This spot is my family's favorite I would say, for brunch. We usually go here before a plane ride to eat and get their biscuits. This place also has something called a toy chest, if your child finishes their meal(sure) they receive a toy. I would highly recommend to go here of looking for a place to eat brunch or just get some pastries.

👍🏻👍🏻 huevos rancheros and the coconut cake and the chocolate cheesecake. They were so extra nice to us we had some special circumstances.

Fun, local diner. Decor is from 40's with lots of newspaper stories framed and hung. Would have loved to take the time to read them all. We got seated right away, yet service was a little chaotic. Didn't have one waiter, but a bunch of different guys. Portions were large, had a lot of leftovers for bfast the next day. They did have a GF muffin, it was okay. No GF bread though. I'm a health nut, so not sure I would go back with so many other options. Parking is a royal pain in the butt. Only street parking, and it's a VERY busy street with not many options for parking. For that reason alone I won't go back. I hate the hassle.

Great service and food always hits. I ask for my potatoes extra crispy and their side muffins are always amazing. Portions are large and great price. Seating can be hard to get but it’s worth the wait! No pics because I always devour my food immediately lol

Always yummy. And accommodating. They have a wide variety of decadent and healthy. Sugar free muffins are delish! Smaller place and in the weekends they bring in a good crowd.

This is an old school diner with old school portions. I had the biscuits and gravy skillet, and my not so inner fatty was in gluttonous heaven! This place is small but fills up and empties quickly. Chairs and tables probably haven't been updated since they were purchased, and I love it! Service was fast and accurate. Baked goods looked amazing. There was a cinnamon roll the size of my fist with my name on it for next time. They do accept credit cards, but cash is always better in places like this.

This Diner definitely has more stars that I could give x10 more . I travel a lot and trust me when I say , I’ve never felt so much positive vibes all around . The employees are all so friendly, smiling they will stop to ask about your day . Yes it gets packed and you will have to wait for a seat depending on what day and time you go but it’s worth it and you don’t wait long . We went 4 days straight that’s how great it was every meal we ordered was so delicious . Definitely would be our spot to go eat next time we go .

We were looking for a place where my wife and I could meet her sister who lives in Redondo Beach for breakfast and both sisters fished up Ocean's Diner. They have wonderful breakfast options with a focus on fresh ingredients, sustainable practices, tasty meals, and efficient service. We took a table near the back and had a great breakfast. My eggs with bacon and oatmeal were totally satisfying.

A genuine old school diner with a large selection of great food in a classic setting. Bring your appetite because portions are generous. Friendly staff. Good service. Same owners as Java Man which is a great coffee place without the big corporation nonsense. Shop and dine local at Ocean Diner and Java Man.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The place seemed to be filled by locals and it was easy to see why. They say their coffee is next-level and that’s also accurate. Shoutout to Jose for taking great care of me with a smile. Hope to return soon!

This is my 4th time to Los Angeles, and the Ocean Diner is one of my favorites in town. From its friendly and knowledgeable staff, to it’s finger licking food selections, this place tops the list for breakfast joints. For about 40 years in operation, the venue is meticulously decorated with 1940’s memorabilia, a nice taste of nostalgia away from the jam packed city center!

My friend and I love eating here any chance we get. The food is phenomenal! The service and staff are usually good! Like really good. The reason I put 4 stars is because lately, we get this waiter that seems so busy and overloaded that all we hear is yes, ok yea yea, and then something is missing or added that isn't supposed to be. It's not like a huge missing item. For example, I don't and can't eat raisins with oatmeal, and I always say no raisins, please. I would like blah blah. He always says ok yes really fast." My oatmeall comes, and there's raisins, I have to wait for the rest of the condiments, and then my oatmeal is cold. Raisins or no raisins, it's still our favorite place to eat at!!! I will always recommend it!!! Oh, sit outside if you like to people watch!!!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the South Bay.

Decent little hole in the wall. Limited seating inside. Additional seating outside on the sidewalk. Extensive menu. We had brunch. The biscuits were heavenly. The fruit bowl we ordered The omelettes were huge. The home fries/potatoes were inconsistent. Some were well done and crispy, the others were just very soft and lacked anything other mushiness. The huevos rancheros sauce tasted (and looked) like regular salsa out of a jar. Overall we spent over $200 to feed 5 adults and 3 kids.

My go-to spot every time I'm visiting my family in Redondo Beach. Per usual, food was excellent, as was the service - which hasn't changed in over a decade!

Honestly..I never eat breakfast.. but this place has changed my mind. This is the place.. and lunch and dinner. It's like cooking at home.. without cleaning up. Love it

Best Beach Town breakfast in the South Bay! Variety, flavor, freshness, groovy 1950's decor and Very talented and friendly team. Parking can take patience but worth it! Excellent coffee for a diner as they are also Java Man Coffee.

Ocean Diner was not my first pick for breakfast while staying next door at Quality Inn Hermosa Beach but the breakfast there was not up to par. Thankfully this place was less than a min walk. Arrived on a Monday around 8am, it wasn't so busy when we walked in but when we left it had quite the crowd. The coffee was strong, restroom clean and the diner had a bunch of cool décor. Ordered the Jimmys omelette - Chorizo, tomato, onion, cilantro, Ortega chilies, jack cheese. I don't usually order omelette's when I am out but it was very tasty! it's changed my perspective on them! Also, got the short stack typical but good! For two of us the bill came to about $35 with tip!

Walked in and it was packed! A sign that the food will be good here! Ordered the California enchiladas so so good, fast friendly service great atmosphere and right next to hotel I do recommend

Love this little place. Been going for years and years. A lot of different options from breakfast to lunch and dinner type plates. Everything always freshly prepared. Enough items to please everyone. Great service always. ..oh and great homemade desserts!

I knew I would love this breakfast diner when we could smell bacon from a block away! The food was delicious. We had the morning after skillet and a side of biscuits and gravy. Pastries are house-made, and I think we’re gonna try their homemade donuts next time. I was told the restaurant opened only 35 years ago, but you feel like you’ve stepped into a real 50s diner complete with a shelf of old toasters and newspapers and print ads from the 40s and 50s. It’s charming.

Delicious restaurant. Went for breakfast and I ordered the skillet with sausage, biscuit, over easy eggs and cheese. Wife went with the apple cinnamon waffles. Delicious. Beautiful ambiance and great service!

A small cozy spot that will not disappoint especially for breakfast. The menu covers whatever home cooking craving you may have and there are legit fitness minded options available if you are in to that sort of thing. Service has always been great and the staff will make you feel welcome.

Hands down my favorite breakfast spot in SoCal. Can be a bit of a wait at busy times but totally worth it. Try a Skillet. My favorite is the Country Skillet. Wait staff is great. Atmosphere is too. Definitely try this place.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Southbay of Los Angeles, small place with a good amount of seating, indoor and outdoor not a lot of parking around but the food is very fair. Price and portions are large and the food is very tasty. I think you’re safe with ordering anything on the menu. It will probably be good.

Good consistently made food. Recommended for a good breakfast or lunch. This diner is closed for dinner. Staff are nice and generally long wait times the mornings of the weekend. Try the Crunchy French toast... not the healthiest option on the menu but really good.

Overall had a great experience with fantastic service. Think: classic diner meets upscale. My wife and I tried two skillets: Hot Stuff and the Cabo Wabo. Hot stuff was great and came with a very tasty homemade salsa. Cabo Wabo had a tasty green salsa topping, but the rest lacked flavor a bit. Coffee was good quality. Decor was a step above typical plastic coated diner-style tables, instead featuring a classy faux-wood veneer that felt premium, and a nice umbrella for shade. The service was outstanding. Overall, can't wait to come back when we're in the area again - they had so many things that looked good - enticing riffs on diner classics - that we didn't get to try.

Ate here 8:20 am Thu/7 July. Had the "Baja Sandwich" (whitefish on sour dough) with home fries. Great food, friendly service, cute diner.

Brisk family-feel service diner. Comfortable setting with outdoor seating and a parking lot. Luxurious cuisine served steaming hot. Grace your plate with homemade biscuits! Feast and then enjoy a walk by the beach.

So good we went back the next day. Generous and great quality. Awesome coffee and 'impossible-to-choose' menu. But whatever you choose would be incredible. Beautiful biscuits, the best waffles, creative combinations... We loved it!

You know it's bad when you have to use the water served to clean the utensils provided because of how dirty they were/looked. The fries were borderline inedible and the water tasted bad hence why I used it to wash my utensils. The burger was honestly not bad so there's that but when not even the utensils can get properly cleaned it makes you wonder how clean their cooking practices are.
