My first time at Nifty Fifties was an absolute flawless experience. Theresa, Joe and Missy are such classy individuals and can make a delicious Reuben sandwich. It’s clear that everything made here is made with love. Such a welcoming environment as well and I definitely will be coming back. Very clean and a variety of meals to choose from on the menu. Highly recommend!

The Gobbler on dark rye OMG You won't regret it

Stopped here for the first time for fish. Staff seemed very unorganized. The fish was extremely overcooked. Fries and mac n cheese were very good. Will give another chance but did not live up to other reviews.

I had a fish sandwich with french fries tonight.... The piece of fish was about the size of a piece of dinner fish and a very good sub type roll.... Enough French fries for 2 people..... Very good place... I have had their Philly cheese steak Sandwich previously and that was excellent..... If you order a whole bring somebody with you to split it....

Used to go here when I lived in NY years ago. The customer service here makes you feel like your in another time period, I say that in a very good way. It's like the old school feeling of a family atmosphere that can be scene on Nick-at-Nite, executed very well. It's always good to see the ladies here. Food choices are good here as well. Make sure to ask for their "boom-boom" sauce. Even if they charge you for it, it will defiantly be worth it!

Needless to say, but I’m going to, this place is a keeper. Go invest money here don’t can stay forever please. I’ve never had a Reuben with pastrami, and I may never go back. Their Oink & Cluck (egg salad with bacon) is just a must. Half sandwich’s fill me up, and the prices are competitive with almost anyplace equivalent. People who work there are golden souls. If you like an old school feel to a place, amazing soup, love Mac and cheese, or just AMAZING sandwiches; go here please. Please.

I was very disappointed this time. I had a neutron bomb on a sub roll and the roll was awful. Very stale. I tossed most of it. It is supposed to come with lettuce but I could find little. I asked for onions but there were none. But the sub roll was terrible. UPDATE: After posting that review, the owner Theresa, contacted me and apologized for the issues I had. She was very quick to make things right. I am extremely satisfied. More update: Another visit, wonderful again. Highly recommended! We love the place!

1-10 (10 excellent). Fish was a 4. It tasted ok prepared in a timely manner. Tarter sauce was a little off; not very creamy. French fries were plentiful but salty, greasy and not very tasty. Atmosphere 6. Cute set up, clear menus with prices. Clean. Employees get a 1. I was greeted upon entry but they were unfriendly, scowling. There was about 2 other customers eating/ordering. I almost fell as there were 4 worn rugs along counter which overlapped each other. I tripped on the edge of the last rug. Staff never even acknowledged me as I crashed into counter and black wall trying to remain upright. I may come again for a fish sandwich if I’m desperate and have someone willing to traverse the uneven rugs for me. Just saying

Went in for 2 fish dinners this evening, and was VERY impressed! Got a VERY good sized fish with good fries, and my father and I really enjoyed it! The staff and the owner were really nice too!

Cute place. Burger was undercooked though. Husbands cold sandwich was made before they even made my burger so awkward with him waiting 10 minutes with his food on the table before I got mine. They seem very unorganized here,Ike they are tripping over one another to make the orders.

Very busy on a Friday in Lent with seafood orders. Not a problem. 30 minutes pass and the girl that took my order realizes she never put it in my clam dinner order and has a good laugh about it with her coworker. I know, right? Hilarious. Plenty of other places I can patronize, as I surely will.

Great prices and friendly service. Sadly the "chili" they served me was basically a cup of oil... no beans, no veggies, just oil and ground beef. The corn chowder was pretty good, just bland.

Had there steak sandwich, it was good until I put their steak sauce on it. That sauce was gross. Couldn't eat the sandwich. Just use A1 like everyone else.

Itty bitty hole in the wall stuffed with delicious flavor. Ordered a full Reuben to share with my husband. They kindly split it on two plates for us! Side of a 12oz homemade mac and cheese and a couple Hoffman hotdogs for the kids. All the bread comes from Geddes bakery in N. Syracuse!
