The only pizza place I order from when I'm in town. The reviews for this place should be higher!!

Standard pizza/pasta restaurant with delivery and takeout as well. Lots of parking. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish - both were good, properly cooked. The pizza was preferred over the pasta dish. Large portions at reasonable prices. During peak hours, servers can be a little rushed, but overall the service was good, food arrived hot, with no waiting. Menu has something for everyone - wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads, lots of pasta dishes, and dessert. We've dined there multiple times and have always been pleased with the food and service.

Let me start by saying the food was pretty good, I would suggest doing a little less garlic on the pizza, but much better than your typical chain restaurant. Now here’s the complaint, the atmosphere and service was honestly terrible. Our server acted like she genuinely couldn’t stand working there, and the smell of chemicals and bleach was so much that my party couldn’t drink water because we could taste it through our smell (I hope). When the pizza was brought to us she just held it there and waited for us to clean off the table for her of all our empty dishes. No thank you, no come again, etc. Won’t be visiting again, I hope this is corrected in the future for the sake of the business. For a weekend night it was dead empty which is not a good sign.

This razor blade was found while cutting my stromboli up. I called the store and they admitted to using razor blades to cut the dough. And the chef 'may have dropped it'. Nevermind the cost spent on the low quality food. It would have been much more expensive for them with court costs and hospital bills if that was consumed

Our $121 order had hair in 3-5 of the dishes an they tried to say it was our own hair .....the hostess sucked ...she took the first complaint dish back as I handed to her I had marinara sauce on my finger so I marked the plate an guess what the spaghetti with hair in it arrived back to me on the same plate an I was told it was a fresh helping of spaghetti...the salad an the hairy cheese steak were just put on newwarm plates.....nasty won't waste money there ever again ....then she actually ask for a tip .... I recommend a new job

Incredible Food! We ordered a medium pizza & 2 subs (Grilled chicken & Steak n cheese) A little pricey but by far the best subs we have had around Waynesboro

I have never been so repulsed by a place of business as much as I am right now nor have I ever shared anything on social media or given a review. For 5 close to six years my daughter could not eat anything without getting sick. Finally having surgery to remove her gallbladder, the organ which caused her such discomfort after eating, she is able to eat most things without feeling or getting sick. This is such a celebration. She was hungry and we went to NY Flying Pizza in Waynesboro, Va. I kid you not with what I am going to share my daughter witnessed. We ordered garlic breadsticks and a pizza half cheese half pepperoni. Breadsticks were ready they were sitting at the window, the ever so unfriendly waitress went to the window with three… 3 plates, mind you it was myself and Ash. Anyway she walked over to the window took a breadstick off the tray placed it on a plate, pushed the plate back on the ledge, then brought the breadsticks to the table. She then walked back toward the window, rinsed her fingers off grabbed the plate with the one singular breadstick from our order, walked over to a table sat down and ate it.

May 5, 2024 - Since the Cinco De Mayo crowd filled all the Mexican Restaurants in town. . . Go Italian with PIZZA! My wife and I are new to the area, so our mission is to find great pizza in the Waynesboro area. Which style of pizza do you prefer? New York Flying Pizza opened August 5, 2015. Owner David Hernandez also owns a couple of other restaurants ( New York Flying Pizza in Bridgewater, and Ciro’s Flying Pizza in Grottoes). This location offers a wide variety of mostly Italian items . . . ranging from Lasagna, Carbonara, Linguini & Clams , Baked Ziti, Fettuccini Alfredo, to Subs, Burgers, Fries, and Nachos! It’s casual dining, with take out service for the community. It wasn’t very crowded today. Our server, Maria, warmed up to us as we progressed through our meal service. The beer selection was limited, I tend to enjoy micro & local craft beers. Mostly Bud, Coors, Miller, Michelob Ultra, and Corona. The wine selection was also limited, but Maria gave us a very “ generous pour” on my wife’s Cabernet & my Chardonnay!😃👍🏼 We came to sample PIZZA. . . Options are Neapolitan & Sicilian ! We ordered an appetizer . . . Italian Salad with feta cheese on the side. Which was very good! Maria brought out our salads first, with fresh hot garlic rolls, thank you! We request they hold the pizza until our salad is finished. . . but it arrived early. Oh well, not that big of a deal. Our medium Neapolitan pepperoni pizza was cooked PERFECTLY! Thin crusted pizza was slightly charred on the bottom which is 100% correct! The cheese is melted perfectly over the onions , with just enough pepperoni! 👍🏼😃. Love fresh hot pizza cooked perfectly! I used to enjoy going here but the waitress there has a very bad attitude. She has been rude the past 2 times I have been there and for her to yell at myself and my husband for her mistake I have to say I will never be back unless she is no longer there. I will not be treated poorly at an establishment.

This experience was horrible. I called right after i ordered to remove an item and they said it was already made. After several calls which they apparently couldn't understand, I tried to just cancel the order but wasn't able to. We had to pay for it and the quality was horrendous! The cheesesteak subs had almost no meat. The meat on both sandwiches wouldn't have equaled a half a sandwich. The pizza had been dropped and toppings were everywhere. We took our whole order back to the restaurant and stilll could not get any refund. The "manager" said SHE saw the delivery guy drop the pizza on his way out. We will never order from there again. I do NOT recommend this place at all. I would give Zero stars if I could!

We had our women's meeting there. I was a little late & had to wait a bit to get a drink. But the food is good. They serve beer there. I like beer with my pizza.

My favorite pizza in Waynesboro!

I have mixed feelings about thos establishment. The food is good but not very balanced. The protions are generous almost to a fault. I ordered a Calzone that was literally falling apart at the seams because the amount of cheese and grease was softening and deteriorating the crust. I love cheese, dont get me wrong, but it is hard to eat when it is sloopily falling everywhere because of the sheer mass of it.

Visited and ordered from this spot numerous times and everytime the experience has been undesirable. From the moment u call in your order the lady who answers the phone always has a nasty demeanor, Had the steak and cheese sub… there was more sub than steak and cheese put together. 30 min wait took over an hour. Delivery driver spoke no English so communicating her location was just about impossible.. I had to literally text photos of my building and apartment number… my wife and I made a pat to never deal with this establishment again…

Very casual. I believe they changed their crust recipe for the pizza sometime last year, which improved it a good bit. My kids like their pizza and David, the owner, is really nice guy. Good casual place to grab a bite at reasonable prices (relative to similar offerings).

This place is awesome! They let me have my birthday party dinner here after 12ish kids went ice scating with me and served the CHEESIEST PIZZA EVER! once you add the Parmesan ontop... MMMM!! it's a match made in heaven. Five stars, highly recommend.

Order the Sicilian buffalo chicken you won’t be disappointed

I ordered a special 14" deluxe pizza and nachos. The pizza had 6 pieces of sausage & 6 pieces of pepperoni. It was loaded with veggies, that's not what l paid for. The nachos were all cheese, lettuce & sauce, with wilted chips. Substandard food at a big cost.

We have been customers for years. Never had a bad meal and never left hungry. Pesto pollo is really good. Deluxe cheese steak is another of my favorites. Wife enjoys their gyro.

Cool place, try it sometime. Huge servings, you’ll need a to go box.

Ordered a lamb salad with extra meat and they didn't deliver on the quality at all. They gave my man only 4 strips of lamb, 4 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes and a bed of lettuce. I have been a loyal customer for years and this is definitely a disappointment. I even tipped them and paid about $16 for a piss poor salad. Never again!!!!

So i wasn’t mad I had to wait for my food it was the quality of the food I had to wait for they didn’t even make an effort. They didn’t even cut the pizza put barely any toppings on the pizza. Then gave me a piece of tiramisu that someone clearly took a bite out of I threw everything away just don’t go here.

Food arrived without the side salads. They refused to bring them and only offered to refund $2 total, for two missing side salads. The manicotti is stuffed full of mozzerella like a brick. Not even a tiny bit of ricotta what so ever. Horrible food. Horrible at fixing the mistakes made. I'm in a hotel with a group and now 2 people don't have dinner for the night. Awful.

How in the world have I just found this diamond in the ruff? This place is freaking SPECTACULAR! The Philly Steak Stromboli is indescribable it’s that good! Fried pickles? Definitely hand breaded & fried to perfection! Can’t wait to try even more of their menu! 100% MUST TRY! 👏🏻👏🏻 Kudos & keep up the great work! UPDATE 12/29/2023 - Have to change my review, the last few times we've ordered here it has been less than worth it. Just today, I ordered a club sandwich with NO PORK! 1st off, who doesn't toast the bread on a club sandwich? & there was ham, although they were smart enough to NOT put bacon. Then to throw hot fries on top of untoasted bread that has mayo turned into a horrible, soggy, warm mess that I couldn't eat because it had ham. The quality of the food has really taken a downward turn & was hoping it was just a staffing issue that many restaurants have experienced. These last few times the food was lack luster & this is the 5th time we order & the food is horrible & NOT the same as the first...AT ALL. Big disappointment & probably won't be ordering again any time soon.

Meh. Decided to try a new pizza joint just to see what else was out there. Didn't feel like driving to pick it up in the down pouring rain so got delivery. Over an hour later the pies arrived. I immediately noticed something off? about the taste. My husband is an EC and has been for over 15 years in many fine dining restaurant establishments in Virginia Beach and also agreed. We threw both pies away and went to our favorite fabulous spot, Village Pizza off 340 N. I do not reccomend this establishment but can say Village Pizza is consistently delish!

Do not. Under any circumstance. Order a pizza online from this restaurant. It makes you download he Slice App. You will spend 4 hours being lied to by someone that says your pizza is on the way. If their pizza tastes like their customer service, you are better off serving your kids a few steaming piles of hot garbage.

Good food. Pizza had good flavor and crust. Toppings were not balanced on pie..only downside. Delivery was quick and hot.

The pizza is fine - though nothing special. The sides were a rip off. Ordered a side of onion rings and a large fry and the portions were tiny.

The service was very poor, We also got sick from the pizza we got.

My boyfriend and I went in to have supper tonight after work we walked into having to wait a ridiculously long time to be seated. Waited a good while to just get menus and when we were given them the waitresses were very rude not just to us but everyone in the restaurant. The table beside us was told that they were to take food that they did not order. We were being coved with nats after one you think it’s just a fluke but after four that’s not and it’s a problem. We went to go pay for the appetizer that we had eaten and hadn’t received our food yet we had an issue with the waitress with her having an attitude with us. My boyfriend look down to the floor and it was covered in nats.

Finally stopped by for a slice, great pizza, I have to say. Good crust, good cheese, and good grease. I had two slices and a drink for a little over 8 bucks with tax. It's not a bad deal for good pizza. The slices were good-sized, hot, and melty. There's a lot on the menu, so I'm gonna try another menu item and see how they stack up. The service was not great. Not enough to stay away, but one should not have to worry about a language barrier at a pizza joint, in my opinion. (Unless in Italy) for the food I got I say go give them a try.

I’m passing by and a local friend told me to come here for a bite to eat. They are friendly, service was fast, and food was very good.

I haven't eaten here in a few years. When I have to pick up a dash order, they are always very nice even if you do have to wait.

I’ve ordered Door Dash from there a few times. Recently, I tried to order and the woman working refused to give my dasher my food because my dasher had been a previous employee who quit to work for Door Dash. When I called to see what the problem was, she complained about me to her coworker and then hung up on me. Finally, the delivery driver stepped in and gave my dasher the food. Super poor customer service from a petty, vindictive employee who’s bitter that her employee quit working there. I will also be reporting this experience to Door Dash.

Ordered ziti, salad and bread. Ziti didn't have any meat at all!!!! They said that they make it New York style. I've been to New York & so hv others & I've always had MEAT in my ziti!!!

Worst service ever placed order on their website and they lost the order I call to confirm than they found than lost than see where paid than didn't know what ordered refused to give money when asked for refund so looks like ceros got my order tonight!

Just had my 1st and last pizza from this place. Asked for extra cheese and sauce, got neither(hardly any sauce at all)and was charged for extras. You would think, with New York in the name, they could at least make a half way decent pie, not even close.

Pizza is great but the service poor.

If I could give a zero I would. Made my order at 8:31pm. It was estimated to be ready between 8:40 and 9:01. Got there about 8:55. Was greeted at 9 and told it would be 15 min. 22 minutes and several table deliveries later I was told 2 minutes. At that point they bring my food. I get home to discover my pizza is cold. Apparently tips were more important than handing my food to me hot. I will not be returning.

Great business, but prices never seem the same.

Staff was not attentive. We watched a couple be sat at another table and then was never greeted by a server for drinks- they left after 20 minutes of waiting. It took over 45 minutes for our food that was mediocre. The beer was warm. Overall disappointing

Excellent pizza and cuisine. A large menu of varied items and good drink options. Prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent!

We picked up an order today that was not pizza, it was manicotti and a chicken Parm sub and it was absolutely inedible. Disgusting. We had to throw it away. I tried to talk to them to see if we could get a pizza instead because I’ve had their pizza and their pizza was good, but she would absolutely not give us any credit or let us make an exchange. I will not be returning.

This meal was disgusting. Couldn’t eat it. Everything was way too salty the sauce was indescribably horrible and even the bread was stale. The salad was nothing but iceberg lettuce and tomato. Waste of money. Won’t be going back

These are supposed to be bacon cheese fries but they forgot the bacon. They are soft and seems like they just set in grease. Never again. Wish it would let me do a half star

This used to be our family “go to” pizza spot until recently. The last few pizzas we have received were not up to our standards. It seems as though you have to send special instructions to avoid the XL pizza being overcooked and almost inedible. Being a regular, I let the owner know about my subpar experiences. His response was “I can take a couple dollars off of your next pizza.” Unfortunately, that will not be enough to keep our business. The closest local competitor (rhymes with heroes) treats us better and values our business more.

0 stars not an option? We were refused entry due to my mother's MEDICALLY NECESSARY seizure alert dog. Even showed them the ADA regulations on service animals. Ignorant behavior. NOT disability friendly. Department of Justice ADA complaint has also been filed against them.

I received a gift certificate shortly before the Holidays, and I must say that New York Flying Pizza did not disappoint us. This was some of the best pizza I have eaten. I decided to take it home, and we were in an out within half an hour.

Tonight’s order was HORRIBLE!!!! It started with the owner being nasty rude and disrespectful! When I tried to defend myself he hung up on me. So I tried using “Slice” the pizza app to place my order ( that was MY mistake!!). It ended up being 45 minutes late, the driver never let me know they dropped it off so by the time I realized it was here my food was cold and the wings tasted like there was dish soap in the sauce! They have lost a long time customer!

Went with a large group of people and was the last to pay. Ended up paying for food that I did not order because the order was taken incorrectly. I can overlook the slow service, but paying for something I didn't order because of the servers mistake is not okay. Server was uninterested in helping with the bill error. Food was just okay, not worth going back.

Pizza is the best in town. All the good is good. Service is always awesome. Was a little chilly in the dining room today, but host turned the heater on as soon as we said we were cold. We take out or dine in several times a month.

I live @ 25 minutes from Waynesboro so when in town like to order food that can be ready ASAP within reason. I ordered on the slice app as soon as they opened and it was going to be an hour it’s always a hour at least. I took my time running errands arrived 5 min early to pick up order. Place was not busy and after standing there for @ 10 min got my pizza and it was barely warm. Pizza was good but can get it elsewhere in @ 20-25 min.

I was not impressed with the service and the food. We had a party of 7 ppl and the lady took our order. It took a long time to get the salad on the table. The salad was not fresh you can tell the cucumber was frozen and the lettuce was old. I ordered Chicken kabob and when my food came it was cold and it gave me stomach problems bc it was cold to eat. Overall was not a good experience this visit. Hopefully, it can change soon since I came to your city a lot.

I placed an order of spaghetti with meatballs only to get home ad there is an eggshell on food! Their response was that they use the same water that they boil the eggs with to also boil the noodles Told me. Bring my food bak ad I can get a discount!!! I live 20 mins away!!

ZERO STARS !! The food here is HORRIBLE. We only ordered one time it was A WASTE OF GOOD MONEY. On another note, one of the people that owns this place is about as thoughtless as they come. Don't order anything from here, they are dishonest, you won't be happy. You can complain and they make you feel like you did something wrong. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !! The picture below is of the Italian sub we ordered from NYFP :( GO TO CIRO'S PIZZA and order an italian sub, you won't be disappointed.... BEST IN THE BUSINESS!! What it is....... the NYFP trying to be italian when they are not, they are hispanic and don't even speak our english. What a joke.

The food was really good. I got the steak and cheese deluxe. It had a ton of steak on it. However, when I had my son pick the food up, they didn't give us all of our order or out 2 liter.

Rude!!! Here's the funny thing... they speak Spanish words to non Latinos and when we go in they act like they don't know Spanish and are very dismissive. They have treated me as if I was an inconvenience!

Ordered two X-Large pizzas to go with several toppings on each. They really nailed it! The pizza was really good, it was ready very fast .(on Sunday, 2pm) Glad to find great pizza in Waynesboro. We ate the leftovers for lunch today and it was still right on. A lot of Virginia pizza is boring and bland (like Extreme Pizza in C'Ville) . Pizza should be all about the big flavors, the cheese, the garlic, the sauce. I think Flying Pizza is even better than the pretty good Tony's in Staunton near the Food Lion. Thanks!

The worst food and experience we have every had It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and for $25 the delivered 1 slice of pizza and a eggplant sub which was not eatable have tried 3 times to call manager he would not take my call our order including 2 orders of linguine which was is never delivered

Could give no stars if possible. Worst customer service ever. No stars. Do not order online, they will not handle anything w online orders. Won’t issue refunds for canceled orders. Managers were the talking to me like I haven’t worked in the restaurant industry for 10 year. Worst experience ever.

Disappointed in my recent order. My chicken alla franchese comes with salad and bread. I got salad with no dressing and no bread. There are huge chunks of fried egg in my dish, and the sauce doesn’t even taste like lemon. It tastes like salted water. Virtually no sauce in the container to begin with. $21 delivered. Reading other reviews, it appears I’m not alone and they desperately need to get it together.

Are you kidding me??? We ordered Club sandwiches which apparently have gone up in price two dollars since the last time, they arrived on plain white bread with the heels of the bread included!! The tomatoes were not on the sandwich but just thrown in the box and NO BACON!!! When I called to talk to someone about this, the noise in the background was so loud, we couldn't even hear each other. This is unfortunate and not the first time mistakes have been made however, when a meal costs upwards of sixty dollars you expect some kind of professionalism!! This is our last and final meal from Flying Pizza!!

Worst place ever we have given them several chances either food is messed up of the delivery driver takes 2 plus hours to deliver and the management is ridiculous and does not care about there customers at all they are always right and customer is wrong even if you want to be happy with your food I would definitely recommend going somewhere else

We just ordered a large calzone and it was amazing. Packed with so much flavor with a bonus garlic butter on top. The staff was super friendly, we will definitely be going back. Glad to have found the best pizza place in Waynesboro!

Cheesesteak deluxe <3 As I hike the Appalachian Trail I'm always hesitant to go to local Italian spots being from a very Italian Jersey town, but man, all the components of this sub was awesome. Along with the garlic knots some of the best of ever had. Quick and friendly service...and tasty adult beverages:)

Best pizza I have ever had and I have been all over the east coast

Ordered penne a la vodka. It’s suppose to come with chicken or shrimp. I asked for shrimp and got nothing but pasta and sauce.
