The food is good. The service is good too.

The gravy in panner tikka masala is too sour and there was no staff only like 2 people.

Well I can tell you one thing they have one of the best indian foods out there! Best traditional flavor! Hands down I enjoyed butter chicken and naan yumm! Oh and goat curry!

I came in rather close to closing time without knowing it was to close soon. They proceeded to treat my group and I with outmost respect and welcome. The atmosphere is very homey and very comfortable. The food is what sold us to make this a weekly spot. While we chose two chicken dishes( which blow any other spot out of the water) the LAMB was one of the most ground breaking dishes I have eaten. I highly recommend this place.

Edit : 05/30 deleted old post because it has no significance, new review below.. All the breads are fake, they just dust the bread as if it was a pizza topper.. You want garlic, paneer whatever they are just going to dust the bread with the powder.. it's comical if you think about it from Indian food perspective.. imagine ordering a paneer naan and you get some stale bread re heated dusted with some paneer dust.. neither the bread nor the dust is fresh.. it tastes great though but this is equivalent of eating processed food so coming back again for a fake Indian food experience.. Hmmm, why would I ever do that!

Ordered garlic Naan and they sprinkled garlic powder on the Naan and called it garlic Naan. Not cool

The samosa, saag paneer, dal tadka, and tandoori roti we ordered were incredibly flavorful, all homemade and among the best North Indian dishes I've had in the Chicago area, despite their smaller portions and the absence of rice. However, there was a noticeable lack of staff to manage both delivery orders and diners, resulting in slow service. Hiring more staff could significantly improve the restaurant's efficiency. We initially intended to order some non-vegetarian entrees, but the prolonged wait for the first set discouraged us. It's impressive that the owner and chef single-handedly manages the kitchen, but expanding the team could enhance the overall experience. Bravo to him for his dedication.

Not clean, food is not fresh, taste is bad. Chicken tasted like boiled separately and mixed in the curry. Don’t order garlic naan here, you will start hating it.

Lassi test like milk , Sabji was feel like from buffet and just warm up , after eating here I got food poison and stayed in bed for 2 days not again

I have never eaten here before, even though we’ve been in the area since it open, which is quite some time ago. I must say the food was very good. They made it just to our liking when it comes to level of spiciness. We got a complementary mango lassi. The nice thing about it too is that it wasn’t very oily. I would definitely go back again again and recommend this place to my friends.

When we arrived, the waitress didn't say much, but we were immediately seated. The menu is fairly simple, and when you order they ask if you like the meal mild, medium, or spicy. My husband got medium and I got spicy, but there really wasn't any difference between the two. Even so, the food tasted lovely and the Super Bowl was on quietly in the background. It was tidy and the food came pretty quickly. Overall, worth the visit. Only complaint is that the cost of a dish was between 13-17 dollars, but they charge an extra five dollars for a plate of rice. The portions are pretty small, so it seemed like it should have come with instead.

First time here. Was recommended by a friend who lives in New York and comes here whenever he visits. He said it is better than any Indian restaurant ar hime. We gave it a try today, and it was excellent. The owner gave us some appetizers upon hearing it was our first time, and helped us in choosing what to order since we've never had Indian cuisine. I had Tikki Masala and my husband had lamb. The Naan bread is amazing. Great experience, will be back!

I’ve been coming to New Delhi Restaurant for about 6 years now, and I can wholeheartedly say their quality has never changed throughout the years! This restaurant is a family owned business which is what gives eating here that “home cooked” experience! Some of my favorite dishes made by him are Biryani which is to die for every single time. And his freshly made samosas with house made chutney!! Delicious. ❤️

There were hardly any people on a Saturday evening. That should have given us some hint. The food was very ordinary. We ordered for jeera rice but the rice was served without any jeera. There was absolutely no flavor, not fully cooked and tasteless. We brought this to their attention but they tried convincing us that it was jeera rice. Very soon we noticed that they served the same rice to a neighboring table that ordered a curry. The vegetable curry we ordered was Navarathan curry that barely had any veggies and/or fruit. We did not enjoy the experience.

Everything was absolutely amazing. I went here because I met the owners cousin in Delhi, India and he recommended I go and try the restaurant in Schaumburg. The owner is the absolute best at what he does. His kindness knows no limits, he works hard to provide each person with an amazing meal and enjoyable experience.

Food was a bit expensive ordered the lamb pasando, garlic naan, and rice... Meat didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked, naan was good rice was a bit dry.

Best Indian food. I've been to several different Indian restaurants, and this one is the best Indian restaurant in Chicagoland - hands down. You will not be disappointed 👍 Personal favorite dishes: Butter chicken - smooth, rich, flavorful Bharta (eggplant) - rich, flavorful, toasted flavor is really pleasant (this is a must try) Karai paneer - rich flavor, easy feeling, veg dish Daal Makhani - so smooth and rich, it almost tastes creamy, healthy Butter Naan - best naan Dahi (yogurt) - I've been told they make this themselves. It's super fresh and a nice flavor enhancer to other dishes.

I love this restaurant! This is my only go-to restaurant for authentic Indian food!! They have the best fresh Butter naan, Bharta, Kadhai Paneer, Daal makhani, and Goat curry. I love their homemade Dahi and Paneer!! These are my personal favorites and I'm glad they do a superb job in making it so well!!! I always bring my guests here and they LOVE the food too!! The owners of the restaurant are so warm-hearted and always make sure that we are satisfied with the food and everything else too!!

This is our regular place for Indian food! I haven’t found anywhere that has food half as good as New Delhi! Especially their chicken makhani… it’s my favorite!

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant!! Hospitality was zero, food was not good like in paneer gravy there was very small paneer chunks!! And overall we didn’t like anything there !!

On a business trip with coworkers and we wanted Indian food. The meal was quickly prepared, hot and fresh. We got Saag Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a vegetarian dish. We also got two types of naan, and an appetizer. Great sauces, the meat was tender, and the naan was so soft and fresh.

We did takeout…really good. We asked for mild as some restaurants use way too much hot.. very flavorful. Better than my version of both curries.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for ages and can hands down say it’s one of the BEST Indian restaurants in the Schaumburg area! I’m always very impressed with their customer service and how fresh the food is. Everything is always made fresh to order and they never serve old food. I will always continue to come here whenever I crave home cooked Indian food!

It is near to our home so we thought of trying... it has limited options and we ordered Dal Makhani and Paneer Makhni being veg But Paneer was not at all good. Dal was ok but not to the expectations.

This is our new favorite Indian spot! We just moved back Illinois after a few years and wanted to find a place closer to our new home. We got takeout and it was amazing! We had the chicken vindaloo, chicken curry and aloo gobi. My husband said it’s the best aloo gobi he’s ever had! The only *slightly strange* thing is you pay extra for rice (which I’m used to getting included, but not a big deal overall.)

The owners were very courteous and hospitable and promised us delightful food.

This has been on my list of restaurants to try out, and it did not disappoint! Tikka Masala is one of my favorite Indian dishes, and this one was by far my favorite! It has a wonderfully rich flavor, and I paired it with the paner Naan, which comes out incredibly fresh and delicious! I should have ordered seconds! I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Pathetic service owner due to limited staff . Food quality is also not very ( didn’t good .. We ordered less spicy curries for our daughter but it was very spicy and she couldn’t eat it .. We had to literally search for Paneer pieces in paneer curry 🤦‍♂️.. Will not recommend it to anyone looking for good North Indian food .. Response to owner’s latest response- we specifically reported your staff about the spicy level and he just showed sorry face instead of replacing the curry and regarding your comment on reviews given by me - I can see you don’t take negative reviews well and I can see a trend of being defensive in all your replies instead of improving on the services . Really poor way of responding publically.

Food was as authentic as it can be for me, the taste was great, we ordered lamb curry and veggie curry, rise and naan bread. It turned out to be plenty. Service was good, staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it

Absolutely amazing food and service! Rahul was a great server! Delicious food...loved the house special methi mutter malai (medium spice), chana masala and lamb bhoona, plain and garlic naan were delicious. Even the mango lassi was soooo yummy!! Totally recommend them!

Very good, we ordered the chicken biryani, paneer naan and Paneer Makhani Jain. All items turned out amazing, only wished we ordered more! The staff are very friendly as well. We will be back next time we are in town.

Update: It's been over a week from when we ate at this restaurant and we have talked about the amazing food 3 times now. We even tried to make one of the meals from home too. Review for the items I ordered. Their Naan are the best . I have never had this delicious anywhere else. Mutton roganjosh was good. Gobhi aloo was good. Kadhai chicken was okay. Would not recommend Chicken biryani. I have had better biryani elsewhere. One of the very few North Indian restaurants around the area.

Meh...for Indian food... Tikka Masala sauce seems to be dialed down (weak) to cater to most American tastebuds. Is there ANY garlic on the garlic naan? Extra star for the Paneer Makhani tho. That sauce was very good. We didn't want any wine that night but to those to whom it matters there is zero alcohol service.

I went here with my parents for many many years before I moved away. The orders are made completely fresh. It takes time, but it is simply the best. The son who runs the restaurant is awesome and so is his Mom. I love that place.

Great place, delicious food, the owners are great people, we love to try different food, and it was really tasty. Hint: if you eat spicy, ask for medium ;)

Disappointed with our recent experience. Called to place a takeout order, was told 30-35 mins. Given our previous experience, we showed up 40-50 mins and our order still wasn’t ready, waited another 10 mins or so. The portions of food have drastically reduced making it no longer worth the price. It was $33 for vegetable byrani, chicken tikki masala with no rice and naan. We’ve given this place a few chances and we won’t be back again.

Most authentic tasting Indian food in the area, fair prices and hospitable service. Rahul is attentive, knows how to find the right food, and is passionate about his work. I loved my paneer tikka masala, it tasted how it's supposed to taste. Everything was clearly prepared fresh and tasted great.

I called this place to ask questions about the menu. Lady was very rude and screamed at me and hung up. I wouldn't waste my time or money here.

Very good service, friendly , good food

This is such an amazing restaurant- only got to know of it because of my fiancée who has been a regular customer since her childhood. Recently, I’ve seen customers get angry/upset and just leave the restaurant because their order hasn’t been taken for a while or because they haven’t received proper service. What I don’t think people understand, is that this restaurant is only being managed by 3 people and believe it or not, the food is definitely worth trying. It’s Indian restaurants like New Delhi with unique flavorful dishes that we want to see open in the Chicagoland area, not just another chaat place. So many Indian restaurants have closed down recently and I’d hate to see another restaurant that hits so close to home to close too. Everyone should show this place more love! I know the ordering process will take a little longer than usual, service won’t be amazing, but at the end of the day you’ll fall in love with the food!

We went here for dinner but they were only serving takeout as they didn't have enough servers. Owners were really nice and made our order on priority as we were tourists and had to wait in the restaurant to pick up as they were not doing dine in. This was a weekday and most other restaurants were closed already. Food quality was good. We ordered aloo gobhi, paneer makhni and naan.
