One of the best places to enjoy real Greek food

Loved this spot for a great lunch. We ate at the bar and loved the service and ambiance. Food was excellent and loved the interesting region appropriate wine options.

Once you find it you’ll have found bright classy atmosphere, happy staff and great food. Don’t miss the lentil soup.

The staff are incredibly kind and have been very accommodating when we’ve brought our newborn in during lunch hours. The food is exceptional here. Having traveled all over Greece, this is without question the best Greek food in the DMV.

We had a wonderful dinner with five people here. It was full of diners by 5:45 pm on a Wednesday evening! Yet we received attentive service, especially appreciated by a gluten-free diner in the group. We shared small plates to start and then had individual mains -- mix of shellfish, fish, meat, veg dishes. All were delicious, featuring high-quality and fresh ingredients.

surprised i haven't been here prior; definitely a hidden gem in Tysons. The food was good, it's similar to middle eastern and other Mediterranean, just lighter on the spices and flavors. It was really busy for a weekday when we went. The host was exceptionally nice, but our server was stand offish. even when we asked for recs or details portion size or sharing. At the end, he disappeared for 15-20 mins when we were looking for him for the bill.

Went here for the first time and was very impressed. Outstanding restaurant. Definitely one of the very best Greek restaurants in the DC area. Great service, great food, and a beautiful dining room. Will definitely be back again!

The table they sat us rocked back and forth. A waiter tried remedying it with no success. It was busy so slow service was understandable. We were a party of 5 and it would have been nice if the maitre d asked how everything was after our meal but I guess it was too busy for that as well. The lamb and mousaka were good but my grilled octopus was in two pieces which was questionable. They did bring a complimentary dessert for my daughter’s graduation which was nice. For the price, I expected a better experience.

We had the Branzino and the Octopus both of which were very good. Service was excellent.

Delicious moist bronzino entree. Ordered by many other diners in the restaurant. I would return to dine here and would order the bronzino again. Server offered to debone it tableside. Enjoyed the dolmades starter with tzatziki. Roast potatoes and what i think was swiss chard were perfectly prepared as well. Restaurant is not the quietest but i didnt mind. One room seemed quieter than the other. I asked for a quiet table and got one.

Amazing location with plenty of delicious options! Drinks were delicious as well as the appetizers, main courses, and dessert. My family had a great time here and our servers were very kind and friendly!

We had dinner at this modern Greek restaurant with a bright and clean ambiance. The food was freshly cooked and tasted excellent, and the service was good, making our dining experience great. I'm not usually a fan of Baklava, but I liked the one from here. It tasted so much better than buying it from a store. We will definitely go back to try more dishes.

Very cozy and romantic restuarant. They have the best hummus ever. Lamb shack is solid.

Modern and trendy Mediterranean Greek restaurant with ambiance galore. Great place for date night. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Many choices on the menu and temptation is to try them all. The flaming cheese appetizer is a must-have, and Hummus dip.. Bread is to due for. Will be back again.

First course was delicious: beet salad, octopus and zucchini strips. The octopus was the best thing we ate in entire meal, very tender. The zucchini strips were crunchy and not limp. Great taste. The main course was a disappointment. My lamp shank was wet and at the same time dry inside. The lamb chops were honestly difficult to even cut into with a sharp knife. The Seafood Orzoto was bland. All the entrees were in general bland, no taste. Maybe we should have gone with the fish entrees? Spent 236 dollars on Easter at noon.

One of the only three decent restaurants I think of highly within a 5mi radius. Worth the money. Returned numerous times. Just as Greek food tastes in Europe and should taste in a restaurant of this kind.

Went for lunch. My entree was $24 - for 2 scallops, so $12 per scallop. Nothing else. First we got a small plate of grape leaves, which was only 3. We had 1.5 each. After my 2 scallops I was still hungry so I ordered more grape leaves to have a total of 3. That means I had to spend $46 essentially for 2 scallops and 3 grape leaves for lunch. The menu did not indicate I’d only get 2 scallops. Husband’s lunch was orzo in red sauce with seafood and his portion was big enough to not be left hungry. 2 stars because the food was flavourful at least. I likely won’t go back.

Awesome restaurant with perfect service!

This place is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a office building with difficult parking. The restaurant is split into multiple small rooms and has a clean, European aesthetic. They do all the Greek classics but in a elevated way and have a solid wine and cocktail program.

What a great meal! Three of us shared a dip sampler with tzatziki, fava bean dip, and eggplant dip. The pita was fresh and each of the dips were delicious, one of the rare times I like eggplant. I had the half grilled chicken (kotopoulo) and it was grilled very well, with lots of lemon. The potatoes on the bottom may have been the best part of a great dish. My companions got the meat sampler and the steak kebab and they enjoyed their entrées. We tried the orange cake dessert and it was moist and so good. I had some rum drink (dark sea, maybe?) and the rum with cinnamon combination was great.

We had a great time. Even though I accidentally reserved a table on another day, they were very understanding and found a table for us. Food was very delicios. Our waitress Donika was super nice and professional. We will be back!

Nostos is easily the finest Greek restaurant anywhere within driving distance of Washington, DC. And likely one of the best in the Northeast USA. This is due in large measure to the fact that owner, Peter, is onsite virtually anytime the doors are open. We have been dining here since they opened. And we have not yet had a poor - or even mediocre - dish. This is our Go-To restaurant for Date Night, for our Real Estate strategy meetings, and to take clients out. The staff has been with Peter for many, many years. They know the menu. And they know their clients. Take it from a Greek-American: we are incredibly fortunate to have a Greek restaurant of this caliber in the DC Metro area!

The food is very good, but the service at our most recent visit was something one might expect at less "lofty' establishments. We were a small party (fewer than six) in a smaller and, fortunately, less noisy room with other tables/patrons. The waiter was considerably more attentive to the other tables, while we waited . . . and waited . . . and . . .When he brought our drinks, one was incomplete, while two others, both clear liquors, prepared essentialy identically, were set down with no explanation or idea which was which. We had to taste-test them to figure it out. At one point, we planned to order a bottle of wine, but when our entrees did finally come out, the waiter hot-tailed it so fast without the standard "Is there anything else I can get you?" that we didn't have a chance. I was sitting at the end of one side and the waiter kept reaching in front of me to serve plates, remove plates, etc. I am not exaggerating to say his arm was 2-3 inches from my face each of the nearly half-dozen times leaned over to grab someone else's plate. I even said "Please stop doing that!" at one point, but to no effect. To be clear, there was room for the waiter to serve from the other side of the table and also down the table. Why he chose to repeatedly lean across me and the table bewilders me. (And whatever happened to serving guests from their left??) Maybe, just maybe, it wouldn't have seemed quite so obnoxious and disruptive if he had once said "Pardon my reach" or "Excuse me," but he never did.

Amazingly wonderful restaurant. Exceptional service. Food manages to be both Greek and light, delicious. Decor feels like a trip to Greece.

The service was spotty, the waiter rushed us to place an order. My salad was over salted I asked to order to something else and it took a lengthy time to place that order

Booked a Valentine lunch for my husband and me. I expected to be seated in the main dining area but we were placed in side tables by the bar. Ok no worries. It took a while before anyone came by to give us menus and even longer for someone to fill our water glasses. Our server was almost completely silent… never greeted us or asked if we had been there before. He barely said a word during the entire time. It just felt weird especially considering it was Valentine’s Day. Timing of food coming out was also slow but the food itself was excellent - delicious mussels for appetizer and we had the fried cod and chicken souvlaki - both delicious and a good value. It’s a shame the service wasn’t more inviting.

The Valentine’s Day price fix menu selections and value were fantastic. The appetizer, entree and dessert selections were fantastic. Lanb and filet were done perfectly with great flavor. Will be back, again and again.

It's a shame that we are only limited to five stars on this not well-known gem. The food was only second to the service, in the hands of Jerry who took care of us very professionally and courteously. His attention to detail DID make a difference. Nostos is nor your traditional American version of a Greek restaurant. The food is authentic, and the ambiance is worth any dollar you will spend there. And if you don't trust me, trust the two gentlemen in the picture at the restaurant's entrance. I should ask them wherever else they eat.

I forget how good Nostos is. Very, very good food and reasonably priced

$19 for a glass of regular red wine is a bit absurd. The octopus was good but too salty. The rockfish special was diminished by serving soggy skin skin. Any restaurant should know if you keep the skin on, the skin has to be super crispy. The service was hood but this place is over rated.

We enjoyed several small plates for dinner, everything was delicious. For 2, we had 5 mezze and a baklava at the end. Perfect amount of food. Service was friendly and on point. Never had an empty water glass, food came out in a timely fashion. Great drinks too! We will be back, thanks Nostos!

Excellent food. Server was extremely inattentive, which is the first time I’ve experienced that here. Otherwise everything was great.

We've been leaving in the neighborhood 10+ years and just found out about this spot. It definitely won't be our last - We were not too adventurous and stuck with classics like stuffed grape leaves and spanakopita. The tzatziki was amazing - the perfect balance of ingredients and delicious, creamy yogurt put it over the top! There was a good selection of wines - I chose a greek white wine recommended by our waiter and I was not disappointed. Very nice. We ended the meal with cheesecake and orange cake. I mean......heavenly. The next time we eat here, I am going to be more adventurous, because this place knows how to make good food.

Tahmina our server was absolutely phenomenal. She took the dining experience to another level. Food was fantastic as usual. 

Nostos is one of my favorite restaurants and the food is always quite good. I have had better Greek salads though with more ingredients and felt like the price of my moussaka was pretty high for a small lunch portion. My friend really liked her more reasonably priced chicken skewers.

It was ok...the mezze were good and had a wide selection. Wine was alright, they were going for Greek wines but the markup for very mediocre to subpar wines isn't great. The entrees were again just ok, lamb chops had meat tenderizer or seasoning used on veg as well that made it very salty. Lamb shank texture was great but bland. For that price I wouldn't bother

One of our favorite restaurants the food and ambience are wonderful. The owner Peter is a gracious host and we appreciate seeing him every time we eat at his restaurant.

We love this restaurant. Our favorite waiter is Jerry and we always ask to be seated in his section. He is attentive, knowledgeable and extremely efficient. He is helpful and willing to suggest options we haven’t tried and then will make excellent recommendations. The entire staff is first rate. We always take guests there for dinner and are confident that they will be future customers.

Had a wonderful dinner the night before the wedding with the wedding party and relatives. The food was wonderful and tasty. The wines were great. The service and decor were delightful. The owner was friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back when we are next in the area.

Very bad customer service and the worst part is that it came from the owner. My reservation was at 8:30 PM.At 9:00 clock we were still waiting to be seated so I nicely asked the RESTAURANT OWNER : May I know what time do you expect us to be seated? The owner responded: I HAVE NO POWER WHEN THE CUSTOMERS ARE GOING TO LEAVE so after they leave, you can be seated. I was shocked from this response, it was very insulting especially when it comes from the owner, imagine that. Then I told him : So, my question was not reasonable to you? He said I can’t tell customers to leave. I said, true but you can be nice and say :I’m sorry for taking so long, will accommodate shortly or something. NEVER WILL GO BACK.. I appreciate kindness more than food

First time dining at Nostos, and we LOVED it. Every person we interacted with was just great, and everything we put in our mouths was fantastic to. No doubt, the chefs are purely experts at their craft of creating very authentic and ligitmate Greek dishes. Loved it!

I really enjoyed some of the Greek wines! We ordered several small plates throughout the evening which allows you to try so much delicious food. Highlights were the eggplant dip, lamb chops, Greek salad, grilled octopus. All the ingredients were very fresh. Their house olive oil was amazing. I would like to compliment the staff as they were very busy on a Saturday evening, we still received great service, recommendations and a warm welcome.

Nostos serves the best Greek food in the DMV. The fish is always fresh and expertly prepared. The Bronzino is filleted table side. The feta saganaki is covered in sesame seeds with honey and almonds. I cannot eat a meal at Nostos without having it! The swordfish skewers are full of flavor and moist. All of the dips with pita are fabulous. There are many great Greek wines on the menu. The owners, Peter and his family are always around making sure that everyone is well taken care of. Gerry, our waiter, is professional and always provides the best service.

Nostos has excellent food both in quality and variety. The appetizers and small plates are especially good. The noise level is so bad that it completely ruined our dining experience. There's no way to communicate without leaning toward the other person or raising one's voice to a high level. And the prices are extremely high even by today's inflated post-pandemic standards. Three of us spent almost $200 for a lunch which did not include either cocktails or desserts.

We had a delightful meal and love Nostos. From the service provided by Hannah to the delicious food and wine, our family had a marvelous evening! Can't wait to come back again soon!!

Great place for all occasions. I had a business dinner and we were in a more quiet area in the back but they also have a nice bar and a more open and lively area.. the food and the service are impeccable!

It is always a joy to eat at Nostos. The restaurant was filled but you could still carry on a conversation. A rare occurrence in a Northern Virginia restaurant. Great staff, great service, great food! What more could you want.

Excellent experience! Dinning out is more than just top chef prepared meals...the attention to details from coat room to stellar Greek service and knowledge of menu for recommendations was appreciated ! I'm visiting Greece next year ..but will come back to Nostos for authentic Greek cuisine . Skip the cost of 5-8 fast food deliveries and treat yourself to healthy alternative. Bodie, McLean VA

We really enjoy dining at Nostos. The food is always excellent and the service is very good. We enjoy sharing the small plates and have tried the dinners too.

We had a 5:45pm reservation and very pleased the noise level was very quiet. All the items we received were well prepared.

Waiter was so unfriendly and crabby. For the price we paid for upscale restaurant..service was awful He made us feel.like we were a burden and did not offer a friendly and warm service. We won't be going back and will.let people know of our experience. For the new years eve dinner the price of 98 dollars per set meal.was not worth the money. It was aggravated by the service we received. For the amount of almost 600 we paid for 5 people It was a grave disappointment

never been a fan of dine-in Greek food and I've tried several places. mostly my food was slightly over cooked but it wouldn't have matter. If you like dine-in Greek you prob like it, but if you are like it will be a miss and you will trapped smiling around a table of friends pretending to like the food.

Went there on New Year's Eve. Was pleasantly surprised by the partially pre-fixed menu. First course tasting was the favorites of the warm appetizers. The second course was your choice of two salads. The main course was your choice of several entrees including seafood, beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian. Dessert was two bite portions of their three most popular desserts. As a regular diner, I discovered new items I have never tried and so glad I had the opportunity. BRAVO! Can't wait to return. Thank you for such a pleasant evening.

Nostos, what a divine restaurant! The customer service was impecable and provided great recommendations of food and wine upon asking for those. The wine was so good! The food was absolutely delicious! (starting with a ceviche delight, then lamb and swordfish), the Greek lemon potatoes are amazing of course. The desert, unbelievably delicious with a baklava crust, nuts and honey on the side and a delicious home made ice cream. A place for a very special occasion or everyday delight.

Incredible food with flavorful spices, but not spicy hot. Nice contrast to other Mediterranean food. We will return soon!

One of my favorite restaurants 😍❤ Celebrated my birthday there. Lamb chops to die for!! My friend and I went for lunch today. We loved everything we ordered. For appetizers we shared a Saganaki (cheese that is flamed table side and a Manouri salad [mixed organic greens, apples, sliced almonds and cheese). The salad was so refreshing and delicious). For our entrees, we got the lamb chops with potatoes and asparagus). The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. My one suggestion would be that they give steak knives with the chops. It was a little challenging to cut the chops with a normal knife...anyway, it wasn't a problem. We requested steak knives and the waiter brought some immediately. For dessert we shared a Galaktoboureko, which is a rich and decadent dessert.

We love Nostos but this time our entrees were off !! The lamb chops were extremely small and over cooked The branzino was filler poorly at the table — many bones and pieces if skin and broken up into ragged pieces One of our party ordered the branzino whole and it came filleted Just not up to its usual excellence !!

I have been here several times and it is always fantastic but tonight was exceptional. We have some favorites we always get form their standard menu and picked a few from their specials menu and they were the highlight of the meal. One standout was the sesame encrusted feta with red pepper sorbet. It was a mouthgasm in a bite. They definitely need to move to the regular menu.

A special occasion is not special if you didn't have it at NOSTOS. We have been to Nostos Greek Restaurant on many special occasion and this time was just as special as the past visits. The special feta cheese dusted with sesame and red pepper sorbet was very surprising and a delight to start our Greek cuisine journey. First of, always get the octopus htapodi as an appetizer, it's to die for. The manouri cheese salad had fruity vinaigrette that was perfectly balanced. The rockfish filet w/ capers mushrooms and was perfectly cooked. My husband lamb chops was flavorful and Smokey grilled to a desire medium rare. Don't forget the ouzo & baklava for dessert. Thank you to our wonderful wait staff from Indonesia for an excellent dining experience at Nostos. Unfortunately I didn't get her name due to the ouzo. . . ,lol

Great service and food. I've been going to Nostos since it opened and am pleased that it has aged like a fine wine. The dining room still looks great and the food remains among the best high end dining in NoVA. Really well executed small plates and entrees. I was glad to see Melitzanosalata on the specials, but really wish they would bring it back to the daily menu. I look forward to the next visit!

The food was good but the portions were small. Very small!

We have eaten here numerous times over the years mainly for lunch. We went with the family for dinner on a Saturday night. The manager was able to accommodate our party with a 3 hr window. Plenty of time. The table was tight but they were quick to remove empty plates and glasses. Our waiter was Greek and able to discuss the menu and wine list at length. The food was outstanding especially the octopus and lamb chop. No dish was lackluster. We left thinking why we haven’t frequented this great restaurant. Oversight on our part, already planning our return meal!

The food is wonderful and the menu selections diverse and plentiful. Our server was fantastic and has a great sense of humor. I trusted his recommendations from the beginning and had no regrets. We were celebrating my mother’s retirement and Nostos made it special for us. Our only reason for not giving the full 5 stars is because of the noise level in the main dining room. It was very loud and conversations were difficult. We were a group of 5 and it was just too loud. So, the server’s good humor and affable manner was the highlight of the evening. Also, the appetizers were awesome and the entrees perfectly seasoned and cooked. We enjoyed ourselves and will return.

Nostos keeps getting better and better, I love the way they present food and it is so delicious to accept suggestions from Pete and his daughter about wine and fish selection I went with Enzo Livia owner of il pizzico, and He was right a very nice, elegant authentic greek delight

Table was ready on time (I had in my reservation mentioned that one member in our party was celebrating a birthday). Appetizers were very good, but the lamb main course was over cooked. They replaced it but the chops were extremely tough/grissly. We ordered a dessert for the table and I mentioned it was my friends Bday. Dessert came, and it was good, BUT I happened to notice another table that was celebrating a BDAY, and it had a nice candle, ice cream. Not a big deal, but just added to a lackluster dinner with a hefty price tag.......
