What a jewel of a find!! Outstanding tapas. Great cocktails. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Very small tapas restaurant. We sat at the bar area and really enjoyed the conversation with the bartender. He was so nice to share the special ingredients they used to make the cocktail, and it was so interesting. The food tastes fabulous. The devil eggs and the mushroom dish were our favorite. The cauliflower was also very tasty, even without the dipping. It is a very small and very popular restaurant. We went without a reservation and luckily we got a seat immediately. But reservation is recommended in general. And we definitely will return to try some other dishes as well.

Delicious but pricey. Not a fan of seating so close together, but it’s a cute spot. Great spot for a spring or summer day if you can get some limited outdoor seating.

Good tapas and good drinks. The staff are very nice and attentive and the atmosphere is legit. Very intimate and cozy, good for a date or just to hang out at the bar with friends.

Finally got to pop in here for a quick drink and small bite to eat. First of all, the bartender was on it! I haven't seen such good service and hard work in a while at a restaurant. The drink was delicious, just had one tapas, not only is it actual tapas prices but brought me right back to one of my favorite dishes I'd had in Spain years ago. Lovely ambiance, I definitely plan on going back many times to explore the menu!

Seasonal menu for the tapas loving couple. Perfect for first dates and anniversaries alike, this ballard anchor, Spanish restaurant provides cozy seating and an intimate setting for any dining occasion. The cocktails are thoughtful and diverse. I’d of course recommend the ever changing dumpling selection!

Great spot in Ballard for tapas. Get a bunch of things and share with the table. Sit outside on a nice day if there is room. Everything is very good. Be sure and try the meatballs!

This is your friendly neighborhood tapas bar, and it is RIGHTEOUS. Small, no-nonsense, cozy space with great food, solid service and expertly-made cocktails. Nothing fancy or affected here - just great food with great people.

Cocktails are amazing and service is good but that’s it. Exorbitant prices for less than mediocre food and portions that are equivalent to samples given out at Costco. Don’t waste your money, plenty of other places nearby if you’re looking for food.

Sat outside and service was excellent. The food is really good and the plates are actually small so you can enjoy several different things without being completely stuffed.

I’ve been coming to Ocho for years and it’s been a while since I’ve been back, and I’m glad I came back! It’s just a great place to get tapas, and it’s rare to find that in Seattle. Looks like they still offer happy hour which is a bonus. This is a great place to share plates and try a lot of variety on the menu. The more you get the more you get or try! It’s a small place so come prepared for that. Smaller groups are better. Drinks are decent as well. The service was top notch! Grab all the things off the menu if not keep going back you won’t be disappointed. Croquetas Borrachas are my fav!

It took 2 hours for a sandwich with 13 people in the restaurant. Should be named Dos instead, for how many hours you wait for food here. Unfortunately the food was a dos too.

Went during Seattle Restaurant Week. The 3 course meal was very good. I think the best part we’re the pintxos. The paella wasn’t that good. But overall the service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. I would come again to try the regular menu.

Great small plates and delicious drinks. The buffalo cauliflower was a little too sour for me, but my wife liked it.

Food is always fabulous and while we were sitting outside & it started to sprinkle, they opened the awning so we could continue to stay outside in fresh air!

This is a fun, small, noisy spot specializing in tapas. I went with a friend and we shared four dishes: Shrimps with garlic (VERY good, but quite small - just four shrimp and one teeny piece of toast); tortilla (the Spanish kind, not the Mexican kind; it was good but small, kind of like a slice of quiche rather than the disc that I expected); the patatas bravas (delicious and a HUGE portion, with two great sauces to dip them in); and a broccoli dish with pine nuts, also big. (To be fair, the first two were described as small tapas and the second two were "tapas mas grandes," so there was no deception there.) I had a cocktail called Sergio Leone, bourbon and lemon and ginger, very good, and a glass of rosé, also good. Our server was smart and friendly

Bad service at the end left a sour taste, which was a shame because the food was very good. There were three staff members serving and only one seemed to be working so that when it came time to pay she was too busy to provide the level of service she had initially provided, (while two other staff stood behind the bar doing zip!)

Really good food and friendly staff. Favorite dish: Setaz de Jerez (sherried mushrooms + toast + arugula)

This is an excellent place for tapas that has some gluten free, vegetarian, and soy free options. The staff is very knowledgeable about their ingredients.

Nathan is perhaps one of the best bartender I have experienced. An artist with alcohol. Pairing cocktails to personal tastes and matching with foods we ordered. The food is amazing as well. Simple combinations with exquisite flavors. Will definitely be back!

Pub and Tapas style restaurant. I didn't try any of the drinks, but they had a large selection of cocktails. The food I had was absolutely divine. I had 2 plates, which was the perfect amount of food for me. I had the Croquetas Barrachas, which was 2 deep fried balls of mild goat cheese with a romesco sauce (similar to a marinara). That was a regular menu item. I also had a seasonal dish, Albondigas de Cordero. That was a few lamb meatballs with a couscous salad and cultured cream. The meatballs had a red sauce on them, probably the romesco sauce. With both plates, the flavors of everything on the plate blended and complimented each other perfectly. I walked out of there with a huge smile on my face. The 2 bartenders/wait staff were great and the food came quickly. The atmosphere inside was more like a small pub. It had dim lighting and music playing. The only downside is that the chairs and benches are not padded, just a hard wooden seat. I noticed that they had several tables of outdoor seating, which seemed quite popular. Of course the weather was quite nice that day.

By far my favorite restaurant ever with my favorite bartenders. If you drink, get a dealers choice!! They will amaze you! Otherwise the food is amazing. The atmosphere is amazing. I just love love love it here.

Fantastic little bar with great plates. I was once refused service, rightly, when we popped up already hammered but the bartender was so direct and polite about it I'm pretty sure I said yes sir (not sarcasticly) lol. Love this place. Definitely ask for a bartender reccos if you're unsure. They know what's good

Loved it if course, what's not to love about this place... but like every bar/ restaurants in Seattle these days, it feels a bit overpriced...I mean $16 for a cocktail that is 50% ice cubes feels a bit stiff. It is just a sign of the times.

I've heard amazing things about Ocho for years but haven't been. Normally because there is a long wait to get in. But now I understand that. The atmosphere was nice, the food and cocktails were delicious. I had a really nice time here.

Possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. The waiter was argumentative and made the overall experience uncomfortable, and happy hour food was just over-priced crackers and cheese. Definitely would not recommend.

We came here Sunday evening and everything was amazing! Our server was very kind and made us super yummy surprise mocktails! The food was absolutely delicious - my favorite was the Brussels sprouts, the bread with burrata, pancetta wrapped dates and get the dessert churro! You won’t regret your experience here and I will definitely be back 🙏

Some of the best food I've had in Seattle.

Really nice time. We had all kinds of tapas. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. They have an extensive wine list and cocktails too. Tiny place so they get busy, fast. Waits can be long on weekends. Well worth your time if you like tapas. 🙂

Knockout small bites and friendly staff. The dumplings are incredible, but it’s hard to pick favorites when everything is so on point.

Amazing food, amazing service. One of the most talented chefs in town! Small place, so be patient getting a table, but a memorable experience every time.

The late summer dumpling dish is one of the best dishes 4/4 of us visiting have had in a while. Everything was great. 10/10 recommend.

Delicious small plates for great prices. The mushrooms in sherry sauce were incredible. The flavor combinations they use are so creative and soso yummy. I asked the server for a mocktail. They asked what flavors I liked and whipped something up, whatever it was, it was delicious!! Definitely a stop on your way thru Ballard!!

Pretty decent little hole-in-the-wall sized tapas joint. I stopped in with a friend for some dinner and drinks. The food was generally pretty good, with the croquetas borrachas being one stand out excellent item. The only reason I held back from 5 stars is not having pulpo a la gallega on the menu - by far my favorite thing to get at a tapas place. I'd go back though, for sure.

The tapas here are amazing, I always get the deviled eggs, croquette, and anchovies. Their seasonal entrees were always great, but recently they switched to a brunch menu. Unfortunately I’ve tried a few from there and they were not very good. I got one that was basically a scrambled egg with mushrooms that I could have made myself. Another was a burrata sandwich that was really hard to eat and kind of bland. Hopefully they will still rotate their menu and things will get better

This tapas bar has a fun and cozy vibe. They have a variety of dishes, most in small and digestible portions. It’s a good place stop by both before or after a meal. All the food we’ve tried has been decent, and Ocho has become one of the go-to places in this neighborhood.

Horrible experience. We visited this place hoping to find delicious tapas based on the reviews from Google. We ordered three dishes, the mushroom toast, dumplings and salad. To our surprise, all of these dishes were made spicy by adding red pepper flakes despite not being stated in the menu. When we told the waiter, he replied with "Spanish food is always spicy". My friend, who is from Spain, was quick to point out that this is very far from the truth and should be listed in the menu since she's sensitive to these peppers. So we decided to order another mushroom toast, but this time without the red peppers. The waiter said this wouldn't be a problem; however, when he brought the food it came with the red peppers again. At this point, we were not happy with the service and went to speak with the waiter one more time. He became extremely irritated and told us that we had been disrespectful by criticizing their food and that he had warned us that the food was all pre-made with spicy peppers. This was not what he had told us earlier, so he was clearly lying to us now. We asked to speak with a manager, and the waiter said he was in charge. However, another person came from the bar, spoke with us and voided our tab. We left this restaurant in complete and utter shock given how poorly we were treated. When we asked the waiter how we had been rude/offensive to him, he refused to give us an answer and instead kept saying that if we didn't pay our bill we would never be allowed to dine in that restaurant ever again. Pro tip: If you work in the service industry, you cannot treat your customers this way. This issue would have been easily resolved by simply speaking to us and not acting like a child.

The food was great, everything was great until I asked the server if we were charged for something we order but we did not get. We got an attitude and we're were even told that they did not ripped off people. They guy was very run and made the whole experience very unpleasant

I really wish Ocho had more gluten free and dairy free options. We were pretty limited on food selection, just eggs and potatoes. While totally acknowledging the fact that 1. Ballard is expensive in general and 2. This isn't Spain, the dishes are over priced for the quality of food. I wasn't impressed with any of the flavors I tried (even the Albarino was not a good example of that wine). Tapas are supposed to be snack size, and they are, but since when does a snack size portion command a $10 price tag?

We love Ocho. But tonight they wouldn't answer the phone and when we arrived they were done cooking 20 mins or more before closing even though we just wanted to take out

Want to start off with the positive. The service was great, very attentive and friendly staff!! They deserve 5 stars. Really they were great!!! The negatives. The chair I used should be thrown out, it's eventually gonna collapse. The food was just alright, not anything I would go back for. The devil eggs were missing the salmon roe, the meats on the charcuterie plate were meh at best.... I can see this place being a good spot for a couple of drinks and a snack, but not to eat. Now in all fairness to them this is kind of a consistent issue in Ballard, that people with limited experience with food, a limited palate giving good reviews for unbalanced meals/plates. So in short..its alright...kinda almost good, but not great...just needs a little focus on the food and it could be a great spot....kinda like Ballard as a whole.

Perfect little spot for tapas. I tried only a small sampling of things but it hit all the marks for me. Nice olives, almonds, and the little croquetas were spot on. Will absolutely be back to explore more of the cocktail and food menus.

Staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. Food menu rotates so what is listed online may not be most up to date. Tapas was fantastic. We kept ordering and ordering. We'll be back again.

Our first time back to Ocho in about 4 years. It remains wonderful, with excellent tasty tapas, a very creative menu of house original cocktails, many with house made or infused ingredients, and Nathan—a friendly, professional, and attentive bar tender.

Really cute interior! We wanted to like this place a lot but unfortunately they were quite pricey for what you get. The sangria wasn't that tasty and the portions were tiny (even for tapas portions). I would go back for a different drink but that's about it.

Cute indoor small space with tables to sit outside and enjoy the hustle and bustle of market and 24th. They have good tapas and fun cocktails but service was slow, might be a little understaffed now (understandably, seems everywhere is). Will come back in a few months

This is probably, easily becoming one of my favorite places in seattle. It feels very Barcelona. Low key, no frills spot, with awesome bar staff, lovely range of tapas, drinks, and wines. Get the Burrata, the dates, and the shrimp! Lovely place for solo dining, a date or smaller group. This place is small so large groups might be a challenge.

Phenomenal, just flavor bomb after flavor bomb of small plates.

We had a really great experience here. The small plates have a ton of flavor and are very interesting while being classic and authentic. The broccoli dish was a great way to get our greens in while still really enjoying a decadent dish. I’d had a mocktail made for me that was better than any cocktail I’ve had in a while. The selections are small so ordering a lot is a good idea and a great way to have a nice big meal while trying lots of things.

A cozy spot with great tapas, warm and friendly service, and awesome cocktails. You’ll find everything from olives to steak to soup to churros in lovely shareable fashion.

This bar is such a beautiful, intimate setting on the corner of the street. It is the perfect size to feel very comfortable and not crammed. There are some good food items including gluten-free and vegetarian snacks. The drinks and service were great.

After a few years I finally returned to Ocho. I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. Very nice staff. Everything on the menu is delicious and unique. My faves were the gambas al ajillo (prawns in garlic butter), albondigas, and Spanish tortilla. It's a cozy little place that's well worth the visit.
