Food is very good, but there is not a buffet here. There is one in town, but food is not as good as Nirvana.

Lamb biryani is a MUST TRY!!! It is the worst biryani I have ever tasted. After this one any biryani in any place in the world will taste decent. It tastes like white rice was mixed with “biryani seasoning” packet, frozen peas and carrots added. Lamb was cooked separately (at least a day before, judging by how firm and flavourless is it. Even hard to say if it is lamb). Spices… 1/3 of intensity it should be. Heat level just adds pain, but no flavour. Like pure capsaicin was added. Yogurt based sauce will make it borderline bearable. Chicken Tikka Masala is fine tho. But again, spices intensity and heat combination has nothing in common with proper Indian dishes.

Super happy with the food here! We loved the wide range of vegetarian options. The veggie pakoras were delicious and a large portion. The saag paneer was very spinach-y! This isn't one of those places where it's mostly cream. Very green and delicious. We also got the bhaigan bhartha (eggplant) and enjoyed it. We had enough leftovers for another small meal. The service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely be back.

This is one of our favorite places. The food is most excellent, prices are great for the quality and quantity. We often get orders to go and leftovers typically las three days. I highly recommend the shrimp korma and nan bread. Chicken curry is very good as well.

The food was really bad. It seemed like they hadn’t even cooked the spices and the curry tasted raw and underdone. The rice was also overcooked. Honestly quite disappointing since it’s so well rated but I will not be returning.

I am sad to report that my Tandoori chicken was a HUGE disappointment. Not only was the meat dry but the outer layer was leathery. The only flavor was that of a bit of heat - I couldn't taste any of the usual spices -- just bleh. The chicken seemed like it was from the night before. If I had not had a time limitation, I would have returned my order to the restaurant.

Everything besides the gulab jamun was good. Disappointed the menu said navrattan korma had nuts, this was not the case. Recommend: lamb samosas & korma & malai kofta.

If you like authentic food that tastes straight out of India, this is the place! We were helped with our order pairings and walked out full and wishing this restaurant was located in our town. We'd definitely be regular patrons.

Literally the best Indian food in Oregon. I've been to a LOT of Indian restaurants. Lots of vegan options. Everything is bursting with flavor. Service and vibe is great.

Everything was good. Food was great. Only downside is for the price portions could have been a bit bigger.

We love Indian food so as we were passing through Corvallis we were very happy to see that Corvallis now has a couple of selections for Indian restaurants. After reading the reviews, we selected Nirvana as the one we would try. Upon entering, we were impressed with how clean the restaurant was, very neat and orderly, but didn't have a lot of Indian decorum. The Hostess (also our server) was quick to greet and seat us, then returned to take our order. She was quick, efficient, and very pleasant. The wait for our food was pretty quick (about 10 minutes - pretty quick for Indian food). I ordered the Chicken Makhani and my Wife ordered the Navarattan Korma, along with a plain Naan and she had the Chai tea. The tea came first, and it was very lightly spiced, so much so that it was more like warm milk. Both of our entrees had a very thin sauce - not the rich and creamy sauce that is the bedrock of Indian food. The flavor on my dish was very good, but my Wife's had a little too much of a spice called Mehti, giving it kind of a strange, almost floral flavor. The Naan was great, so we used it to soak up some of the sauce. Overall, I would say that the food wasn't the best we had ever eaten, but it also wasn't the worst, so I rated the food as a 3, the service was great, so rated that a 5, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive, but lacking decorations, therefore a 4. I don't think we will return, but I wish the Owners well.

Don’t know how its always so slow in here! Food is amazing as always! Got the garlic naan, murgh makhani, and Keema mushroom curry. So good, and the owners are so polite. Overall 9/10 Only reason is because I didn’t like the chai. Lacking spices like cinnamon, cardamom, etc. wish it smelt and tasted more like chai. Not too bad though.

This is the best Indian food in Corvallis! While it is a bit pricer than other options in the valley, this place is worth the cost. Without having to drive to Portland, you can get some great food here. The seating is not super fancy, but does the job (you’re here for the food anyway). Take out is also an option here since they give you a box for the food so it stays warm for the drive home. Thanks Nirvana! Keep up the excellent work. We will be back

Good food, good price, it was ready as expected.

My new favorite dish: cabbage aloo! Spiced just right and the potatoes were grilled not mushy. We had 6 other dishes and everything was consumed heartily. Very enjoyable meal with friends.

Nirvana gave me and my son one of the best meals we've had out in a long time. Great flavor, served hot. Lots to choose from and absolutely genuine warm and friendly staff. Two huge thumbs up! Thank you for a great experience.

Best Indian Food in Corvallis, tucked away in the Winco shopping center, near Starbucks. I love the incredible food, flavors and wonderful service at Nirvana every time that we are able to enjoy eating at this family owned and operated Indian Food restaurant. The owners are so kind and pleasant. While they no longer have the buffet (it went away when the pandemic years hit), they still have both the best prices for lunch specials, and the best flavors you can find on the traditional Indian food scene here in Corvallis. So thankful whenever we are able to enjoy a meal here and always think of them first, when we decide to eat out.

I usually don't like Tikka Masala, but it was amazing here

First time here after living at the opposite end of Corvallis for a long time and finally getting it together to go. I read the reviews before going and want to provide the following as a response to other reviews I've seen: 1) It was not too salty. I do not cook with a lot of salt myself, but I actually added a small amount of salt at one point and I thought that brought out the flavors a bit better. Just a little. So it seems like the people claiming there was too much salt have won, probably to everyone else's detriment. 2) I got it spicy and it was excellent. This was for dinner, so I can't speak for the buffet, but this was plenty spicy. 3) The rice was not short-grained, as implied in some reviews. It was not wet or mushy. It's rice. They didn't mess it up. I thought it was quite good. Maybe those reviews that mention a short-grained rice or whatever are from the days of pandemic shortages. The rice was very good. I had lamb samosas (with two very tasty sauces) and the spicy chicken makhani with garlic naan. They spiced up the makhani in a couple of ways, including adding fresh peppers. It was all very tasty. I have no complaints about the atmosphere, per se, except that it's in a mall. So I gave that part 3 stars. Parking was obviously abundant, but who cares? I rode my bike because the whole town is five miles from one end to the other. Cars kill cities. But I digress. This should be the downtown Indian restaurant, not Evergreen.

they use frozen vegetables to prepare veg dishes. what a shame. not sure about 4+ stars. terrible food. rice was sticky not Indian flavor at all. date sept 24

Broccoli in Navratna Kurma? Nah. 3 stars only. Cheap plastic containers for take out are also big no.

A delicious family restaurant. I definitely recommend stopping by. The charming atmosphere and excellent service complement the fantastic food. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, delicious appetizers, and variety. Vegans and vegetarians will be happy to see an entire vegetable-based menu where many of the items are vegan or can be served vegan. I definitely recommend stopping by!

This place is really good, I highly recommend it. Some reviews say it's expensive but that's what fresh high quality food costs, you can pay 5 bucks less and get fast food if you want but that's gross.

The food is extremely mild. If you can not handle spice you will love it. But if you like heat in your curry it will be disappointing. The service was excellent, the portions were on the smaller side but it will fill you up. Just no left-overs. 3 stars considering the almost 20 dollar dishes before tip.

I don't associate this place with Indian food. It is nowhere close to Indian food.. Raw spices flavors and the taste is terrible. Biryani is nowhere close to biryani.. Butter chicken lacks flavors and felt they added artificial colors rather than actually cooking properly..

The food is delicious! They are so fast and very kind. I've tried the Aloo Gobhi, Vegetable Biriyani and garlic nan which were all flavorful and filling. Great vegetarian options.

I asked for extra spicy and I got extra spicy! It was delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala, Sag Paneer, vegetable pakora, lamb filled naan were all delicious. I would have liked a little more mint in the mint chutney. The rice was aromatic and cooked perfectly.

Takeout order was made super fast! This place is amazing. The Malai Koftaa is the best I’ve ever had. The garlic naan is also exceptional. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Great food, it was a little quiet, we ordered chicken korma, lamb curry, garlic naan and chicken tori and a mango lassi. You also can adjust the level of spice which was great. We will return and would recommend!

I ordered the chicken makhani, which I do at all establishments. I enjoyed each bite of the dish. I do feel as if the level of sodium was quite high, although some people might enjoy this aspect. I will return to try another dish, soon.

I have been to so many Indian Restaurants in America's different states like New York, Georgia, Nevada, California etc. but didn't find the real taste of India even in some of them I could not eat even half of a Naan. A year ago we happened to visit Corvallis and we by change went to Nirvana Restaurant and we had Aloo-Naan with Shahi-Paneer and Dal-Makhani. Thank God we at least found a place we can have a real taste of India. I recommend, really, if anyone is fond of Indian food one should, at least, once must try their food. One more thing I want to mention here that it's run by a family which surly it well- mannered, well-behaved and well cultured and hard to compere whether their food is better or family itself. Not only their food gives the fragrance of India but their attitude and behavior too.

i thought it was very strange that they only serve short grain, quite wet rice with all their entrees. i thought that basmati was the standard for indian restaurants and honestly it threw the whole meal. very different texture and taste. not good. won’t be coming back.

I don’t have lamb or bread often, but I ordered some curry with naan today and it was soooo yummy. Hit the spot! Always a great stop while in Corvallis. Good people work here and the food never disappoints. Oh, and FYI: their “medium” spicy 🌶 is perfect! 👌🏼 Not too hot and not too mild. I Love it 😋

Like a hometown American restaurant but for Indian culture. The staff are welcoming and inviting, attentive, and friendly. The food is amazing, beats any other in town by a mile for half the price. Excellent spot to discover dishes outside of what most folks know, but they have the staples, too. Never skip the naan. Most folks prefer to- go food, but it's worth a sit-in meal.

The buffet is great, don't get me wrong, but the dinner plates are what truly shine. I will definitely be going to Nirvana a lot more often now. The service was fantastic, they are so polite and my water glass was never empty. I was so surprised by the price. We ordered a chicken curry, a vegetable dish, and 2 orders of garlic Naan bread and it was under $25! I'm new to the Corvallis area so it was great to find this little gem. Update: Nirvana is still serving amazing food. They are consistently good and I've never had a bad time there.

The food was wonderful. The service was great. 😊Was asked a couple of times if we wanted Naan. They even reminded us that Naan is famous! 😁 Had to explain that we didn't get Naan because one of us where allergic. Everyone laughed and all was well. I'll be sure to get two orders of naan next time to make up for it.

Ordered for pick up and took ~ 20 minutes! So not bad. Chana masala with garlic naan was delicious! I wish it had a little more heat personally but this dinner made a vegetarian very happy.

Visiting from out of town, we were craving some good Indian food and Nirvana Indian Restaurant delivered. Although the Mango Lassi is good, we enjoyed the garlic naan and absolutely loved the Shrimp Sagwala (Spinach Cream) and Sag Paneer (Spinach Cream with Cottage Cheese). We would highly recommend the place to anyone in the future. Be thankful to their family restaurant during this tough time of COVID.

We've been ordering take out from Nirvana and the food has been delicious! Our kids love the chana dal and mango lassi and I love the lamb dishes, daals, and chai. Their samosas are really good too. It takes forever to make good indian food so its nice that there is a place to get good indian food when we don't have time to make it ourselves - plus it tastes better from Nirvana!

This place is incredible especially that lunch deal. All the sides they give you are delicious and the main dish is phenomenal. Everything is very flavorful. My favorite Indian food in this area.

Owners are very nice. Flavor of the navrattan korma was good, but not nearly the best I've ever had. Chana masala was missing something, it just tasted like a version I would try to make at home. I will return again some time and sample the tandoori fare.

The food is fantastic! I have eaten the buffet for lunch which had a great variety of choices as well as gotten take out which was to die for. This is my top choice for Indian food in the area.

The folks who own this place are friendly and personable if you chat with them. I ordered some take out to be ready when I was done grocery shopping. I let them know I liked it spicy and they delivered! Delicious food, great flavor and plenty of heat/spice. I have also had thr buffet which was great: tons of tasty options!

I was pleasantly surprised. The food in the buffet was not nearly as heavy or greasy as I have previously experienced in Indian cuisine. The spices were perfect. I have never had better tandoori chicken.

Order Sag Lamb "mild" and Chicken Tandoori "medium" and you'll be in "food heaven"
