Let me start by saying that this used to be my all-time favorite steakhouse (probably my favorite restaurant). I used to frequent the restaurant very often, as it was truly unrivaled. However, since the pandemic, the quality of the food and service seems to have taken a considerable dive. This is an honest review from an honest young local of Boca: On one occasion, my family of five's food arrived 2 hours late (no, it's not an exaggeration, and yes, I waited that amount of time). Stuff happens, I get it, but 2 hours was a little overkill. I want to focus specifically that on several occasions (around 5 times), food was served pretty cold. Room-temperature cold. All plates. The whole family. It had been so frequent, that my family and I would sadly no longer frequent the restaurant as much as we did. It's still an excellent place to dinr, but I would tell the staff at NYP (if they're reading this) to please focus on the detail when the food is ready to be served. Thank you,

We went for our anniversary and we have a great time. The food was real good, the atmostphere and our server Justin make us feel welcome and well treated. Will be back. I recommended!!

One of the nicest restaurants I've ever been too. Family style meal and the owner was walking around talking to everyone the whole night.

Excellent family dinner on a Sunday. No live band (during the week except for Sundays and Tuesdays) but our meal was delicious. We had the Delmonico and Filet, added lump crab meat and Brussel sprouts. To finish off we had the butter cake! Absolutely delicious! Antonio our service cut up my two kids’ chicken meals and made the whole experience better. Excellent service with a smile. Thank you

A delayed recognition for one of JK Moving Services top sales folks, Mae Conway, was recently celebrated at New York Prime. The only thing better than the AMAZING food was the top tier service. We had the privilege of meeting Antonio who delighted us with his quick wit and even faster service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. My wife and I enjoy coming here for date night and sitting at the bar. We listen to the live music, chat with the friendly bartenders and enjoy ourselves. We typically get a drink, the chilled crab appetizer where the sauces that come with it are so good you want to drink them and then we split a steak. Also a great place to celebrate…. We love it here. Oh…and make sure to end with the butter cake. You’ll thank me.

Great Steakhouse conveniently located off of Glades Road in Boca Raton. They have a variety of different steaks and their bar selection is fantastic. The servers are the best in the industry and the atmosphere is very nice. They held a big charity event for a young child with a rare brain disorder, the appetizers were phenomenal, followed by giant platters of tomahawk steaks. The event was very heart touching and I love what this restaurant does for the community. Definitely must go to if you’re in Boca Raton

First time here for both my fiancee and I. It was our 2nd year anniversary. The steaks were delicious - he got the sirloin and I got the ribeye with bone. The meat is so tender and cooked just right. The mushrooms are delicious too. Fiancee is a picky steak eater and he loves the food here. The restaurant was decorated and designed very homely, with lots of natural lighting coming in from the many windows and french doors. It is still formal dining so proper attire is required (Sun dresses, business casual, etc). Staff was friendly, the kitchen manager checked up on us which was a bonus. It is costly but nowhere near as costly as the other steakhouse at Hard Rock, and you still get great quality steaks, better than Capital Grille. Will definitely come back, probably bring my parents with me next time. Valet parking isn't necessary as the parking garage is steps away unless walking is difficult for some. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for an expensive, pretentious restaurant......you found it. Food was good. Got a Tomahawk steak. The steak was a little disappointing pertaining to flavor and it was a little tough. For this caliber of restaurant, I don't expect tough meat.

Absolutely incredible food and service. The only complaint I have is how loud it can be inside the restaurant but when a place is this busy you have to expect it. I will certainly be back.

No high chairs... this is my 3rd kid and that has never happened. My steak was also overcooked which is shocking after waiter said steaks come out a bit under temp.

Very noisy and very crowded. I put up with that because I expect the food to be outstanding. It wasn’t. The medium rare New York strip was chewy and the baked potato loaded was underwhelming. The mushrooms were terrific. I expected aged meat and I don’t believe that’s what we got.

Quite possibly the best steak we have ever had. We are willing to drive 300 miles one way to visit this restaurant. Ask for Danielle. She's an amazing server who anticipates your needs without hovering, yet is completely approachable. She's an absolute professional! One negative... the oysters were a little undersized, yet still very tasty!

The worst steak I’ve ever had in my life ! We had a party of 7 and everyone’s steak was horrible , they all were gray in color like they microwaved them ! Do NOT waste your time ! Absolutely a waste of money

Tonight was our first time dining at New York Prime and I must say - my wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience! Antonio was an excellent waiter who was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the bone-in ribeye and my wife ordered the filet and both were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside with juicy tender inside. The ambiance was fun and lively, with everyone having a good time. Will make sure to come back again and again!

I went to the restaurant yesterday night for my birthday. It was our first time going, we had an average experience at best. My girlfriend made a reservation at 8:20, we weren't seated until 8:53, and the server didn't stop by to get our drink order until 9pm. Our server was great, he was very professional, polite, attentive, and made our experience more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. We placed an order for a NY strip, a ribeye, a side of mashed potatoes, and mushrooms and two glasses of wine. Both of the sides were delicious but unfortunately we weren't overly impressed with the steaks. We both ordered them medium rare but got medium instead. We enjoy them at that temperature as well so it wasn't that big of the deal. The problem was that the steaks were overly charred which gave them a bitter after taste. We were only able to eat half of them before the taste became overwhelming and we lost our appetite. Another issue we had is that servers (not ours) constantly crashed their carts on our chairs/table which got a bit frustrating after the 4rth or 5th time. We also had bussers come by to pick up and drop off small side plates four times or so which was a bit strabge/amusing. They had live music so the atmosphere was lively. It was too loud for my taste but it was nice to see people enjoying the music and having a good time.

Reserved a table today, and they wanted to give us a table outside on 100F heat, stating that they don’t have a table inside.

Have eaten here over a dozen times. My last time was the first being outside. It was my favorite experience there yet.

Most of the food was great. The oysters Rockefeller were disappointing, but steak was excellent, the sides were fine, and the bread was outstanding. They need to do something about the acoustics. It was packed and so loud I couldn't hear the person across from me 2 feet away.

We had a great dinner. Sat outside which was ideal because the inside is really loud. They could do without the music. Too small for it. The steak was one of the best we have ever had and we have been to places all over the US. Great experience. Highly recommend.

FANTASTIC restaurant! Our first time there. The food was outstanding. A rather upscale place with darker lighting (think, NY style steakhouses). The servers were all wonderful and the food was to die for. We had bone-in ribeye and a seafood platter - both were perfect. The butter cake (I think it's called)? THE BEST THING YOU'LL EVER EAT! If you're in south Florida, make a dinner trip to this place. Not cheap, but worth it!

One of the worst steaks I’ve ever had!! I was on a date so I didn’t want to make a big deal of it. Every bite was fat and gristle. (I got the petite NY strip. I spit most out. Took the rest home and threw it away. A steak house with BAD STEAK! Never will I go again.

This place is excellent!! The service is beyond what a regular steak house has. The wait staff were all very friendly and seemed to work very well as a unit. They never missed an empty glass or a finished plate. I had an old fashion which was made to perfection. Our dinner was outstanding. I had the rib eye edges that were let’s say scrumptious. All in all this place was top notch!

Was standing there awkwardly for 30 min until they could seat us. My experience at New York Prime was nice. The food was great and so was the service. The atmosphere was upbeat, nice music and noise level was energetic. My only issue was that they only had outdoor seating available when I dined and the heaters outside weren’t warm enough. It was too cold to really enjoy the experience. Pricey but worth it.

The anticipation was high when my girlfriend and I made a reservation at 7:15 to dine here for our first Valentine’s dinner date. It was our first time dining at this establishment and most definitely the last. We had a reservation for 7:15 but didn’t get seated until 7:45. We had no idea what the dilemma was and every time I checked in to see what the hold up was, I was told our table was still being set up when we could visibly see tables that were open. What made this experience even worse was a couple who walked in at 7:30 that had a reservation at 6:30 that they clearly missed managed to get seated ahead of us which really grinded my gears but still decided to give the restaurant a shot since we were already committed. I ordered the lump crab on the side with my bone in rib eye and I got 5 lumps for grab for $13. Pretty remarkable. We had food we wanted to bring home and I asked our server to package the steak sauce and all the condiments that came with my baked potato. When we got home, we noticed none of this got packed for us so now we have to eat a stale potato also no sauce for my steak. From the management to the service was disappointedly piss poor for the amount of money you have to pay. I highly recommend no one step foot in this establishment as there are better options around in the area.

The food and service were amazing. Steak and shrimp perfectly seasoned and cooked. NY Cheesecake brought in from NY. A little on the high side of prices but very well worth it!

The New York Prime in Boca Raton is amazing! We stopped by last week when I was visiting my brother to Boca. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The Oysters rockefeller was incredible and I don’t love Oysters in general, but this was awesome. My brother in law and I had the Porterhouse for two, which were out of this world. My wife had the Lamb Chops which she loved and my sister in law had the Sea Bass which she also loved. After dinner we had the Butter Cake which was also really really good. Most of all the service was great. Everyone was very nice and attentive. We will return!

In an area with 4 high-end steakhouses, this one is the best food, best service, best atmosphere.

Came in on a Tuesday to find a mostly empty bar. I had made a 7pm reservation a few days prior but arrived at 6:30. The bartender was kind and gladly served us pre dinner drinks. We were sat promptly at 7 and had a nice waiter (didn’t introduce himself so not sure of his name). The food was fantastic. Service was good, but not over the top. They had live music that was wonderful and not too loud. The steak was perfect, as were the sides. Salad was a bit underwhelming. We enjoyed our experience and will be back. I’d say 4.2/5

Caesar salad was limp, baked potato wasn't cooked long enough. Bread other than the walnut raisin was just fair. Creamed spinach was so/so. I was raised in NY and compare steak houses with Peter Lugers. Sorry this one doesn’t compare.

This restaurant used to be great, I've been visiting it for 6 years, but after my last visit I'm not going to do it anymore. Everything started from appetizers, baked shrimp was farmed and the minced garlic on it was marinaded with a lot of vinegar, no taste at all. After ordering 2 appetizers I decided not to take the mane food, ordered a desert...they gave me a huge fork for it instead of the right one. After that manager asked us if we could leave the table and move to a bar, because we have been there for a too long time. I didn't finish my desert and left. It was a big insult when the manager said....."If you want to drink I can give you free drinks at the bar because other people are waiting for the table "... My friend couldn't even finish her food too, because workers were walking around the table and asking if everything was OK, they asked us about 10 times within an hour, hinting that we had to go. I haven't seen my friend for a long time, and 2 hours was too much for us to be there, that is what the manager said...

Overpriced dinner Seabass was fishy I couldn’t eat it $56. Everything was overpriced. I would not recommend this place.

If I could leave 0 stars, I totally would! I recently moved here from NYC, where you can have fine dining on every corner and can say one thing - stay away from this place! They are trying to copy NYC Peter Luger steakhouse. This note is for management - The customer service is seriously lacking, Overpriced, food was mehh, our waiter Vinny was not welcoming at all and vibes were off from the start.. NEVER AGAIN

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience here! Lou was an absolutely excellent server, he offered to take fun pictures of us at the table and was extremely knowledgeable. He described the steaks to be charred in a 1700° ring of fire! Nick made sure we were happy and was very friendly. Definitely will be coming back soon :)

Very disappointing! My server had no clue about serving lobster. The lobster was bland and unappealing. Our food was tasteless, presentation was horrible, steak was rubbery. We usually go here for our anniversary but to be quite honest, the whole experience has dropped off. Spent over $500 for a disappointing memory.

I recently visited New York Prime in Boca Raton with five others after arriving from Northern California. The entire experience was top-notch. The staff greeted us warmly and were highly accommodating throughout our visit. I ordered the Sliced Edge of Ribeye cooked medium-rare, paired with onion straws and a side of mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection and was the star of the meal. Our group also enjoyed bottles of Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, which complemented the dinner superbly. To cap off the evening, we shared a gigantic chocolate cake that easily served all six of us. The cake came with vanilla ice cream and was the perfect way to end our meal. Both the staff and food exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend New York Prime to anyone looking for excellent service and quality cuisine. We will definitely be returning.

Great old school Steak House! I’ve tried a couple of the new steak houses in the area and they just don’t compare. NY Prime dishes are always hot! I can’t say how important that is and how consistent their service and food quality is. I just had a Veal Chop and you can taste the aged flavor it’s incredible! Crab cakes all meat no filler, Baked shrimp appetizers is also fantastic. Jim & Crystal behind the bar are a great team and always make us feel at home no mater how busy the restaurant is. This is our #1 place in Boca.

we had reserved last night for celebrate friend HB and request for high chair and when we arrived NO high chair NO kids menu. and the waiter was not nice.

LYNN the “blond” female bartender @ NYP Boca, would be better suited as a female prison guard in maximum-security prison !!! In my opinion, LYNN is unprofessional, and has a horrible attitude that reflects in her work. I’ve been a loyal customer for 20 years & will never return as long as LYNN is there. BTW, the other 5 people at the bar felt the same way about LYNN.

This is a hard one. A four star review with fives for the rest seems silly but, if you want great service (friendly and attentive), a nice steakhouse atmosphere, and food that is pretty darned good then this may be the place for you. That is IF you have the time to wait nearly two hours for dinner to arrive. I mean, IF you have that kinda time, then yes, this place.

What can I say, this place is amazing. The food is over the top, the valet guys are super attentive and the service and entertainment are what you need and want from a steak house. Highly recommended. Management great job

Going to New York Prime is like going to back I time to when restaurants truly cared about service and your experience. So much more than just steak 🥩. I have been going since I have been a baby. One of my favorite stops every time I am back in town. Food is excellent, Lobster🦞cracked and served table side is special. Same with the tableside pasta and the dessert was a butter cake that was out of this world.

We came in for dinner last night and had a reservation. My husband went up to the bar to see about possibly getting seats there. He talked with the blonde bartender. She informed him that they take a waiting list, we had no issue with that knowing it was a busy night. When my husband mentioned we prefer the bar and asked how to get on the list she said, “well there’s 4 people ahead of you so good luck with that” or something along those lines and then rolled her eyes and walked away. We were absolutely shocked at how someone could be so rude. The tone in her voice was condescending and disrespectful. At that point we were ready to walk out on our reservation entirely and never come back to New York Prime. Luckily the brunette behind the bar saw how he was spoken to and quickly came over to address it. She so kind, she said understood because she prefers the bar when she goes out to eat as well. Then let us know she would add us to the list and do her absolute best to get us seated when something became available. She really saved the day. However, if you see the blonde at the bar BEWARE. I wouldn’t sit there with her, I’d find your seat at a table far far away.

Great experience last night. Daniella was our server and she was incredible. Great breads, appetizers and main courses. Sorry there was no room for dessert.

I had the Redfish which was delicious and the wedge salad was tasty. Solid old fashioned. Great service! We got there around 6:00 and the atmosphere was pleasant, but as it started getting this year, it got very loud! The butter cake was decadent.

What's to say except it's pricey. Both food and service are outstanding. I had the bone-in ribeye. Cooked to perfection. (Asked for meat gravy to put on it and server didn't know what I was talking about. Did have steak sauce that was decent.)

I dined here the last time I visited boca but wanted to try the new restaurant yesterday but I regretted it. Should have returned to new York prime. It's much better.
