I LOVE O'Doherty's! It's always a great time with food that is amazing with home cooked flavors. I highly recommend the Shepherds pie, meatloaf sandwich and all of the burgers. There are plenty of frosty beverage options, and of course, the Irish Pub spirit is strong. Lastly, the service is friendly, fast and the nicest in Spokane! This place is a MUST stop.

I was greated and welcomed immediately. Shannon the bartender was excellent. Great vibe in the restaurant and everyone is so gracious. I had the roast beef dip and it was fresh and tasty. The apple crisp they make was also excellent. I would highly recommend this place because the food is good and the people that work there are incredibly nice. Tim the owner and Shannon the bartender genuinely care and make you feel at home. I was visiting Spokane from Seattle and willl go back again.

Absolutely great service provided by Mr. Shannon! He was graceful, receptive, and incredibly kind! The food was tasty as I ordered the mozzarella cheese and the irish dip!

The food was absolutely excellent.

The fact I’m writing this while I sit here says all you need to know. The “service” is chaotic, we had three different people “check” on us and that itself was meh. I look around the tables and it is 2/3 full so being busy is not a viable excuse. The food itself is subpar, meaning that it’s obviously from some frozen manufacture, heated to a boiling temperature, and served as a delicacy you should not only savor but accept as homemade. Our appetizer arrived and before mentioning silverware the one server disappeared, leaving us to decide on fingers or pilfering two sets from a local table, we took the later. Anyway, like I said in the beginning, I am writing this while waiting for our check, so that itself should give you an indication of our experience and why we will not come back here for a meal. Thank you.

Everything was fantastic! By far and away the best Shepherd's Pie I'd ever had! If I'm ever in Spokane again, I'll be back in a heartbeat!

Very friendly waitress who made godd suggestions and answers our questions about the thousands of signed dollar bills on the walls, which were fun to read. Chicken sandwich and apple salad were great.

Family run for over 35 years and such amazing people. They care about the community and their influence in it as well as putting out quality food at reasonable prices. The Fish & Chips is bar none the best I've ever had and I come from Seattle.

Gone here many times. Didn't realize they're so intolerant of kids expressing they don't like degeneracy. Fish and chips are great to be fair, service is decent. However a company they push their degeneracy movement as if its tolerance, while using government roads they claim are patriarchy built and funded but obviously matriarchy funded, to put non american flag when they wouldn't accept any other BELIEF SYSTEM doing that. Then when kids ride on the road in a certain way call it a hate crime deserving 10 years in prison for how they road the scooters. How is it ok to be a biz taking a stance like this and not expect some customers don't like that. YOU chose to make your establishment politically oriented, and should be reviewed as such. The actual hate group would,be the group with lots of power spreading degeneracy defacing the road, but the proclaimed hate group of kids who merely road scooters a certain manner? All this business has done on the local media is complain anyone not accepting them pushing their views as intolerant, while literally spreading intolerance towards any other beliefs than their own. Always victimizing that they are the victims when they start the propaganda and just don't like peoples reaction to it. Disgrace, can't see their own intolerance.

The best fish and chips that I've had in a long time. They use Guinness beer in the batter, and it makes a huge difference. They owner stopped and talked to every table to ensure everyone was well fed. This local irish pub is a great asset to the community. We'll definitely be back with another dollar. 😊

Such an odd experience. It was dark, dingy, and dirty. Was extremely difficult to get service despite being half full. The dollar thing is a cool idea, but it needs to be organized and cleaned up. Trying to relax and having strangers jump around on the counter in front of you while drunkenly screaming isn't exactly a good time. I'm sure it's fine during the day, but I definitely wouldn't be coming back after dark.

On our Road Trip from Seattle to Yellowstone we stopped by in Spokane. We wanted to go passed but considering its amazing pictures safari we decided to take a stop here. We wanted to eat burger but saw this irish restaraunt. We went in and the interior looked very crazy. Thought that it was August we sat outside. The service was great as the guy came quick to us. He brought some cold water. We ordered and the food arrived very quickly. The mozzarella sticks were amazing as the cheese from the inside was merged and the outside crispy. My friends were also happy with their food. A small improvement would be the bathrooms as the toilets were a little bit old and the space was small. But ofcourse I will revisit.

This place has the perfect Guinness pour! Highly recommend!

First time ever eating here but very impressed. I had walked by but always wrote this place off as a bit of a dive, but very surprised. Might sound strange to order a salmon sandwich at an Irish place but it was incredible. The servers here are excellent and very fun. Great lunch spot right next to riverfront park.

We held our son’s REHEARSAL DINNER in the back room. I was worried that it may be too casual but it ended up being the PERFECT balance with the wedding the next day. We ordered several trays of food. Service was amazing considering we had about 35 people to please. Price was surprisingly reasonable. For your next big party I couldn’t recommend this place any higher. Location is great too! Take a walk by the river and then enjoy a meal at the grille. What could be better? Thank you, Lilly and Shane, for making this important event roll out just right.

What a wonderful and fun atmosphere. If I lived here I would come here regularly. This will always be a stop whenever I travel by though! Our server was funny, food was delicious, and prices were pretty good.

It's your Classic Irish Pub. Wood bar with brass rails, love it! We were thirsty and in need of caffeine, so we stopped in. Great conversation! Found the scoop here about where the karaoke 🎤 spots were. Every city, state, country in the world, any 🎤 🍸 is worth trying. We even made friends there too! Can't wait to come back. Nice to be a tourist for ONCE! LOL

Place is awesome, good beer and good food. I always make it a point to visit when im in Spokane.

When we came in recently the owner created us but then apologized that he needed to help some teenager who'd have wandered in. The kid had become separated from his family or something and didn't have a phone and the owner was using his own phone to reunite him with his family. What a great guy. Oh and the food is delicious and the bartender knows how to make a black and tan with proper separation and there was a band playing lovely Irish tunes. I guess they are there every Sunday. Anyway O'Doherty's is a Spokane treasure and you should go there right now.

Great place. Second visit and will visit again but they ran out of bread pudding, Why I came for a birthday meal and dessert. Better luck next time.

Hands down the best place in spokane for fish and chips.

Technically, their Shepherd’s Pie is actually cottage pie (no mutton). Delicious.

Came down once before a few years back for brunch and then again this February of 24 for restaurant week. Waitress was very friendly and took great care of us to the best she could while some items had been ordered to the limit of their ingredients earlier in the night. The egg roll Rubens and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious

Foods alright, pretty decent. But there is no way to order not in person. They say you can call, bit they don't answer the phone, so, you can't. If I'm working downtown I usually calm ahead and come pick up my order, as I can't wait 40min on a lunch break. But you can't do that here, and they have no online orders, so.

Wish I had grabbed some photos - but this place was GREAT. Lots of fun options, all the liveliness that you would expect from an Irish grille, reasonably priced, and a great location.

I wish I had taken pictures of the food. It was mine and my wife's first time here at we were very satisfied with the place. It was warm when we went last summer so we got to sit outside and enjoy the appetizers, the Butte Pastie, and the fish'n chips. The Fish was a really tasty Guinness badder and the beef Pastie was really tasty. I highly recommend this joint. We really enjoyed our time there.

We were immediately transported to Ireland upon entering the pub, though the money covered walls were a twist. Lol. My husband loved the Shepherd’s pie, the pretzel was delicious as was the mustard it came with, and my veggie burger was fantastic! Minimally processed with real veggies - just yum. Service was quick and friendly.

Amazing food every single time.

In an Era of brewery's being a majority of restaurants in the area, coming to an Irish themed restaurant was a refreshing experience. We are tired of going to different breweries and having identical food and drink as each other. This place was a more cultural experience and the food and drinks were good. Pretty frustrating to drive from all the way up north, pay for parking etc just to be denied service cause of a private party :/ even called ahead of time but got no answer, of course…couldn’t offer a pint for next visit or anything 🤷🏼‍♂️ not even a “sorry about that” lol

I believe O'Doherty's is suffering from the lack of staff just like several restaurants in the area. I would have in reased my rating had the service been better. It took almost 20 minutes to place my drink order on a Thursday afternoon at 4:20 pm.

This last time was mediocre. Usually food and service are excellent here...but then again, I haven't been here for a few years...so maybe the quality isn't as high as it used to be. Or perhaps it wasn't as good because they were super slammed the night we visited. 3 of us ordered fish and chips...all of our fish was hot but the fries underneath the fish were cold and dead...the server brought hot fresh fries out when we said something but I have to say I think this is the only time I've gotten cold fries served with hot fish at an Irish pub. I also suspect the chef must have known the fries were dead and just decided to let it go out anyway...which is a little disappointing considering the 40+ minute wait time for food after we ordered. Scotch eggs were good...especially with the spicy mustard they serve with it, but the sausage was dry and overcooked. Pretzel was the best thing I ate that night...it was big, delicious and perfectly cooked. Drinks were good...prices were reasonable. It's definitely a lively Irish pub...the atmosphere was great. The staff (bartender, hostess, guy who was presumably is the owner) were friendly and fun to be around :) our server, on the other hand, was not super attentive (again probably because of how busy the place was) but did get us taken care of.

Had a rueben sandwich it was excellent! I also ended up getting my dinner paid for by a gentleman who was sitting next to me.

We had fish and chips...very good. The Sheppard's pie was good but a ½ order came out different than expected but good and the hamburger was delic

Definitely a must try and experience place. Got Shepherd's Pie and was amazing. Scottish eggs were awesome! Good Ole pints of Guinness to wash it down was the cherry on top. Bartenders were awesome and hospitable. Locals were just as welcoming.

Irish stew has sausage, which I’ve never seen before even when we traveled to Ireland. The corn beef and cabbage is the best I’ve had in Spokane. Shepherds pie had cumin? Tastes like chili covered in mash potatoes. No one liked it. Fries were soggy. Fish was “ok”. Batter was thin. Not like you find in Ireland. Service was slow. But, atmosphere was great

Lived here since 1984 and I had never been in before. Very interesting with all the signed dollar bills all over the walls and ceilings. Music in the other room wasn't too loud. Several friends went over there for dinner. Last night.

We didn't eat but had a couple of beers. Large beer selection and great wait staff.

Odohertys is the best. The food always hits the spot, the portions are great, and they’re the only place I’ve found in Spokane that serves layered beers. Whenever we have family in town and are looking for a chill spot to enjoy some food and chat, Odohertys is the top of our list. They also host events. We hosted a family event there recently and it was amazing. And very reasonably priced. Odohertys will always be one of my favorite Spokane spots. Make sure you ask the waitress about adding a dollar to the wall.

Just what i expected. A little divey with great service and wonderful food and drink. Meatloaf was hot and smothered in brown gravy. Old fashioned just the way i was hoping for. Black and tan excellent

O’Doherty’s Irish Grille offers good food and service. The Reuben was okay but could be made better with more crisp bread. The Corned Beef & Mash Potatoes was fantastic! Would not recommend the house Amber Ale it had an acid reflux flavor, but the layered Guinness/Apple Cider was delicious. Overall, the money on the walls and atmosphere was decent but we probably would not come again in the future.

We sat outside. The food was great and service was fine, but the patio is on a street with lots of loud cars and motorcycles. I know it's not something they can do anything about, but it certainly made the experience less delightful.

One of my friends visited this pub yesterday and was deeply affected by the experience. Racial slurs and profanities were hurled at her unprovoked by an aggressive restaurant patron. Management and staff of the restaurant failed to de-escalate the situation. The staff simply asked if my friend would like a "free shot" for her inconvenience. She left the restaurant with a heavy heart and feeling violated. My friend was appalled by the lack of action taken by the staff. She felt that her safety was disregarded, and that the staff minimized the gravity of the situation. She will not be returning to that pub. This behavior is unacceptable and violates customer rights to a safe environment. The restaurant should have taken steps to protect the customer, such as asking the aggressor to leave. Failing to do so shows a lack of consideration for the customer's well-being and safety.

Yesterday, a friend visited this pub and the experience left them traumatized. A fellow restaurant goer unprovoked approached her aggressively and berated her using a bunch of profanity and racial slurs. The restaurant wait staff/management did nothing to de-escalate the matter. In fact, they simply asked my friend if she would like a “free shot” for the inconvenience. This is not an establishment for the people!

Nice outdoor seating, friendly staff, good location close to the Riverfront. We had the Irish Stew and Fish & Chips, adding a side of Cole Slaw. Good, tasty food, good brews and wine.

Best Black and Tan I've had in a long time

This was one of the first places we came to when first visiting Spokane. Now we live here and visit everytime we come to the Riverfront Park! Great service and atmosphere! The owners have a great time as well! Thank you!
