicious — have been coming here for years! The crab cheese wontons are to die for, sesame chicken is amazing and the beef lo mein is fantastic.

We found this place about a year ago this is the first Chinese restaurant in Colorado that I have found that is like East Coast Chinese food

Location is pick up only but the staff there is always incredibly friendly and the food has been nothing short of some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in Denver. I would say my girlfriend and I have become weekly customers due to the great food, but also the people who remember you at the counter.

I'm from NJ, where Chinese food is actually good and came here because of the great reviews and even someone from the east cost saying how this place was good...it absolutely is NOT!!!!!!!! the egg rolls are 100% frozen egg rolls, not made fresh, and are DISGUSTING mush. Lo mein had NO flavor, and is all noodle. General Tso's chicken had NO SAUCE, was so incredibly dry and just...not good. Plus, SO many veggies. $15 per plate, so not worth it. My husband asked if I ordered him the seasme chicken, because there were no seasmes on it and tasted off. Don't waste your money here, and don't believe these reviews from people who clearly have never had decent Chinese food! 100% not worth it. Ps - came on a Saturday during peak hours while they were quite busy, when the food should be the best.

Been living in Speer for awhile and this was my first time trying New China Cafe. Had the Chicken Drunken Noodles with Broccoli, was pleasantly surprised. Will be coming back again to try more on the menu, but for the price it was worth it. Service was excellent, very kind and accommodating woman working the front. The lunch specials are a deal, you might want to check those out as well.

Would order once a week as my goto spot! Used to take delivery orders right up to close time and now they don't. Too bad, lost my business twice this week because of it

Not fancy, but if you're hitting this place up it's probably what you're in the mood for. They have all the classics, they do them well, and you get big portions. Delivery is always really fast too.

Since the younger generation the food is definitely not half as good as it was. Never again.

It took me four years to find this little place, and oh how I wish I would have found it sooner! I'm always on the hunt for great dumplings, and New China Cafe delivers. The Crispy Fried Dumplings are amazing. The best I've found so far. And the sauce that come with them? I could drink a whole cup of it, it's that good. I also get their Chicken Lo Mein. It always comes out hot and fresh. The vegetables are crisp, the chicken moist, and the noodles have just the right chewiness and the flavor is spot on. I've also tried their Pork Fried Rice and the Cream Cheese Wontons. Both are very good as well, but Lo Mein and Dumplings are my go-to. It's carry out or delivery only, but every time I'm in, they're busy with orders. Despite this, I always get my order quickly and piping hot. The staff are friendly and it's always nice to have a quick conversation with them. I highly recommend New China Cafe.

We love this place. When we lived in Denver, we ordered frequently. Now that we are in Thornton, we try to order when possible but are constantly comparing places—none of which meet the standard set here. Best kung pao chicken.

Got some four seasons and Mongolian beef for valentines. It was delightful, highly recommend everything here. Spent 40 bucks for the beef, four seasons, a large container of garlic sauce, edemame and an egg roll. Came with free crab cream cheese wonton and fortune cookie. If you want chopsticks, ask for them. It was more than enough food for myself, probably could have fed 4 but there is only 2 in my household so we have leftovers. Classic affordable American Chinese. Loved it, as per usual.

Some of the best food in town! They still manage to meet the neighborhoods needs even on special events like the Super Bowl! Stellar PERFORMANCE!!!

The food was very good, I was disappointed in the egg rolls they are spring rolls not egg rolls like almost every Chinese restaurant now, I will definitely go back, not bad prices either. Delicious egg drop soup.

I have been looking for a decent made-to-order chinese food joint near my work... and the search is over! Firstly of course, the food was great. I got the crab cheese wontons, sweet & sour chicken and chicken lo-mein. I thought that everything was excellent, not to salty or greasy but lots of flavor. If I had to nit pick one thing it would be that I like my crab cheese wonton filling to have a little more sweetness than it did. But that surely did not stop me from eating them, they were delicious nonetheless haha. The service was super friendly and the food was prepared fresh when I ordered it... no scoopers full of old food here. My food came up in less than 10 minutes and I was out the door. Something to know before ordering is that this is is essentially a sit down chinese restaurant, that is only take out. So the portion sizes are huge for each item ordered, but with no place to sit and eat. It's like my favorite family style sit down chinese food restaurant opened up a to-go only location. Each item came with fried rice and an egg roll so that was a tremendous amount of food for one person. But let's be honest, I am not sad about it because that means more chinese food tomorrow! I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you want delicious food, at a good price, made quickly and fresh to order. I will definitely be back the next time I get the itch for chinese food.

I just placed a big order for my staff for Christmas Eve. Vegetarians and Vegans BEWARE nothing is vegetarian. They explained to me that the use oyster sauce, or chicken stock in all dishes even the veggie ones. They said that all the oil they use has had meat cooked in it, which is also disgusting because that means they don’t change their oil out or have any fresh oil to make any vegetarian dishes???? So my staff gets to have a big Christmas meal while I watch them.

I have been coming here for years,they are always friendly,quick service ,great prices and most importantly the food is great. I am a happy return customer.

Came in on a Friday night, was very busy which I took as a good sign. Service was EXTREMELY friendly, so damn nice. The lady who took my order was patient and courteous. Even made small talk while they were clearly v busy. Food took about 15-20 min, faster than I thought. And gentlemen even helped me to my car bc of how many bags I had and was soooo gentle with everything so that there were no spills. The food itself, was ok. As a New Yorker living here a few years I was really excited from the reviews, but the flavors were off. The sesame chicken was more sweet like honey with no sesame to be found. Chicken was very juicy though. Same for the general, I’m used to a dark soy based spicy sauce and it was again sweet and slightly more savory. Still very juicy though. The pork lo mein was yummy but wished there was more veggies. That rice is NOT fried rice. That is white rice that someone sprinkled some soy sauce on ever so gently and then mixed. Bland and no veggies. The marinated wings were good too, but they are pan fried not deep fried so they are not crispy, just an FYI All in all I enjoyed my food though it wasn’t was I expected

This place is so good, all the dishes have lots of flavor and good texture. I've enjoyed the veggie lo mein, mongolian beef, basil chicken, cashew chicken and wonton soup. Egg rolls and fried cheese wontons are also delicious, not too greasy.

I ordered chicken lo mein and the noodles were undercooked with hardly any sauce. We also ordered crab Rangoon and the phyllo dough was hard and tough, and there was barely any filling inside. Incredibly disappointing food--and I didn't even know it was possible to screw up Chinese food!

Consistent, quality takeout food and always friendly service. New China Cafe has been in the neighborhood since the mid 80’s. Quality and delicious food, very reasonable prices, big portions, and always cordial. Even the Buffalo wings are the best in town (and I’m from WNY). I can’t recommend this place enough.

Not a lot of flavor. A little disappointed. I had the broccoli beef. The wing was fried nicely but had zero spices or anything. Everything was kind of bland.

Not great, Mongolian Beef had zero kick, sweet and sour pork fried too long, rice so bland, gave us two cookies with a $40 order, save your money people!!! Try Great Wall on Colfax instead

Gorilla style counter service like your ordering a cheese steak in Philly, but it's Chinese food in Denver. A little off the beaten path but well worth the take out. A family run establishment where you hear the beautiful Chinese language flowing out of the kitchen upon the fragrance of their delicious offerings. I only wish they had a seated service.

We got to go for lunch. The lunch prices are about average. I ordered the Basil Beef. It really didn't have the flavor of Basil, but was still very good. The beef was super soft and not hard like I'm used to getting at other places.

Currently laying in bed with really bad food poisoning after eating this last night. Roommate also got food poisoning from the same food.

Food taste is just meh. Friendly staff. Quick service. Ordered General Tsos Chicken - just okay. It came with mediocre fried rice. Also ordered Snow Peas with Chestnuts but it was more like lots of bamboo with chestnuts and a splash of snow peas. Very disappointing. Egg roll was good. Note: it's all takeout and they do not use the plastic containers which is good for the environment, but bad for any dish with not so thick sauce. So be aware of that. Also, the no napkins or utensils. If you're eating at home, you're good. ;)

Wouldn't adjust an order placed. Very skimpy on the condiments no napkins no spoons for my soup or a fork for my rice..... wow they MUST save a bunch of money on all that. I guess I must need to ask for everything so be aware you must be very specific with this Chinese food location

I ordered the Kung Pao Triple Delight. The amount of meat compared to the amount of veggies was good. The taste was also good. Service was great and they spoke decent English; so I did not have to repeat myself. I recommend anyone looking for a decent meal at a good price to try them.

Chicken w/blackbean sauce taste exactly like a cheese burger topped with sautéed onions which is really bad - i did not sign up for the American flavor. I wanted a good food representation of the continent of Asia at least without leaving Denver. I'm giving up on finding flavorful CHINESE food in Colorado.
