Our go to place for special occasions.Had the perch piccata, was so good plus the famous half and half chowder. Great as always.

I think this restaurant is very high priced, and the atmosphere does not support the price. Unless you order the most expensive food. I think the food is a C+. Of course if you're willing and able to spend $120 for crab, you won't be disappointed.

FINALLY made the trip to Dans For our anniversary dinner good thing we waited soo long to go because we would have needed to get our mail forwarded there from taking permanent residency. Fantastic food , Generous portions, Great wait staff (Maggie) topped off with a complimentary Ice cream desert for our anniversary. THANK YOU!

Craved seafood and we were in the area and stumbled across this cute place. My husband and I loved the crab cake appetizer we had to order a second one. Definitely recommend making a reservation. They didn’t seem to happy we arrived without one, but managed to get us into a both right away. Food arrived quickly and everything tasted delicious. We will definitely be back (with a reservation next time).

Really cute little local place, great for date night but not really for large group. Food is good, highly recommended the Shrimp Mozambique, but it is a bit pricey.

The ambiance was nice, customer service was fair,but the food was plain. I had to order extra Alfredo sauce for flavor & the potatoes were boiled & plain as well.

We went for our anniversary and was very satisfied. We arrived 20 minutes before our original reservation time & was still seated. We ordered catfish meal for an appetizer and it was delicious. We ordered a few drinks which was also tasty 😋. Lastly we ordered the Trilogy(crab legs) and Steak dinner. Everything was very good and we're definitely looking forward to returning. Our waitress was Sandy& she was very attentive to us. Oh and we did see the man on the commercial 😊

*EDIT* We continue to come back regularly, and have yet to have a meal that was less than spectacular.** Everyone in our party of 5 was blown away by how good the food is. The clam chowder was unbelievable. I can't wait for them to open for lunch to get some chowder and bread. Stone crab was delicious, as were the scallops, shrimp, etc.... Nothing pretentious here, just fantastically good food and a server that knew just how to be there when needed, but not overbearing. I highly recommend for their seafood and can't wait to come back.

Food and service were amazing! Traci was very attentive and helpful in choosing our meals. The inside was reminiscent of summer Maine trips as teen to local eateries and very cozy feel. Can't believe this has been here for 34 years and first time in. Also like how their website had pictures of the menu dishes and they were spot on when arriving at the table. Even impressed that butter was soft making easy to spread and their homeade cocktail sauce had a horseradish kick to it. Definitely be returning for another meal.

Tucked in a plaza in the now lesser traveled areas of Auburn Hills, this place has tasty seafood, warm bread to start your meal, creamy chowder and plenty of options to fill your tummy. Walking inside you get transported to a place that really makes you feel like you might be even me on a boat, taking in and indulging in the tastes of the seas. Many of the entrees include a chowder/soup/or to get the best of both worlds a mix of them! They have specials every now and then such as stone crab season, so check in often or sign up for their email and text list. Call ahead to avoid waiting and to make sure they aren't too busy that night to accommodate you.

This was my first time here &the place is amazing. The food is better than Red Lobster, I will be going back. Well worth the money, make a reservation

Horrible first time experience called ahead they said it wouldn’t be any reservations until 730 we’re in. It was a table available but the party behind me got the table. food is expensive as though it’s a five-star restaurant, and the food doesn’t taste good not worth it I paid $124 where and I could’ve went to a five-star restaurant and have better service and food didn’t seem welcoming for a first timer better off going to a crab broil restaurant stay away not worth it

Advice: Have reservations. They will be rude to you if you don’t. I would have been fine to leave and wish I had. Because it was early, about 445 on a Friday, they had open seats. My dinner, a combination of flounder, shrimp and scallops was terrible. The scallops and shrimp were very very over done, the flounder was just meh… the best part of my meal were the veggies. I we will not return.

This place has been here for 30+ years!! Seriously how. The waitresses are quick to get you seated and your drinks. However that's the only thing that was great. I had a diet coke for starters and it awful to much carbonation. Sent it back. 2nd one looked way better and darker. I had the captains the salad was the best part plater sausage was warm, chicken was a bit cooler than I would prefer,ribs were Luke warm at best and the fries were the hottest thing I received but nothing had any seasoning at all. My wife got the east coast special. Claim chowder mix was just broth and vegetables. Her shrimp and scallops were very rubbery ,rice was under cooked flounder was not flavorful at all . A $100.00 is what this meal cost me tonight it was a waste of my money.

Enjoyed our meal with a few issues. The spicy soup was just vegetable soup with tobacco added? You could literally taste the tobacco. Why? Catfish jambalaya was good. Could have used some spice. We went on Valentine's day. 90 minute meal time which was fine. But the manager was irritating. Kept walking by gotta move tables he muttered Staring at us. After dinner they were literally standing ready to set our table. We had only been there an hour. Manager kept walking by shaking his head. If we would have been there 90 minutes I could understand. But we weren't. He was really irritating us.

Ordered online said it should be about 31 minutes would get an update. Finally after 33 minutes, I went into Restaurant only to find out that the food had been sitting there and was cold.

The service was amazing. Had a party of 4, a semi retirement party my ex boss took us to. Very accommodating, let us talk and socialize with not many interruptions. Never once got frustrated with us being there for over 2 hours. Everyone loved their food. 8 would recommend. It's a bit pricey, but you're paying for the amazing service!!

Overall very good experience and I will be going back. Reservations are recommended as it was completely full. A small seafood restaurant that does not look like it has changed much since it opened and that is a good thing. It is a casual restaurant with good food but it is very pricey. Highlights Oysters - large bluepoints, these were giants and had great clean flavor. Served with lemon, cocktail sauce, and horseradish. Spinach Artichoke dip - just a really good dip with lots of toasted bread for dipping. Conch fritters - best I have had outside of Florida. Other things we had Steamed bucket of clams and mussels - clams were excellent but mussels were over cooked so maybe best to get one or the other and not mixed. Broth was okay but could have used a bit more flavor. Spicy crab soup - was very good Clam Chowder - I didn't try but the person who had it loved it Softshell crabs with redskin potatoes - tasted great and well cooked, only room for improvement was presentation as there was a lot of empty space on the plate and not a lot of eye appeal. Clam strips - very good though one of the people who ordered it thought theirs was overcooked when compared to the other person's who ordered it. Salmon - broiled, was perfectly cooked Perch - broiled I didn't try but person who did really enjoyed them Everyone was very happy with their experience and food. Unanimous vote to go back soon

We used to frequent O’Brien’s a lot but haven’t been there since the shutdown happened. We returned tonight and it was absolutely wonderful! Our server, Maggie was sweet, friendly and attentive. The oysters were fresh, cold and delicious; the meal was great, too. Will we come back? You bet we will!!!

Long time repeat customer. Well over 12 years. Was a favorite local seafood house. Not anymore. Soft shell crab was mediocre. Oysters Rockefeller were raw underneath. Could not swallow it. Oysters on the half shell were humongous, smelled bad and inedible. New England clam chowder and their chowder mix soup was excellent as always. Service was very good. Will not return again soon. Too bad, was a favorite.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant because of the seafood. We went in mid-March, 2023 and it was not at all what we expected the dinner to be. The mussels I ordered were overcooked, had some strange slime on them and the broth was watery. I ate 5 mussels. The scallops I received were not seared properly and had a flabby texture. I had to ask our server if the chef could sear them more, she did and when she brought them back to the table, hardly no change. I ate one scallop and left the rest there. The crab my husband order was soggy and greasy from the breading as well as the frog legs. He ate what he could avoiding the soggy parts. We paid $150.00 for dinner and I left a fifteen dollar tip for our server, she maintained a good attitude through all of this. It was not her fault but rather the cook. First time coming here, we intially questioned since it was in between the salvation army and dollar general in a random plaza but the seafood was fantastic.
