Another devine mother/daughter food experience at NBFC. We started with the fried gator tails. AMAZING! Shrimp & Grits have never served me wrong at this establishment. My mini-me enjoyed the fried combo of 3...and of course mimosas. The portions filled us up keeping us away from dessert. The waitstaff checked on us regularly, clearing away any empty plates expeditious. We love this place and the food.

Packed on a Friday night but thankfully we had reservations. Our small group of 6 ordered a variety of appetizers including fish dip, artichokes , fried green tomatoes, and shrimp. All good. We ordered the special on the board - halibut over cheddar mashed potatoes, with green beans, Mexican street corn and jalapeño gastrique (thankfully I requested this on the side — it was hot!). We were notified they ran out of halibut and were substituting red snapper. Then before our meal was delivered, they told us they were out of the cheddar mashed potatoes! Probably should have taken that special off the board! They substituted what seemed like 4 cubes of redskin potatoes. The snapper was excellent. The potatoes weren’t hot but mildly warm (3 out of 10)! Not a fan of the bowl of Mexican street corn. And the jalapeño gastrique was a honey like syrup with diced peppers that set my mouth on fire. The fish was fantastic without it. Price wasn’t posted on the special board but it turned out to be $38 on our bill. Also had the prime sirloin with peppercorn, mixed vegetables and French fries that looked like potato wedges. ($26). Steak was cooked perfectly but overall everything on the plate would have been better if hotter. Another couple got the shrimp boil for two and loved it. Our friend didn’t care for the salad with watermelon. Great vibe and good service. We were still talking about it the next day.

We had an amazing experience at North Beach Fish Camp! The atmosphere and vibes are great. Our server Kallen was the best and the food and drinks were delicious! The manager kept checking on us, and their customer service was amazing when 1 of our meals took a little longer than the others. We'll definitely go back when we're in the area!

Our server was amazing. The food was on point. Everything was fresh and hot. I highly recommend the conch fritters. They were delicious. Also the wedge Bleu cheese salad was so good and huge. The fried green tomatoes with goat cheese melted in your mouth 🤤 the mango mojito was refreshing and the high tide drink was strong but so good.

fish was fresh and mainly well seasoned. service was friendly but not 100% attentive. Overall a good experience. Don't order the octopus - that dish is overcooked crumbs of what could have been octopus on a bed of lettuce.

My wife and I decided to take our son here for lunch as this was the last weekend in town before heading to College. We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 12 years and have truly seeing the quality of the food dwindling downwards. We ordered appetizers and the Ceviche tasted old and had an iron after taste. When my family ordered individual sea food boil for each of them, the crab cluster only came with two legs. In all my travels and many restaurants, all crab clusters come with 5 legs. I have attached the picture of the plate and a normal crab cluster anywhere else. By the way, the restaurant staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant management needs to understand that although we are in a recession, the plates need to be fresh, full of flavor, and plentiful in order to stay in business even through hard times.

Terrible food, for sure it has no Chef, I understood that when they served me a ceviche with crackers, looks like a good restaurant but it is fake!

Every meal we had tasted fabulous. Salmon, red snapper, and the kid had a fish sandwich. Although on the pricey side, the food and atmosphere can’t be beat. Plus the wait staff was extremely friendly and courteous. I definitely recommend to try at least once.

We ordered Salmon, it was perfect. The area is nice and the restaurant is very clean on the beach. Perfect place for a family dinner.

The food and service were amazing! It was a Friday night, which was very crowded, which made it loud. However, I would expect that on a weekend.

As always food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Shout out for Rob, Rhino and Paul for always taking such good care of us. Service and food is always spot on!

Food was good but my girlfriend has a gluten allergy and they said they could accommodate, she still had an allergic reaction.

Oysters were fabulous! Drinks at the bar were delicious and bartenders were very attentive! It was a very busy night and I chose the halibut special, but they ran out of the starch (risotto) so I opted for collard greens... I'm sure it tasted better with the risotto! Shrimp and grits were good per my friend!

First time here when we were visiting Florida and everything was so good , our server was excellent. We definitely enjoyed every meal we order.

I love being by the beach. It is not on the ocean but a short stroll away. The food is fresh and delicious always.

My significant other and I had dinner 7.20.24. We had the 3 combinations platter. The oysters were fried to perfection!👌 The shrimp were HUGE, and the scallops were incredible. Customer was service amazing! We will be back!!!😊

A great place, we sat at the bar for brunch and were treated to great company by the staff and other patrons! The star though was the grits! No water- straight cream based, the only true way to prepare grits!!

We were seated near the entrance and there was a lot of movement by our table. Other than that… the food and drinks were great, the waitress was very nice and suggested some specials. Close to the beach and the other local restaurants/bars. Didn’t see any gift shops nearby. A great place to grab a bite after the beach tho.

We have eaten here multiple times and I don't think there has been anything I've had that I didn't like! The food is amazing, the staff is fantastic and the atmosphere, being at the beach, is really great! Our latest visit was for my birthday. The manager, Rob, greeted us when we walked in. The place was packed on a Monday night! Despite the place being full, our server Daryll, was attentive and hilarious! We had a few scallop appetizers which are by far the best on the menu! We also had shrimp, oysters, the fish special of the night, which was to die for, sangria, and mango cheesecake! Everyone left stuffed and in really good spirits. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner. So much fun! Highly recommend, 10/10!!

Ricky was the BEST waiter ever!!! And the food .... WOW!!! I had the ribeye special. My girlfriend had the crab cakes the whole table. The six of us were so impressed with the food. It's absolutely amazing and the service, the food runners, the folks that are running around grabbing the plates that were done with, it was absolutely wonderful. We did not want for anything. We never had to ask for anything. We love it!!

Food and service were great, friendly people, nice ambiance and located near the beach. What a nice place to spend an evening out. It's a bit pricey but worth the trip.

This is my favorite restaurant in Neptune Beach. I make it a priority to dine there every time I am in the area. The food is delicious and the service is great.

High quality seafood at reasonable beach prices paired with attentive service. Catch of the day was blackened trigger fish. Crispy fries with tasty Cole slaw. Hush puppies were awesome!

The service and food were phenomenal. Our group went for dinner and were sat immediately. Our server was very attentive. He gave recommendations from the menu and also about the crab legs that were not listed. We opted for the crab legs and they were the best we’ve ever had, doused in Cajun seasoning which made them incredibly flavorful. A guest in our group does not like seafood and got the bacon cheddar burger plate, which was also fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and was brought to our table at perfect temperatures. In my opinion, the North Beach Fishcamp is the best restaurant in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Our group even thought about going to eat there a second night during our vacation.

I had a private party in the room upstairs and it was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, the food, service and drinks were so great and all my guests were so pleased. I highly recommend for private events!

The Food was very fresh and delicious especially enjoyed the Shrimp cocktail appetizer and the Salmon was amazing. Mitchell was our waiter he was pleasant and very friendly. 😊

Being a frequent customer of North Beach Fish Camp, in addition to the one at Palm Valley, this restaurant has always been a reliable place for good food. However, the last meal was average with a broiled platter featuring tiny, tiny shrimp that almost reminded one of something store bought. In addition, fried fish ordered by others in our party was bland tasting. The other issue is that the menu has stayed very consistent over the years, almost to a fault. With the exception of the daily fresh catch, there has been virtually no change in what’s offered. All in all, it is time to lessen the visits and take a break from the Fish Camp locations.

These ppl are not biased and very professional in this hectic era of the year 2024.

Enjoyed my father's day today with my family and had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion, especially if you love seafood.

One of my local favorite restaurants. Good quality food and exceptional service. On the weekends, or holidays, you'll want to get there early to beat the crowd. You may want to consider making reservations.

Whoa. EVERYTHING was delicious. Our table ordered 8 different plates and absolutely all of it was delicious. My favorites: blackened Mahi Mahi and the grits.

Service was great from the host to the manager, Jeff. The entrees were great. My disappointment was with the octopus appetizer. It tasted great but the dime sized slices, to appear more substantial, next to a garnish of useless salad was a letdown. You're doing a disservice by assuming people won't pay for a good portion. Only 1 item to critique is not bad! We can't wait to see you next time we're in town. Thanks to your upstairs crew on 6/7/24.

Had lunch with the hubby. Happy they had outdoor seating wrapping the circumference of the actual restaurant. We dined outdoors. Had a dozen oysters for an appetizer. They were delish! Price says MP. We paid $20.00 per dozen. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini from the bar. It was perfect! Cost was steep, $20.00 each! Even at my 5 star hotels, it's a little less. We ordered the fried seafood. You can select three. I had fish, shrimp, and scallops. Fish was cut into bite sized pieces. Meal came with fries, hush puppies, and Cole slaw, but I ordered the collards instead. They were fresh and tasty. Food was fried to a golden brown and everything was fresh, lightly seasoned, and lightly battered. Portion wasn't huge, but totally filling! Cost was $22.00. Overall, we had a pleasant visit. Even on a colder day with the breeze from the nearby ocean, the heaters above provided warmth. Worth it! Okay. I returned and tried it again. It was approximately 230pm. We had a nonchalant waitress who came after we told them we hadn't been seen. We ordered fried green tomatoes which were really good. The veggies were also delish. I ordered a low country boil for one and it was awful! The sausage was rubbery and the seafood was overcooked. I managed to eat the 5 shrimp and two clams, but the crab cluster was split and they only gave me two legs from the cluster. I told the manager it was a poorly prepared crab leg and he provided another. I was again disappointed. He then came out and found out about my allergies and told me about gluten free options. He actually went back and prepared a sample for me to try. That meant a lot!!! Otherwise the place is still worth visiting. Great area, good drinks and a caring manager.

Our server Tom was absolutely the best and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and a hell of a mixologist. Definitely recommend 5 out 5

My husband and I usually love to go here for their shrimp and grits. We went on Friday night to get our favorite shrimp and grits, but it was terrible. It was more like soup with only four shrimp in it. It was a little after 9 o'clock, so maybe that's why it wasn't as good as what we're used to getting there. It was like they added water to it to make the dish. I just wished we were told that it was too close to closing time and they didn't have enough grits. Hopefully the next time will be better, and we will make sure to go earlier than 9pm.

I will eat here again. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress checked on how we were doing throughout the meal and was very aware of gluten-free items on the menu and checked to make sure the cod I ordered could be made gluten free. The manager checked to make sure I was enjoying gluten-free meal.

Everything was great. Even enjoyed the hush puppies, which I usually find disgusting. Great outdoor seating. Choose the corner table, best breeze. Dog friendly.

It's really been "meh" the last few times I've been here. The shrimp burger I had was watery and honestly a sad sad dish.

Excellent food and service, but it’s really loud in there. Still absolutely worth it! Broiled seafood platter and the fresh fish were both good!

Food is awesome. They had steak as a special one of the times I went, and the sauce/butter they put on it was absolutely incredible. I do not like to eat steak but I could’ve easily eaten the whole thing. Their fish sandwich is really good; the fish tastes very fresh! I’ve tried something different every time I go, and each time it’s amazing. It’s in a great location but it is very busy on weekends. Be prepared to wait. You can dress up or down, because it’s a nicer restaurant but also it’s basically on the beach so you have people that came from the beach. It’s pet friendly. People bring their dogs and sit outside. Drinks are also delicious!

Crowded and very noisy. Maybe nosiest restaurant ever. They turned away many people without a reservation. Hard to have a conversation at the same table. Food was very good. Had the roast cod. Would recommend it. Make a reservation, which you can do online. Just noisy.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here and like the first time, it was terrific. We’ve had the salmon, fish platter, fish sandwiches and deviled crab. Everything was really good. This may be the best seafood place on the east coast (and I’ve been to quite a few!). Service is excellent and the location is convenient to the beach and hotels.

I'm sad to say I wouldn't go back or recommend the restaurant. Both the peel & eat shrimp & calamari were rubbery and the fish in the sandwich tasteless (aside from the zesty sauce). I did not inform our server because I was a guest on a special occasion, and having worked in the food industry myself, I felt it was the state of the seafood itself, which the chef would've been be hard pressed to modify. My only guess is that maybe it'd been frozen?? [Although, it didn't smell fishy at all, which is a usual indicator for that in my experience. ***For transparency sake, I did not note whether the menu indicated if the seafood was fresh or previously frozen.] Seafood is my absolute favorite; based on the location and price, it did not meet expectations. ~Sorry 😕

Eric T aka Shark is a phenomenal server. Very personable from the start and probably sells more daily specials than anyone else with the way he describes them. We brought the doggo, so we were outside, and Eric treated him as he would any other guest at his tables. Even made him a covered water bowl since it was a bit windy with some rain coming in. We got a little wet, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway, and the food was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend! Ask for Eric when you go!

Had a girls lunch, and the food was great. I had the roasted beet salad, a half dozen oysters, and my friend had the shrimp salad with a side crabcake, and we shared a bottle of wine. My only complaint is I had requested outdoor seating on my reservation, arrived right on time and and was told we had to wait at least 15 minutes. As we sat indoors at a window table, I could see that another party only had water, so they had just been seated. But everything else was terrific.

Always happy with the service, atmosphere and the food, every time has my taste buds tap dancing. There is no way you will be disappointed. Our server was amazing as well. I forgot her name, but she has big hair, very neat dreads. She took great care of us. My go to seafood restaurant. Will be yours as well after your first visit. If I lived on the beach I’d definitely be a regular at this location.

North Beach Fish Camp Management see the 1 Star. I will admit that the food is usually good with exception of today's visit. The wife ordered a side of oysters but they were mostly fried crumbles. Upon returning oysters/crumbles the manager stated that he would NOT send out a new batch as this is how they all will come out. The take away is that the quality is starting to tank or the manager had an obtuse approach to our dining experience. Thinking it's the latter. We would usually let it go and write it off as a bad meal but felt handled poorly by the manager. We drop in to North Beach Fish Camp when going back home to Orlando from Augusta GA but will find another seafood experience in Jax on our next visit.

I got the cheese & crackers. My friend got Crab cakes. I thought the food was good they have other menu items to try I do not understand why the coffee was always lukewarm both cups.

Just experienced the worst presentation of oysters ever. They were mere crumbles. When asked for a better serving I was told they were all that way! Unbelievable...told the manager or whoever the gentleman was to take them off the bill. Why go to a seafood place if you can't get seafood. Nobody wants fried crumbles. Oh yeah the fish is disappointing too if you like country fried...they cut the fish into little pieces. Who does that? Just, avoid the traffic and poor servings and go somewhere else. I should have taken a picture so y'all can see.

This was our first time eating here, but it won't be our last. The cocktails, oysters, and our meals were delicious. I have to call out their French fries. They are the best I've ever eaten.

I got sick after this (maybe the raw oysters or my cocktail stay-cation) my husband ate everything except those items and wasn’t unwell afterwards. The food was good, broiled in our opinion was better than fried and the bread pudding was a treat. It gets very busy here so make a reservation if you don’t want to hang around waiting.

We went on a Friday and didn't have reservations. Our wait was 1.5 hrs. While waiting, we ordered appetizers (smoked fish dip and calamari), and they were delicious. I my meal consisted of broiled oysters, steamed/seasoned red shrimp, and beet /goat cheese salad. Everything was delicious. My friends ordered the fried seafood dinner and spicy seafood linguini, and they said it was delicious. When we were closing our bill, the manager comp'd us the appetizers we ordered because of the long wait we endured. If you go on a Friday, I suggest making a reservation. There is complimentary valet parling available.

Surprisingly there is a large menu to choose from, we came in for lunch. Osters and crab legs were fresh, recommend the seafood platter. Service was great. Place stays busy.

Servers are great. We had 4 different dishes. Grilled mahimahi was a bit dry. Shrimp&grits taste good. Octopus is not recommended. They don’t know how to tenderize octopus. It was rubbery.

Host/hostess station is inefficient / incompetent. Made a reservation for 8pm. At 7:55 the hostess say "check closer to 8". I say, "we're sitting at the bar". At 8:15 "we're waiting for some tables to leave". Again, I point and say "ok, were sitting right there at the bar." Not once did she mention she would only communicate via text message. 8:45 checked again..."we gave your table away since you didn't respond to our text". I told her twice we were sitting at the bar. We like to enjoy a night out without phones. Disappointing. Bartenders and waitstaff are great.

Did not get sat for 1.5 hours after we put our name in … apparently they let someone else take our seating. Then when we finally did get sat, we did not get service for another 20 min before expressing our disappointment and leaving. Could have been great, but the service failed us.

Great place. Upstairs bar is a little odd to find a spot. Oysters are fresh. Great people watching and attentive team. Great value for dirty martini and a dozen oysters.

It's kind of loud in there. It's everyone that I know agrees about that place, I prefer the Palm Valley location

North Beach Fish Camp was a 5/5 on the meals 3/3 on appetizers. Everything was freakin delicious. Out of 5 of us , everyone had the same opinion, great food. Sorry I forgot to take pics and thought about half way through my meal. I had the fresh catch Blackened Trigger Fish with collard greens, grits and gravy. I also added the Smoked Bacon Butter Beans. I put the gravy on top of my grits, fish was perfect, collards were tasty just a great meal all the way around. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and highly recommend it if in the area or make a trip just to eat here is worth it.

5 stars for entrees and service (and splitting checks for a big party). 3.5 stars for appetizers. We had a reservation for 7 pm for a party of 13 on Friday, 3/29/24. Free valet parking a short walk away. Our table was ready on time and we were seated right away! Great for big parties! The appetizers were pretty basic, but the entrees were great. Here’s what I had: - Smoked Fish Spread ($9): Tasted like the whitefish salad from Costco. - Spicy Pimento Cheese Spread ($8): Tasted like the pimento cheese from Costco. - Crispy Artichoke Hearts ($9): Good! - Grilled Salmon ($28): Delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly. The spinach and potatoes were good too! Highly recommend! For drinks, I got the Hot Mama ($11) and Cucumber Basil Gimlet ($12). Both were very good! So reasonably priced! Great service! Everyone enjoyed their entrees. We also got some very tasty dessert! The best part of all was that they were able to do individual checks. We asked beforehand and they were more than willing to accommodate us! I would definitely go back, especially with a big party.

Visited my properties in Jacksonville early last month and had an amazing dinner at North Beach Fish Camp. The food and service was great but the thing that really got me was........I realized today that I lost my receipt so I called as I needed to enter my expenses today! I called, spoke with Rob Carroll who stopped what he was doing, searched for my receipt and texted it to me less than five minutes later. Rob you're appreciated!!! :)

Were in Jax beach for 4 day weekend, and ended up having dinner here twice in 4 days..that's how good this place is. Our first night we went all seafood, with my wife and son sharing the seafood boil w/ extra shrimp no scallops. When I saw it hit the table I though no way are they finishing but empty plates all around and miles of smiles. We had 2 apptz, drinks all around , 2 entress including the boil, and out the door for 100$. The only thing better than the food was the service, not only was our waitress outstanding (we wanted for nothing) plus they use working mgrs who are everywhere. You get treated like across between regulars and royals. We enjoyed so much, came back on a quiet Sunday night and did steaks ..alot of places can do seafood, but not beef, not the Fish Camp. Trust me you'll be hooked.
