Not impressed. I ordered thai fried rice + chicken, and spring rolls with shrimp. Spring rolls are basically loaded with lettuce, I had a hard time finding mint or cucumber in mine. It had no shrimp, which I asked for. Fried rice didn't include tomatoes (which is on the menu), and barely had egg. The fried rice itself was okay. Not really flavorful, just hot rice. However the chicken was a completely different temperature... not cold but close to it and dry. Wait staff never checked in so I couldn't give feedback on not enjoying my food, or an incorrect order until the end. Disappointed.

Nuan's Thai kitchen is a kitchen that ranks HIGH on my list of good places to eat. I ordered pork Khao Soi, and had some pork dumplings and spring rolls as appetizers. The pork dumplings were fried perfectly, and the sauce that came with them was fantastic. The spring rolls were also fried perfectly and wonderful to eat with their sweet and sour chili sauce. The Khao Soi curry was STRIAGHT 🔥 it was that good! I have only two words for the coconut curry sauce... Flavor explosion! It was one of those curry sauces that made me wonder: how did they do it? How did they make it this good? What wizardry with coconut, chili, ginger, turmeric, cardamom and more did they just pull off? Everything in that bowl: the noodles, pork, shallot, etc. tasted majestic thanks to that curry. I consider this place ESSENTIAL if you live in the Cottonwood Heights area, or if you spend a lot of time playing around in Cottonwood Canyon.

If you like spicy Thai food, this is the place. 🔥 I choose spicy level 5 and it was really spicy and super good. I probably choose 3 or 4 next time. 🤣 We ordered pad woon sen and spicy fried rice. I wish they also had Yum woon sen as well. It would be so good.

Excellent food and service. Group of 4 of us and we all had fantastic meals!! Definitely worth giving this place a try!

Noodle is not a flavor. Thai food is usually packed with flavor and heat. When I ordered and they did not ask for a spice level, I thought I was in for a treat! Not only was the food absent of spice it was absent of flavor. This was my first time trying their offerings, after a long Saturday of moving. My appetite was raging, and my hopes were high. Got the staples. Pad Thai, zero flavor. Drunken noodles, a bit more flavor, Thai rice… what exactly makes this Thai fried rice? The basil or tomato? They offered the only flavor in this gauntlet of bland rice and hammered veggies. Staff were great! Atmosphere was nonexistent, and I panicked momentarily when I walked in and thought I was in a back room liminal space video, and some vapid eternity was about to consume me. Everyone was very nice! Please season your food. I’ll try it again.

Service was fast curry was exceptional I love a good curry I recommend this place and one of the few places we're the basic level heat has some spice tp it usually I need to order hot from other locations to get near the same spice level so that is just fantastic

Tasty but spicy curry (i got the panaeng w/ avocado & mango). Definitely recommend, especially the chicken satay with the peanut sauce :] Very attentive waiter.

Their food is too notch, and the place was packed last time I went. So glad to see this locally owned business thriving in it's new(ish) location. Quick service, always friendly staff. Their massaman curry is delicious!

Food was great! We got curry and pad thai - really happy with the taste and kick. Inside ambiance could use some work, but plenty of seating.

Its ok - I got the Green Curry and the flavor was on point however the consistency of the curry needed more coconut cream or milk in it. It was too watery

Ordered Pad Sii Eiw with a level 1 spice after the waiter described 1 as being "medium spicy". To me, level 1 had very little spice and I wouldn't have described it as spicy to others. If I come back, I'll try a level 2. The dish had a nice flavor but I wish it had been stronger. I think a higher spice level would have improved it.

The place is decent. We went after a long day on the slopes. The soups are great.

I know the food is really good here because I've had it at the old location, but this was my first time at the newer Ft Union store. Sat for 25 minutes at our table without a word from the waiter(who was mind bogglingly slow) as they rang up to go, after to go order so we got up and left. There were three other tables in the dining room. I would not recommend trying to eat in as to go is the priority, not dine in customers.

Absolutely delicious food!! Service was a bit slow and short winded but the food truly made up for all of it!!!

This place is AMAZING! The spice levels are 1 to 5. 1 being the lowest and 5 the most spicey. 3 had my eyes watering with each bite lol I get Phad Thai Chicken and I'm never disappointed. My husband had never had Phad Thai but found a new love once he had. Fried Spring Rolls with their sauce is also on point. I absolutely recommend this place. Have it sometimes once a month. Cheers!

Fresh rolls were excellent. Served with a warm peanut sauce. Delicious. Pad Thai was also great. Chili spices, not sweet or tomato-heavy like many places do. Would definitely come back. The food was superb.

Delicious food, excellent service. They have a specialty dish that I've never encountered before, called Khaw Soi; it's now my one of my favorite Thai dishes ever.

***********Was not to bad, the part that could of made it a little better is if the waiter would have remembered to ask us what level of spice we might of wanted. We were not asked so we got the very mild version. It might of been a little better with just a little spice. It was not busy and we were the only ones in there at the time of dining in.

Pad Sii Eiw and Yellow Curry are both fantastic! We ordered both a level one spiciness and it definitely has heat, but not overbearing. The coconut shrimp and the banana puff are also both good choices. There are other Thai places closer to our house but we still choose the longer drive to come here.

The moment you take a bite you know it’s not your typical Thai food. It’s amazing. Once I heard when you go to a new Thai restaurant always try their pad Thai, that’s what we did and it was the best I’ve had in Salt Lake. This is a new location and I assume they are trying to improve the atmosphere as they establish their new spot, but everything else made up for it. Service was excellent, the wait was hardly at all for food. 👍

Good Thai food. Level 3 spice is actually decently spicy for a Thai place in Utah. Will go higher next time though.

The food is the best Thai we have had in this area . Highly recommend the drunken noodles and the green Papaya salad!

We picked up pad Thai, pad briew waan, and mango sticky rice. The two entrees weren’t very good and we ultimately didn’t finish them or save them because we didn’t feel like it was worth eating more. They were fine - fine enough to eat so we weren’t hungry, but not good enough to feel stoked on it or want to have it again. The mango sticky rice was good! We probably won’t go back for dinner. Maybe just to pick up mango sticky rice on its own.

This is the first time my girlfriend and I stopped by at this restaurant. We found it on our drive home looking for a highly rated Asian restaurants. Wow, it lived up to the hype. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch as well. I'm just bummed this place isn't close to my home. If you find this restaurant in your search, come through and taste all the amazing food here. The food we got is in the picture I took. She got the noodles and I got the rice dish. It was phenomenal. Come taste it for yourself. You will love it!!

Best Thai in Utah! Food in amazing. Great flavor and very clean. They pack the takeout nicely. Spice levels are true to description. Nice staff. Prices are fair and reasonable for quality. Love this place! Edit: since they have moved to the ft Union blvd location, they’ve also hired staff that are rude and unhelpful.

I am obsessed with this place! I literally crave the Curry Noodles on a weekly basis. My coworkers and I go to Nuan's at least once per week. The service may be slow but the food is well worth it! EDIT 06/30/2023 - I am SO happy that you are back in business! I just grabbed curry noodles on my lunch break and it's just as delicious as I remembered! I can't wait for pad thai on my next visit!

4.5 stars - the food was tasty and the staff actually offered to bring more heat on the side. Sometimes you don’t know what the number system means at different restaurants. My friends met up with me here for my birthday. It is a rather small restaurant but can manager medium sized groups. Watch for when they are open.

Happy you are back and open and serving. As good as I remember from the old location. Went with the usual: spring roll, chicken pad thai, chicken yellow curry. Pad thai was the best dish of the night for us. The rolls are always good but wish there was more to them than just lettuce. The yellow curry has great flavor but was a little more watery than I like or expect. Floor was managed by 1 person and he did a great job considering how many tables he had to work! We’ll be back for sure.

We were overjoyed to find out that Nuan's had reopened. It has been our go-to for the best Thai in Salt Lake for years and it felt like ages having to endure without them. Thankfully, the food is every bit what we remembered at the new location. Suffice it to say we'll be back many, many times.

Attended a catered work party here recently, I was a little nervous because, being very white, I cannot handle spice well. The dishes were very mild, but still incredibly flavorful! Very filling too. I will definitely be eating here more often!!

I ordered the Thai noodle soup and the ginger tea and was blown away by the quality. My server Rin deserves a raise. She was attentive, kind, and charismatic. I will definitely be back. 5 stars for everything except for the atmosphere. The food and service will always outweigh the decor situation but I'd love to see more of a home-y touch in the future.

We have missed this place so much!! Amazing food....we have had multiple items from here and all of it has been top-tier. The individuals working there are so kind as well which makes the meal better in my opinion. Some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Will absolutely be going back.

Welcome back Nuan's! We missed you and are so glad you made it through the pandemic. The service is excellent and kind and fast. The food is fairly priced and tastes fantastic. Also one of the only Thai restaurants that offer "Curry Soup" or Tom Yum and Khao Soi and is absolutely delicious. These are the small businesses that make our community better, especially wonderful people from other culture's living the American Dream. If you go here and enjoy your food and service please tip them well, they deserve it and losing them for two years during the pandemic reminded us how special they were.

I got take out the other night. The curry noodles were so good! Like I'm dreaming of them. I also tried the panang curry which was good, and definitely had some spice. I like spice but this definitely made my nose sweat. The egg rolls were a good addition too. Absolutely recommend. And if you don't get the curry noodles you'll be making a mistake.

We’ve been coming here for years and the yellow curry with tofu and the egg rolls has been the ONLY thing my baby has let me eat this pregnancy. It is SOOOO good! The best Thai food I’ve ever had.

Vegan options!! I ordered the Pad Thai (no egg) and a delicious dessert of mango sticky rice (also vegan, as is the case with most authentic Thai food). Delicious!! The staff were polite and courteous and it wasn't awkward to ask about vegan options. Excellent place for a good heart meal vegan or not! Five stars for sure!!

Honestly to me this is the best Thai place in the U.S. ...Maybe even the world. I don’t even live in Utah anymore, but I have gone to several other Thai restaurants since, ones even in NYC. To this day I swear by Nuan’s Thai Kitchen, not only cause of the personal connection I had with a friend. The food is genuinely exquisite, something as simple and common as the Chicken Skewers or the fried rice, tastes like no other. I highly recommend it, and can’t wait till I can eventually come in again to give my moneys worth for this incredible food :)!

Very fresh and flavorful ingredients with excellent spice level on request. Everything is good from the curry puffs, satay, spring rolls, papaya salad, soups, curries and stir-fry dishes. The staff is always professional, fast and friendly.

You gotta try the Tomyum Noodle soup. This might be the best Thai soup I've ever had. AMAZING.

I was craving Thai food and none of the usual spots close to me sounded very good so I decided to try something new... and SOOO glad I did! This place is so good!! I can tell they use quality ingredients, no watered down curries! We got the avocado/mango/massaman curry- I might say it’s the best curry I’ve ever had! My husband got the panaang curry!! The flavor of that was also amazing!!!- just more spicier if you like a little kick! We were very impressed with this place and they definitely give you enough in one order to have a couple meals.

Appetizers are great. Waterfall salad is spot on. Try it out!

This was delicious! They only did takeout so they had an interesting set up outside the restaurant door. It said it was open but no one was in sight so we called, and they came out. I think they prefer calling in or ordering online then picking up.

I wen to have dinner after seeing a 4.7 stars google rating. The food is just okay not worth the price or the high google rating. We ordered drunken noodles and green curry. The curry lacked flavor and tasted more like coconut cream (which I know is a key ingredient). The drunken noodles also lacked flavor and the vegetables were put together without any attention, I had a zucchini almost the size of my palm. I usually expect better from a restaurant with a 4.7 google rating. I hope my post can help people make a better decision than what I made. Good luck.

I have been going to Nuan's for years now, and I just love it. I live in Salt Lake City, downtown, and will go no other place for Thai - even driven driving for takeout. The restaurant is clean and the employees friendly. One thing I must say in praise is that I have special dietary concerns, so I must take extra care with restaurant food, but I have never had a problem with Nuan's food, so I will always return. Thank you for such amazing food.

The food here is excellent and the service is fast. They've adapted really well to social distancing and have excellent customer service for takeout orders.

Great food and very nice service. The waiter was patient and explained the dishes as I am a novice at Thai food tho I enjoy and try it often. We started with fried egg rolls and they were delicious. We ordered 2 different dishes to share. I'm not exactly sure what they were, But both were fantastic. And the servings were large so we took some home. I choseTofu for my meat and they prepare it really great, a little crispy actually. My wife had shrimp and it was great. I ordered medium spice and it was plenty spicy for me. You can choose your own spice level. Great food and value. I recommend this restaurant if you like or just want to try some Thai.

Excellent choice for stay at home Valentine’s Day game night! Staff was extremely nice and food was ready by the time stated. Spring rolls were fresh and loaded with lettuce and veggies. Pa Thai was also good, but make sure you cover it in those peanuts and peanut sauce they provide you.

Didn't know about this place until recently. I got the spicy vegetable stir fry. Great heat level and delicious sauces.

I'm not one for yellow curry, it reminds me of top ramen. However, the red curry was phenomenal, needed more spice. I will definitely be back to try the green curry seeing as it has a level 3 rating.
